I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Landing back on solid ground, Nil took a second to catch his breath. Things were really starting to heat up, this was way more exercise than he had ever gotten outside of his Master's endurance tests. He always felt so worn out and heavy after that. Right now he only felt heavy...Really heavy. Painfully heavy! Growling, Nil thumped down onto one knee, the magic wracking around him and threatening to spill forth his breakfast thanks to the terribly distortion that came along with it. Luckily for him — and for all other parties involved — his stomach held together as the spell finished running its course. As expected of one of Zidane's friends, Vivi obviously was strong. Not physically but it was obvious his magic packed a wallop! So far he had been lucky to not take the brunt of his opponents assault, but luck can't last forever. And Beatrix, she couldn't last forever against th-Okay so maybe she could outlast Zidane and Vivi in battle. Beatrix obviously was highly skilled, She was on a whole different level from him. But that didn't make the behemoth feel any less like he wasn't pulling his weight. Nil clenched his fist tightly. Sure the metal arm could block a blow or two but it didn't compare to Zidane's daggers or Beatrix's sword. Or even Vivi's staff he bet! How would he be able to make his own way in the world if he had to rely on others constantly. Sure this was just a fight for fun, but there were things out there that wouldn't hesitate. Wouldn't hold back. How could he protect himself out there? How could he help protect his friends? He needed something! He needed... For a moment, the world around Nil disappeared. A vast darkness surrounded the behemoth on all sides. It felt familiar. He knew this place but couldn't put a finger on it. Cautiously he took a step forward. From the nothingness came a sound like shattering glass. Beneath his paws the ground lit up a stained glass mural on the ground. The imagery confused Nil for a moment, it was him standing back to back with the shadow silhouette of a human. Both of them wielding keyblades...Nil furrowed his brow in thought...what was...as something clicked in his head, he gasped softly. He remembered this place now, he had seen it before in waking dreams. That was all he thought they were after all, just dreams. But this? This felt real, more real than anything. A warm and powerful feeling rose high in his heart...In a blink the world had returned to Nil. Just how long had he been like that? It seemed that only moments had passed before the behemoth had snapped back to reality. Nil quickly got back up on his paws just as Zidane had finished landing and slapped his blades together. It seemed like both Vivi and Zidane's focus was still on Beatrix, good! Nil raised a gloved paw towards the the thief, briefly a glow of white enveloped the paw. Soon large white orbs descended around Zidane, spiraling wildly before crashing in towards him. Whether they hit their target or not the orbs would crash into one another and grow larger before exploding in a large burst of Holy magic. While the dust was still kicked up from Holy, Nil would take this opportunity to rush over towards Vivi again. The behemoth moved as if to swing a weapon that wasn't there...until it was. In a display of colourful lights a Keyblade manifested in the behemoth's paw just in time to try and knock the little mage left, right, and then airborne again with a Pop Drop. Nil knew however that he couldn't stay in one spot, even if he did manage to hit the mage. Continuing straight, Nil would skid once more on a heel once he was a good distance away and turn to face his opponents again. The weapon resting in his hand looked much like the tail of a behemoth, the tip though seemed like it had been dipped in paint. Ever shifting in colour and dripping. Nil gripped the handle of his newly woken keyblade in both paws and took a deep breath. The paint along the brush head took on an icy blue hue as magic swirled around it. From a distance, Nil would sling the icy 'paint' forward twice in a Wave of Mutilation towards Zidane. The frozen magic would try and surge towards the thief no matter where he tried to run. "I think you need to chill out, Zidane!...Was that good? That's a good quip, right?"________________ Action 1: Holy: In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti that is big explosion of holy magic aimed for Zidane! Holy: Glowing orbs of white, pearlescent energy spiral around a target before crashing into them, creating a larger orb which explodes into a burst of heavy Light-Elemental Magic damage. Cooldown: 3 Posts. Action 2: Pop Drop: With his keyblade, Nil can fight on a bit more even ground, and takes this chance to try and knock Vivi back up into the air with Pop Drop: A standard three hit combo with the Keyblade. When executed on the ground the last hit knocks enemies into the air. When executed in the air the last hit knocks enemies down to the ground. Deals average Physical damage. Cooldown: 1 Post. Action 3: Wave of Mutilation: But rather than stay still or try and pull the same trick again, Nil runs past Vivi whether he knocks the mage up or not. And once safely away, targets Zidane with a Blizzard infused Wave of Mutilation: Channel magical energies into the keyblade before slashing towards an enemy twice releasing waves of homing magic attacks. This ability acts as a form of Double Cast, allowing two of the same spell, or two different spells to be launched in quick succession. The cooldown of this attack is always 1 less than that of the spell used, but no less than 1 Post. Extremely powerful magics such as Ecliptic Meteor or beneficial magics such as Protect or Shell cannot be channeled in this way. Uses This Thread: 1/2. Cooldown: 1 Infused By Blizzard: Each wave deals Average Ice Elemental Damage. Cooldowns: Devil Claw: 0 Posts Remaining, Ready Next Post. Heave: 1 Post Remaining. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Vivi's health drain helped him feel good as new but it didn't last long. Beatrix was hurt by even Vivi's Demi spell but she didn't seemed remotely hindered. Zidane's voice found Vivi's ears in just enough time for the boy to snap out his hand and grab hold of the first part of Zidane he could reach as he was leaping into the air. Unfortunately, that ended up being Zidane's tail. It was a good and bad thing that Vivi was such a light small fry. Good because Zidane's tail probably wouldn't be hurt but bad because Vivi was whipped pretty high into the air flailing and emitting a shriek in surprise.
