Dungeons and Nobodies An Organization XIII Spoof It was an ordinary Saturday night in the World that Never Was and the Organization decided to order (several very different) pizzas and play a game together. This team building initiative was spearhead by Zexion who is leading the game as it's host. This week:Dungeons and Dragons. The rules are as follows.1. Anyone interested in playing chooses an unclaimed organization member. I'll narrate the scenario as Zexion, the Dungeon Master.
2. Everyone else will be an organization member playing as a D&D Character. Choose a class for that character based on what you think the organization member would choose. But no doubles!
3. You may roll once per post to attempt your action. Use a d20. High is good, low is bad. Roll either a 20 or a 1 and Zexion will add a little extra to spotlight your critical success or failure.
4. You can do anything that fits the archtype of the class. For example you can swing your a sword, due a maneuver if you played a fighter. Keep in mind that you get 2 weak abilities, 1 moderate ability, and 1 powerful but heavily limited ability. If you're stuck repeating the same actions over and over then you're not role-playing right.
5. You are organization members, act like them. Making fun of each other is the point. Just don't throw the die too hard. The enchantments on the table prevent the die from flying off the board but don't test them. Current PlayersDungeon as Zexion as the Dungeon Master. Squall as Lexeaus as a Barbarian. Rikitty as Xaldin as a Monk. Metus as Luxord as a Sorcerer. Lana as Larxene as a Cleric. Lnyx as Xion as a Fighter. Malachi as Saix as a Bahsahkah. Terrable as Xigbar as a Ranger. Alviss as Demyx as a Bard. Tapir as Roxas as a Paladin.
(Yes, the Even is playing as Xaldin!)
Available Org Members Remaining: Xemnas Vexen Axel Marluxia
Let's Begin!
"You are all on a quest to save the seven princes of heart from their dubious captors. First you must cross the Deep Jungle to find Sir James and defeat the deranged keeper of the gorillas, Tarzina.
At the border of the forest and coast of the ocean you are safe. It is noon, roughly guessing based on the position of the sun. What will you do, brave adventurers." Zexion held a deadpan tone when he spoke. This necessary exercise of teamwork was something that he thought of on his own. It took some beguiling to get the head of the organization to agree but it was enough in the end.
Standing over the table below the thrones, the nobody flipped a page in his Lexicon. He had game notes in several sections. There was no way anyone was getting a peek on the things to come.
The blue-silver haired wunderkin snapped a slice of plain cheese. It was the least disgusting of the pizzas in appearance. But after one bite he was convinced that the data backing it's positive effect on the exercise was wrong. It had to be. How could this odorous and greasy bread be any good for this purpose?! Dropping it on a paper plate, he waited for the responses of his fellow members. They all had a magic twenty sided die to roll. If they tossed it on the table correctly then it would return to them after the Dungeon Master waved his had in a particular way.
"No, you may not kill each other to hoard the loot at the end."

"I think a better question would be why would we want to save the princesses of heart?" The nymph stated rather bluntly. This was so stupid. Why would they even think this was fun. Of course this was something that she and lex had to have come up with. "Is this what you do down in the basement all day? Play some board games? And why am I cleric? I should be something more fun like a rouge." She complained as she slung her legs over the side of the chair she was sitting in. But, she was sure that the group was going to lecture her about being a debby downer. But, she didn't care. She was told that she needed to do this by the boss. Some sort of team building that they thought she needed to learn to be better support.
"So what kind of powers do I have again?" She asked as she flipped through the notes that she had been given. She had no idea what any of this crap meant. This was not her style. Hopefully Marluxia would join them. At least she could then plot what they could do to make things more.... interesting.
The nobody had a small container of chicken sat next to her that she was enjoying between flipping through the pages. She really had no idea what she was doing, but she was going to make their lives a living hell for this. They would all pay for their mistakes of trapping her into this. "If it's really required we all be here. Shouldn't EVERYONE be here, bookworm?" She complained again with her mouth full.

"Is this seriously what you do instead of working, Zexion? Fantasizing about saving princes of Heart?"Saix stomped down the stairs with a plate of steak in one hand and a folder that had his work in the other. Just steak, seasoned and cooked rare, nothing else. He found his invitation to this game of Zexion's via an envelope that had been slipped under his door. Of course, he had been busy getting together the jobs for the next month so he may have accidentally stepped on the invitation several times. He looked down at Larxene with some manner of contempt before sitting on the left side of the table in the middle. He put his plate down, opened the folder and put his character sheet down. Then he continued his work on next month's schedule, eating his steak as he did so. "For the record, I'm only here to make sure this game doesn't go on too long. You all do have work the next day, you know. Kingdom Hearts isn't going to complete itself." Saix said, continuing to finish up his work as he waited for the others to show up. Ever since Xion had been activated, there was a rush to get Kingdom Hearts completed. Or at least, there should've been. Lately, the Organization seemed more concerned with slacking off than anything else. Perhaps they thought that now they had two Keybladers, they didn't need to work as hard. How annoying.

