What was once an empty, quiet spot, soon began to fill with the denizens of this world. It turned out, the primitive technology was a projector to play movies. Here the denizens played different films on a schedule, with Yuel and Lumina being right on time for the next showing! One of the boys who sat near the front, mentioned something about Market Square. Lumina was under the impression that's where they were. Another passing convo revealed the city's name, 'Twilight Town'. A very apt name, given the beautiful sunset sky. There was only one thing which seemed strange, something she'd whisper to Yuel.
"The sky hasn't changed since we got here. Maybe the sunset never ends, that sounds fascinating, don't you think?" well, at least Lumina found it fascinating but it didn't take much to pique her curiosity. On the other hand, Lumina was as sharp as a knife. As well as very intuitive too, so she was going to learn as much as she could, sooner than usual. What captured her interest just moments before the film began, was the strange ice cream bars. They had a nice scent, salty but sweet too. Before the day's end, Lumina was determined to get her hands on one.
Granted, she should probably think about finding a place to stay. The thought crossed her mind subconsciously but... her love of sweets thoroughly captivated her. Right up until the film began, which was quite a treat given it was in black and white. When was the last time she saw such a film? As she thought back, she could recall scenes in black and white, for dramatic effect. The whole movie though? That left her memory foggy but receptive to suppressed thoughts. When the film was done, she was thinking about a distant memory of her Father.
Lumina's emotions swelled deep within, uncertain if she was sad or happy, maybe anxious. That film just brought too many memories to the surface. Most importantly though, "That was...fun!" she admitted before clapping. "I'd like to watch more but there's some things we should settle first." namely they'd need a place to stay. There was also the fact that this was the start of their journey and they were a little...
"I never did tell you what I'd do at the start of seeing a new world. I was so moved by your humble response. It reminded me to be more aware of the little things." Lumina smiled now, even though her eyes revealed she was up to something. "So, if I was in a new world, I'd want to surround myself with new... well, everything. New place, new you and that means changing how you dress, how you look and how you see things." she playfully raised her hands up, waving her arms playfully. Then she'd stand up, clearly rearing to go somewhere. She spun around on the sole of her left shoe. Shopping for new clothes, that never ceased to be a good thing but the lavish attire she loved, was the first to go. Now at the start of her journey, it was like she was reclaiming her youth. Her current attire was an expression of her old ways, long forgotten by her other self. Given the fashion style of those in this world, she was curious to try some clothes on. The style seemed to resonate with her, just as the film did.
In truth, this world seemed to resonate with her in general even if being 'at ease', more so meant being able to have lots of fun.

It was fascinating, though in truth Twilight's Town's eternal sunset was a double edged sword for her. On one hand it was beutiful, truly a beutiful sight, the memory of seeing it alongside Lumina would remain in her memory forever. On the other hand... She had experienced an eternal night before... Of course a sunset wasn't nearly as bad but... Their was still a small part of her left unsettled by the fact the sky would always be like that. As certain as she was that theor wasn't anything bad about it like Nova in her time... She coudn't help it, part of it just poked at the back of her head. But the rest of her? It was beutiful, a wonderus sight that was a farcry from what her orignal time had been like. It was nice that other worlds were like this.
"I am... Still amazed at the thought of worlds not connected to our own. I knew... Of the fragements along the timeline but... This is something else all together. This world... I agree it's such an amazing sight"
The movie... It was a sight to her. In her time things like this didn't exist. Or more accuratly they didn't exist anymore. Watching the people, the 'characters' the men had called them, it was an amazing thing to her to watch them run across the screen, to tell their little story. If Lumina were to look at her she would see the former seeress' eyes praticully sparkle in joy, she was clearly enjoying the picture. It was all so new to her! When they walked out of the theater area the only words she could say were in agreement, she even clasped her hands in tune with her friend.
"I agree did you see it?! It... It was like an Oracle Drive but instead of the future it showed.... These wonderful creations that tell stories"
To most it probaly seemed like was stuck in the past, but Lumina likely understood. She had experenced a world even worse after all. To see things like this probaky seemed so simole to most but to her it astonished, it wss just so... new, how did it work? Was the Drive the light was coming from responsible?
"Humble? I'm... Not so sure I.."
But she listened to her friends words closely, at first she would nod with a smile. It made since to want to see new things and...
W..wait, new her? New clothes? What did Lumina mean? She... Wasn't sure she wanted that. She was nervous now. She knew Lumina didn't mean anything bad but... This attire was a part of her. She had worn it for so long. This was the attire Noel complemented her in...
"Ummm what's wrong with my current attire? Do we really need to change it Lumina?"