Unbeknownst to Vivi, he was able to avoid quite a mess of pain from another of Beatrix's famous attacks but being thrown so high made it hard for the boy to right himself to look out for oncoming attacks. He was caught and spun like an oak leaf in Beatrix's sonic tunnel before landing with a thud on the arena floor as a blindingly bright light lit it up. Disoriented in sight with spots in his eyes and dizzy from the jarring sonic attack, Vivi wasn't exactly hurt but he was understandably struggling to get to his feet. He shook his head trying to orient himself and just as his vision was clearing he was hit with an unstoppable onslaught of strikes from a keyblade and sent right back into the air! This time he was able to twist and face his attacker. He aimed his staff at the monster guy and he shouted his intended spell. "...!" but nothing came out! Fira...FIRA! Oh No! Vivi's eyes widened. This was bad!
His eyes moved to Zidane as he was falling back down to land on his feet. No. Zidane would remind him that he was not powerless without magic. Scream. Fight back. Just like when he'd gotten kidnapped in Dali. There was always something he could do. Memories of a blue club-like object made the boy's staff feel heavy in his hands. Vivi faced down the big behemoth guy and he leapt and spun in the air intent on whapping him right in his face! Vivi was sick of getting thrown around!

Strange new worlds and the war within them. Fighting the awfully nimble opponent of Zidane proved quite the challenge, in comparison to her last fight. Whereas James and Mogrid had been more about dishing out damage with practically looming spells, the thief was darting about the battlefield like a cricket in the cage of a python. Perhaps he had learned from his previous fights with her and had chosen a new strategy worthy of countering her presence. She had to commend him -- though not vocally; there was far too much to pay attention to.
He'd managed to come in at the last minute and save Vivi from one of her more devastating attacks, though the means was far more eccentric than a simple grab and go. The black mage wrapped his hand around his friend's tail and was practically yanked out of the way like the pet owner of a basilisk. Her attack still managed to connect with the thief, dealing some damage worthy of noting but not enough to turn the battle completely. Instead he summoned the power of his blades and released a pressure upon her that caused the General to stumble a step back. Her head was ringing as she felt a tight constriction upon her magical alleyways. So he had countered her Silence on Vivi by silencing her as well. Impressive. Her eye snapped up just as he released the jettison of pressurized air, causing her to stumble back even further. Her white magic was locked then, if only temporarily. She'd have to make do with a completely offensive front then.
Her vision glanced over to Nil, who had gained more confidence in his strength and begun a full on assault. Her eye caught his weapon as it took shape out of the air, materializing with a sparkling of light. Yet another keyblade it seemed; though it didn't quite resemble the one Sora had or the one Mogrid wielded. Was this a common weapon outside of Gaia? She'd have to take the time to ask later on. Now was the time to join her ally in his assault. She leapt forward, her sword swinging around her and leading the charge. She stopped a mere yard away from Vivi before she leapt up quickly, splitting the air as she brought the weapon up over her head. Down she came, bringing the Climhazard down towards the crown of his head. In a real battle of life and death, this would easily divorce a man's two sides of his body but here, it would hopefully be enough to flatten him onto the earth. She didn't wait to see how it turned out, turning her body about to face Zidane with a blade that now hissed like it had caught aflame. She swung it at him, the Shock unleashing the spiritual power that she had managed to build up inside of it hopefully against the thief's body and staking him to the ground.

