Age:
18
Gender:
Male
Job:
Thief/Actor

Light
Family:
•Tantalus; Family (Baku, Blank, Cinna, Marcus, Ruby, the Nero Brothers & Sister)
•Vivi Ornitier; Bonded Brother
•Kuja; Brother
•Mikoto; Sister
•Garnet til Alexandros XVII; Beloved
Personality:
Zidane is an upbeat fellow who never needed a reason to help others in need, and often found himself neck deep in trouble because of it. He is a bit flirtatious, but an openhearted fellow with a strong tendency to speak his mind, and it was often things others did not wish to hear. In situations which he was unsure of he always found himself holding back his opinions with an open mind until he had the entire story and view of a situation. He was a bit crass in his behaviors, being that he was raised on the streets, but he always meant well in his actions. He was sensitive in some respects, but only when it came to the well-being of those around him. He was private and did not talk about his personal life, unless it meant showing off to the ladies, but they were usually tales of exaggeration and straight out lies.
He had few manners when it came to fine dining. No amount of acting skills would provide for the table manners that a bunch of thieves lack. He often ate with his fingers, gloves or not, and caused fights when he was inebriated, becoming more emotional and confrontational. Normally he wore a mask over his true feelings and always preferred smiling to frowning. His tail had a habit of speaking his mind, be it nervously twitching on the ground when he was thinking hard or standing on end when he was acting aggressively or startled.
He was adventurous and had little outward fear. Though he was one you can consider reckless, it was only under the standpoint where he would never think twice about helping another in need. He only did what he had confidence in himself for. He was energetic. Being youthful gave him access to boundless stores of energy. He liked to tease others and was a bit of a prankster, but he never meant his actions in a sorrowful or malicious manner. Because he held many roles in the troupe's plays he could talk his way in and out of most situations, but he was also very expressive with his body. When he was feeling confident he puffed out his chest and when he was startled it was not against his nature to animatedly respond.
History:
Though he is aware of his true origins, to him his life started when he was found by Baku at a young age and raised as a member of Tantalus. He lived by their side as part of their Theater Troupe. Twelve years later the troupe would find themselves in Alexandria on a secret mission which involved kidnapping the royal princess of the country. Their escape did not turn out as planned and left them traveling on foot to the capital of Lindblum from the bast of the Evil Forest. On their journey they discovered many strange things and horrible truths that were hidden under the shadow of Queen Brahne of Alexandria.
Discovering the truth of the turmoil between the two countries Zidane seemed lackluster about helping, but he did know he wanted to do one thing: protect her. He had grown close to her over time and none of his "smooth moves" worked with the fiery lass. For all his talk he had no honest means to normally talk to girls. The best he could do was protect her, because she needed protecting. They traveled far and wide across the the continent trying to stop the events that unfolded because of one man's sly words…. The words were twisted of deceit, but something about the Warmonger's poetic banter twisted worry in Zidane. He never resisted following the princess, whom he had grown a strange attachment to over their time together.
Eventually they discovered the origin of not only Zidane's birth, but his dear friend's as well. It was a harsh revelation for both parties and sent the cheerful thief into a deep depression. His friends forced him to realize the truth and pushed him from the dark place he choose to place himself. They fought on to end Garland's schemes to turn their beautiful Gaia into a shadow of its former self. Afterward Zidane stuck close to the person he had come to love. Though he still traveled and worked with Tantalus, he often returned to where it all began.

Quotes:
"In the end, it boils down to two simple choices. Either you do or you don't. You'd think with all the problems in this world, there'd be more answers. It's bit fair, but that's the way things are. The choice is yours."
"Heroic? Human? Those are just things people say after the fact... It's not what the people say afterward...What's important is being true to oneself."

"Whoa, whoa, wait a minute!" The thief cried out as he held up his hands, walking to the end of the stage. "What the hell do you mean, hack job Blank? I have these lines memorized inside and out!" The rouge stood upon the lip of his gang's Theater Ship, practicing within the airship docks.
They had't much time until they headed off to do a play for Queen Stella in Treno, but the Prima Vista was having its annual tuneup and were already running late with a series of unfortunate events. Blank peered up and despite the belt covering the stitched up man's face it was easy to see the flat expression. Zidane dropped his arms to his side and returned the glare. Blank parted his mouth, tapping the pencil against the clipboard he carried.
"Right, sorry. My bad. I meant absolute shit. You pansy, what the hell did you think? Marcus had this role for a reason. Only way you got it s'cause the Nero Brothers got him sick. Now shut your monkey ass up and do it again." The elder rouge announced, his voice echoing across the gate, causing a few of the engineers to snigger.
Zidane threw a rude gesture at his brother-in-arms and returned to his mark, holding out his arms. he took a deep breathe and raised his head. Silence fill the platform as the engineers and Blank listened close. "Oh...shit I forgot my line. What was it?" The group in question staggered and Blank hurled the clipboard at the thief's head.
Zidane leaned back, dodging the deadly. thrown weapon only to burst out in laughter. As he laugh, though, Blank rushed the stage and tackled the miscreant, knocking him to the ground. The two tussled, cursed, and argued until Baku came home. He beat them both soundly and sent them to the hideout without supper.