Xigbar"As if! Shouldn't we be kidnapping them instead?"
Xigbar appeared through his normal cocoon like swirl of dark energy. He walked over to a seat next to Saix and turned a chair around. There was the smell of melted cheese and greasy meats from the boxes in the center of the table. It wasn't hard for him to decide it sounded appetizing and he snatched a gooey slice of pepperoni pizza as he sat down in the chair backwards.
He couldn't quite understand the gist of this game. How was rolling a funky twenty sided die supposed to accomplish anything? "Hey, Zexion, what do all these numbers mean? Is an 8 charisma good? I'll bet its one of those games where you wanna score the lowest." The little book nerd found this game fun, but Xigbar just couldn't see it. Xigbar peeked over Saix's shoulder to peek at his sheet. If that were the case, Saix was playing some weak, smart guy. He could see that!
Xigbar took a large bite of the pizza and pulled back, as the cheese stretched the distance. Eventually, each small string snapped and hang from the steaming delight as Xigbar opened his mouth again, still full of food. "Do I...like...search the woods for the...princesses? I'll bet I..find one first." He rolled his weird twenty sided die along the table. whG6R22i1-20

Xaldin crossed his arms, looking down at the sheet in front of him. He recalled Ienzo speaking of this game ages ago, but he couldn't seem to recall much... Glancing at the skunk haired man across from him, the dread locked male shook his head with a sigh. "Perhaps if you used your ears as much as your tongue, you would know what to do." he retorted calmly, "I decide to make a path through the foliage." He reached out a large hand, letting the silver swirled d20 roll out of his palm and across the table. gyGJGcmf1-201-20

Lexaeus had a great respect for Zexion, he was in fact his most respected ally in the Organization other than Xemnas of course. So when Zexion had these strange ideas to do weird things in their down time, Lex was never one to not say yes to them. He sat in his chair and read the sheet that Zexion had made from him, it seemed as though he was playing a Barbarian... Quite a strong class he liked that but something that really made him peeved was how low his intelligence stat was.
Was this some kind of joke at his intelligence? Was this something that Zexion though of him, well if that was the case he wasn't going to care... Not that he cared much for the game anyway, he was going to play this character like he was supposed to a blubbering idiot who could destroy anyone with his little finger.
Lex raised his head to look at the other members who were playing, none of them seemed to know what they were doing either. But when Xigbar joined the game things started to happen, his eyes watched as the magical die rolled along and Xigbar rolled an 8, less than average... Then Xaldin, who Lex had sat next to seemed to have more of an idea of how the game went. When he rolled, he rolled a 10.. Average. Nodding silently he turned to Zexion and shrugged.
"I'll follow Xaldin." That was it, he sat back in his chair and stared at Zexion waiting for the explanation, were they going to find the Princesses of Heart? Or were they going to die and this game would be over?

"It's the seven princes of heart. You would know that if you paid attention, number XII." The short nobody said, snapping back at her. He ignored the rest of what she asked, knowing well that she would prolong her complaining without stop. If she needed to know her own character then she just had to read the sheet. Clerics could heal and tank damage and deal out a fair amount.
"Xaldin. With that roll of ten you are able to efficiently make your way through thick bamboo and clear a path for the others to follow. Years of practice make your arms as effective as steel clubs, the flora is no match for your disciplined form. Lexeaus is behind you, assisting the effort by moving fallen debris so that others may trail behind." He flipped a page, scanning it then raising his eyes to the ranger of the party.
"Xigbar, you can barely see anything in the forest but you spot several snapped branches in the canopy that go for a quarter mile then vanish in the density of giant leaves. There be gorillas, or rather, there had been gorillas." He said, the same cold tone as before. There was a rehearsal behind his words, certain phrases that seemed practiced. While impossible to predict everything, it was apparent that Zexion prepared a serious amount of content for this exercise.
"The sounds of a hundred beating drums grows louder as many heavy creatures parade around the jungle. You all can hear the calls of elephants, they're distressed. Or perhaps they are rallied. What will you do if a battle were to happen here where you are all hindered by the density of the wide tree trunk and bamboo thicket? Think carefully, you could be ambushed at any time."