The cut across his chest burned, but not half as much as it would have stung to stay in the neck of things! Vivi held on and the little mage was rocketed out of the way of the behemoth boy's strike. Thank goodness! The little guy was tough, but taking those horns to the side wasn't going to give anyone brownie points for tanking it! He wasn't going to just roll over and give up. He knew how powerful the general was, heck he's faced her many times in the battlefield and easily overwhelmed by her skill, despite the numbers he had on his side. He knew now that bullish, brute strength wasn't going to take her down, but he had a plan.
The rogue had landed and found himself in perfect range for his attacks. With Beatrix in front of him and Vivi challenging Nil beside them, it surely would be an e-- ea... "Really Nil?" Zidane threw out his arms at the furred boy in exasperation. "I guess if even you're stepping up your game..." Zidane had seen that weapon once before... only magic users --
Magic?!
Sh-- B O O M!
The holy erupted around Zidane, the thief doing his best to keep himself standing, but it was not without a fierce amount of damage done to his body. Before he could even move two more strikes of magic assaulted his thin, toned body, nearly turning the rogue over. It hurt, like falling down a pit of thorns! He had to stay calm as he felt the fight pushing him to his limits. It was exciting! He ginned at Nil. The little guy was tough. Shit, his skin was screaming, but he had to show off to his new buddy, right? Show off to the crowd, to Beatrix because in the end if was -- just a game.
As Beatrix assaulted the mage and thief Zidane was forced to react to her presence before he could even handle the behemoth! As her blade came down he would attempt to Distract the warrior and use her loss of focus to try and dodge before he attempted to extract the blade from her possession, again! Holding out his blade in preparation for an attack, he would instead feint! He pushed the end of the long blade up in an attempt to dislodge the Save the Queen from Beatrix's hands to try and Steal it once more before he moved to fully Counter her action with a surprise attack!
"Vivi you can take him!" He saw the mage losing his temper and tempting fate!He was achey, burny, but it was far from over. he held out his blade defensively, his body difficult to read as he was always shifting on the heels of his boots. His inhuman, blue eyes focused on the soldier, the rugged rouge trained for the stickiest of situations. The Ogre: The Ogre uses the combined magical force of the twin Mage Mashers to provide the chance to inflict the Blind status on opponents, diminishing their ability to attack, by over half, for a one post duration. This is a passive ability and has a 10% (above 90 on a d100 roll) chance of inflicting blind when the sword strikes an enemy. Jump Boost: Raises Zidane's normal, vertical jump from 4m (15ft) to 6m (20ft) when not in trance. [Passive] Distract - 2 Cooldown; 2 Post Duration When used Zidane becomes a more trying target by distracting an enemy with his words or taunting actions, lowering one's ability to attack him, by over half, for a 2 Post duration due to distracting antics. The cooldown does not begin until after the ability's duration has ended. Distract works like blind, reducing the chance a physical attack will land on the Thief. Distract can be used in conjunction with Counter to crate an effect similar to Evade and Counter Steal - 1 Cooldown Using his sneaky and speedy nature he attempts to steal his enemy's weapon. This action induces the Disable effect, making enemies unable to use their weapon's skills or abilities for a turn until the weapon is retrieved. Counter - 2 Post Duration; 4 Post Cooldown With his speed and accuracy he has the ability to counter any physical move directed at him, immediately attempting to strike the attacking opponent back with a physical attack. This ability can be used with either archetype of his weapons (Mage Mashers or The Ogre). Counter lasts for a duration of a 2 post turn. Counter can only be used twice per thread. Counter can be used in conjunction with Distract to create an effect similar to Evade and Counter which boosts the damage of this attack as it acts like a surprise attack. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Alright! This is it, coming down to the wire and Nil felt fit as a fiddle...Fit as a fiddle. Now why was that a saying? People could be fit right? They work out, get muscles, become all toned and stuff, that's fit. But how do fiddles get fit? Do they exercise when no one's looking? Is playing a fiddle the same as exercising them? What would a fit fiddle even look like? Do instruments need exercise to stay in tune? And if so wh-Nil's train of though was derailed though as he saw Vivi coming in hot to whack him with his staff. It would have been to late for him to defend himself from the dreaded bonk if it weren't for Beatrix rushing in to block. A little sigh of relief escaped the masked behemoth. He had thick skin but that didn't mean getting hit in the head felt good. "Phew, thanks! That was a close call."There was no time for Nil to catch his breath though, for even after the magical assault that blasted Zidane, the monkey-tailed mischief maker was still full of moxie! Now