Personality: Unlike most Nobodies, Naminé seems to be able to convey feelings and emotions, this ability to have emotions maybe due to how she came to be in the first place. She was not born in the traditional way that other Nobodies were. Her being able to convey emotions at all can be proven when she regrets what she had done to Sora’s precious memories under the supervision of the Organization. Naminé even offers to undo the damage that she had done as an attempt to repent for her actions. With that being said, then it is also safe to say that the young female Nobody has a strong sense of right and wrong once seeing multiple situations and think of their possible outcomes. She is always willing to put things right and fix her mistakes.
Given the nature of her birth, Naminé had no memory of her past. Other Nobodies had their memories from their past lives and can get away by pretending to have emotions. However, for Naminé, there was nothing in her mind to tell her how to act. So when she came into existence, she just followed the orders of people around her giving her a very frail, shy, and needy personality. She would blindly cling on to whoever took her in since they appeared to have a plan and a purpose in life, whether they were right or wrong in their actions making her rather naive and easily manipulated.
Eventually her emotions gets the better of her in two ways. One way is when she feels lonely and helps the Organization lure Sora to Castle Oblivion. She changed the memories he had of Kairi and placed herself in them instead. This was a desperate cry from how lonely she was. Away to what it might be like to have a friend, but also orders from the Organization. The other way in which her emotions changed her is when she finally switched sides and rebels against her captors. This gives her a strong determination that develops slowly. She is also shown to be kind and caring toward people, especially those she wants to protect or feels bad for.
Naminé is a very different kind of Nobody. Soft smiles and a calm disposition all bundled up in a white and blonde package. She can be the manipulator or be manipulated. She is frail and sometimes shy when it comes to approaching people for help. She knows right from wrong and will fix her mistake. She has the ability to be brave and stick up for people. Though often quiet, she will speak the truth to anyone who asks because she has nothing to hide. This can lead her to get bullied and pushed around a lot, but she manages to push herself back up again everytime and take a stance. She is a damsel in distress and a hero, to an extent, all rolled into one. Her personality is as very changing as the oceans waves.
History: Kingdom Hearts
A Nobody comes to exist when a person loses their heart. The empty shell that is left behind starts to take on a life of its own. However, one Nobody came to be in a slightly different way being connected to a Princess of Heart. Kairi’s heart ended up inside Sora. After Sora’s battle with Riku, who was being possessed by Ansem Seeker of Darkness, he stabs himself with the Dark Keyblade upon finding out that his dear friend's heart was locked away within him. Kairi’s heart was then released from the darkness and two creatures were born from that act, one boy and one girl. This girl had no heart and unlike the others of her kind she had no previous memory of who she used to be. However, she would soon discover that she had the power over her creator's memory and the memories of the people who were connected with him. She was given the name, Naminé.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Naminé ends up imprisoned by Organization 13 and is kept on the upper floor of their Castle Oblivion. The Castle is turned into a labyrinth of lost memories with Naminé’s powers and the previous occupiant's spell. She is forced to Manipulate Sora’s memories when he is lured to the Castle by the Organization. Every time that Sora completed a level of the castle, Naminé would take one of his memories and replace it with a false one of her. This was to make sure that Sora would continue his way through Castle Oblivion. The objective was to make Sora believe that he had a reason to be there to save his so called "childhood friend" Naminé. Sora is forced to undergo this manipulation so that he becomes a puppet under Naminé's control, allowing Marluxia to have the Keyblade wielder’s great power to overthrow the superior of the Organization. Where as the Superior wanted Sora as a vessel for a much darker person that was pulling all the strings.
As Sora transcends the corridors, Riku appears in the castle. The Organization decides that all their plans could be ruined if the two friends end up crossing paths. In response to Riku the Organization create a replica of the hero of darkness to send after Sora. The Replica is to make Sora believe that he is the real Riku and that the real Riku has turned on him sending Sora on a wild goose chase deeper into the castle and further from his comrade. When the Replica Riku refuse to play by the Organization’s rules, Naminé is forced to implant false memories into him, so that he thinks he is the real Riku, believing that Naminé is his long lost friend, and that he made the same promise to Naminé that Sora made to Kairi. To stir up trouble even more, Sora was also believing that it was Naminé he made the promise to and doesn’t even remember Kairi anymore. Replica Riku was even given an identical lucky charm as the one Sora had. Now the Memory Witch had two people with the same exact memory about to fight over a girl they didn’t even know.
