Personality:

Syel is a calm individual that enjoys learning. Especially finding habits and systematic things are some enjoyments she likes to see and learn. Why people act as they do or how other countries and nations deal with things. This makes her very capable of dealing with routines and she never really tires of doing the same thing. Especially when things go as she plans things to go, she enjoys herself the most. She wants to predict things and be able to see ahead, which she fully makes use of and likes to annoy others with things they tend to do.

As she studies people and places, Syel is quick to understand others and has little trouble adapting herself. When dealing with others or unknown places, she prefers to watch them and figure out how she is meant to act or speak. Thus figuring out how to blend into places more easily. Usually she remains fairly calm, but she can speak her mind out easily when she feels the need to. All-together, she wants to understand the minds of others.

History:

Syel was born in Targ Wood on Jylland. Living peacefully alongside the other Viera, some traveled out of the community while others remained with their families. There Syel learned the basics of magik and helped with healing. As the years went by, she chose to move out of the village and joined a Clan in Jylland. There she worked as a White Mage while completing missions alongside the other clanmembers. It was a simple life as they hunted monsters, helped villagers all around Jylland, and dealt with troubles. During this time she worked her magick further out and also learned the arts of Green Magick.

Sometimes people came from other Regions of Ivalice and Syel was curious on how things were there. At some point, she took a vacation from Jylland and the clan to visit other places as she started to travel with merchants and others to find other places. During those travels she learned of other nations and lands. It was an interesting time and she fully enjoyed it while wanting to perhaps start helping out in the entire world. But it was too vast and too big for her to work with as well as there were no clans that dealt with the entirety of Ivalice.

As she returned home, Syel continued her daily routine of work and rest before stranger beings started appearing. Black-skinned critters with yellow eyes that attacked people and had to be dealt with. There was much trouble when working on these missions and soon she learned of other worlds beyond Ivalice that had similar troubles. Looking into these other worlds, she stumbled upon a clan, Helios' Ambition, that actively functioned even outside Ivalice. It was a new clan set up by a former resident of Jylland by the name of Ysera. She left her own clan and went to join the ranks of Helios' Ambition.

Roleplaying Sample:

Next to a body on the ground, a Viera crouched down as she looked over the body. Placing her hammer down, Syel surveyed the area around her before turning back to the body. Her hands started pulling at the man's clothes as she studied the wounds made to the body. The man was not responding at all, but seemed to be not dead just yet. "Well, then. Cure," she said calm as the body was given health.

The man remained down as the Viera didn't want to just wake him up right now. As Syel looked behind her, they seemed alone in the woods and it bothered her. She was expecting some others to have followed her, but honestly she shouldn't be too surprised. Though, she wasn't really wanting to hunt alone right now and she didn't know where the man fit into her current quest. With a sigh, she started pulling out a rope and tying it around the man. "Maybe I should go find the others..." she said calm to herself, pondering if she should just drag the body after her.

Studying the man's clothes again, he seemed more like a bandit than much else, but he could very well be from another clan by chance. Where the clawmarks came from had her more curious, there were no monsters nearby. Maybe the black critters had been here, but the man was able to fight them off despite the many wounds he sustained. With a shrug, Syel got up and started to walk away before looking at the body again. What if they came back? it seemed likely that he was going to die if he suddenly got attacked from the mists, especially now tied up. "Dragging it is!" she said then as she held her hands ready to grab more rope and drag the body with her.

Esuna: When cast upon someone, that person will have yellow sparkles dance around them as any negative status effects are removed from said person. 3 post cooldown.
Refresh: When cast upon someone, that person will have yellow sparkles dance around them as any negative status effects that are normally unremovable are removed from said person. These include the likes of Doom, Addle, Stop, Frenzy, all that is not removed using Esuna. 3 post cooldown.

Raise: With a purple beacon of light from above, the target of this spell will get back to his or her feet if they had been knocked out or unconscious. 3 post cooldown.
Arise: With a light blue beacon of light from above, the target of this spell will get back to his or het feet if they had been knocked out or unconscious. Also their health is completely replenished, removing all damage they have taken. 8 post cooldown.

Green Magick
Protect: A yellow box appears transparently around the target for a moment as their defense against physical attacks increases. 3 post duration, 3 post cooldown.
Shell: A blue box appears transparently around the target for a moment as their defense against magical attacks increases. 3 post duration, 3 post cooldown.
Blind: A black mist starts to cover an area, blinding the target within and making it more difficult for them to use physical attacks, increasing the chances they miss their attacks. 2 post duration, 3 post cooldown.
Silence: A spiral of runes starts to cover an area, stealing the voice of the target within and making it impossible for them to use magical attacks. 1 post duration, 3 post cooldown.
Oil: Syel conjures oil that falls upon the target. This will give them the status effect of 'oil' that makes the target vulnerable to attacks of the fire nature. 3 post duration, 3 post cooldown.

Support
Spellbound: Any magical ability that has a duration, will last a post longer on Syel. This is a passive ability and will extend whether it is supportive or harmful to Syel.

Reaction
Evade Magick: Syel acts automatically to magickal attacks made upon her. All spells used upon her is lowered by one tier in damage, but all physical attacks made to her is one tier higher than normal. This is a passive ability.

Absorb MP: Whenever Syel casts a spell, she can lower the cooldown of another spell by half the amount as the cooldown of the spell she just casts, but rounded down. Examples: A spell with 4 post cooldown would reduce another cooldown by 2 and a spell with 3 post cooldown would reduce another cooldown by 1. She can do this four times before this goes onto cooldown. 4 post cooldown.

-scratches head- Well, definitely one of the most simple characters thus far. Wasn't entirely sure if you needed to specifically give a family, like parents, siblings, so on... but I guess this is alright? o.o; Thanks for the changes on the magic I mentioned.
