| Her abilities seemed to take hold, the Red Mage took the instant he was freed the time to cast an ability on the Monk before getting hit by Raiden. However, all seemed to have been for nothing after the Monk cured the Red Mage of all his debuffs. Having focused on making sure the caster wouldn't be able to aid, this seemed like a problem. Still, the Thief remained being beaten around at present, but she believed that ability was also running out.
Looking over the enemies, Dieter was still dealing with his and Syel was on the move. Turning herself around and pulling back her bow, an enchanted arrow formed in her hand on her bow as she readied and aimed for the Thief's legs. Then she fired the arrow with Vitals Shot, if it hit the Thief's legs before he knew what was going on, it'd at least mean that the man would be unable to move and Sylph could continue beating the guy with Aero's. Sylph did just that as she fired another Aero spell at the Thief. Pulling her bow once more, this time a glowing arrow formed and was fired while Ysera turned around again, this time for the Red Mage. The arrow, a Sidewinder, flew in a curve to strike at the Red Mage, having a great way of tracking. For now she planned to keep the two foes busy.
Sylph stayed out of the Thief's range as well as she could while Raiden was floating around, slowly making his way to place himself in the center of the entire fight. Taking into account Dieter, the Knight, the Monk, the Red Mage, Ysera, the Thief, Sylph, Syel, Drake, and Cass, the electric summon was attempting to see if he could find a center. | Abilities Used Vitals Shot: Ysera creates a special enhanced arrow that isn't solid and, thus, does no damage when hitting someone with it. Instead it causes a status effect upon those she hits with it for one post. When hitting someone in the legs, this effect will be immobilize, meaning the person cannot move for the duration. He can still fight from the spot he's on, but he's unable to leave that specific spot. When hitting someone in the arms, this effect will be disable, meaning the person cannot attack with his arms nor with any weapon or magic. In short, he's unable to make any offensive actions, but can still move around. When hitting someone in the torso, this effect will be silence, meaning the person cannot attack with any magic spells nor cast spells the remainder of the duration. When hitting someone in the head, this effect will be blind, meaning the person cannot hit anything with physical attacks, so any melee attacks with or without weapons will miss, but magic attacks still work normally. Two post cooldown. Sidewinder: Ysera fires a glowing arrow in a random direction. This arrow tracks its target down and is hard to dodge. Its even twice as strong against lesser creatures like minor Heartless. For creatures with human thought process, the damage is normal (so for all player characters it's much like a normal arrow that has somewhat follows them instead of going in a straight line). One post cooldown.
Summon Abilities Used Aero: Sylph can send out a wind that cuts the opponent (it’s visible). A very weak attack and Sylph’s only way of attacking its enemies. No cooldown. | Active Raiden: 6 HP Sylph: 3 HP Weakened on the Thief: One post. Mist Charge: Four posts.

T he monk was very displeased but he was no fool. He knew exactly what the man was the moment he took the stance he had. The Bangaa raised his head slightly, knowing he was going to have a very serious fight on his hands. He just prayed that his higher vitality would keep him alive longer to let the Dark Knight eat away at his own. So long as he wasn't freely lending the knight his own life. He'd have to be more careful and try to keep more of a distance from the blade. Certainly seeing as he was prepared to begin draining his own life to do damage. He felt the intense heat hit him. It was rather warm as he stood there and took it. It was some pretty heavy damage. But the Barrier took some of the damage and then he healed a bit as he started to walk forward slowly, preparing his next attack as he rolled out his shoulders. Drake was completely blind sided by the fire, cringing at the pain as he was forced to release Cass to draw his sword and turning around. Cassialyn took this chance to move to cast Slow Dance on Drake. That way he couldn't persue as quickly. The thief did not see anything coming. He was hit and disabled from vital Shot, unable to move as the creature continued to jab at him. The thief couldn't stay upright anymore. The aero hit him and it hit him hard. The thief was unconcious as he hit the ground. The red mage watched the thief go down and moved to send a barrage of magic at Ysera, following his getting hit by the Sidewinder. "HOLD FIRE"But he heard the Monk call out for everyone to stop. The red mage felt his nose twitch in frustration as he paused his attack, his staff stopping it's glow as he followed the Monk's command. The monk had raised an arm and called out when he saw his thief go down hard and the red mage get hit by the small array of arrows. "Dark Knight.... if we retreat and leave the girl. Would you also halt your attacks?" He asked as he stayed prepared for an attack. He could at least counter with the proximity he was in. He did not wish to let any of his comrades become more injured than they were. He watched the Dark Knight closely as he continued to hold his hand up to make sure that the Red Mage was aware that he still meant it, making him back up. Drake was not pleased as he started to speak up. The Red Mage telling the man to shut up. The Monk was speaking and was bartering for their lives at the moment. Cassialyn had moved to Syel's side, knowing that the woman was already approaching her and Drake. She was upset but ready to continue the fight depending on what was going to happen next.