More than anything she was nervous, something clear in her face. She trusted Lumina but this was a big step for her. She was just a tribal girl, she had always worn these clothes.... What else could possibly fit her? Would it loom right?
She just... Didn't know, she was nervous and shy about it, something Lumina would likely be able to see clearly.

Oh yes, Lumina did catch onto that bit of resistance. Something shy, uncertain but possibly willing to explore. Getting Yuel a bit out of her shell, not too much though, was important. So was the right approach to this, her usual antics might be a bit too much. Once more, she remembered Serah... Boy, did she have a way of... well, it was usually her way or the highway. NO WONDER she ended up in Snow's arms. Okay, so now was the time for Plan B's... even as her eyes had a twinkle of mischief. They certainly seemed normal contrast to the yellow irises she displayed back in Nova.
"Nothing is wrong with your current attire, Yuel. It's actually very pretty on you." these were true words, as she very much wanted to put the former Seer's mind at ease. "Don't think of it as changing, I'd never want you to change from the wonderful person you are. There's a saying my Father once said, 'If you want to understand someone, try to see the world from their eyes.' Dressing like them, might help, especially if we want to fit in. Sometimes, depending on the world, we may even have to look like them. When that time comes, I'll take care of that." Lumina explained with a playful wink at the end.
In truth, these were all true points but were they the fun that Lumina desired? Absolutely not! No, no, Lumina just felt Yuel was so pretty, that she wanted to model her in different outfits. Saying that aloud was not at all convincing and without someone who could see through some of her antics not present, well... this was totally a free for all! Of course, there was something missing. The 'final' push, to help make this shopping trip everything she wanted and more.
"If only Noel were here to see you in all the different outfits. You'd take his breath away, I'm sure."
Lumina twirled for a moment, leaving her back to Yuel as she gazed up the alley towards the Market Square. The coy smile playing upon her lips, revealed too much to show Yuel in that moment. Instead, she'd see the troublemaking Farron's back, illuminated by the light. Bit by bit, day by day, Lumina was going to grow and change, becoming her own person. Who she would become as a complete person remained to be seen but the future seemed bright.

She said their was nothing wrong with her attire, it even looked good on her. It wasn't that she looked bad... They just needed to blend in? See things from other peoples point of view. She supposed that made sense but.. she had worn this kind of garb her whole life. It was what all the Seeress' wore. It was comfortable and light. It just felt good on her, she wasn't so sure...
"My visor to...? I don't know.."
But then she brought up someone that made the Seeress blush lightly. Noel... Her guardian, the one she cared for most. Would he really like her in these other outfits Lumina was talking about...? She became noticbly flustered at the thought. As composed as Yeul could be Noel was a soft spot for her. She held deep feelings for the man, so the thought that he might like Lumina's idea well... It sent feelings through her body, through her heart. Her body rocked back and forth as the thoughts ran through her head. Noel... Would he really like to see her in other things? She looked to the ground as Lumina turned around, trying to hide the blush on her face. It was likely a sight to anyone who saw how Yeul usually kept herself.
"Do you... Really think so...? Really think he would like it..?"
She looked up once more, the light blush still on her face as she seemed to get lost, daydreaming of the things Noel might say for different types of clothing she might where. Her hands touched to her face for a solid minuite as this continued before her flustered state returned and she immieditly tried to return herself to a more composed state, compelty with a cough in a futile attempt to hide or move past what she had just displayed.
"T...that is to say I'm sure he would approve of us fitting into the world around us and learning from them, he is a hunter after all, yes"
Lumina, who had likely noticed her previous additude could likely tell she was overdoing this now, and why. Yeul placed her hands behind her back and gave a 'confident' nod.
"Yes ummm so we should defently make sure we try on a couple outfits so we... Have stuff to work with... And blend in, yes"
Truly, Lumina knew exactly how to get to people... Even Yeul!

Lumina could be a fisherwoman, expertly casting her line in the form of a sensible proposition. Whilst making sure to leverage the best... bait. Her body seemed to stand still, back still turned when the initial response came. Then she slowly moved to look over her shoulder, as Yuel began to talk about...Noel. Her shoulder masked her lips, leaving only her eyes to study Yuel. The expression she was making was so cute, Lumina could explode but...no, not yet. The coup de grace was required, in other words, reeling Yuel in now that she'd taken the bait so well!
"Oh, I know so~ I'm an expert in these things." memories of the past, her earlier days in high school, surfaced in her mind. She was still normal then, still Claire Farron, with friends a wonderful Mother and an adorable younger sister. "Highschool... was never the same after..." Lumina dismissed those thoughts, now was her chance.