Naminé's conscience eventually catches up with her, and she reveals herself to Sora after being released by Axel. She appears to Sora in the memory version of Destiny Islands and as a memory version of herself. She tells him that it was not her that he had made the promise with so many years ago. She revealed that he was being tricked, and to look for a faint glimmer of light in the deepest regions of his heart. That light was the light of the real person who the promise was made too.
Sora meets the real Naminé when he exits the memory Destiny Islands back into the castle. Just then, the Riku Replica arrives. When Sora tries to help the fake Riku, the replica tries to finish Sora off. Naminé defends Sora and shouts at the fake Riku. This shatters the replica's memories, knocking him unconscious. Larxene then arrives to fight Sora, but she is defeated when she makes the mistake of harming Naminé and angering a not very easily angered Sora.
After the battle, Naminé explains her actions to Sora, and expresses deep regret. Even though she is a Nobody, for some reason she is able to feel and at that moment she thinks that Sora is beyond angry with her. Much to her surprise, Sora is completely forgiving, and besides that even though the memories of Naminé were fake, his feelings for her were genuine and that she was someone worth fighting for. Naminé says she can restore the original memories that Sora once had, but only after they defeat Marluxia. Sora heads off to fight him, and leaves the Replica Riku under the Memory Witch’s charge. However, as she is watching over the replica, Marluxia arrives with other plans for their little traitor.
When Sora shows up Naminé is being held captive by Marluxia. Marluxia orders Naminé to completely shatter Sora's memories and destroy his heart. Remembering Sora's kindness towards her, Naminé refuses the order. Marluxia threatens to return her to Dusk. She is saved by the Riku Replica's arrival. Sora, Donald Duck, and Goofy then battle Marluxia, as the replica guards Naminé. After Marluxia is defeated and the replica departs, Naminé presents Sora with the choice of either keeping his new memories and abandoning his old ones or vice a versa. She understands his choice to have his old memories returned to him and leads Sora, Donald, and Goofy to a chamber housing several white, water lily crystal pods. They can sleep in these while Naminé restores their original memories. Sora reassures Naminé that she will always be in his heart and they make a promise. Now, Naminé, had her first real promise of one day meeting Sora once again as one of his real friends.
Naminé and Riku meet when Riku reaches the top of the castle. While Riku watches his friend slumber Naminé offers him a chance to seal away the darkness in his heart, though he would have to sleep like Sora. Riku chooses to face the darkness head on on his own. After all, if both Sora and himself are asleep then there would be no one else to protect the worlds. Naminé sees that he has made the right choice. She would be freed from the castle and work along Riku, King Mickey, and DiZ to restore the memories of Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days
Naminé runs into to a slight problem with putting back Sora’s memories when one of Vexen’s experiments show up, a replica named Xion. This Replica was gaining Sora’s memories and needed to be stopped before Sora was no longer able to recover. With Some help from Riku, Naminé, was able to send Xion, of her own free will, back to Sora as his memory.
Kingdom Hearts II
Naminé is able to continue work on Sora’s memory but now she runs into another snag, Sora is incomplete since Roxas, Sora’s Nobody, is running around. Namine creates a memory version of Twilight Town for Roxas to live in so that she and the others can keep an eye on him and set him up to return everything he is back to Sora. In this Twilight Town Roxas is unaware of the existence of other world and Nobodies. Naminé erases his memories of ever being in the Organization, which with the path he was on when her left them really wasn't an issue, and replaces them with the memories of her imaginary Twilight Town. Occasionally she will throw in a memory or two, via dream, of Sora’s memories so that she could extract what she needs to make Sora whole once more.