it was Nil's turn to return the favour for Beatrix. Juking forward, Nil interposed his Keyblade between the two fighter's, just as Zidane tried to disarm her. Of course this had the side effect of not only flinging Nil's keyblade weapon out of his hand and across the arena, but also putting him mask to face with the thief. "But the question is, can you?" Nil surged forward and attempted grapple the thief, pushing him back and taking the counter attack aimed for Beatrix in the process...Which did NOT feel pleasant if the loud growl of pain was any indication. Okay, maybe he didn't think this plan through as much as he should have. It was just sort of...Hey, do the thing, grab Zidane...now what? Well he didn't get this far by thinking this through, so why stop now? It's time to take chances! Make mistakes! Get messy! And this? This was probably a mistake. It was most certainly going to be messy. But would it be a fun mistake? One that would make this fight one to remember? Oh most certainly. It started as just a gathering of blue and white energy between the grappled thief and behemoth. "Hey, Zidane! Win or lose?...I had a blast. Rapidly the shimmering magic began to expand in a growing explosion of energy, tearing up large chunks of the ground around the two and growing wider and wider with every passing second. It almost felt like it distorted the very area around them. This was clearly one of Nil's most powerful spells if the sheer scope of the expanding eruption was any indication. If they weren't quick to move, even Vivi and Beatrix would wind up caught in the devastating point-blank Ultima! ________________ Passive: Thick Hide: A behemoth's naturally thick hide leaves physical blows weaker than normal. Physical blows that land against them have their damage category reduced by one step (Minor to None, Average to Minor, Heavy to Average, Massive to Heavy). However if the physical attack deals Piercing damage it bypasses the defense all together. If an attack of Heavy damage or above hits, its damage is reduced as normal, but 'shatters' the defense and puts the ability into a cooldown period before it reactivates, leaving them vulnerable to attacks as normal. Cooldown: 2 Posts Action 1: Block for Beatrix: One good turn deserves another! Nil blocks Zidane's Steal attempt at the cost of having his own weapon flung aside instead. Action 2: Grapple: All according to keikaku though, Nil goes to grapple Zidane at the cost of taking the painful Counter attack as well. Action 3: Ultima: Taking a page from Zidane's book 'Act First, Think Later: A Thief's Tail', Nil bear hugs tight to his friend and channels the powerful magic Ultima: An explosion of ancient magic erupts across the battlefield dealing heavy Non-Elemental Magic damage and ignoring the magical defenses of those unfortunate enough to be struck by it. Oh…oh boy. So fighting head on really didn’t go well for the small boy. General Beatrix ended up his real opponent and she blocked his strike with ease for the Behemoth boy. Vivi barely had time to start panicking before Beatrix was unleashing one of her most devastating attacks on him and Zidane wasn’t close enough this time to save him. Vivi was absolutely flattened by her attack and seeing stars from his not so safe spot on the ground.
He made a sad little choking noise as he placed each gloved palm on either side of himself and he shakily tried to lift himself from the ground. Quite battered, the small mage boy tried to gain his bearings. Find Zidane. He’d be fine if he could just see Zidane. He didn’t get a chance to see much before he was unfortunately caught in the blast of the Ultima spell. I used to know that one. was his final thought as the pain became too much and Vivi who was already in a critical state from the blow from the General finally blacked out.

Strange new worlds and the war within them. Poor Vivi hadn't been fully prepared for Beatrix to come upon him, his proximity breached swift enough that all he could do was take her attack head on. It was enough, in the end, to knock him flat onto the ground and put him into a temporary daze. That gave her opening to turn and focus her attention fully on Zidane without issue. Or at least, that's what she had assumed. But even as her sword came sliding down through the air for him, he muttered something loud enough to catch her attention. It was subtle but potent enough that her focus wavered and he was able to take advantage of her opening. His blade slid upwards, ready to catch the flourished guard of Save the Queen and extract it from her grip, much like he had before.
But it seemed Nil was far more prepared than before. His own weapon entered the fray, throwing itself into the mix just in time to take the disarm and disconnect from its owner. Before she could even fathom it, Nil had put himself between her and Zidane, taking the following attack for her even after he had been relieved of his weapon. Despite her frayed concentration, she darted away from the melee and across the battleground, following after the spiraling keyblade. As she came to the edge of the platform, she stabbed her own sword into the tile, piercing the stone easily to create an anchor. She wasn't sure if stepping out of bounds was grounds for a loss or disqualification but she wasn't going to take that chance.