Reverse, Rebirth
Turning to properly face Yuel, she'd nod in agreement regarding the conclusion Yuel came to. Even if she did guide her to this outcome, well... her mischief wasn't always bad. Admittedly, it wouldn't be a couple outfits knowing Lumina. Alas, there was no need to correct her on that part. "Well, let's not dawdle here. Come on!" she gestured for Yuel to follow her, even though the trickster had no idea where such shops would be.
Some would swear she just had a nose for it! Even as she ran, entirely in a girlish and playful manner, once they got onto Market Street. Lumina's destination would be Station Heights where the two girls would find a surprising but familiar sight. "Huh? This world has Moogles too!?" yes there was a Moogle in one of the shops, which caused the agent of chaos to run up to the counter. At first, said Moogle was startled but judging by the look in Lumina's eyes, that was the sign of recognition.
"You must not be from around here, kupo. Don't worry, no matter where you go, there will always be a familiar face to sell you goods. So long as you have Munny, kupo!" this was very valuable information, one did need some form of currency to acquire goods after all. Munny, what a contrast from gil, of which Lumina had plenty. Despite this new information, Lumina didn't look deterred from her goal either.
"We could do with some supplies but first we stick out like sore thumbs. Could you tell us about the different clothing boutiques and how to get to them?" As it turned out one such was in the very area, behind Lumina. The rest where within Tram Common and the Neighbourhood respectively. The Moogle was even generous enough to tip them off about the Bistro in the latter mentioned area. Food and shelter were important things after all. This all put quite the smile on Lumina's face, things were going pretty good so far!

She was an expert she said. W..what did she mean by that? Well... She was aware of Lumina's origin's... Is that what she mean't? Shd probaky still held Lightining... No 'Claire's' memories. So she would... Likely have experenced a situation similar... Right? Yeah that had to be it. She knew well how loyal Noel was so... It woudn't be anything else. Still.... She was an expert? It was intresting to think on how Lightining wasn't always the way she was now. Their was a time she was a lot like Lumina before things hit a hard point in their life. She didn't know the details but... It was enough to make the 'Savior' changed for a long time, to an extent still changed today.
"Well... If you really think he would like... I mean approve then it's for the best! Yes... We defently should blend in"
Part of her truly did agree, but it was clear most of her acceptence came from the thought of Noel liking any new outfits she picked out. Of course you'd be hard pressed to get her to outright say it. Not out of shame, no it was simply leftover from her previous position of Seeress... And because she knew full well Lumina would use it agaisnt her. So she had to try and keep as much in as she could.
Not knowing Lumina already had enough to twist her around her finger plenty well...
"Right let's go! It's best to get to work while it's still... Daytime?"
She wasn't complelty sure on the schedules for this world but followed behind her friend regardless. Lumina's playfulness was infectious and while Yeul's movements wearn't as energetic and wild as hers Yeul followed with happy jog and a smile on her face, despite her reservations part of her was actually pretty eager to do this now... Even putting asidr the want to impress her guardian. Evenually they would come across a sight that surpised the Seeress just as much as it did Lumina. Curiosity got the better of her as she looked the moogle over maybe a bit to close.
"Wow... He is a moogle... That's wonderful!"
Gently Yeul clasped her hands together and smiled. They would defnetly need to tell Serah if they ran into her, so she could tell Mog sblut this development, the little guy could meet his friends out in the world! She listened closely as Lumina gathered information for them, info that Lumina probaly understood better than she did, she wasn't even sure what a 'bistro' was but apprantly they could get food there. The other places were where they could get clothing right? A look of curiosity crossed her features as she turned to face Lumina once more. She of course had no idea where to begin. Fashion... Even just trying different types of clothing, it Just hadn't been a big concern in her time, their wete far bigger concerns. It was all so foreign to her.
"Where should we go first Lumina? I.. I don't know these things well"
Another point the chaotic girl could use to her advantage if she wished...

Just like that, the seeds had been planted, taking root quickly too given Yuel's concession. Lumina nodded in agreement, grateful that Noel was able to be of use in this situation. Even as she wondered about what 'daytime' and rest was like in this world. Thoughts to inquire about when the time was right, something she felt she was getting better at. Timing was everything after all, even if she did have a lot of time in the old world. Time to prepare, time to plan and during that crystal sleep; time to speak with Serah. Although Lumina wouldn't ever show it, there was remorse for the past and a desire to change too.
Now, she was committed to doing things right, being patient. This was a marathon and the Keyblade she sought, could only be wielded by strong hearts. What little she had, was cast away by her other self so very long ago. Piece by piece, until Serah couldn't recognize the old Claire anymore. Neither could her friends, her teachers, all this fragment could do was watch from the shroud of darkness. While sleeping in the memories of the forgotten past, no, the discarded past.
