| one little spark of imagination~ a dream can be a dream come true Ahhh, imagination. Truly one of the strongest forces in aaaaaaall of creation! From the smallest of babes to the proudest of rules, ever creature alive had some measure of imagination! Even the little critters of nature! Imagination has ever been a driving force for mankind's expansion to not only the stars above but to the seas below or lands across. Without imagination people cease to truly grow, merely wandering through life, never thinking of what could be! It was enough to bring a tear to a dragon's eye. As one of the champions of imagination...well maybe champion was a strong word. Figment was more humble than that! But he did always try his darnedest to bring creativity and imagination to wherever he may go!
His travels across the worlds may have began as merely trying to find his lost friend, but it was growing into so much more than that. It was now an opportunity to make friends and memories all across creation! Sure sometimes it proved to be more dangerous than the dragon had anticipated, what with those pesky Heartless or whatever other spooky meanies were floating about, but the peoples of those worlds had proven that they knew how to deal with meanies and monsters. Most worlds survived, but some even thrived in spite of the hardships caused by those creature. And today, the dragons travels would take him back to one of those thriving worlds...Hydaelyn!
Having been to this world only once before, Figment was hardly an expert on the planet by any means, but it was easy to tell that the people of Eorzea at the very least were a resilient lot, who made the most of what they had even through hard times! It was admirable to say the least. It was clear that this was a land that never gave up on hope. High, high up in the sky, Figment scanned the horizon. The last time he had been here, he visited the desert! Finding the great big casino out there and taking part in a chocobo race was a blast! This time however the imagineer found himself hovering above a great and lush forest! It was beautiful, much like the desert was in its own way, and thus would Figment dive, dive, dive down through the foliage and into the eastern portion of this shrouded forest.
A light fog had settled throughout the woods it seemed, a leftover from a heavy rain recently perhaps? Figment pondered this as he floated through the trees, the area awash with the sound of life. Bugs buzzing, critters chirping or whooping, birds squawking. The gentle rush of a breeze rustling the leaves. The place seemed to be rather peaceful! It wouldn't hurt to land and take a little stroll along the well trodden paths, and so Figment would do just that! Landing with the soft crunch of leaves beneath his paws, the dragon would smile to himself as he gazed about, an impressed little whistle escaping his lips as he appreciated the true magnitude of some of these trees! How many years had these green goliaths stood watch over the wood? The folks who lived out here were probably just as mighty as the oaks! Would he wander into any of them, he wondered?

I WANT TO LINE THE PIECES UP... YOURS, AND MINE. ♥ Two keyblades flashed in the light that filtered down through the trees as a figure darted back and forth between the aged oaks. The silence of the otherwise tranquil forest had been shattered by the crunch of plants being trampled over and the eerie sound of sharpened metal tearing through darkness given form. As the writhing heartless fell, their iridescent hearts rose like balloons and seemed to dissolve into the treetops. One in particular left what looked like a bright, oddly shaped stone where it had stood as proof that it had ever existed, which Roxas quickly darted to collect. "Getting there," he huffed, finally standing still long enough to shove the ore into his pocket. He took a few seconds to catch his breath while keeping his eyes on the remaining heartless that circled him. He had to have been at this for hours now, or at least what felt like hours, as the metals that clinked in his pockets and poked sharply against his legs reminded him. Looking for synthesis materials was proving to be more difficult than he'd thought it would be, and he still didn't have nearly as many as he needed—that was the price he paid for having twice as many keyblades as his friends did, he supposed. "Alright, then!" Steeling himself again, he twirled his weapons in his hand with a flourish and prepared to make quick work of the shadowy foes, hoping he might be lucky enough for another drop.

