How'd you find us?:
Aqua
Nickname:
Master Aqua
Age:
25-30? Looks about 20
Gender:
Female
Job:
Keyblade Wielder
Side:
Light
Family:
Eraqus (After being trained by him she saw him as a father figure) [Deceased]
Ventus and Terra (basically siblings because of how much time they all spent together)
Sora: The young boy she saw with the potential and kindness to be a great master, but Aqua didn’t want to force upon him the burdens of a user and told him to protect his friend who had been blessed already.
Riku: The boy blessed by Terra who had fierce eyes. She could sense a slight darkness in him that lingered just like her friend so she put the duty of protecting him to his friend Sora
Kairi: a young girl whom she protected in Radiant Garden. This girl unknowingly to Aqua touched her keyblade making her a future light to the world. Aqua recognized the light in the girl’s heart though and cast a spell on her to help her protect people just as she had done herself.
Personality:
Aqua can be described as a river. Calm and collected she always goes for her goals at a steady pace. Never one to waver from her convictions she will keep a level head and press on. That being said she can sometimes change her course with her emotions to some extent especially when it involves her friends. If something were to happen to them she will do whatever it is in her power to keep them from harm or even from the darkness. She has felt this pain before and doesn’t want it to happen again.
A motherly type she is protective of those she calls dear and will do her best to help and serve those around her. Not one to be partially stern she won’t deny people their freedom if she can help it, but if she is ordered from someone she respects as a leader she will put aside her friendships to try and follow orders. Though a bond forged with Aqua will be forever lasting and even if the person may end up being swallowed whole by the darkness and cause harm to Aqua she will always be beside the person for who they were and not who they are now. She will do anything within her power to bring back the friend she knew and stop them from being the person she knows they aren’t.
Aqua is a mage at heart one who will study vast tomes to learn new and interesting spells. So her pursuit of knowledge is one she prides herself over. So it’s only natural of her to develop a yearning to go to different worlds. She knows different places and yield different teachings and the chance to study the things different worlds have to offer appeases her heart. She can become a bit over excited from finding new tomes of knowledge, but she knows she must keep appearances up for a master. So despite her inner giddiness she puts on a straight face.
History:
Aqua was always a studious girl. Her parents were the types to make sure Aqua never failed in her studies during her schooling years, but Aqua wanted more. She always yearned not for power or glory, but to be able to study the worlds and not be confined to the pages of the books her parents found her. It was this drive that helped her study to become a keyblade wielder. She learned a lot from some of the book she read about them, granted the knowledge was quite limited, but she knew she couldn’t just choose to be a master she had to be chosen. Her heart had to be in the right place and after a few years she gained the ability to manifest a keyblade. She was so excited when this happened that she showed her parents and they were so proud of her.
Thus began her training to be a master. Under Eraqus’ teaching she would learn everything she would need to be a master. He had told her it would be a long process and she may not even be made into a master under his training if her heart wasn’t in it. She accepted this and despite having to share her training sessions with a boy by the name of Terra she worked hard to be the best she could be for her master. The two students became good friends while in their training and the duo even became a trio when another boy joined their group. This boy, whose name was Ventus, wasn’t to be studying at the same speed as them since he seemed to be recovering from some issues that Aqua wasn’t explained to about. So his teaching would be at a slower pace than theirs, but it didn’t stop Aqua for caring for the boy in his times of need. She began to see the boy as a sort of younger brother and would keep an eye on him during his sleeping periods to make sure he never would cry.
After some time it was time for the mark of mastery exam for Aqua and Terra. It would just be a simple exercise which somehow got a bit out of hand. The balls of light they were to fight became ridged in their movements and even would attack back slightly. With the help of Ventus they were able to defeat the task at hand and then it was time for the second part of the exam a duel between Aqua and Terra. The fight didn’t really have a true ending with a clear winner it was just a sparring match really, but there was enough for their master to determine Aqua capable of being the one to become a master. She was happy, but felt unsure of her master’s decision of not making Terra a master also, but his explanation on his darkness making a slight appearance in the fight did make sense. None the less she vowed in her head she would help Terra concur his darkness later after the meeting Eraqus requested of Aqua.