She leaned over the lip of the stage, her free hand snapping out and grabbing hold of the handle of her ally's weapon, keeping it from leaving their field of battle. Her fingers wrapping around it, she used her momentum to swing herself back up onto the platform and planted both her feet firmly on it. And it was a good thing she had; immediately after she had brought herself back, Nil unleashed a pillar of power and magical energy that she had only felt in limited situations. Save the Queen proved the perfect foundation to keep her from being blown right off the stage and into the audience, her body bending down into a kneeling position to keep the wind from slamming into her at full force.
Nil is far stronger than he lets on... she thought as she looked up into the dense smoke that now filled the arena. Her sight fell upon the unmoving shadowed form that lay on the ground, right where she had left Vivi. She pulled her sword from the tile and ran across the field of battle, slipping her weapon back into her sheath as she came upon the form of the black mage. She scooped him up and continued running until she broke through the billowing veil, halting next to the edge of the stage. She carefully bent down and lay the boy onto the arena floor, resting a hand on his back to ensure she still felt his life energy. He was still there, just damaged enough to lose consciousness.
Perhaps she had pressed him too hard. If her magic wasn't still in flux, she would have taken a moment to heal him and perhaps even restore his consciousness, so that he might get a second chance. But alas, it seemed not to be. "You fought well, Master Vivi," she said softly as she stepped away from him, putting some distance between the two of them. She planted both feet on the ground once she was comfortably away from the black mage, unsheathing Save the Queen with her free hand while continuing to hold Nil's weapon in the other. The moment she saw the outcome of the attack and where her ally and competitor were, she would know her next move.

When the reverberating ring of Climbhazzard surged through the air the fur on the rogue's tail stood on end. It was an attack difficult to forget as he had taken a direct hit from it before. The pain of it was indescribable, almost like being slammed into a lamppost from the front, and back, at the same time. A focused, localized pain that tore through your whole being. Despite how tough Vivi could be, he was still just a kid! Zidane had done his best to swoop in. He wasn't trying to protect Vivi, that would have hurt the little guy's pride, but it was his job to support him! They were brothers after all!
The Holy had disrupted his focus from the Mage. The chaos of battle had made it difficult to focus on everything. Despite his agility and prowess in combat and untapped powers dwelling deep in his memories: he dare not touch them for fear of falling into that void he had seen once before. He sought to distract the maiden from her roaring strikes upon Vivi, but he had lost sight of Nil. It wasn't until his thief sword made contact with his Keyblade, sending it aside instead of the Save the Queen!
His brows furrowed, knitting deeply at the unexpected save! Before he was able to adjust his counter action had struck Nil in the stead of its intended target. He felt his body pulled into a tight embrace a he coughed out, the pain from the previous attacks catching up to him as the sturdy boy bearhugged him. The thief struggled in his grip, only to groan at the Behemoth's comment as the light surrounded them.
"Please don't tell me you're half bomb or something---" But it was much, much worse.
He could smell it, that spell. The thief struggled, but Ultima would suddenly erupt from the Keyblader and rain a terrorizing power onto the field. If the Behemoth had released him he would have fallen to the ground, but his struggling may have been enough to worm him out of it either way. Zidane crumbled to his hands and knees, his thief's sword clattering to his side. His arms were burned up with surface damage, his bones screaming from the intense pain. Hardly anything when compared to a life or death situation, but damn he was gunna be sore for a while! The thief smirked as his head hung, body releasing shuddering gasps as he struggled to remain conscious.
His clothing was singed, ripped, smudged with dirt from getting ragdolled and rolling around the arena. "...that was a pretty good one." He smirked head raising enough so he could see Nil from a part between his silken hair. His ribbon had fallen from its tie, shredded like paper under the blast of Ultima. "But can ya handle a little treasure hunt?" The rogue clenched his hand into a fist and from it he summoned ....
A treasure chest?!
