And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
His cerulean eyes groggily flitted open as a ray of light pierced through his half-drawn curtains, dancing playfully across his face. Dieter’s head lulled lazily to the left, his attention drawn to what he assumed was the sound of Helios’ Ambition clansmen nervously pacing back and forth outside of his door. Before he could prop himself up onto his elbows, clear his throat and welcome them in, they’d already slid a piece of parchment under his door and proceeded to briskly carry about their day. A muted yawn escaped from between his lips as he’d propped himself up onto his elbows and arched his back in a distinctively feline fashion. His hoary tresses cascaded freely down his back in response to the sudden movement. He’d held that position for roughly thirty seconds before he’d relax and swung his feet over the left side of his bed. He ignored the series of pops and cracks that resonated from his stiff joints as he’d crossed the room and knelt down to inspect the parchment. It was a Hunter’s Mark , a request to exterminate a rampaging Rogue Tomato . It had taken up refugee in the Dalmasca Estersand where it’d taken up harassing some of the local merchants on their way to the Outpost. He’d heard of its’ problematic ability to breathe fire; it didn’t bother him in the least due to his natural affinity for flames. He’d noticed something in the bottom right corner of the parchment, it was two hastily scrawled names. One of them was his own and the second was the name of his fellow clansmen, Ysera. He felt his lips curve upwards into a content smile. She was one of the few people within their Clan that he truly felt comfortable around, she was the one who had discovered him not long after his awakening from his crystalline statis. She’d helped him get back on his feet after a mishap in his awakening caused a brief bout of amnesia. Of course, even after he’d fully regained his memories, he was selective about what he’d disclosed to her. He’d never directly mentioned that he was searching for Belias the Gigas; the lord he’d once served in what felt like a distant era; he still wasn’t certain how long he’d slept. Alas, those were thoughts for another time, he’d mused to himself as he’d moved to a small vanity in the corner. He hastily brushed out the knots in his hair and wove it into a very lose fishtail braid. He’d tied it at the very base with a small length of burgundy ribbon. He’d changed into a simple billowing robe that had a deep sapphire sash coiled around the middle securing it to his figure. He’d smoothed it out before he’d sat on the window ceil and slid his feet into a pair of leather sandals, anchoring it down with a buckle just below his knee joint. The last three things that he’d grabbed was a pendant that had a small sapphire and ruby socketed it in and his beloved weapon and its’ harness. He hafted the blade over his shoulder with his right hand and he did so with unnatural ease; a feat that shouldn’t have been possible with just one hand. He’d leered at his reflection for a moment, recalling just where he’d come from and what he’d done in the past. He wasn’t just some adventurer, he was a vassal for a Scion. He’d dismissed that thought as he’d left his room and made his way downstairs to the pub. He’d weaved in and out of people as he made his way to the bar, waving down one of the few bartenders. They’d brought his standard drink, a glass of cacti juice mixed with a spoonful of honey. He’d sipped on it for a minute before he’d inquired about the location of his partner. ” Have you seen Lady Ysera or Lady Syel? We have a Mark to hunt down.” word 600+ ● Ysera ● parternship ftw

Ivalice had some issues with black fiends appearing and she didn't like it. Also requests and marks had been appearing to look into them or even the dark gateways that have shown to appear. From word, they went into other 'worlds'. It seemed interesting and all, she had looked quite a bit into them. Meanwhile there were also the usual troubles of Ivalice. Having a clan set up again, Ysera was going to look into both the troubles of Ivalice as those from outside Ivalice, if that was a thing. Another member, Syel, was especially interested in looking into these other worlds. So it was definitely not a topic she could place down.
However, for now her attention was set up on trouble in Ivalice itself. A normal mark instead of the black fiends. Ysera and also a fellow clan member, Dieter, were going to go after this mark. Knowing the other clan member, he was somewhat enigmatic. It was something Ysera could approve well enough, but she did was a little curious on the man's background. However, she was not one to poke into other people's pasts without their approval. Especially considering her own... was filled with holes and problems. She didn't want to think about that.
As she arrived by the pub, Ysera walked in a calm manner through the doorway. Looking around, she scanned for Dieter in case he was interested in getting underway or rather would like to discuss first. Noting him at the bar, she walked calm towards him before taking place next to him at the bar. "Good day," she said in a simple greeting, not one for words to begin with. The man always appeared rather unusual in appearance for someone in a clan, but considering this clan wasn't really meant for a specific region or anything. Perhaps, with these worlds, they might even find new members there. There could be lots of oddities at that point.
"Ready to hunt?" she calmly inquired of the man, he did seem prepared to her. But she didn't want to assume and let things to the man if they were to go. Though, he was certain he'd rather finish his drink first, "The marks on the black fiends have steadily increased too... I would suspect they might trouble the usual monsters as well," she stated, wondering what Dieter's thoughts were on those. Especially with quickly things were escalating when it came to attacks from those creatures, she wondered for a moment if they were already named by someone.