That should buy her some much-needed time to escape. , Dieter thought to himself, the faintest traces of a smug grin played at the corner of his lips. Now that he’d confirmed that his magick had struck true, his eyes narrowed as they’d returned to the Bangaa Monk standing adjacent from him – cautiously inching his way closer. Somewhere in the distance, Dieter heard the audible twang of Ysera’s bow string, Those poor bastards , Dieter mused to himself – knowing full well that Ysera wouldn’t relent. Dieter retightened his grip around the hilt of his blade, preparing to retaliate against the Monk’s predicted flurry of blows, alas, they never came as the Monk shouted for everyone to halt.
Dieter’s eyes narrowed, skepticism visible upon his face as the Monk raised his hand above his head, a que for the clans’ able-bodied combatants to cease their ministrations. Dieter’s head craned a fraction of an inch in the direction of the Red Mage, he’d made note of the fact that the Knight hadn’t moved in quite some time, the thief was sprawled out on the ground, even their mage had lowered their staff. Dieter capitalized on this rare moment, his eyes lingering on Cassialyn and his clansmen – each of whom appeared to be in health. There is no reason to surrender, though whom knows how the tides might turn. Dieter rationalized to himself as he’d turned to address the Monk once more.
“I will permit it… collect your injured and get out of my sight…”
Dieter replied, his tone cold and indifferent as he’d maintained eye contact with the Monk.
“Leave and do so now…. With the exception of your employer…. He and I still have some business.”
Dieter tacked on cryptically, sheathing his blade as he’d made the finality of their negotiations evident. Without waiting for a response, he’d began to step past the Monk, his gaze boring into Drakes.

Having moved nearer, Syel watched the hit from Dieter on Drake before a shout came to 'hold fire'. With Cass moving closer, Syel readied her hammer and stood at the ready in case Drake came their way. Or someone else for that matter as she listened to what was going on. She understood that the Monk and his gang were quitting the job. However, the employer himself was a bit angered by this. It seemed Dieter was discussing things, which striked perhaps as odd as he wasn't exactly the leader, but did start this entire side-quest of theirs. Honestly, she wasn't entirely sure who was meant to speak for the whole. Then again, she doubted Ysera would disagree with Dieter.
Instead she focused on Drake and came a bit more loose, not standing completely in a battle pose any longer. Nodding, she started to walk towards Drake as well, "just to be sure, can you avoid killing the guy?" she asked a bit calm. She didn't expect Dieter to immediately fry the man, but who knew? Honestly, she thought on perhaps trying to strike the man's arms with her hammer and disarm him, but she kept her eyes also on the clan that was meant to gather their injured. This more in the hopes they don't change their mind and struck them in the back.
Looking at Ysera, then back to Dieter, "actually," turning to Cassialyn, "what do you propose we do with your kidnapper?" It seemed like the most logical person to decide the faith of the man that was bothering her. Perhaps hang him upside-down somewhere, she could also cover him in oil or something, though it'd be funnier to cover him in something birds or insects liked, just to mess with him if they were going to not send him to jail or somewhere. Unless they ended up killing him anyway, but that just seemed wrong to Syel. Protect: ends on Dieter