From the sky fell what appeared to be a treasure chest and it would land between Nil and himself. It as rather surprising, unexpected. Could Zidane summon intimate objects or as this a simple manifestation of his power? Perhaps it was a little bit of both, but no matter what it actually was, it wasn't normal! The rogue smacked his gloved hand atop the chest and it would shake, rumble before opening and erupting with a collection of energy which the rogue had been gathering since the beginning of the fight. Thievery
"Tell Vivi not to worry, okay? I-I just need a nap" He closed his eyes, now his own body glowing before the color of his skin seemed to fade.He slid to the ground, unconscious, but not without one final Sacrifice! [Passive]Thievery - 3 Cooldown Inflicts light damage, as well as additional damage which is dependent on the number of times Steal or Mug has successfully worked on the enemy during the battle thread. 2-4 thefts equals moderate damage, 5-7 thefts equals heavy damage, 8-10 thefts becomes critical damage. The damage multiplier caps at 10.Sacrifice - N/A Cooldown Zidane sacrifices himself to restore the health of his allies and reset the highest cooldowns of their abilities. The amount of cooldown restored is measured by adding the highest cooldowns and dividing by the number of allies present. (i.e., There are four members in the group, adding up the current, highest, cooldowns (2, 2, 4, 5= 13) will restore 3 points will be rewarded to the highest cooldowns (0, 0, 0, 1). This only affects the highest cooldown, and if there are two cooldowns of similar count, only one is subtracted. Sacrifice forces Zidane to become unconscious, thus no longer able to participate in battle unless revived from his unconscious state. MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Yup! That was a mistake alright. Nil stumbled backwards after the spell had ended, Zidane had fell to his hands and knees and the behemoth himself wasn't doing much better. His ears were ringing and vision blurred, his mask was cracked and singed. He didn't realize using that spell so close would feel like that! Golly. Yet somehow through that, Zidane managed to stay conscious...Man he was so cool! Maybe after everything was over, the thief could teach him a thing or two. Especially now that he had a weapon of his own to learn with! But that would be for later, the fight wasn't over yet and it seemed like Zidane had some moxie left in him yet. The weakened thief had managed get himself up well enough to keep up with his witty banter. This actually let Nil breathe a sigh of relief. He was worried he really hurt his friend, but even after knowing the guy for a few days, Nil should know better than that. Zidane seemed like the person to have tricks not only up his sleeves but pants legs, socks, hairband, wherever he could hide em. And sure enough, as a treasure chest tumbled out of the sky and landed with a thunk between the two of them, Nil was right!...Wait, treasure chest? Well that seemed a little odd. Nil leaned down and looked over the now slightly shaking chest. "Well...it's not much of a treasure hunt if the chest is right th–" KA-BOOM! The chest opened in a violent explosion, sending the unprepared behemoth flying backwards to tumble across the arena floor. With a hefty thunk of his own, Nil landed only a few feet away from Beatrix and groaned. "I should have seen that coming." he chuckled as he got back up to his paws. Hood blown back from the explosion, Nil sighed. His mask wasn't able to survive the blast and fell away in chunks as he did, revealing his beastly visage to any who were unaware at this point. In Beatrix's hand, Nil's keyblade gave off a soft warm glow, something that neither would likely understand. When handed the blade back, Nil too would take a defensive stance, whatever it was that Zidane just did before falling unconscious, it likely meant that the fight wasn't over just yet...The behemoth's eyes trialed over to Vivi and waited. ________________ Passive: Thick Hide: A behemoth's naturally thick hide leaves physical blows weaker than normal. If an attack of Heavy damage or above hits, its damage is reduced as normal, but 'shatters' the defense and puts the ability into a cooldown period before it reactivates, leaving them vulnerable to attacks as normal. Action 1: Defensive Stance: After having his Keyblade returned to him, Nil stands ready and waits to see just what's going to happen next. No Other Actions Taken. Huh? Vivi could have sworn the pain was too much, that he'd fallen asleep. Here was flat against the arena floor albeit not in the same spot he'd been moments ago...but he felt fine, good even. Blinking in confusion he lifted himself from the tile. It took him hardly any time to process his surroundings. Zidane was laying on the floor now and their opponents still stood. Vivi wasn't exactly sure how but he knew that Zidane managed to get him back up! Knowing he just couldn't let him down, Vivi crossed his staff in front of him and he readied himself. He'd cast and cast until he couldn't anymore!
His opponents still didn't look phased...as worrisome as that was it only made the spell that much worse. He lifted his staff and the surrounding air if his opponents took on that familiar pressurization in the void like bubble of the Demi spell. Another wave of his staff sent a Sleep spell toward the general and one more wave sent a lethargic slow spell toward the Behemoth boy. It would be difficult to charge if he couldn't build up momentum from speed, right? If Vivi managed to slow even one of his opponents down he had a fighting chance.