So, what did she have now? Was it even a heart? When she appeared before Yuel, she just felt like an embodiment of darkness and chaos, hollow inside save for memories. Such a fragile existence but... the more memories she had, the better, right? So, of course she should savour making these new memories. That was the lesson here and when asked about where to first, despite being lost in thought, Lumina soon perked up.
"Let's start...here!" she'd casually turn behind her and point to this first shop. "I'm sure we've got plenty of time, so we should be extra thorough in picking out our outfits. We might even be here for awhile, after all." a candid confession, given her nature. The goal was to get more information about getting a keyblade. That could take much longer than anticipated and now that fun was to be had... Lumina would milk this for all its worth! Turning slightly to wave to the Moogle, she'd dash off to the shop in question, opening the door with enthusiasm but mindful to keep it open for Yuel to come inside too.
"So, the first step in shopping Yuel, is to trust your instincts. Start with clothes that have similar colours to your own. This will help you build up confidence, then as something calls to you, reach out for it so that you can try it on. There's no need to rush either, the right outfit for you will reveal itself after you try it on." claimed the fashionista. Her eyes looked about before spotting the clerk working, she'd approach the young man and inquire about two changing rooms. He pointed to the right side of the shop before giving Lumina two keys.
When she returned to Yuel's side, she held up the keys with a smile. "Now we've got what we need to start our little adventure. Do you have an idea about your size? If not, we can measure in the changing rooms." Saying that, she looked over Yuel carefully before picking up a two piece outfit, short sleeve shirt and purple skirt. Estimating sizes was a skill she picked up after Serah and her were orphaned. Without their Mother, it just felt natural to slide into that protective role. This was different, more like shopping with a friend and helping each other out. Nostalgia had completely overtaken Lumina, guiding Yuel carefully to the changing rooms before presenting the clothing for her.
Dressing up Yuel was going to be a lot of fun for Lumina. Though her actions were hiding her own insecurities about doing this. Perhaps it wasn't as pronounced as Yuel but Lumina's outfit, appearance, it was all a subtle reminder for Lightning. To see how much of the past she could recall, to figure out the truth. So much of her purpose and intentions were gone now, which meant taking a brave new step, to become her own person. Stepping out of the shadow of the past...

"Right I'll follow your lead Lumina. You know these things better than me"
Part of Yeul paled at Lumina's wording. As much as the idea of wearing clothing Noel would like enticed her... She was still nervous about this, more so the idea of trying on multiple outfits. All she had ever worn was the ornements and dress every Seeress of her tribe wore, every 'Yeul'. It had always been like that. As outgoing as she could be this particular subject she coudn't help but be worried about. What if other clothing didn't look right on her? Whst of her friends coudn't recognise her through the change?
"Oh... I'll try... Just go with my heart right?"
She would try for her friend, she was already going through such effort and... As much as she wottied she was curious to. They needed clothing for this new world... And maybe Noel would like it. She briefly wondered if her Guardian would come after her despite the message she left. He wasn't supet fond of Lumina after all. Though even putting that aside she knew him well, he and Caius were the most protective people she knew when it came to her... Willing to go to great extremes to make sure she was safe. So... Probaly, well she would just have to make sure he understood clesrly if he did come. Lumina was not a threat... She a friend, just trying to do the right thing.
"Well... We can measure my dress can't we? Or me... I don't know how these things work"
After doing whats needed she would follow Lumina as she picked up clothes that going by the color she assumed to be hers. Her guess was confirmed when a rather excited Lumina guided her to the changing room, handing her the shirt and skirt. They didn't look bad shebhad to admit... but would they look good on her...? For a moment she stood there, still a bit nervous. Well that and being a tribal girl she wanted to make sure she did everything right.
"So... I take off my visor and all the ornaments to right...? Ok I'll be right back"
The former Seeress dispeared behind the dressing room. There she would take a deep breath as she removed each ornament piece from her body and into a convient bag for storage. It felt weird not having them on, but she would push on, removing the dress and placing shirt and skirt combo in, the dress being placed in the same bag as her other ornaments. She looked at herself in the mirror the room provided and frowned, rubbing her arm shyly. It was... Shocking how different just a change of clothes could make you look. She didn't think it looked bad, in fact it looked kind of good... Maybe? She just wasn't used to this sort of thing. With another deep breath she slowly opened the door to face Lumina once more, her expression would still clearly show how nervous she was about all of this.
"So umm... How do I look?"
She offered a shy smile, then looked down at her boots, which she hadn't changed in all this.
"I... Wasn't sure if they came off to or... Are we doing footwear to?"
