Updating magic terminology for internal consistency with archipelago lore. Setting clear mechanical effects for Cheer, as it caused debate during prior events.
Para Magic (Charge: One Post, effects are resolved next post. | Cooldown of One Post on success, no cooldown on failure.)
Gyun is proficient in para magic, a special form of magic common on his world. Only the scant few from his world with inherent sorcerous power can learn magic other than para-magic or the adapted magic common across worlds in the Kingdom Hearts universe.
Para magic is complex, an ability usually only usable by channeling and filtering nearby energies through a guardian force, it functions by pulling magic from places where natural confluences where it gathers, producing spells of varying potency and element, which is determined directly by the type and amount of energy available in a given location. As a practitioner of para magic, Gyun has learned to see where natural confluences of magic occur and make educated estimations as to what spells he might be able to create by drawing from foes.
Para magic 'syphons' usage of a spell from a person, place, or thing, and Gyun temporarily gains use of these spells (For the duration of a thread.) Drawing requires a skill check from 1 to 10. 1 is a complete failure and 9 or 10 is a complete success. On a complete success, Gyun perfectly understands his opponent's magic and may choose to copy any spell (or if necessary, weaker tier of spell) up to one level above his proficiency. that the target knows, and the target's spells become available to be permanently learned for the appropriate expenditures. These spells may be learned as soon as he has the required points and skill level. 7-8 is considered a great success, and Gyun may draw a spell up to one level above his normal proficiency as per a complete success. 2-6 are considered to be a normal success, on these checks Gyun is limited to spells completely appropriate to his proficiency. In rare cases, a perfect success on powerful foes, mystical objects, or extraordinary locations can create the potential for a guardian force, which once unlocked, must be obtained for a fee as normal.
Drawing is a full action that requires focus and Gyun cannot counterattack or divert his focus from his target during this process in order to successfully complete activation of the skill. Losing track of his target is an automatic failure regardless of roll, as is suffering significant harm or a status effect capable of breaking his focus, such as suffering the effect of confusion.
Cheer (Duration: Up to three posts. | Cooldown: Posts equivalent to the number of consecutive cheers + 2. )
Gyun has two forms of cheer, passive and active. Gyun's pleasant and optimistic presence and noble spirit provides a passive effect that warms the hearts of those around him and reduces the strain of casting magic or maintaining summons, those allied with him have their cast cooldowns and summoning times reduced by one OR duration increased by one, but not both. Gyun does not benefit from this effect.
The active form of cheer is considered an active channeled ability. Gyun cheers his companions on, rapidly restoring spent stamina, curing the confusion status, raising morale and applying a minor regenerative effect while in use. Mechanically, reducing cooldowns on non magical skills and abilities by one, and restoring an additional point of health to allies each turn after the first, up to a maximum of six.