The meeting with Eraqus was a warning to keep an eye on both Ventus and Terra to make sure they wouldn’t get into any trouble. Aqua agreed to this as protecting her friends was on the top of her list of things she would do as a master. After the meeting their lives changed so quickly and rapidly. Terra had run off to figure himself out and overcome his darkness and Ventus left for reasons Aqua didn’t know. Then it began Aqua’s journey across the worlds searching for her friends and so many events happened. She learned about the paths both her friends went and though she was disappointed in the choices they all made she couldn’t help and feel they would make the final right choice and once again go back to their home world.
The first world Aqua found herself visiting was the Castle of Dreams. She appeared in what looked like the foyer of a castle and watched as a woman ran out of the castle. Not wanting to meddle in the affairs of the world she let the woman pass without much thought. What she didn’t realize is she would be interfering with the world when she sensed a darkness that threated the world. Following the darkness she found herself protecting the girl from her own step-mother and step-siblings. In doing so she found herself facing an unversed in the shape of a carriage, but after defeating it she watched as Cinderella and the prince danced the night away happily. She left the Castle of dreams and headed for the next world.
While in the Dwarf Woodlands Aqua found her adventure her quite short and fairly uneventful, though it did start with her witnessing some dwarfs mourning the death of a pale woman with ebony hair within a glass coffin. Tasked with the objective, from the dwarves, to seek help from the castle she began her journey. She met a young prince whom was pondering the whereabouts of a girl whom he had met recently. Aqua wondering if the girl in question was the one whom she just saw in the coffin she pointed him in the direction of the woods for him to find her. Afterwards she headed into the castle where she found herself sucked into a mirror to fight the evil within it. Once she had defeated him she was released from the mirror and she was off back to the woods to see if the prince had found the girl in the coffin. When she arrived she watched him kiss the lifeless body and reanimate her. Aqua smiles at the happy ending the two have and then makes her way to her next destination.
When she arrived in the Enchanted Dominion Aqua finally found Ventus and was going to be able to bring him home, but what she was overhearing concerned her. She outright defied Maleficent and told Ventus to have faith that Terra couldn’t have stolen Aurora’s heart. Ventus runs off leaving Aqua to deal with Maleficent which ended up with Aqua being thrown into the dungeon of her castle. There she met Prince Phillip whom she helped escape to reunite him with Aurora. Upon reaching the bridge leading to Aurora’s kingdom they were intercepted by Maleficent whom turned into a dragon. They fought valiantly, but it wasn’t until the three fairies enchanted Phillip’s sword which he used to slay the dragon. Once the two were reunited Aqua made her way to the next world.
Upon arriving to Radiant Garden Aqua has a mission to find Terra to ask him personally if he indeed took Aurora’s heart. She got some directions from a duck like Scottish man and made her way to the castle. At the castle she finds a young girl being attacked by unversed and with the help of King Mickey the two of them protect the girl. After the battle King Mickey is sent away to another world and Aqua is given a gift of flowers from the young girl. Sensing the strong light within Kairi’s heart Aqua places a protection upon the girl should she be threatened by the darkness. After watching the girl leave with her grandmother Aqua sees a giant unversed flying in the air and makes haste towards it to defeat it. Upon arriving in the area it was heading to she runs into both Terra and Ventus and the three of them fight the creature together. Ventus then shares with the other two tickets to a place called Disney Town. Aqua is delighted at first, but when Ventus talks about his journey so far things turn south. Terra tells Ventus to go back to their home with Aqua causing her to worry that maybe Terra has changed and that he might have taken Aurora’s heart. She wants to have faith in him, but ends up asking if he is straying too far from the light which seemed to insult him. He ended up lashing back at her calling her Eraqus’ spy and causing Ventus to claim she has changed. Feeling dejected and confused she heads back to the town square where she is greeted by a boy clad in black and red. After a fierce battle with the man he runs off making her feel even more conflicted on what’s going on between her two dear friends. As she begins to leave this world she is confronted be Ventus asking to go with her but she tells him no and that he should go back home. Leaving him behind she heads off to her next world in search of Terra.