Checking her papers, Syel moved some of her logs and stored some of the paperwork into a chest in her room. Getting up from her chair, she headed out of her room to head down into the pub. Looking around, there didn't seem to be anyone in the hallway. She hadn't really checked what was in store for her today, perhaps she needed to check the board before heading out. Every day she just let tings surprise her.
Getting downstairs, she noted two members already there in the pub. One was Ysera, the other Dieter. Walking over, she let out a wave, "a good morning, how is everyone?" she asked with a smile while approaching the two. Looking from one at the other, she noted one was having a drink while the other hadn't had anything. "Anything happening today?" she asked curiously, still uncertain whether something had been planned for the day.
As she had looked over the two, Syel thought a bit on how to even approach the two to begin with. Ysera was quiet, calm, and didn't seem to care about the past much, Dieter didn't seem very open either and she never wanted to be one to pry. However, Dieter did look out of place most of the time. Not the usual gear or appearance, Syel honestly didn't want to think about it too much.

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain
By the time Ysera and Syel had approached Dieter, he’d already finished most of his drink; only a small pool of residual honey remained in the bottom of the glass. He’d pivoted in his bar stool at the sound of Ysera’s voice, turning so that he could properly greet her. His lips curved upwards into a genuine smile, still too preoccupied with draining the last of his drink to respond verbally. After he’d managed to get the last little dredges of honey, he’d curtly nodded his head in both acknowledgement and confirmation. It was around this time, Syel had begun to approach, her melodic voice cutting through the quite mumbling of other patrons with ease; it had a definitive presence to it. “Good Morning to both of you, Syel, we’ve been slated to go exterminate a Rogue Tomato that’s been pestering some of the Merchants in the Dalmascan Eastersands…”
His thoughts lingered on the Ysera’s mentioning of the increased marks on the black fiends. If either paid close enough attention, they’d notice that his hand had clenched so tightly that every ounce of color drained from his already pale hand; he despised those creatures. A small group of them had escaped from the Waterway into Low Town and attempted to attack one of the groups of orphans he’d been tending to. Fortunately, one of the elderly man was a prior solider and kept his sword nearby, it gave Dieter a means to fend them off. Still, one of the children had gotten injured, it wasn’t life threatening but it served as a reminder that he needed to be better; he couldn’t afford to fail Belias a second time. His playful smiled diminished ever so slightly, one could see a frown playing at the corner of his lips. However, it would never fully form. ” I suppose, they’ve been inching a little too close to home. Let’s grab a couple of their Marks as well. A few of them snuck into Low Town earlier this week and injured Tim, one of the orphans I take care off.”
This was a rare and momentous occasion, it was one of the few times that Dieter gave them insight to his personal life; albeit this wasn’t necessarily a secret. He knew that many of his clansmen had seen him take portions of his payments from each of his mark to purchase food, medicine, and sometimes clothing for the orphans of Low Town. It was strange to say but he felt a kindred bond between them; he’d always had a soft spot for orphans. Still, the fact he’d elected to tell Syel and Ysera about his personal affairs still spoke volumes of the degree of trust he’d placed in both of them. He’d tentative placed his emptied glass upon the counter top and made his way over to the Mark Board, scanning its’ content for a few of related to the Heartless that had begun harassing travelers either on their way into their city or on their way to the outpost. What are these creatures , he wondered to himself. They were unlike anything he’d ever encountered; either in this plain or the Empyreal. He’d snatched two of the three marked hunts, since they just asked for the disposal of minimum of five Heartless each; it was an easy enough mission for the three of them. “So today’s hunts will be the Rogue Tomato, and ten of those black creatures..”