She really had no idea what she was doing, but... Despite her nervous state she was glad to be doing this with her friend... That much she wasn't worried about.
"Should we find things for you to Lumina?"

It didn't take someone super intuitive to tell what Yuel was feeling in that moment. Her words gave way to a snippet of innermost thoughts, ones Lumina shared. So she nodded and gave her best smile. Ah, except when Yuel rushed off to change, Lumina was left mouth agape; measuring tape in hand. The former vessel couldn't help but shake her head with a slight smirk. Fortunately, when Yuel came out, it seemed Lumina's knack for estimating sizes paid off. Her knack for dressing people all the better too! Now Lumina's mouth was agape anew, except this time in awe and reverence alike.
"Oh Noel, you are so missing out right now." Lumina stated, unable to hide the mischief and excitement she had. When prompted for a response, Lumina giggled and rushed over to embrace Yuel. There were plenty of words which came to mind concerning Yuel's appearance, adorable topping the list and so the fashionista could hardly contain herself! For a moment, it felt strange to worry about her own change, while being so confident in Yuel's own.
"You look stunning, Yuel and don't worry about footwear. Your boots are actually quite practical and fit the style here. A little something old, to mix with something new, makes it a lot easier, right?" hoping to ease any doubts remaining for her friend, the young Farron did her best to give a sincere smile but her excitement left her nuzzling Yuel's arm playfully in the end.
"Still, if you do want something comfortable for... wherever we end up staying, then don't hesitate to try something on. As for me... I'd like it if you did pick out something for me. I found something in my comfort zone but it might still be a bit old fashion. So, if you find something modern then I'll give it a try. Oh and if you could get me a brush..." letting her words trail cryptically, she'd release Yuel and move to grasp the outfit she mentioned. Glimpse of white fabric, that looked quite soft could be made out before she went into the change room.
Lumina took awhile to get undressed before trying on the outfit. While it was definitely in her comfort zone, it was a lot more subdued compared to her usual outfit. Of course, it wasn't just the outfit Lumina changed; thanks to Yuel she'd found the courage to change something else as well. So when the little devil stepped out for Yuel to see, she no longer had a style reminiscent of Serah. Lumina had let her hair down, then to the best of her ability, attempted to smooth out the parts of her hair that were spiky. The brush she requested would come in handy there, making her new hair style seem more mature. As it gently rested upon both sides of her shoulder, though the left side was still a bit longer.
"I'm... not a vessel anymore, nor was I a perfect replica. So, I should try to be... the person the other me couldn't. Even if it'll take some time."

"Noel...? Missing out... Does that mean it..."
She was interupted as Lumina brought her into a tight embrace, surprising the once seeress and causing her to blush in emberisment. Was that a yes then? The chaotic girl seemed reslly excited at her apprence so that was a good sign? She hoped so. After her intial shock Yeul returned Lumina's embrace with her own hug. She appriciated Lumina's help. Lumina... She was a good friend under all her teasing and antics she really did care, Yeul knew that well. This... Wasn't as bad as she thought so far. Doing this with a friend.. was even kind of fun.
She nodded in agreement with Lumina's assesment of her boots. She had thought they looked fine with the clothing but... She was still so knew to this she coudn't be sure. Bettet safe than sorry anyway? Its not like she could forsee how people would react to what she wore now.. she wanted to be sure. Her smile did in fact calm her, though Lumina's affection still emberssed her, though not in a bad way. She just wasn't used to it. The only one who had really shown her affection on a regular basis was Noel. The tribe only saw her ad their seeress and one of the few humand left. Though she knew how much Caius truly cared he wasn't the super affectionate type ether. As a result she was not used to get this from anyone but her guardian. But... It didn't feel bad. It was nice to get this from a friend, it felt good.
"O..oh I don't know Lumina I'm not exactly a fasion wiz like... Oh yes a brush"
The tribal girl passed one along to Lumina from their changing changing station, then looked at the clothes her friend had chosen herself and frowned. Yep those defently looked better than anything she could pick out but... If Lumina insisted she could at least try one. She would do so picking out a rather simple silk shirt and skirt combo, the colors mixed black and purple in a way she thought Lumina might like... If nothing else it might be a simple around the house outfit? Though when Lumina stepped out she was far more distracted by her friends apprence, leaving the clothes she had chosen slung over her shoulder. She looked beuitful, that much was clear. Of course Lumina would be able to pick clothing and a style that made her look amazing. But it was more than that to. Lumina... She was making her OWN look, her own idenity. Yeul found herself moving foward with a smile, taking Lumina's hands in her own with a bright smile. Yes she was just so...
