★ CHILDREN OF THE SKY OUT IN THE DESERTS OF DARKNESS AND DREAMS OUT THROUGH THE OCEANS OF SADNESS WE SAILED VENTURING ONWARDS THROUGH MYSTICAL SCENES BLOWN ON THE WHIM OF THE WIND THAT PREVAILED WE HAD NO REASON TO DOUBT THE TRUTH DRIVEN BY DANGER AND DISCONTENT AND THE DRUMS OF YOUTH
Thinking to herself, Ysera pondered if there was a better way to contact people. The first time she met this tailed man, Zidane, it had also been here in Agrabah. It was a bit amusing to think back on how she walked up on him in the desert and told him to not be surprised. Instead the man had jumped up from the sight of her wings and horns anyway. Her mission at the time was to find Marcus out in the desert, who had appeared to have gotten lost or something. The man was mainly out hunting treasure, this time she had contacted Zidane as this 'Marcus' figure had again vanished.
With a sigh, the Gria stood at the edge of town, just next to the main gate. In her mind she wondered if this Marcus was really that smart of a treasure hunter, but considering there was treasure out there... presumably... then Zidane might be interested too? Honestly, I don't know how I deal with these situations, thinking back on Zidane, she couldn't really pinpoint him entirely yet. The time she had entered the castle Pandaemonium in another world, she had encountered him fleeing when others were firing shots around the corner. Some people just liked to attack first and ask questions later, then again it was probably his own fault for trying to stay hidden?
Still, that was then and there. The now and here was important right now, Ysera had preferred to drag Syel or Dieter with her into this mess, but the last time she had found a companion to be useful in the desert with the many bandits she had encountered that time. Let alone the Heartless that were popping up. Hopefully the ruins they were headed this time would be more... peaceful. I doubt it, she thought annoyed to herself.
If anything dangerous came, she supposed her summons would need to even it a little. Plus it wasn't like either her or Zidane were weak. Speaking of the guy, Ysera turned to look next to her in hopes the guy already came, "wonder where he is at," she said calm, hoping there weren't going to be any bets involved this time. While she liked the extra income and annoying a couple of bandits in the process, she wasn't really interested this time. With a good long stretch the thief drew his arms high above his head, his tail curled beneath the train of his cape. His current set of clothing was much better suited to this arid region. With a lighter, purple vest that was free of his usual undershirt and a pair of airy sirwhal and covered sandals the man certainly looked the part of a local. His cape, however dark, did more to protect his identity as an off-worlder. It didn't seem a genuinely smart plan to tip off others of his more unique traits. The only beings around this place that had tails were in fact monkeys. The irony did not easily pass him by. His gloved fingers knitted together behind his head as he nested the back of his skull against his palms.
It was pretty weird getting a message like that. He didn't think Moogle Couriers were that efficient, what with Mognet Central having the management qualities of Rusty when holding platoon training for the Knights of Pluto. He felt it was always a big joke, what with Alexandria's matriarchy being what kept its gears running. If not for Steiner's obnoxious loyalty and outstanding ability to overcome trials he faced in order to protect his friends -- he would have continued to believe his role as Captain of the Pluto Knights a joke. In truth it only seemed that way because his men were incompetent compared to that man.
He scoffed at the thought. "Heat must be getting to me. I'm actually complimenting Rusty." He scratched at his cheek as he arrived at the location in question, but he did not see his contact anywhere.
Such was likely due to the fact Zidane, in the stead of following foot traffic, or actual roads: he walked along the natural ledges provided the clay-brick buildings that lined the narrow, Agrabah streets. He pulled his hood further over his eyes as the sun was reaching its zenith. Dropping to a crouch on the precarious perch he found himself on: the outreaching post which served as support panels for the structure in question did to serve the rouge's need for a balcony when there was none. He heard a soft voice just beneath him and looked down. A cocky smirk played on his features.
Allowing his tail to drape down from the cloak he would attempt to tap her shoulder before pulling it up and giving himself the chance to swing down over Ysera. He would hook his sandal over the post and hand down with a skill suiting the ill-mannered rogue. "Boo!" He would try and surprise her. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

As she waited, Ysera pondered on the places Marcus could be. Since they were hunting down a treasure hunter, it was likely they had to find some more ruins in the desert. Perhaps pass by the old ruins again and scan the place more thoroughly. It depended if that place still had treasures. Perhaps the guy dug himself further underground. She was certain that she needed to make some better use of her summons if they had to search large area’s.
Ysera was surprised as Zidane came with a sudden ‘boo’ swinging down. Blinking a few times, she pushed the monkey rogue away as she stepped away from the wall. Composing herself a little, she spoke: "hmm... good to see you again," she said as she turned to see if he got back on the ground. "I’m sorry for calling you out here," she continued in a calm voice, "my message should’ve instructed you on what we’re here for." Honestly, she hoped the guy did look into that. In any case, she stayed quiet now to see how he would react.
Considering the rogue, perhaps Zidane already had some ideas. Or even clues. On what they were about to be doing soon. Honestly, she hoped he didn’t go find the thugs from last time and make a new bet. With the clan in its current situation, she didn’t really have the time to fool around too long. Especially with the troubles arising from Dieter and Cassialyn last time. |