Luxord sat back as he was playing with the dice in the palm of his hands. Studying them, he let them roll around and dropped them into the other hand while moving them around quite a bit. He was vaguely catching what was being said, something about princes, forest, and sea. it had been a blast to work out the character sheet, see what fate would bring him. He had pleasantly chosen a class and an archetype that'd allow him some variety of rolls and once he'd cast the die, he was certain it'd be to find the outcome. The gambler was playing a wild magic sorcerer and while the odds weren't really that good, it did allow him to see how well his luck stacked. It was just a game after all.
Changing his focus from the dice to the game, it seemed Larxene was just complaining again, Luxord saw nothing he wouldn't have expected. Truly, he wondered if he should let things play out with how Lexaeus and Xaldin were moving forward. It seemed Xigbar had found a trail for the gorilla's to have gone through. So that was perhaps a better position, thinking on what his sorcerer would best do, perhaps he'd have Xaldin and Lexaeus shift their track to where Xigbar was looking.
As Zexion continued the story on calls of elephants, Luxord let his chair move back as he grabbed his sheet and looked over the notes. He could consider a spell, but if there was no danger yet, it'd be an useless effort. "We can climb trees, right? I have a rope and a grappling hook," he said towards Zexion, "then we can get our bearings better. See what fate has in store for us, but there's fun to be had in the not knowing..." Luxord also pondered on just torching the entire jungle, see the outcome of that, but left that un-uttered.
"I take my rope with grappling hook and throw it to create an easier way up for... whoever is better at climbing than I am," he said in reflection to his Climb skill. He then rolled his die. "May the outcome be worth the wager," he said as he watched the roll.

Saix sighed as he finished up what Vexen's duties would be. Zexion seemed to be getting into this at least... too into this, to be honest. The Luna Diviner ignored Xigbar peeking at his sheet. As long as he didn't scribble on it, Saix couldn't care less. Besides, he had the thing in a plastic sleeve, for just such an emergency. Saix moved on to Xaldin as Zexion mentioned that they were moving through the jungle and that they might have to worry about ambushes. Saix thought and looked at his sheet. He had something for this, didn't he? Ah yes. "Zexion, I use my Bestial Nature to sense for any potential hostile animals in the area. I then stick with Xaldin and Lexaeus and help them with brush while watching their backs. That should be sufficient for now. Also, Xaldin, you're heading over to Neverland next week for recon." Saix continued writing notes for work. As long as the Organization Members were in one place, this could be a good way to distribute assignments. Then Saix realized he needed to do something else. Saix looked at his perception score and nodded before picking up his own 20-sided die. "Right, my perception score and my Bestial Nature should be enough of a bonus to find any potential ambushes." Saix then rolled the die. JG|YmLbB1-20"Is this good?" 1-20

With a nod, Xaldin uncrossed his arms, resting one elbow on the table to rest his head against. "I decide to look around, determine what I could sweep away with a staff." Again, he let the 20 sided die roll from his hand, glancing at his character sheet. YG2LVg|x1-20"In combination with my perception, is there anything I may see that would hinder us further?" he asked calmly, nodding in understanding to Saix. 1-20

Larxene's eyes flashed up from her paper sheet when she heard others thinking the same thing that she was. "Exactly what I just said.." She grumbled from behind her sheet as she looked it over. What the hell was she supposed to do with this. It really didn't make all that much sense to her. It confused the living hell out of her. Saix did not seem to want to play along either. At least she wasn't alone in that aspect.
Xigbar appeared and asked a million questions before rolling a dice and getting an 8, asking if he won. Larxene chortled a bit from her position on the chair, legs over the armrests. She pulled another piece of chicken out of the bucket and started the next piece. She didn't care what anyone else thought. Xaldin rolled a higher number and they started the game.
That's when the bookworm corrected them all. "OH.... Princes. I'm sorry. I didn't know you swung that way, Zexion. Is Lex okay with this?" She smirked cruelly from behind her paper. She liked to get Zexion's boxers in a twist. It was more fun to work the boy up. Especially since none of them had any romantic tendencies. They would have to have feelings and emotions first. "I guess I'll just walk with them. Let them do all the hard work and heavy lifting." She shrugged.
Luxord entered the fray, deciding to roll his die. He was definitely one to join in for a gamble. She didn't mind him all too much. He just took too many risks for her comfort. The Saix decided to play along and she rolled her eyes with a small vocal noise to show she was annoyed at this whole thing. "....I'm not rolling to walk, by the way." She commented before throwing the dice she had directly at Saix's head. "That's for skipping my turn...."