"I'm so proud of you Lumina! This... I know you've been... Through so much. A step like this is so brave... You look amazing"
She wasn't sure how much it mean't coming from a girl from the end of time and no fasion sense but... She meant it, truly.
Lumina was growing... So much.
And it was beutiful to see.

Seems like her passing remark pertaining to Noel really worked out. She meant it too, given her experiences and the nostalgia she was feeling. Grateful for the brush, she thought about the differences in style between herself and Serah. Her sister's hair wasn't as unruly, given the notable spikiness of her own hair. Taming it was difficult and as she brushed her hair, she remembered how her Mother used to do this for her. Then she remembered that slow transition to embracing some of the unruliness, while styling the other side.
Letting go of her standards, even as time became an important factor in 'growing up', seemed to be something her other self never could give up on. A small hint that her old ways, her old self was still in there. Now Lumina had the freedom to pursue what was lost. Challenging as it was, scary as it was; it really did feel good. The way that Yuel looked at her when she came out, that was inspiring. Even though Lumina was blushing in turn!
Yuel's words and actions, the reassurance of holding her hands, this was the correct way. Even if she did take the inspiration for this look from her Mother. Both parents were deep within her thoughts now, for without Lightning to focus upon, the past rose to the surface. "Then maybe...it's possible, that I have my own...heart?" a thought Lumina would never have dreamt before. Especially as she could seldom explain how she was here. What she knew for certain, was the Goddess of Death and Caius too, called for her; during her sleep.
Now there she was, so overwhelmed by emotions; old and new. She smiled despite being red as a tomato and when she looked for a distraction, she found it. Yuel had picked out an outfit, draped over her shoulders. The colours looked really good and it gave a nice contrast with Yuel. This really made her nostalgic, working together with friends as they shopped. "By the way, you may just be a natural at this, Yuel." Lumina playfully pointed out the clothes resting over the Seeress' shoulder.
"Thank you Yuel. This is what shopping is all about, I'll cherish this new memory always." besides, now she was really curious to try on the outfit in question. She liked the look she had now, it did feel uniquely her own, innocent especially. The change of pace with modern clothes would be fun too, enough to want to pick up some more to mix with her love of high fashion. If Lumina wasn't careful, she might buy out the whole shop!

"Lumina..."
Of course she had a heart. Yeul knew that for sure. Her actions, her desires... Everything she did showed it. The fact she acted on her desires, that she cared about Serah. Even what they were doing now showed it. She knew why Lumina worried. Who woudn't with how she came to be? Born from the Chaos and slotted into a role, formed from the parts of Lightining the warrior goddess once threw away. Truly it must have seemed at times the only hint of one within her was the sheltered spirit of Serah. But... That just wasn't true. Despite those origins... Yes...
"Of course you have a heart Lumina, never doubt that"
Her grip on her friends hands tightned a bit as she tried to comfort her friend. To her it was obvious of course. But for Lumina? She could understand why she would be unsure. Her origins... And with how things ended. But she knew she had a heart. Besides what she knew about the heart their was the fact Chaos and her other selves chose her, brought her back from the Chaos... And she was still Lumina. Still that same michivious bit caring girl.
"After all... How else would you still be you? It's things like this Bhunivelze coudn't understand... What he coudn't see... So yes... Even despite what he might have wanted... I'm certain you have a heart"
Lumina saw what she had picked out for her, even claiming her a natural at picking clothes. Was that really true? What she had picked out... It was just normal right? She had no eye for things so she just went what Lumina told her. Matching colors and what seemed good. But... If Lumina liked it.
"I don't know... Do you really like it...? I tried but... Do you want to try it on then?"
Lumina seemed excited about it and that made her happy. She just coudn't help being nervous. Everything was going so well... But what if the outfit wasn't nice after all? She wanted her friend to be happy and truly the outfit she had already chosen looked far better than the plain attire she had chosen. Could it really compare? Well... If it made Lumina happy... She held out the attire for her to wear with a smile, hoping it did in fact hold her intrest and attention.
But... No matter how it turned out Lumina was right. These memories... Seeing these wondeful new places. They were truly were precious. Traveling with Lumina... She could see whole new worlds! It was all she dreamed of and more. In her old world, in her old time she would never have been able to see things like this. No it was a day by day thing for the few humans left just to survive. Their were times she felt horrible about it. After all she had Caius and Noel to protect her. While they didn't just abandon the rest of the tribe she was clearly the focus and. As a result... She wasn't in as much danger as them.
Still she saw them fall one by one... And ebenually she joined them... Leaving Noel all alone.
But no... Now they all had a new begining, their world was reborn thanks to the efforts of Lightining... Her friends... Noel... And yes, Lumina to. It was thanks to them she could do this now. She would cherish every memory... Every moment.