| Ysera listened calm as Syel appeared as well, she simply nodded her head instead of voicing her welcome. Especially since Dieter started to explain to her on the mask of the Rogue Tomato, so she left the explanation to him while paying attention to the other patrons and whether people were taking up marks from the board. Considering the marks on the black fiends, she nodded again when Dieter suggested grabbing a few of those.
Looking at Syel, Ysera figured she'd be interested in them as well. With her habits of research and figuring out things, it might even come in handy. In her mind, she pondered on where they could've come from to begin with. "They're not the... typical enemies, nor those from the usual planes..." she stated calm while moving away from the bar. It was a problem with how they were popping around, but considering some of the denizens of the Void, maybe there was more trouble brewing up.
Ysera understood that Dieter would be annoyed with how they can cause trouble especially in Low Town, it's not like that area was that well defended, "do you think the Void has some hand on these?" Her eyes shifted to Syel in case she had more information on this, but she didn't leave Dieter out either. The two were bigger sources of information than what she held, unless they were of the skies, she supposed. Considering her time with the Purvama and with the Astral Plane. Then her knowledge might even be greater than Syel's.
Walking to the Mark Board alongside Dieter, she did keep wondering on it. It seemed like it would be a problem if the Void started tearing open in so many places. And if this was not that, then what could it be? "It'd be of interest to find out what is causing them to appear in the first place," she continued after some thinking before nodding on Dieter's suggestion for today's hunt. Ten of the fiends seemed like an alright amount, "let us move out." With that, she started moving out of the pub, so they could get underway.

Rogue Tomato, it sounded familiar to Syel. Hadn't there been previous marks much like this one? What are these tomato's doing? she pondered calm to herself. “So a tomato to crush, got it,” she said happily, wondering how to squash it. Also pondering on why they were with three for a tomato. It seemed like a weak target or had some things been going around on this one tomato. Thinking about it, she had seen requests for small fry and found that 'small fry' wasn't really 'small'. She honestly hoped this wasn't some giant tomato all Behemoth style, that'd be worrisome.
Listening in on Ysera and Dieter about these black fiends, they seemed to have been a menace thus far. “Could be from the Void,” Syel answered Ysera, uncertain what to make of them. “I heard they disappeared when killed and not in an usual way, many also have floating heart-like phantoms becoming released from their bodies once dead, we should try looking into that as well,” she wondered if there was a request on capturing one, but heard they easily vanished from this plane and weren't really that capturable.
Nodding on Dieter taking the marks and Ysera speaking of the interest on what is causing these appearances, Syel felt she didn't have much else to bring in. She then simply followed the two out. “Should we go through Low Town to the Estersands? If anything is sneaking in, we can kick it out before finding outselves outside,” she opted while pointing in the direction of Low Town once they stood outside the bar.

And while you are sitting indoors waiting for the storm to pass I will be outside dancing in the rain The Dark Knight’s hands clenched discreetly behind his back, his nails dug into the flesh of his palms hard enough to nearly draw blood. What caused this adverse reaction, it was the mere mention of other planes; neither of his comrades knew that he was from the Empyreal Plane. What did this entail? It meant unlike Ysera and Syel, Dieter was not a natural denizen of Ivalice, no he’d come from a mirror world; one separated by a magical divide. How would his comrades react if they’d discovered his closely guarded secret, that he was actually an Archaedaemon, that he’d served one of the Twelve. His gaze briefly lingered on the back of his righthand, specifically the glyph branded on it; an ancient symbol that identified him as Belias the Gigas’ vassal. He couldn’t help but chuckle to himself when he’d heard Syel’s happily exclamation that they could simply crush it. Perhaps, it had slipped her memory, the Rogue Tomato while it was diminutive in stature, it possessed the problematic ability to breathe fire. Not to mention it was quite agile for its’ small size, making it tad more problematic than its’ name implied. His head craned in Syel’s and Ysera’s direction as the latter inquired about the potential of the Void’s involvement. He couldn’t recall ever seeing an existence like the dreaded that remotely resembled the dreaded heartless, in his own world, nor during the War of the Lions. but then again, it felt as if much had changed during crystalline stasis following Lord Belias’ disappearance; one of the unwelcomed changes was the current plague. How many lonely years had he slumbered. Sadly, this meant that Dieter was just as in dark as his comrades. Now, if they’d inquired about any number of the countless monsters that inhabited the lands; he knew more than most Beast Tamers. Which shouldn’t of came as much of a surprise, especially if one took into consideration that he was vastly older than anyone could have guessed. He solemnly nodded his head in agreement, Ysera had a valid point if they’d could decimate the reason behind the Heartless’ sudden arrival, perhaps they could stop it. He could verify the rumors that Syel spouted off. When those beasts perished, they simply decayed into a black mist that faded into nothingness; not before that’d released a heart-like construct. This also meant that it was impossible to capture them, especially given their strange unexplainable ability to meld with almost every substance. “ I agree, I can check on the Orphans on the way out. Any objections Ysera?“ He said softly as he’d made his way out of the bar and lingered beside Syel for a moment.