Naminé is kept under close surveillance by Riku and DiZ when she starts to exhibit a desire to meet with Roxas and tell him the truth of his existence. Once she put her mind to something there was no way she was going to back down. She manages to contact Roxas and guides him when he is attacked by Nobodies. She had planned on revealing the truth of who he really is, but ended up getting stopped by Riku. Him knowing anything could have put their whole operation in jeopardy. Everything they were working for could have been messed up. Despite Riku's best efforts from keeping the two Nobodies away from each other, soon after Naminé and Roxas meet again, and this time, she reveals to Roxas that he was never supposed to exist. She tells him that he is a Nobody and will be facing his destiny as one in due time. On the final day for Roxas, they meet once more where Naminé tells Roxas that he will not disappear, and will instead be whole. DiZ quickly tries to stop her, but before she is taken away, she promises him that they will meet again, even if they don't recognize each other.
Sora awakes with his friends and they discover that the only words that were in the journal under tasks were “Thank Naminé.” They have little time to think about what this message meant since a new journey was awaiting them.
Later, in The World That Never Was, Naminé braves getting recaptured by the Organization to rescue Pluto and Kairi from their cell shortly after they were captured. A weary Kairi is unsure of the blonde at first. Naminé convince Kairi to trust herself which ultimate translates in to Kairi trusting Naminé. A light is passed between the two girls when the clasp hands which could very well be part of a spell that was casted on Kairi long ago to keep her safe. The two of them attempt to find Sora, with Naminé leading the way, knowing that he has made it this far already, and was most likely looking for Kairi. The two girl’s search comes to an abrupt end when they come face to face with Saïx. Upon the two girl’s attempts to take a stance and escape the Nobody blocking their path, Riku arrives and manages to drive off Saïx. Naminé then tells Riku that he can take over from this point, and vanishes.
After what they believed to be the final battle the young heroes quickly discover that they have no way of leaving the place they are in, now that Riku was no longer connected to the darkness. Naminé arrives once again in the time of her Other's need to open a portal and without really stopping to consider anything Mickey, Donald, and Goofy run through. However, Sora, Riku, and Kairi linger behind as the blond haired girl in the white dress appears one last time before them. The last task in the journal that was keeping track of the hero’s journey was complete when Kairi thanks Naminé for her help.
Naminé then tells Sora that they met again, though he does not understand what she means (due to his loss of memories of Castle Oblivion). At that moment, Roxas steps out of Sora, and the two Nobodies meet once more, just as Naminé promised. A new promise is made between the four that Roxas and Naminé could be together as long as Sora and Kairi were together. The two Other's promised that they would be together every day and with that Naminé finally joins with Kairi, completing her.
Kingdom Hearts: Coded
While exploring the Room that once housed Sora's sleeping body Naminé appears in front of Data Sora and Mickey. She, like Data Sora, is made of Data and not actually there. She tells Sora of the other Trio of Keybladers, Terra, Aqua, and Ventus and how it is him that will save not just those three but Roxas, Xion, Axel and herself. After she delivers her message she simply vanishes.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance
Naminé makes yet another brief appearance once again to Sora. In the dream he is trapped in he encounters Naminé in the World that never was. She looks sad and upon approaching her, she runs from him. Sora manages to grab her wrist to stop her and start to tell her something but when she turn to face him she is no longer Naminé but the unfamiliar face of Xion.
Physical Description:
Roleplaying Sample: "I...I'm back?" A young girl decked out in mostly white, with hints of blonde and blue accented her person spoke softly to nobody.
Naminé looked around the small white room that she had once been imprisoned in. Her ocean blue eyes took in every detail of the room. Probably a small side effect from being in dark nothingness for so long, but the white, brightness of the walls made her eyes water as she walked around inspecting everything. She walked over to the giant double doors and gave a pull on them. They were still tightly locked, keeping any occupants away from the rest of the castle that laid just beyond the room. A slight sigh left her lips as her hands fell to her sides from the attempt of opening the doors. Her head bowed in defeat. A moment passed before she lifted her head upon turning. Instantly catching her eye was a small white chair and a long table sitting in the middle of the room. Naminé walked over to where the table was, it still had a small sketchbook upon it. The female Nobody placed one hand on the book and picked it up. She opened it to see the drawings that she had done while captive in this place were all still there. It was exactly as she had left it. Why in the Worlds did she think that anything in that room change? The Organization members often left her in cold, lonely, silence. Avoiding as much interaction with her as possible unless otherwise directed too or to torment her for fun.