Strange new worlds and the war within them. Zidane had stayed inside the impact zone of Nil’s Ultima spell, held close to its core by the Behemoth himself. As the light began to fade and the smoke started to dissipate, Beatrix remained standing near the edge of the battleground, both her own weapon and Nil’s held at attention in Zidane decided to start bouncing about the ring like he had before. He was a nimble and quick-witted fighter, aspects that went right along with his very being. And rarely was it that he didn’t have some trick or plan to pull out a win against his opponents. Though he had never beaten her in combat, that hadn’t stopped him from facing her three times without pause or retreat. And that had been before his travels through Gaia and Terra.
But as the thickest of the smog began to clear, she could see Zidane on his hands and knees. The attack had done its work and he looked worse for wear, nearly as bad as Vivi had after lying in the presence of the blast. She kept her gaze trained on him as he spoke to Nil, in words that were far too quiet for her to hear. Curiously, she took a step forward, looking to put herself within listening distance of the conversation. She didn’t even feel or see the Keyblade glowing in her hand, its supernatural energy giving her a hint that would go unseen. Before she could fully commit to walking over to the two remaining fighters, a treasure chest materialized out of the air and fell onto the tournament grounds. It landed between Nil and Zidane, as if the sky itself was rewarding the two of them for their combative display.
Instead, it was yet another attack from the thief. The chest flipped open and energy exploded out from its core, blowing the Behemoth off his feet and skidding over the tiles. He came to a stop next to Beatrix, more entertained by the sudden blow back than upset – even if it had knocked him around some. “Probably,” she answered him with a soft smile, turning her arm to him so that he could take his keyblade back in hand. “Zidane has always had a penchant for cheap but effective techniques.”On that point, the thief’s final words before the color drained from his skin seemed to foretell yet another bout in this match.
Her eye snapped over to the sudden movement that was coming from the black mage. Vivi rose from his spot, seemingly refreshed from his momentary nap and ready to fight once more. “Good form, Zidane,” she complimented the man, willing to do so when she knew he couldn’t hear her. Otherwise he would never let her live it down. Vivi didn’t wait long to reengage the two of them, his staff waving through the air and warping it to his heart’s content. The Demi spell pressed down on her, now bringing her to a knee as the fatigue of the battle began to truly come to the surface. This left her open to get hit by his next spell; a comforting, almost warming wave that filled her body with exhaustion and dunked her mind in a pool of wanton sleep. A hand came down onto the tiled surface, the only sanctuary keeping her from dozing off right there and then. She gave her head a quick jerk, snapping it from side to side to clear away the fog that attempted to weigh her down.
Vivi had come out swinging, despite only having just come back from unconsciousness. He was clearly ready to fight, even if he was still a bit sluggish. Bad enough that he was facing a two on one situation. Beatrix’s free hand curled into a fist as she twisted her head to look at Nil, seeing the effect of the Slow spell weighing him down like invisible anchors. Her hand unfurled itself and waved through the air at him, a gust of magical wind emerging from her palm in the direction of her ally. It would take hold of the effective spell and pull it into the air, rendering it null as the Esuna carried it away. Her hand continued to weave in front of her, wrapping the Behemoth in a cloak of magical shielding that would help him Reflect back some of the damage that was surely coming their way. Finally glittering white magic expelled itself from her fingers and surged through the air at both Nil and Vivi. Both of them would feel refreshed, the Cura mending their aches and pains. The Alexandrian General got back to her feet, swinging Save the Queen once in front of her before taking it in both hands. She looked refreshed as well, even if the scrapes on her arms and legs were still present on her skin. Now all three of them were ready for continued combat.

He -- couldn't know. He couldn't know how it would turn out for Vivi. In truth Zidane had always trusted the kid to be capable of turning out fine. While, in the early throes of an adventure they didn't know they would have, Steiner and the others had always praised his magic, the power he carried in his tiny body. While Zidane concurred Vivi was a powerful opponent it would mean shit if he didn't have the courage to wield it. Sometimes his wishy washy worry did right to annoy him, but he never blamed Vivi, who was seeing the world for the first time, much like Dagger. He had to be patient, and show them just like Baku had shown him.As they traveled Vivi became more confident in himself and more honed with his skills. And he made sure that all the way through he always encouraged him to do what he felt was right. He supported the little guy just like he supported Dagger, or even Eiko. Despite all the belligerence he would show Baku that man knew just how dangerous the world was and how, in a moment's notice it would chew you up and spit you out again! You couldn't be scared, or you would end up alone out there, unconscious with no one to help you. But it was okay because Vivi was always by his side. He was smart, but over all strong in a way he had never been. He depended on his friends and was comforted by the knowledge he did his best to support Vivi yet still. He knew he could depend on him to keep fighting. Win or lose, right little guy? Gotta give it your all.....ah, I can't speak anymore.