| Syel's cheerful proclamation on crushing tomato's had Ysera wonder what brought forth this Mark again. The Rogue Tomato had been an annoying pest more than once in the past and the critters simply didn't seem to want to stay down. While some might find this hunt easy, the critters were nimble and hard to deal with at times. She wasn't entirely certain how well their group worked against this thing either, but while Dieter's magic was largely fire-based, he should be able to cleave the critter if they managed. It didn't seem that hard of a target all in all.
The phantom-like hearts were new to Ysera. She hadn't exactly encountered the fiends much herself. She had heard tales, seen a few from a distance, but never had the opportunity to take down one. As they were like shadows and she heard some fused themselves with the very surface, they seemed like a hard thing to handle. Still, many were easily taken down from the rumors, so they weren't that powerful a foe. At least not yet. Ysera nodded to Syel, "can you try to figure if they have any Mist?" If the heart-like phantoms or thecreatures themselves contained Mist, a Viera might be able to feel it due to their sensitivity, but Ysera wasn't entirely certain. A certain device to understand what the phantoms were made of would be much appreciated, but unlikely to have.
As they got out of the bar, Ysera looked at the two companions on their suggestion to visit Low Town first. She nodded, "no objections, it's possibly for the best even and it isn't like the Mark on the black fiends indicated where we needed to dispatch them." With that reply, she turned and headed for Low Town.

The question Ysera raised was not one Syel was anticipating. But perhaps she could give a chance to see if they were made of Mist, she doubted it however. They didn't appear to be anything of Ivalice to begin with. The tales thus far weren't helpful in that regard either. It just bugged the viera a lot. Still, she nodded and figured she'd give it a try.
Looking over both companions as they agreed on checking on the orphans and Low Town, Syel simply smiled and followed along to Low Town. Having everyone go there, she pondered to herself on whether they could figure out a way to deal with the black fiends while also gaining more information on them. Looking over Dieter and Ysera, she didn't really know if they had any possible actions that may be of use in the way of attaining knowledge. While walking, she did give an attempt of conversing: “since they're not to be caught... Not permanently in any case, do either of you know if there's a way to still gain more knowledge on them? Outside the Mist, I mean,” she added hurriedly, knowing Ysera had asked her on that.
Coming to Low Town, she looked around herself in case there were any of the fiends nearby or any panic, but she saw the people simply walk around in a calm manner or stand and talk. “Maybe you should lead us to the orphans,” Syel said as she turned to Dieter, knowing he would have a better idea on where they might be and where they were headed. At least until they were going out. ulla

Ah, yes , Dieter mused internally, Ysera’s request reminding him that Viera possessed an innate bond to the dreaded Mist – although overexposure was known to drive them into an uncontrolled frenzy. The Dark Knight’s teeth sunk into his lower lip, nervously gnawing on the plump corner as he’d pondered if Syel sensed that he wasn’t of this plain? No, Syel would have brought it to Ysera or the Guild’s attention, right? Not to mention, their existence was documented scarcely throughout history – brief mentions made of their Scions and the immense power they’d wielded. He’d seldom saw mention of the Empyreal Plains, nor did the Ivalican’s accumulated knowledge suggest that they’d unearthed the mystery of his kind – no it all was subjective and speculation at he best. He’d breathed an audible sigh of relief, arching his back and raising his right arm above his head to conceal the true meaning behind the sigh.
“Sadly, I do not… they dissipate shortly after being cut down… some even release small lights…”
Dieter tacked on, voicing that he was at a loss as well, uncertain of how to properly contain the creatures long term – their ability to meld with shadows proved to be quite problematic. Syel’s request for him to lead them to the Orphans was met with a curt nod of his head. Surprisingly enough, it took Dieter perhaps five minutes to find the Orphans. They were sitting in the midst of a court yard, some sparred with one another using wooden weaponry, others were preoccupied lining up shots with practice bows at stationary targets, and some were idling around. He’d coughed once or twice in an attempt to get their attention, chuckling to himself as the children dropped whatever was in their hands to swarm in his direction. The Dark Knight didn’t hesitate to kneel down, playfully ruffling their grime encrusted tresses.
Their excitable yammered on about how they’d went into the Water Way in order to hunt down some of the Rats. They’d immediately fell silence with the cold glare he’d shot in their direction, each child visibly shrinking back from Dieter as he’d rose back to his full height. If Syel or Ysera bothered to glance downwards, they’d notice that the Dark Knight’s fists were tightly ball at his side – every ounce of color drained from his fingers.
“I thought I told you… not to got hunting without supervision? You know those black fiends run wild in the Water Way…”
He’d paid no mind to their frantic apologizes, each one pointing the finger at one another until one of the wounded War Veterans emerged from an delipidated hunt. The man was missing his off-hand, it’d had gotten lopped off by a Dustia in the Dalmascian Westersands – such an injury meant the end of his career with the Empire’s Army. When children noticed the man, they’d all immediately pointed at him, proclaiming that he’d entered the Water Way with them as their Caretaker. Before he’d could inquire, the man defused the escalating situation by reaffirming the children’s claim.
“Did you see any of the fiend?”
He’d asked, his fist unclenched and slowly regaining it’s color. All of them nodded their head in synch, admitting they’d seen more than a handful lurking about – they’d taken precautions to avoid them