She would hold this dream come true to her heart and live every moment to it's fullest.
"It's all I ever dreamed of.... And more. It really is a miracle to see life like this... Yes all of this is wonderful... We should cherish it all... Everyday"

Yuel was truly special, Lumina could see it, she could feel it and as she was reassured, tears streamed down Lumina's cheeks. Her memory had come towards her final moments as the two of them spoke to Lightning. "That you would have such words for me, here and now... even though I was someone who never should have existed. I was just a vessel, with Serah's heart inside." Lumina mused to herself.
"Even so, at least I wasn't empty. Particles of dust brushed from the palm of a god, he shouldn't have had the power to make hearts anew. He desired to turn my other self into the Goddess of Death, to facilitate that role. Yet somehow... just by removing that part of Lightning, along with Serah's heart and soul, I came into existence."
"I'm glad one of us is certain." Lumina admitted, sounding very much like her other self in that moment. For in truth, she was worried about Lightning. She'd been worried about her from the moment she 'woke up. Somehow, she was certain that he other self's heart, was fine and whole. Yet if Lumina didn't have her own heart...how could she be here, right? Nevermind that, Lightning was guaranteed to go about fighting the Heartless if they made it into Nova proper. Which meant she'd get dragged into the conflict and they'd cross paths soon. What would she say to her other half then?
Last time, she could seldom admit who she was to Lightning in her final moments. It...hurt too much, to be the weaker, unnecessary part of Lightning's heart. Was she still going to just be that when next they met? As Lumina's tears ran dry, determination swelled instead. There had to be more inside this heart that Yuel believed in, than vulnerability, selfishness, loneliness. Reflecting on the matter, Lumina found herself looking to the outfit Yuel picked out. It sounded like the both of them could use some confidence... thankfully, they didn't have to look far. "As long as we support each other, that should be all the confidence we need. If I want to be myself...then I can't have my past, nor the other me...decide."
When Yuel offered the outfit, Lumina smiled and took both pieces into her hands."Memories don't just tie the living and dead together. They tie us to each other as well, making our bonds stronger. At first... I thought it was selfish of me, seeking you out and not telling Lightning. I was afraid, that she'd do to me, what she did to Serah. That I'd just feel like her shadow instead. Now I see, that it was my heart, wanting to choose my own destiny. With help of course, I don't have the strength to do this alone nor do I want to. Doing this together with you, I'll definitely cherish all these new memories. Then, before we know it, I won't just be a shadow." Lumina spoke, far more courageously than she thought she could.
Step by step, she could light the way. If someone like her could find the courage to change, then the lost souls in the unseen realm, would be able to hold out until their new lives. "Who knows, maybe this is more than a miracle. Maybe it's destiny~! If you and I can do this, then the souls who fell to darkness, can find their way back to the light. So that they can experience life anew." with that, Lumina took twirled with the clothes Yuel picked, before heading back into the change room.
As it turned out, by her "oohs" and "aahs", the outfit really was delightful. When she came out of the dressing room, she was even more inspired. "Where did you find these Yuel? I want to pick up something like this. Doing things the same old way, doesn't seem very fitting. I should try something new and blend it with the old. Maybe with some shorts..."
Lumina only waited long enough to be pointed in the general direction. Once she began moving, she was like a storm, picking up differing pieces of clothing as she went. Often handing certain garments to Yuel to try on as well, so that once she was done, they'd have a modest wardrobe, in case they had to stay in this world for an extended duration. As for that outfit she was considering, she found a black blouse that sported an off shoulder design for the sleeves, with a white trim that a feather motif around the top. The shorts were an off-white, more like lavender, since Lumina seemed to latch onto purpe as a possibility. Though what ultimately ended up being purple were her shoes which a classy heel to them.
"Now we definitely should look into a place to stay." Lumina replied before reaching for said money. To her surprise, not only did she have the correct currency (in which she was previously carrying gil), she had more than enough. Which was a small mystery onto itself, though the shop clerk was very happy with the business.

Yeul grabbed her friends hands in her own and held them tight. She offered a gentle smile as tears ran free from Lumina's eyes. Lumina herself may not yet be certain but Yeul was. She had seen it herself so often already. You needed a heart to smile, to laugh enjoy yourself. You had to have a heart... To cry. That's why she was so certain. Because she had seen all these things from Lumina. She had stood beside her and seen her express the emotions that only a heart could. Even if the god hadn't intended her to have one... The way she lived, the way she was had most certanly produced one.
"Who's to say... You didn't make your own? It's all their Lumina... All these things you feel..."
She freed one hand and pointed a single finger to her chest.