| Seeing the Thief go down felt good, Ysera focused on the Red Mage, whom started to actually cast some more offensive spells from the look of things. Prepared to take what was coming or dodging it, there suddenly came a call for a 'hold fire'. Keeping her bow still, but still her eyes focused on the Red Mage in case he still threw spells her way, the Gria listened to what the Monk was talking about. It sounded like they were moving into a cease-fire. Considering the group was just a hired bunch, she supposed the amount they were getting paid compared to the beating they were taking was getting out of balance.
Straightening herself and hearing Dieter's response, Ysera merely shrugged at the sight of Syel's looks and the enemy group. Fine with how this was working out, she felt she did need to add the group to some sort of list for people that were definitely not trustworthy. Beyond that, she didn't really care and started to walk to the side to allow the others to pass and get to the Thief that was laying on the ground. "Come," she said while turning slightly her head towards the two summons, but still being wary of the Red Mage. At the side, she stood still and straightened herself completely while watching the clan they had been fighting. The summons came to her side.
Watching Dieter move past the Monk, Ysera did stay wary and figured she'd keep guard while the others dealt with the last problem. After they had figured out what they were doing with Drake, then they could have a chat and see how well the woman they just saved was doing. She at least wanted her not possibly harmed anymore. And the chances of this clan just back-stabbing them seemed high enough to her that she wanted to firmly watch them leave. She fully trusted Dieter and Syel to know what they were doing. | Active Raiden: 6 HP Sylph: 3 HP Weakened on the Thief: Ended. Mist Charge: Three posts.

T he monk was ready for any sort of retaliation from the Dark Knight. He was unsure if that truce was going to happy as their clan had the lead at the moment. The monk could handle the Dark Knight if necessary. But, he did not plan to risk the lives of his clansmen if he could help it. His eyes watched the Dark Knight very closely as he seemed to evaluate the situation. The price on the girl was not high enough to warrant this sort of fight. It was supposed to be a quick payday. The monk watched and listened before Dieter agreed to the terms. Adding that the employer stay. The monk faintly amused at the request, a faint amused noise leaving his snout before replying. "....He's all yours..."The monk moved calmly over to check on his thief, making sure he still had a pulse before picking the man up over his shoulder. He gestured to the red mage to collect the knight and assist him. The knight needing the assistance to stand and walk. But, the red mage was not pleased with the outcome. However, he followed the monk's command without hesitation. He helped the knight to his feet and started them off. Drake was not pleased, starting to say something before the monk threw a small bag at him. "Sorry, not worth the risk. Good luck." The group took their leave, the monk keeping an eye to make sure that they didn't turn on them as they turned their backs. Cassialyn felt the relief wash over her at the agreement. She was furious and a bit worked up at the whole situation. It was a shame because she actually liked the clan she'd been working with. But, it seemed it wasn't mutual. She brushed off her pants a bit before the vierra spoke to her. "...Honestly...I don't care." She replied bluntly as she folded her arms. She was relieved that she was safe. At least, for the moment. She didn't care if they killed him or left him there. She just needed the head start again. This time she'd be more leery about clans. "Cassialyn, you need to return home with me. You have both of your parents worried sick. They're the one's that posted the reward for your safe return." He frowned. He had shifted to his feet with his hand on the hilt of his sword. His nose was broken from Cass's actions earlier. He only knew the basic knight skills. If the clan couldn't handle them. He certainly couldn't. He was not pleased as he watched Cass before releasing his grip on his sword. Cass shook her head at him. Drake had to try and play this safe. He certainly didn't want to get himself killed. But with the vierra's comment and Dieter's expression, he was worried.