The thought of the Organization made her stomach turn. It occurred to her that if she had returned then it was possible they had as well. Naminé strained her ear to listen for a hint of anyone’s existence outside of the room, but there was nothing there. Not one sound came to her, it was as empty as she believed her chest was, where a heart should have been; there was nothing...but silence. However, just because no one was there at the moment didn't mean they weren't far behind. A cold chill went up her spin and she shivered. It was time to get out of here, leave while she still could. But the question was, how?
Out of pure instinct She placed her right arm out in front of her. There was no guarantee that this little trick would still even work. To her surprise a black portal admitting a purple light appeared in front of her. She stared at it with her mouth slightly agape, eyes wide, and arm still held in front of her. It was comforting to know that this talent that she possessed still worked. It would came in handy. A soft smile graced her lips as she lowered her arm back down to her side. Unlike the other Organization members, Naminé, didn't need a special black cloak to pass through the portal of darkness. She never dwelled on why. That was a mystery to solve at a later time. Her sketchbook was still grasped firmly in her hand as she stepped through the vaper of darkness. she and the sketchbook were engulfed into nothingness and a veil of colors surrounded her. Once again she raised her unoccupied hand in front of, concentration on particular place. As before, a black corridor opened and in wafted the scent of salt, fruit, and sand.
A twin Portal opened up on a beach and the girl holding a sketchbook stepped out. Naminé’s nose filled with the smell of the salty sea air as she took a seat on the sandy earth. A light breeze blew her blond hair from side to side and at the same time made the sands shift under where she was sitting. She had prop herself up against the roots of a familiar arched tree overlooking a vast blue ocean. The young girl seemed to have pulled a drawing utensil out of thin air. She moved her hand vigorously as she drew in her sketchbook. She wanted to preserve the scene that was laid out before her. It wasn’t often that she was allowed to draw freely like this. Her drawings were normally used to manipulate others since that is the power her and her drawings held. People have held her against her will and made her commit horrible acts for their own selfish reasons before. There was a time when she didn't know that though. Both who have walked in the dark and the light have used her. Her hand slowed in her drawing and a small frown graced her face. A small twinge of guilt settled in the pit of her stomach. She hated feeling like this. This wasn’t right! She shouldn't have any kind of emotions at all. Yet her she was feeling sick from regret of her past actions.
Naminé looked up from her drawing and took a deep breath. She took her colored pencil and placed it behind her right ear “Why am I here?” She thought to herself. “One moment I am seeing the world through Kairi’s eyes and the next thing I know I have returned into existences.”
She contemplated this thought for a moment. There was only a few things she knew for sure. One, she was back. Two, it was clear that Kairi was no longer with Sora because Naminé was no longer connected to Sora’s Nobody, Roxas. It was promised that as long as Sora and Kairi were together, then Naminé and Roxas would share that as well. The young Nobodies face fell deeper into a frown. Three, she was all alone. She had no one by her side and no place to really call home. What was going on in the Worlds that forced her to come back into this life? The final thing she knew for sure was that sitting around on the beach was not going to solve anything. She stood up using the tree as a support. She took the pencil from her ear, tore a page from her sketchbook, and wrote on it. While one hand conjured the Corridor of Darkness, the other was impeling the paper on a branch of the tree. She knew that someone out there had the answers she was looking for and she was going to find them and it. She had taught her other, Kairi, to light her own way by trusting in herself. Now she would have to do the same for herself, and who knows, maybe she end up being the light for others as well. Whether it is to light their way in the Darkness or Dim down the Light so they can see their path in front of them only time would tell. With one last glance at the Ocean, it seemed to be waving goodbye to her, she stepped once again into the portal leaving a small message fastened to the tree behind that read “Find Naminé.”

"I'm a witch with power over Sora's memories and those around him. I don’t know why I have this power or if there is even a right way to use them."
"Roxas! We will meet again. And then we can talk about everything. I may not know it's you, and you may not know it's me. But we will meet again. Someday soon. I promise!"