Demyx had been there from the start as he loved the thought of just kicking back and doing nothing as he ate this awesome pizza that Zexion had spread out for them. Though he wasn't usually the type to think too hard he did wonder how Zexion got his hands on food like this with The World That Never Was being almost entirely empty. Demyx eventually stopped eating the pizza then looked at his character sheet. "Ah man! I was hoping that the Bard class was easy so I didn't have to do anything! With all this stuff on the sheet here it looks more like something you would do Luxord." Demyx pointed out that a lot of the stuff on his sheet was mostly intellect related and had a few abilities that reminded him of Luxord like the 'sleight of hand' one that got his attention. "I'll just stay put for now and watch for any creatures from behind." Demyx would say before leaning back and placing his feet on the game table. "Dude I was hoping for something easier. I guess I should have picked Summoner or something." Demyx would say whining about his own choice for the game Zexion had set out for them.

Xion sat quietly, silent both because she would be much more comfortable with Axel or Roxas here with her, but neither had showed up yet; she hoped that they would come along soon, because she felt rather out of place gathered with the others. She observed the setup and actions with close attention, trying to absorb everything she could about this endeavor, as she had not really had much participation or experience with this type of...game?
For that was certainly what it seemed to be, yet Zexion was very serious about the whole thing, so she presumed that this was indeed a serious matter, but a game all the same. She listened to the 'quest' and role description, and frowned slightly as she stared at her own sheet, much like the others', except that hers contained the role of Fighter. This she thought she could do, being that she did indeed carry a Keyblade and fought Heartless; everyday missions, right? So perhaps this would be okay, not as strange as she had worried. Still, her hesitation was clear as she hoped she wouldn't mess up. She reeeeally wished Axe was here...he probably understood how this worked and she wouldn't feel out of place asking him quietly for advice. But he wasn't here...so now what?
She rolls her die with obvious uncertainty...and forgets to declare an action.

Lexaeus took in everything that Zexion was saying, staring at the table as if he was seeing his character walking through the jungle. He would then listen to what the other members of the Org planned on doing with their characters and upon hearing Luxord speak up and start mentioning what he was going to do, Lex perked up and sat forward in his chair. "Princes of Heart.. That makes more sense than the princesses..." He said softly to himself as he took the dice. When Larxene spoke up he eyes darted to her and narrowed, the newer members of the organization had no respect for their elders and Larxene had a mouth on her that made it even worse.
Exhaling sharply through his nose he turned to the table and gripped the dice tighter. "I'm going to take out my Battle Axe and move towards the noise, I'm going to slice my way through this jungle." He rolled the dice, practically throwing it at the table.

"Saix and Xaldin, you're both doing the same thing. However, it is Saix's bestial affinity that gives him the edge. On top of an advantage, his is the superior roll. A result of 16 alerts the Berserker of the party to the ambush ahead. The animals are waiting for you all to stumble into a choke point created by none other than Tarzina."
Sighing and flipping several pages forward, Zexion considered that this ambush would no longer be an ambush. He expected for nearly everyone would come to act during battle, an ambush to push them into the correct mode of thinking. Improvisation would be needed to surprise them. Of course, he was prepared for this situation; however, it was only minimally.
"Luxord, you secure a line to the canopy. Anyone willing, could ascend to a higher position. Perhaps someone with a better eye for it." Anyone paying attention would know that number six was referring to Xigbar who was not acting in this round. With that, the difficulty of the encounter would be far lower. Zexion wondered if he should reward their tactical thinking or twist the situation against them. A tough call, one that he would make later.
Larxene wasn't rolling but she wasn't doing anything important either, a representation of her as an organization member. It wouldn't be him who put her in place. No, that was the responsibility of another party member of higher ranking.
He then scoffed at Demyx. It seems that the lethargic number nine didn't see any resemblance to himself with his character, a boy with a sitar playing a boy with a guitar. Summoner was no less difficult to handle. Bards can do many things they could not, a key aspect of the class. Zexion then made it clear to the lazy one, pick one of their abilities and make yourself useful to the party.
"Xion, speak up. If you don't declare your action then you won't achieve anything. At the very least, your roll prevents you from stumbling on your own two feet." She rolled a five which wasn't much of anything anyway.
"Lexeaus, you clear your way forward with ease. Bamboo falls in your path as you continue where Xaldin left off. However, it is in your better interests to stay with the party. You don't know what is yet to come." With that, Zexion flipped another two pages.
"The jungle quiets down. In the distance birds flock from tree tops and the earth trembles from that direction. The elephants are coming from the north, where you are heading. What will you do?"