| Ysera shrugged at Syel's inquiries on the capturing and such. These fiends were hard to deal with and she had honestly no clue what made them attack in the first place. Perhaps it was something they were after, but what really led them here? The Gria didn't like this any bit. The Darkness that had been showing in places, the fiends attacking, and now all the trouble across the land. It was like there was yet another conflict going on in Ivalice. If only things could remain peaceful. Though, honestly she'd have less of a job if there was truly nothing of monsters and the kind.
Continuing their way, Dieter now led them towards the orphans. Syel's suggestion on that was definitely for the best, considering the man would likely have the best idea of where to go while the other two of them just could guess where they might presently be. After mere minutes, they were by the courtyard that the orphans seemed to be sparring and practicing on. Are they all planning to become fighters? she pondered to herself while looking curious over each orphan.
When the orphans suddenly showed fear, Ysera blinked confused and looked towards Dieter, who seemed to be not too amused with what the orphans had been doing. Shrugging, Ysera felt it wasn't her place to mingle herself into this talk. However, an older person appeared who happened to be the one supervising when the orphans went down the Water Way. It appeared they all had been seeing some kind of fiends.
"Should we check?" Ysera calmly inquired, not wanting to bother the group with too many things. "It's not really closer to the Mark, but if these are this closeby to the city, it requires our attention more," she continued in a calm and slow manner. | | |

Syel smiled as Dieter agreed to guide them, following her two clansmen further into Low Town. On the way, she kept looking around and checking the place. She came down in Low Town more often, but never all that much. It was always an interesting experience to see the differences between Low Town and the higher grounds. Especially when one went to the royal areas.
As they stumbled upon the orphans Dieter took care of, Syel waved with a smile, but became far more shocked when Dieter seemed rather... angry? She wasn't anticipating this too much. "Wouldn't they be able to go down the waterworks but stay near town?" she asked carefully of Dieter, it just felt mean to keep them trapped down in Low Town and not allowing them to have some little adventures of their own. She felt if they knew how to deal with some things and run when needed, the kids could do a lot.
As the discussion on the fiend took place, Syel hopped to it. "I say we look," she called when Ysera suggested on whether to check on it and the vipers didn't wait for response as she hurried onward to head for the waterways, "let's see what type of fiend this one is!" she called out curious and cheerfully.

