Rina nodded in acknowledgement to both Uriel's question and her preference in books. "A magician? Not quite. I feel like magicians are for children and they deal in cheap tricks and false illusions. I would say I'm closer to a mage than anything. But I'm not sure if a true mage would agree with me." Rina pushed herself away from the desk and towards a shelf on the other side of the room. "One of my first memories was attempting magic. But I wasn't able to hone it until I was older and better trained. Hmm...where's that one book?"
Rina dragged her fingertips over the spines of the tomes, walking the length of the shelf before bending to one of the lower rows. She made a noise of success and pulled out a weathered bestiary that was bound in a blue dragon's skin whose scales still glinted with the opalescence that only the fliers possessed. "Let's try this one. Sorry about the binding...it's a very old book and people are horrible, ya know?" She sat the tome down on the desk in front of Uriel and stood beside her. "This books is hundreds of years old and has all sort of dragons and lore in it. Hopefully we can find something."Uriel

Rina's explanation of her own magical skill quickly piqued Uriel's interest. Uriel herself was no practiced mage, what magic she felt she had was something that has always existed within her. People who actually trained to learn it fascinated her, in part because she couldn't imagine devoting herself to such a practice for such long periods of time. All the books and knowledge was interesting, but She was a person of sensation: Someone who lived to experience things rather than read about them... some may call such a person a fool.
They might well be right.
When Rina brought out that scaled book, Uriel's eyes practically lit up. "You're the best, Rina!" She said with a delighted grin as her magical friend set the book down on the desk. Uriel started looking through the glossary to find anything about dragons and shapeshifting... even breeds of dragons. The book had a lot in it from what she could see, but it soon dawned on her she wasn't exactly sure what she was looking for, so she mostly went over the various dragon breeds listed that might have some physical resemblance to her based on their names. "So much work went into this one..."

Rina went and perched on the corner of the desk, reading the text upside down as Uriel flipped through nodding in agreement with her. "I've did some research on it since it's one of the oldest books I've possessed. From what I've heard it was a family of...well... of hunters who hunted in the name of research. One person started the tome and generation after generation added to it until it became this volume. And then it was published as...I'm not sure. I'm not sure if it was intended to be like a sort of guide on slaying or just a list of all of the different dragons. It really reads both ways. But it is quite detailed as you can see." Rina hopped from the desk and went back to searching the shelves. "I'll see if I can find anything less malicious in nature, but nothing will be as detailed as that one. Oh!" Rina pulled a small red volume from the top. "This might work as well. Light dragons!"