When she arrives at Disney Town she is greeted by a man knows as Captain Justice whom is looking for votes in some sort of competition. Since Aqua was new to the town she didn’t understand at first, but when another town resident came running yelling about some creatures messing around one of the game courts Aqua is quick to check it out. She finds its and unversed and after beating she is told by the previous townsman that she had his vote for the competition. After the awards ceremony she leaves the quite peaceful town and heads to the next part of her journey.
This next world was one of competition and strength something Aqua wasn’t the most adept at. She was a magician so she was always fighting at a distance so she didn’t feel too much at home here. Still when she found out Terra could possibly in the tournament she had to enter herself. She made it to the finals of her block of the tournament and was against a young boy whom seemed to idolize Terra. She defeated the boy though and was ready to face Terra only to end up facing Hades and an Ice Titan. She defeated them and was subsequently asked on a date by the boy she had defeated previously. She declines the offer though the boy somewhat ignores it and says they will once he becomes a full-fledged hero. As she watched the young man run off she began to think of Ventus and how he wanted to go on his journey. Feeling a bit bad about telling him to return home she made her way to the next world hoping maybe she could figure out a way to apologize for him.
She finds herself in the most strangest of places for the next world. It takes the form of what looks like a vehicle which is a bit fascinating to the young master. When she docks said ship she is greeted by Unversed and upon defeating them is recruited by a grey alien like woman to locate and capture two escaped criminals. With her strong sense of following the rules she took it upon herself to take on the duty, but it wasn’t until she found Experiment 626 that she realized her actions may have been wrong. This was confirmed when Gantu attempted to eliminate Aqua along with Experiment 626. After defeating Gantu the woman whom gave her the task congratulated her on locating the two escaped criminals. Aqua felt that 626 had a gentle spirit about him and asked the woman if she could go light on his sentence before heading again to another world.
Upon arriving Neverland Aqua finds herself a map leading to a destination. A bit confused at first she wonders what it is for, but she gets her answer in the form of a boy in green and a fairy. She was suddenly the leader of a rag-tag bunch of boys in search for treasure that was stolen by a pirate. This was certainly a more fun adventure than some of her other experiences in the worlds and it proved even more heartfelt when she found Ventus’ toy sword in the treasure chest. He had grown and no longer needed the blade and it made Aqua feel emotional. It felt like years had gone by since they left their world and here she was always two steps behind them constantly trying to catch up. Would they ever live the life they had before the mark of mastery exam? She missed those days watching the stars at night together with the two boys. Her thoughts are interrupted as the presence of another catches her attention and its Vanitas again. She braces herself for a battle and watches as he breaks Ventus’ wooden sword and attacks in anger. She defeats him, but ends up unconscious after the battle. When she is awoken she reminisces about Terra and Ventus before leaving the world for her next destination.
Her next world she visits is a brief one as she finds herself on a small island. She finds these two boys whom share a friendship that reminds her heavily of Ventus and Terra. It puts a smile on her face and she could sense a strong light within the boy known as Sora. Wanting to help the children she deciders she wants to pass down the powers of a keyblade master to the young child only to notice the boy by the name of Riku has already been given the power by Terra. With the strained relationship the three of them share now she decides to forgo giving the powers to Sora in order to protect their relationship. She does insist on the boy to protect Riku should he ever succumb to darkness. After the boy agrees Aqua leads her way from the world to the next part of her journey.
On her way to the next world she finds the mouse man, known as King Mickey, unconscious in the lanes between. She takes him to a place known as the Mysterious Tower where she meets Yen Sid. She is then told by the master that Eraques has been defeated by Terra to which she outright denies it. Aqua doesn’t believe Terra could ever fall so deep into the darkness he would kill their master. There had to be more to this claim so she resolves to ask him herself. With a ward of caution from Master yen Sid she heads off to the keyblade graveyard to confront her friend once and for all.