| They know that they aren’t permitted to hunt without some form of supervision! Dieter hadn’t imposed such a rule to hinder them, no, he’d proposed it because he’d felt they weren’t properly outfitted to handle some of the fiends. His expression softened as he’d inhaled deeply through his nostrils, letting a singular controlled breath as Syel interjected. The Viera made a valid point, they shouldn’t need supervision if they remained close to the Entrance. However, he’d anticipated that some would become haughty after they’d slewn a few, their ego would no doubt cloud their judgement. From that point, it would continue to spiral out of control as the children egged one another on to progress further and further in. Syel has a point , Dieter admitted as he’d turned to face Helios’ Amibtions lead Researcher.
“ They can, I just worry that they’ll let defeating a few Dire Rats cloud their judgement..”
Dieter confessed, his tone softening as he’d knelt down to adjust one of the children’s armor – they hadn’t secured it properly and it was threatening to slid right off. It is a novice mistake, but it is one that could cost them their lives Dieter thought to himself as he’d attempted to rationalize his unusual behavior. What made him so certain of this? It was the fact that he’d witnessed it with countless young Squires whom had been conscripted to fight for their Lord during the War of the Lion. He’d dismissed the depression notion with a curt shake of his head. Now wasn’t the time to dwell on his blood-stained past, they had a mission to attend to.
“I agree, Children ready yourselves, you can hunt as we attend to our business.”
Dieter said firmly, a smile playing at his lips as the children frantically ran about as they’d readied themselves. Dieter’s attention shifted from the children back to where Syel had been standing a moment prior. He’d blinked once or twice before the realization had sunken in, she was already storming off ahead. She must be excited about another research subject Dieter thought with a chuckle, surprised by the break in Syel’s stoic demeanor. He’d shot Ysera an amused smirk, shrugging his shoulders nonchalantly as he’d followed after Syel. However, he actually proceeded into the Garamsythe Waterway and paused in front of the sluice controls. He’d made a series of quick adjustments to ensure that the more dangerous paths were flooded, forcing many of the fiend to retreat further into the sewers.
Once he’d finished this, he’d wiped his brow and turn to see a handful of his more diligent protégée standing behind him. The children’s party consisted of two archers, a black mage, a white mage, and a warrior equipped with a gladius and a crudely formed shield. Although, there were other children looming a bit further back, they were primarily non-combatants, their role was to harvest their hunt, diligently collecting the loot so that they didn’t have to slow down.
“Can you lead us to where you saw the Dark ones?”
He’d asked the quintet, each of whom eagerly nodded their heads.

| While Ysera had preferred to not interfere with Dieter and the orphans, it appeared to her that Syel had no such qualms. Listening to her and Dieter discuss this made her just look over the children and stay silent all the more. Well, Syel was the more outspoken and more likely to know what she was dealing with, but both had a fair understanding of... children and that, she presumed. It was neither her place nor her field of expertise. Right now she preferred just shooting things over debates.
As the conversation moved to heading out to the waterworks, it was Syel who quickly rushed ahead. Her eyes simply stared at the back of the viera as Ysera listened to Dieter agreeing with her to check it out. Watching Dieter smirk and shrug, the Gria let out a drawn-out sigh. Honestly, she very well understood that the viera would be interested, considering this kind of thing which allowed also some research onto the fiends was definitely her field of expertise. Following along with Dieter and the orphans, they went after Syel towards the Garamsythe Waterway. Looking over the control and the water, then towards Syel and Dieter, the gria paused.
Considering their position and where they were headed, Ysera figured they’d best also keep check if they can keep the youth save. While she herself was in no position of healing and aiding outside some advice and back-up, she hoped both Dieter and Syel knew what they were doing. Again, this was not her field.
A quintet of orphans that formed a party was asked by Dieter to lead them. The gria looked back at the children outside these five. "I’ll stay by the back," Ysera said, figuring she’d cover the back in case anything hit them from behind. Plus, her range was greater than the others. The group, at present, was already large, so it was hard to avoid danger. "Considering the size of our group," she continued as her right lighted up when she stretched out her hand. Two presences popped up at her sides as both Shivan and Sylph were summoned to her side, "I’ll add some extra protection for our young gatherers," she commented. | Abilities Used Ring of Pacts: Shivan: Rank I Ranged Water Esper. Well, at least Dieter seemed to agree somewhat to her statement. She supposed there was some truth in his words as well, but a little danger was never wrong she felt. Then again, she didn't expect the group to take on too difficult of a foe. Dire Rats were one thing, these black fiends have been rather different per sort, so it gets trickier to place them.
Moving to their destination, Syel wasn't entirely sure whether the idea of bringing along a large group was the brightest idea. While the children could fend for themselves, true, the fact they were with so many could either scare things away... or bring about more pests than wanted? It just seemed odd.
As they moved, it seemed the small group of actual equipped children were the ones who were going to lead the entire battalion towards their destination. The rest didn't appear like fighters to start with. Ysera then added two more to the group and the Viera just shrugged, "are we certain we're not soon drawing out either more trouble than necessary or something larger than common by being with this many?" she asked a bit disturbed, "though, honestly it'd be nice if we could draw out the 'boss' of the 'Dark Ones' and rid ourselves of all the problems at once, but I doubt it's going to be that easy." She hoped this would raise some questions towards the rest.
Bringing her hammer to her side, she swung around as she stepped lightly ahead to stay with the quintet at least. "I'll try and aid in support, but will focus on sensing any of the Mist as we discussed earlier," she continued, going by the previous discussion, "it'd aid in the research, but I am not certain how far the problems may extend. I suggest we draw back if things get more messy than necessary." She hoped the others would understand.