| Dieter’s smoky verdant eyes widened in surprise at Syel’s timely interjection, the Viera voiced her concerns with the Dark Knight’s unsavory methods. In kind, Dieter responded to the Green Mage’s desire with a simple nod of his head. His head craned back over his shoulder as the Bangaa Monk spoke, reaffirming that he’d intended to honor their agreement – releasing Drake to Dieter’s sole custody. In spite of this, the Dark Knight’s hand remained close to the hilt of his blade, his distrust evident to all whom were present. It wasn’t until he was outside of the Monk’s perceived reach that Dieter dared to let his hand drop to his side. His head craned in the Monk’s direction as he’d begun to walk in the opposite direction to check on his comrade, the unconscious thief. Without pause, the monk tossed his unconscious ally onto his shoulder with practiced ease.
Dieter’s gaze lingered briefly upon the Gria Leader, silently awaiting to see if she had any objection to his decision. When she issued the command, her duo of summons drifted in her direction without pause. Finally, Dieter’s piercing gaze settled upon the disgruntled Red Mage, one of two whom seemed displeased with the sudden turn of events. Naïve fool, count the Scion’s Blessings, your pride is injured, but you are permitted to walk away with your life. Such were the thoughts of the battle-hardened Knight, his lips sinking downward as they’d set into a firm, disapproving scowl. Only once the Red Mage obeyed the command that he’d been given did Dieter dare to advert his gaze back towards Syel and Cassialyn. The Monk’s exchange with Drake noted but for the most part ignored.
Dieter’s flaxen brow arched upwards, surprised by Syel’s second interjection. This time reclusive Mage made it a point to inquire about Cassialyn’s thoughts, curious to what she’d believed was a befitting fate for her captor. Fortunately for Drake, Cassilyn’s indifference worked in his favor. If she’d have suggested that he be put to death, Dieter would have had no qualms with indulging such a request. Certainly, in his own opinion, Drake would have gotten off easier if they’d taken that approach – his suffering would be quick, it would end abruptly. No, The Dark Knight had more nefarious things in mind. Once Dieter stood in front of Drake, he’d daftly snatched up the coin purse that the Monk had thrown in Drake’s direction.
“I imagine, you have no qualms with the young lady taking this for her troubles?”
Dieter asked, his tone suggested that Drake would be foolish to object. In that same breathe, Dieter’s hand darted out to close around Drake’s throat. His vice-like grip applying enough pressure to restrain the main, restrict his ability to breathe but by no means denying him oxygen entirely. He’d slowly leant inwards until his lips were just a fraction of a centimeter away from Drake’s ears. In that instance, Drake would be the sole person able to see that one of Dieter’s eyes had abruptly changed. His scalera turnt pitch black, his eye turned an iridescent golden yellow.
“Understand this, pursue her again and I will show you that there are fates far worse than death… You will wish that your “beloved” permitted me to rend your head from shoulders in this instance….”
Dieter spoke softly, his tone a hushed whisper, a fact made all the more eerie by the crazed smile that marred his features. After he’d said his part, Dieter’s grip on the man’s throat slackened and he’d took a singular step back. The demonic visage that had manifested just a second prior already back to normal as he’d turned his head towards Cassialyn and his clansmen.

Syel smiled, happy Dieter took her words and not ignored her. He had seemed quite displeased with this entire situation ever since they rushed off to this battleground. At least the main bulk of the enemies had surrendered, so that was a bonus. Not like they were going to make much money from any of this, but it was interesting at the very least. They saved someone and got some new experiences... At least Syel enjoyed that part, also that she learned some more things about her comrades. Now if only she had the time to make some notes.
Having inquired on Cass' thoughts on what to do, it seemed she didn't care. So Syel shrugged at Dieter, listening to what he had to say. They might still consider doing something? Well, it seemed the guy was off in the best manner possible as things stood now. She wasn't sure if there even was a way to give the man a good warning that he'd never try to go after Cassialyn again. Still, this was some improvement. She really wanted to make notes... Looking over at Ysera and then to the leaving bunch, she honestly had no idea what else she could add.
As they seemed to be finished with the man, Syel motioned over to Ysera. "Does anyone need healing?" she asked curiously, considering she had only used a Cure on Dieter earlier. Though, she did understand that some had some of their own abilities for healing. ulla

| Ysera watched the enemy clan slowly disappear, following their movements until they were out of sight as she simply listened on the conversation. Hearing Dieter, Syel, Cassialyn, and this guy reach a conclusion on their conversation and how the girl didn't really care to do anything with the guy in general, the Gria shrugged. Turning her head to the small group as it seemed Dieter still had the man in his grip. Syel was asking on healing, but Ysera shook her head as she didn't really need any. Looking at her two summons, she nodded her head slightly with a smile as the two started to fade away. Having dismissed the two, she looked again at Dieter, “then... we're about done here,” she suggested as she prefered not to linger too long. Looking over at Cassialyn, “would you like to come with us? We are heading back to the city. We can per chance discuss on if there's a way to tackle this problem,” she pointed at the man, “to see if we can prevent it from happening again. I would offer you a place in our clan after seeing how well you dealt with this scenario, but... I would assume you're done with clans?” she said a bit difficult. She was not used to talking in general and hoped she wasn't bothering the girl at all. Looking over at Dieter and then at Syel, she hoped one of the two could pick up the talk as this was not her best asset. Looking at Cassialyn again, she wanted to say some more things on that they didn't really want to look or bring up anything of the past. Honestly, Ysera had little clues of most pasts in the clan and allowed the members to keep that to themselves. This was all... difficult. As they would continue this discussion, Ysera motioned to have them start moving at least. They could continue to talk on the way. [Ysera exits the thread.] | Active Mist Charge: Two posts.