"You coudn't feel them without a heart remeber? Thats what he wanted... To make it all go away... But he failed even with you... So I know, I know you have a heart"
Lumina took the outfit from her hands much to Yeul's delight. As Lumina chanhed her clothes Yeul leaned against the side of the changing stall. She was right of course, bonds were important and memories were the things that stored every joyus moment, every sad moment. All of them, it kept them all together. Though if she was being honest she had never considered Lumina Lightining's Shadow. She had once been apart of Lightining of course. But now she was her own person, now more than ever. Lumina... Was Lumina. To Yeul it was as simple as that. Though she knew for Lumima it wasn't so simple. She knew how she felt.... Their were times she felt a similar feeling when she was with her other selves.
"I'm sure you know... That every Seeress looks the same right? Every Yeul looks like the previous, but even so... Even as they share the same look and the same fate... We have our own feelings, our likes and dislikes... Every Yeul is unique...."
As Lumina left the stall in her clothes Yeul smiled brightly. She looked wonderful, and Yeul timed it for just this moment. Their was a woman in her old village that said it best. 'leave an impact' with your words.
"Lumina is unique to, you are. Different from Serah and Lightining. You.... Are you, and I'll be by your side on this journey every step of the way"
She agreed with her statement. All those lost souls... They could find happiness to. She would love it if they could, no one should have to wallow in the Chaos.. no one should be lost in the dark.
"Of course they will... I just know it"
The words were said with determination, hand touching the middle of her chest as she said so. She giggled at how excited her friend soon became and happly showed her where she found the outfit. She was happy that she cheered up so quickly. That was a gift of Lumina's she felt. With other people with her... She could probaly recover from anything. Though she would try on quite a bit more clothing alongside her friend she ultimalty liked what Lumina had orignaly picked out for her best and left the store with that, putting the other clothes she took a shine to in a bag along with her seeress outfit. She agreed with her friend, they defently needed a place to stay. But where? Most of the houses around here seemed pretty small room wise. As much as she hated to seem selfish she prefered a more open area, like where she and Noel lived. These just all seemed so... Unlikely to give that feel.
But out of the corner of her eye something caught her eye. She would stop a random passerby, rather hestintly asking about it. Apprantly the spot she saw had been abandoned for some time, mostly because of rumors of a strange girl living there, though the rumor died down in recent time after sightings stopped. The former seeress tapped her chin as she pointed it out to Lumina.
"Why not there?"
Why not the shining mansion in the distance?

"A Mansion...huh?" Lumina couldn't help but grin, what a great place... "Mhm. I think it'll make a greaaat place for our headquarters, don't you~?"
Well of course Lumina was scheming up plans, who wouldn't? The trouble, if it could even be called such; was reaching this mansion. It was on the outskirts of town, requiring a good deal of navigation to get to it. Starting with making their way through the Underground Concourse. "This is...amazing, in it's own way. A series of underground tunnels that connect all over this town. I feel like... I'm home, kind of." perhaps that was because Bodhum was a resort town near the sea. Twilight Town with it's beach, was very similar too. Except without the tourists, which made the place more homely.
Upon arrival in the Woods, Lumina quickened her pace. The two of them were almost there and the mansion looked even bigger. The wide smile Lumina portrayed wouldn't go away, as she was just too happy. Before she knew it, she'd taken off running! Heading towards the gate and looking to get it open. Even with all those bags in her hand, which might have looked like quite the feat. Hooking them around her arms momentarily as she pushed inward. Now they were inside the courtyard, which gave a distinct air. "The previous owner of this place must have been quite wealthy. It practically exudes 'I'm rich', all on its own." Which was a little unnecessary given Twilight Town's size.
Having taken a moment to explore the courtyard a bit, Lumina proceeded confidently or playfully more like, inside the Old Mansion. The first area was the foyer, in which branched off to different parts of the Mansion. Who could say what inspired the chaotic girl to march left but it'd lead to the dinning room initially. "Will wonders ever cease. This place is practically an adventure all on its own!" she declared before giggling. Not that she stayed in one area too long, as she caught sight of the stairs and took off in a run, up said stairs.
Lumina would finally settle, for now anyway, within a room that faced the courtyard. Likely, the weight of the bags around her arms had finally registered. She placed them down at the foot of the bed before plopping down along the upper side. "Right, if we're going to explore... we could take a breather first. We've been walking for quite awhile."
Perhaps even someone with as much vitality as Lumina, could get tired? "Also... in my...excitement, I didn't account for getting food. Even following the Underground Concourse, it'd take awhile to bring back food here. We'd have to make a few trips. Mmm... I could do with something sweet about now, too."