They met for a final time in the keyblade graveyard and Aqua never felt so far apart from both Ventus and Terra. They had changed and everything seemed to be orchestrated by master Xehanort. They were each sent into their own battles against different opponents. Aqua’s was a man with a scar upon his face who had a knack for hitting targets from a distance, which wasn’t too bad for Aqua since she had her own talent with distant fighting with her magic abilities, but she found herself at a disadvantage at times during the battle. Eventually she did defeat the man and turned her attention to another target only to be quickly taken out by a boy by the name of Vanitas. She woke up later to see Ventus to now talking in a manner that wasn’t like himself. Was he being controlled? Aqua reached out to bring her friend back, but ended up having to fight him. She defeated him and destroyed the blade he was using only to once again lose consciousness.
When Aqua next woke up she learned that Ventus now was a lifeless body without a soul. She also learned about the fate of Terra and now she had to keep her promise to her deceased master and her own goals of protecting her friends. She hid Ventus’ body back where they were trained and with her master’s keyblade she forced the building that would later be known as castle oblivion. She placed her friend upon a white throne and swore she would be back with Terra too. She left her friend and pursued her other friend. She once again found herself in another battle with a friend only after defeating him to watch him stab himself with his own keyblade and force himself into the darkness. She jumped in after to rescue him, but she found she lacked the power to save both of them so making a hard choice she sacrificed her own life by sending her armor and keyblade back to the world of light as she descended into the darkness. Now trapped in the darkness she wandered hoping to find an exit only to be confronted by many giant heartless. She lost her faith and was tired of fighting so she lowered her guard and awaited for her imminent death only to be saved by the keyblades of her friends Terra and Ventus. Aqua remembered her memories of her friends and the vows they made on the one starry night. She called forth her master’s keyblade and prepared to fight for her life once more.

How long had it been? Days? Months? Years? Honestly Aqua didn’t know she had been walking and searching for so long. Fighting battle after battle with so little rest she barely had enough time to get her energy back before each battle. It was a grueling ordeal and Aqua was growing weary of it. “Will I ever make it out of here,” Aqua questioned herself after her last encounter with some heartless. Clutching her master’s keyblade she felt it leave her grasp and disappear before hitting the hard stone floor. Collapsing slightly she could feel her energy fading. Was this the end for her? No, she couldn’t give up at least not yet, she still needed to go back to Ventus and help him. She still needed to bring Terra back to his true self so her jobs were done.
After walking, or rather dragging herself, she found herself in an area filled with sand. This was making walking a bit harder and the fact she was limping now she found her pace lacking. At least it seemed like there weren’t as many heartless around here. Maybe Aqua could take a nice nap and recuperate her energy. It certainly felt like a peaceful place as when Aqua looked more around at the surroundings she saw the gentle waves of a beachfront. The glow of nearby rocks made the place light up with a nice feel to it in comparison to the dark stony paths she was used to. “I remember this place,” Aqua said with a wince of pain clutching her side. She had met another man here in the past and it seemed to be a common ground for people to appear. Her thoughts were getting foggy though so she tried her best to relax by finding a nice place in the sand to rest.
She could feel her head drooping and trying to put her in a nice sleep. Her eyelids were growing heavy as she watched the waves ebb and flow. Her thoughts started to become muggy and her voice was growing weak. Before falling into a nice sleep she said, “I’m sorry Ven…I…might not…be able to keep…my promise.” At the last of her words her hand fell to the sand and her eyes closed. As she lay motionless on the beach her mind was now racing with dreams and memories of the trio. Ventus was running across the grounds being chased by Terra playing a game of tag while Aqua watched from a near-by bench laughing. Oh how those were simpler times and then the scene changed and the three of them were training together under master Eraqus. Ventus was becoming a formidable fighter and was even standing quite well against Terra’s strength.
All these thoughts and images were just fake memories her mind was creating in an attempt to give her a happy ending before she faded away from the world. She was ready to call her life to an end. Aqua would forever regret not keeping her promise to Ventus and Terra, but without the strength to escape this world she wasn’t going anywhere. Maybe someone else would finish her work for her and they would forgive her for failing them. Yes that would certainly be the most probable clause, but who would do this for her? The image of a young boy with brown hair and a white shirt came to mind. She remembered this boy and the light within his heart was certainly strong. He would certainly carry out her favor for him wouldn’t he? Aqua didn’t know if he would but she could only hope.