| Wishes and dreams I want to come true. The feelings I wish I could tell you. A miracle created from the things I've always believed is connected to the future. Always, always I want you to watch over me, my dear friend. |
● Make my wish come true... let darkness slip aside The soft crinkle of leaves that were trodden underhoof of her steed had become the soft lullaby the warrior maiden has grown used to by each passing hour. She had been traversing the woods for days in search of a rumor, a challenge she had sought-after since the poisonous tales dripped into her ears like the venomous nips of a viper. A creature unlike the Odin of her world, has been seen menacing these woods. It was a shade, a specter of darkness that she held herself responsible for. Heartless has been becoming an issue in each world and they oft times took the form of familiar beasts of the hearth only to produce a terror that filled many with dread.
The robotic stallion nickered and would shake their head, which stirred Lightning from her solitary prose: thoughts dancing in her mind filled with fictitious outcomes of yet fought battles. These scenarios did well to occupy the kind in a world so foreign that memories were often dreamt up in hopes of replicating a sense of home and belonging. The beast had no reigns nor indication that it was a creature domesticated for such tasks as the one he performed for her. The Valkyrie allowed her gaze to drift off into the wood, the eidolon's senses picking up the faint disturbance. Reaching to her hip the warrior goddess would draw her blade free: the thin weapon sang as it was freed from its scabbard.
"Let's ride!" She called out as a familiar shift in her posture sent the warrior's partner blazing through the treeline.
Each hoof-fall was like a clap of thunder, crackles of lightning arcing from the plated joints that lined it's body crawled over the woman's skin with a tingling caress she was intimately familiar with. The young Keyblader would not be without aide because as soon as the rider and mount came into view any Heartless in the path of the gunblade would be tore apart by a dazzling display of light. It was like watching a storm arrive because even at the heels of the charging pair darkness blanketed the canopy shrouded skies as a collection of clouds carried a storm across the Eastern Shroud.
As the cacophonous howl of thunder faded and the arcs of energy were absorbed back into the blade a silence fell over Valkyrie and mount. She wore a brilliant plate with a skirt pleated in white feathers giving the illusion of a skirt of crossed wings. The stallion looked mostly mechanical in nature with four haunting eyes that glowed like a spider's.
"Are you okay?" A soft tone, heavy with breath as her chest heaved between inhales. "Those aren't ordinary creatures." She warned, knowing well of the dangers posed by them. Ordinary weapons had no power against them, and magicked items could forestall their advanced, but the warrior had seen how more would eventually crop up as the ones present were seemingly slain.
If Figment was within earshot the crack of thunder could be heard and a flash or lightning arched through the wood. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

| one little spark of imagination~ a dream can be a dream come true The sounds of the forest really were quite soothing. Figment was pleased that he had managed to find such a relaxing spot to have a stroll. No flashing lights, no hustle and bustle, no Heartless. That was always such a big plus! Somewhere though off in the distance, something else was making a din just over the dulcet sounds of the forest. The dragon tilted his head and tried to listen. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't peaceful!...Which probably meant someone was in trouble, yikes! Rubbing their paws together the little dragon would wind up then leap into the air, flying off towards the sound of the clamor.
As he zipped his way through the wood, a loud boom of thunder and the flash of lightning drew his attention And were those...hoof steps? Whatever was making this much noise might be bad news, but if there was someone in danger Figment could hardly just sit by and do nothing! Flapping faster and faster, with all his might, the dragon would eventually bumble his way through a particularly thick thicket that had him trapped, the dragon's form balling up and rolling across the forest floor before coming to a stop by bumping into Roxas' leg. Dazed but determined Figment would stumble back up to his paws. "Woowie someone really needs to get a gardener out here, the vines are viscous." he'd muse with a little giggle as he gazed on the scene. Humans! Alright well at least the dragon hadn't tumbled his way into a monster's den. Though as his eyes pathed across the way he'd stop and stare at the Heartless before groaning. "Are these guys everywhere or what? I don't suppose you guys wanna be friends?" one of the Shadows would respond by trying to leap and claw at the little dragon, who luckily for Figment was just a bit too fast for it. "It was worth a shooooot!" they'd quickly rush behind Roxas and peek out from behind the kid's leg. "Hi there, I'm Figment, it's nice to meet you! You too miss!" the dragon waved up and over at Lightning with a kindhearted smile. "I like your horse!"

I WANT TO LINE THE PIECES UP... YOURS, AND MINE. ♥ As the twigs and leaves trembled with each thunderous hoofbeat, each growing louder than the last, Roxas tensed, his body coiled like a spring to react to the thing that was fast approaching. Even the remaining heartless seemed to waver where they stood, blinking their bulbous glowing eyes. Suddenly Lightning burst into the scene with as much clamor and grandeur as her name would suggest, and Roxas only had the time to throw his keyblades in front of his face by way of a shield, shutting his eyes tight against the flash of blinding light. As soon as the red in his vision faded back to black he lowered his guard to face what had come, but his tense expression quickly turned to one of surprise when he saw a great mechanical steed and atop it, a girl. She looked nice enough. "Are you okay?" she'd asked, and her voice sounded odd on Roxas' ears after that booming thunder, but as he saw the glittering remains of most of the heartless fluttering up into the sky and he caught up to what had happened, he relaxed and broke into an easy smile. "Yeah, thanks! I mean, I didn't really need a rescue, but you sure made my job easier," though as he peered around the mechanical legs of the stallion he was disappointed at the absence of glittering synthesis ore. He was about to ask who she was when something round and purple collided with his leg. He leaped back, taken by surprise, but as the creature righted itself he quickly came to the conclusion that nothing that cute looking could possibly pose any danger. It almost looked like a dream eater, until he remembered that dream eaters didn't usually speak, and Roxas could see no emblems of any sort on its body. "Watch out!" he warned as the shadow made a daring bid forward, and fortunately the little dragon was fast enough to clear out of harm's way as it ducked behind him. Roxas took care of it with one clean slice before turning his attention downwards. "Are you ok? ...You're looking for friends?" he found himself smiling as the dragon's outgoing bluntness reminded him of his counterpart.