L Cassialyn was exhausted with how her day had turned as sour as it had. She was a bit stressed out, but she felt better knowing that she was safe for the moment. This rather odd bunch of people had come to her rescue and she owed them a lot for their help. She would have been on her way back to her home and would have been forced to marry that jerk that had come to kidnap her. This was much better, but she didn't know if she planned to stay with a clan for very long after the last one turned on her like they had. She felt a bit unsure if she wanted to jump in feet first again after that. Then again, these people had quite literally saved her out of the kindness of their hearts. She had almost nothing to offer as a thank you. The young dancer looked over to see Dieter confronting her betrothed and she honestly didn't care. It wasn't until she saw the look of pure terror in his eyes that she paused to double take. Drake had almost gone pale like he'd seen a ghost. This wasn't really her problem though. She decided to ignore it. Cass shook her head at Syel's offer for healing. She was a little scuffed up, but nothing that she couldn't handle on her own. They really had done enough for her. It was more than she could ask. "Thanks though..." She commented to the Viera before the Gria spoke to her. Cass blinked a few times at the offer. Honestly, it was a good place to start. With Drake being so close to town, she was a little worried about leaving their side at the time being. Maybe a day or two with them wouldn't be a bad thing. She could always leave after that. "I wouldn't mind coming back to town with you... but I'll have to think on the invitation. Not to say I'm not grateful for the offer! I'm, like you said, a little iffy about jumping in with another clan so quickly. Even though you guys did just save my butt.... thank you." She smiled as she nodded at the woman. She was more worried about having to explain about her family and why this guy was stalking her. She moved off after the group as they started to depart, slowing down a bit so she could catch Dieter to thank him too. They'd all been so kind to her. Drake had frozen in fear at Dieter's threat. He's almost started to object to him taking the gil. But, after seeing what this... THING ... was. He knew better than to over step. If he backed off now, he might live to recoop his strength and strike back. Cass probably wouldn't last a week with another clan. That wasn't her style and once she found out about Dieter, that would be over and done with. Drake just sat on the ground after the threat and nodded. He knew he was outmatched. He wasn't completely stupid. [Exit Thread]

The Dark Knight lapsed into stoic silence as he’d turned away from the detestable man. Ysera’s covert pleas for help were acknowledged, albeit, Dieter’s contribution wouldn’t come until much later. Cassialyn had only bore witness to one of Dieter’s innumerable facets, her entire perception based off his displayed prowess on the battlefield. Admittingly, the Right Hand of Helios’ Ambition was infinitely more complexed, especially, when he’d permitted others to see beyond his frigid façade. He tried to suppress the playful smirk that played at his lips as he’d reminisced about the Low Town Orphan’s non-sensical antics.
His right hand drifted upwards to brush aside a few misplaced strands of his platinum blonde tresses, tentatively tucking them behind the corresponding ear. He took a handful of seconds to smooth the wrinkles from his unorthodox attire. It was only after he’d righted himself that he’d bothered to spare one fleeting glance over his shoulder. His lips spreading upwards into a demented smile as his eyes locked with Drake once more.
“Don’t forget my warning.”
Dieter said candidly, his lackadaisical threat cared to Drake’s ears by a gentle breeze sweeping across the open plain. With nothing more to be said, Dieter followed along behind Ysera, his eyes periodically scanning the horizons for any possible threads. -Exit Thread

It seemed they had gotten to an understanding, Syel nodded as Dieter and Cassialyn started to move away. Still a warning was made by the Dark Knight, but the viera hopped back towards Ysera as the group started to move. It seemed nobody needed any healing. Ysera suggested to Cassialyn to come with them and it seemed she would come with them.
Happy with how things were, Syel simply moved along without much of a word. She didn't really know how to really give any extra input right now and it was already nice to see the clan leader give her voice to things as well.
Syel exits and ends the thread. ulla