....you okay....?He felt the cold touch of the arena ground on his cheek as his consciousness slowly faded away. The sound of the crowd was a dull murmur in the back of his mind. His limbs were heavy and his mind following the path into dreams. Lids were swollen with pressure from the adrenaline of combat, his vision blurry. He could see it though, before it all went black: Vivi rousing from his state. A weak smirk pulled back on his features as he fell completely unconscious.
It was a fun fight... but he's gunna be damn sore when he wakes up! MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. So Zidane used his last bit of energy to get Vivi back up on his feet? That was super sweet of him! The issue now was that there wasn't much one could do to defend against magic. That much was proven when once again the nauseating feeling of Vivi's spell brought Nil down to a knee again. That battle high from earlier was starting to wear off and the fatigue was really starting to set in. Even before another spell was flung his way, he was feeling drained. Blowing yourself up can do that to a guy. But when the spell hit it made it that much worse. It felt like even getting up to stand was a chore. Like swimming through molasses in winter. Still though he managed to find his footing and stand tall. If he to fight like this he could, but it wouldn't be easy that's for sure...Nil had to wonder though, if one trained like this long enough? Would it make you faster than normal after you got so used to it? Either way it seemed that Beatrix had his back once again as he felt that metaphysical weight lifted off of him, and not long after the feeling of his previously growing aches and pains soothed away. With his renewed energy, Nil gripped his keyblade tight and faced his opponent...before glancing over at the unconscious Zidane on the ground and the fight seemed...a little less fair at this point. Nil would like to hope what he attempts next doesn't backfire on him. Without wasting time, the behemoth rushed forward towards Vivi and...Skid to a stop. Rather than a swing of his keyblade, Nil offered a gloved hand and a nervous little smile. "Hey, hi. Uhm...Sorry about all the knocking you up into the air and stuff uh. So...And I hope this isn't going to sound dumb or insulting to you or something, but...I think we should call the fight here for now. Let the judges sort things out? That's how it works right?" Nil glanced over again at Zidane and rubbed the back of his head with his other hand. "Zidane's pretty hurt and you're obviously super strong like him but...it seems unfair to make you go up against the both of us." Nil didn't know Vivi personally, but the mage seemed like a nice guy and hopefully wouldn't say 'No' by way of a fireball to the face. A 'No' was fine, singed whiskers not so much. ________________ No Actions Taken Cooldowns: Holy: 0 Posts Remaining, Ready Next Post Ultima: 2 Posts Remaining MADE BY VEL OF GS

His attempts to slow down his opponents almost seemed like they would work but he should have expected nothing less than the ability to stave off magic like that from General Beatrix. Vivi was almost certain that he hadn't even seen everything that she was capable of. She was terrifying as she was admirable. That someone that powerful could still be very nice was hard to wrap his mind around. The behemoth boy began a rush right toward him and Vivi's hands clenched around his staff and he closed his eyes tightly bracing himself for an impact that he just knew was going to hurt. When none came he blinked in confusion and looked up at the much taller opponent from beneath an overly large hat brim.
The behemoth boy greeted him and Vivi could only blink in bewilderment in silent response. Nil pointed out that perhaps it was a bit unfair for Vivi to have to face both Beatrix and Nil on his own and Vivi could certainly admit that the idea was an extremely intimidating one...but as his eyes wandered to Zidane over there on the arena floor who'd clearly done something to bring Vivi back up to fighting form at the sacrifice of himself, he was beginning to understand some of what the blonde man was trying to teach him. Vivi held his staff against himself and took some very deliberate but careful steps away from Nil.
"I don't think you'd have said the same thing if it were Zidane standing here." Vivi pointed out though there was no smugness or anything of that nature in his voice. "Even if only one man stands, the fight goes on." Vivi thought hard about what Zidane would say to him. "I might lose. But it's okay. I gotta give my all." Afterall, he knew that that was Zidane was trusting him to do. As long as Vivi kept trying, Zidane wouldn't be upset with him for losing. Before his submission to the continuing battle could be taken advantage of, Vivi closed his eyes and he Focused hard before he raised his staff in the air and he called down the Thundara spell with all the might of a Thundaga aiming the spell right for the general. He followed it right after with his best Fira spell sending a rushing fire-ball right at her.