Zidane would never get used to the heat of Agrabah. If nothing else he had grown complacent here, accepting that it was its own natural hellhole decorated with vibrant market stalls that would distract the daily rabble from the fact that it was hotter than a pile of Moogles on the Forgotten Continent sunbathing. The narrow, winding streets of cobblestone and clay-brick homes, in a ways, did remind him of the Seaways Canton, even a number of queer landmarks he couldn't help but to remember, like that pit of burning coals people walk on or the guillotine. Quaint really.
As he snuck up on the Gria, which in hindsight it was probably a damn foolish idea to get the drop on a hunter, but hindsight was 20/20 and Zidane currently had a pair of hands shoved in his face as he was pushed back by the startled Centurio member. Worth it! The thief remained dangling upside down with just the hold of his tail curled around the rafter. His legs crossed in casually and his hands came to rest on his knees. He grinned widely as a hand came to pat the side of his head sheepishly.
“Couldn't resist, sorry.” After his apology the rogue released grip and dropped down onto his feet. Rolling his shoulders his bright blue gaze turned to the sole hunter. The closing remained on his person, keeping any prying eyes from taking note of his extra appendage. “Yeah, I did. Where did he go missing? I figured treasure hunters like to ride in packs?” While Zidane was a rogue by the nature of his upbringing he was no certified spelunker like the members of Clan Centurio. His usual dungeon explorations didn't typically end with him flowing with treasures. Usually scrapes and bruises. His more percussive methods of problem solving did not fall in line with some of the more complicated traps and puzzles found in deep labyrinths designed to deter delves. But this was a search and rescue party! The Gria was lucky the Moogle post was half asleep reliable as it was. It was a headache and a half to help restore order among the maniacal machinations of a morbidly model of mogs. He was ready to go, anything to forsake this city if he had to wear the cloak any longer he would die of heat stroke!“Let's go! My Chocobo is out at the city's limits.” He motioned to her. Had she naught else to say the rogue took to the rooftops once more and would be off! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

No matter how she looked at it, Ysera really saw a monkey in this man. Still hanging there by his tail, there was no better word to describe him. His mannerisms, his interests, how he acted and moved. The gria couldn't tell whether he was smarter than one, she wasn't that well-versed in monkey's. At least she didn't want to insult any monkey's by chance.
Nodding to his apology, she listened to him as he responded. Bringing up the topic of how treasure hunters went in packs, she could understand where that came from when she looked at the Clans of Ivalice. However as she had gone from world to world, it didn't seem to be the case everywhere. And she was less familiar with this land than she'd like. I need a contact person here, Ysera thought to herself, figuring she could learn a bit on treasure hunting here. There was no shortage on ruins and the like in the desert, lots of treasure hunting to be done, but there were less treasure hunters to her surprise.
Perhaps this world just wasn't focused on treasures all that much. Or there was too much trouble outside the city walls. Still, it gave a nice income when she did do some jobs for treasure here, unlike the current job. This was a search and rescue mission, but she was certain that Zidane and her wouldn't avoid any treasures along the way. As long as they managed to make sure their target was safe enough.
When motioned, Ysera nodded once more, noting her own silence a bit more. They did say she needed to speak a bit more now she was a clan leader. "Since the man had no partners, it is a bit difficult to pinpoint him exactly, so we're best to go for his last treasure hunt," she said as her wings spread and she flew after him since he had taken to the rooftops and the ground seemed like a terrible place to follow him on. Maybe we can make something out of the treasures as well, she thought to herself, figuring they could very well have some coin added to the mission if it was on the way anyway. Rightly the rouge was a bit doubtful of the circumstances that surrounded the hunter's tardiness. The fellow Ysera was anticipating couldn't have just vanished in thin air, especially if treasure were involved. He either got into trouble or someone betrayed him: in either case it was a good idea to team up. He wasn't much bothered by the heat, Agrabah just another bump in the path as far as the thief was concerned. Ziddy was the sort to not overthink things. Step after step he crossed the rooftops with wide leaps and single bounds. Though he had no wings of his own the rogue did will to give the illusion of flight with his movements. They would eventually arrive at the city walls. From up here one could see for miles into the desert, but that didn't mean much when there was nothing but sand for miles out. Zidane rest his hands on his hips before looking in Ysera's direction. A gloved hand came up to rest over his brows to shield from the blistering sun above. "So what direction? I can keep up on Chocobo." His trusty mount was never too far so the brigand was always ready to ride. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

It bothered her a little on how this man had straight-up vanished. There was obviously an answer to it all, it would be nice if he just had not gone alone, but she had heard there were more people going solo here unlike Ivalice or anything. Though, she had also been to Hydaelyn and heard of some that liked to 'solo' things. Supposedly it does bring more reward, since you didn't need to share, but it also increased the danger... and lack of information to go by since nobody really knows where you go if you go off the beaten path. Which is usually the thing people do once they see something of interest.
If they did encounter something of interest, it was worth checking out. Hopefully with just the two of them, they could find some answers. But still... they were with only two, so they shouldn't take too many chances. Unless they wanted to end up like their quarry... if he had found himself in danger at least. One rescue party was enough for this and they might never find the man if he had become buried or something in some ruins. The thing with old thombs and ruins was that at times they just happened to be trapped or otherwise.
Landing by the gates, Ysera watched Zidane bring up his chocobo. She had requested for one of her own, since... well... she was not that fast when it came to flying. Her hand went and pointed to the left, "I'd best get my own mount," she said calmly and started to move in that direction. "We will head out west and head towards to the goal this man had set out, but since there is no telling if he ever arrived at said location, we best keep our eyes peeled. Might be things of interest between here and there," she continued while moving towards her own chocobo.
After mounting up, Ysera nodded and started to move while continuing, "even any passerby might have some information if we do find someone on the road, this would include bandits and the like." She sighed, "our only task is to find this treasure hunter, but anything we find along the way is, I suppose, welcome. We just need to avoid too big of trouble," she looked over at Zidane, "so best to avoid danger if possible, especially if the chances of our target not being a part of said danger. I apologize for any inconvenience along the way," she smiled softly thinking they might make it worth their while if they did find some treasure along with their target.