● Make my wish come true... let darkness slip aside Lightning couldn't help but smirk at his comment. She would wonder if she was like that in her youth or it had come about with the harsh circumstance of having to grow up too fast. She looked to Roxas, her sky blue eyes soft upon him like a mother who lamented not spending enough time with their -- but she was no mother. Just a concerned adult who knew better than to involve kids in such dangerous situations. She felt her lips pursed as her brows gently knit as her thoughts on his dismissal brought more worry than ease. What was a kid doing out here in the middle of the woods?
She had moved to slid from the horse's back with a practiced ease, the warrior holding her hands on his sides so were he to make any sudden movements she could catch herself, and lo he would. The equine, of sorts, would rear up, its glowing, robotic eyes glowing a moment as it stamped its hooves on the ground, scratching its right forehoof to warn of something coming. Lightning was quick, but not quick enough, because whatever it was had made contact with Roxas. She drew her blade, but as she did the situation came to ahead. It looked to be some rotund, talking animal. It didn't seem to be aggressive, and the horse had turned its head to the grass, ignoring the situation as a whole. Relaxing the Valkyrie sheathed her weapon and walked towards the pair before kneeling down.
"Hold still." Her gentle voice seemed rather motherly, despite never having had such experience. No it was much like a sister spoke to her younger siblings. It was very similar, but more familiar. "I'm Lightning." She offered as a glow began to emanate from her palm. It was a Cure spell. Though they seemed fine she didn't want to take any chances. Pushing to stand she would dust her gauntlet covered hands. "And I am sure he likes you. He's very gentle, despite his looks."
The mechanical horse seemed to stare off and watch over the group, occasionally observing the trio with a content look about it. Snorting the four legged companion walked around the edges of their immediate vicinity with a uneasy curiosity. There was something about this energy he recognized. Something was calling his name...
"So, you two wouldn't happen to know where we are?" The woods were dense and there was no telling if there was a village nearby. "I'm not from around here." By her armor it would be difficult to tell where she was or under who's banner she rode.
But she can be sure that something brought her here and she would not leave until she settled the ripple in the Time Gates. Her hands clasped together as she heard the dragon's question, at least finally realized it. She blinked, confused for a moment before a soft laugh bubbled from her chest.
"Friends --?" Oh well she had plenty of those. Her eyes pinched closed as her smile seemed to deepen, more gentle laughter ringing in the soft solace of the wood. "...of course. Friends help each other out, right? How about I help you two find a way out of here and you can help me too." She couldn't help but feel something amiss, so it was probably better not to be still long lest more of those shadows crop up.
"It comes from the darkness." A voice that only Lightning should hear, spoke.
"Come on." Lightning urged.

| one little spark of imagination~ a dream can be a dream come true Oh thank goodness! These friends were friendly! That was a load off the dragon's mind. Not only that, the both of them seemed like they could handle those pesky little shadowy guys without any problems either. At the boy's question, Figment would nod his head and smile, floating up to be closer to eye level with him. "Always! This time it's just more...incidental than active! But I'm always on the lookout to make new friends wherever I go." he would say with a jovial smile before glancing over towards the group of Heartless still ambling about and itching for a fight. "Though some people out there just don't seem to keen on playing nice do they?" Figment let out a little sigh. He didn't know what the little guys' deal was or why they were so frisky for fisticuffs, but they always seemed to show up wherever he went these days. That line of ponderous pondering was purloined though by an almost tickly tingle teasing him as a warm soothing magic washed across him. "Ooh! That felt good, thanks Lightning!" the dragon would say with a smile up to the woman and over at the horse again. Boy, where could he find one of those? Woooowie.
"Oh! Oh! I think I know where we are!" Figment would say, raising a paw like an excited schoolboy before continuing, floating his way up to be closer to Lightning's eye level. "We're on the world of Hydaelyn! And if I remember what people were telling the last time I was here, we must be somewhere in The Black Shroud. It's a big old forest with all kinds of critters...Though...I don't really remember anyone mentioning those guys." the dragon would squint his eyes at the Heartless again and blow a raspberry in their direction before turning his attention back to Roxas and Lightning. "That's right, friends help out friends and I would be delighted to help you two out!" the dragon waved his hands over his head in an arc with a giddy giggle, confetti and sparkles falling from...well, nowhere as he did so. "Those inky guys always seem to go after nice people though, we should at least clear them out first before going on any strolls. I'd hate for anyone to get hurt, we should hurry before any more show up!"
As if to taunt Figment's wholesome desire, more Heartless soon appeared, these taller than their shadow brethren and bedecked in ramshackle armor. The dragon groaned in exacerbation. "Y'know it's like I just can't open my mouth anymore without inserting my paw right on in."
