There he sat atop the castle overlooking this whole world that spread out before him. Down below he could see quite a celebration, even what looked like competition oh how fun! But, quick thrills and party games weren't why he had come here. No, he knew that something this lively would attract them. The chosen Foretellers. Oh try as they could to act serious! The truth is, they were child-like deep inside. Even Ira! More than those six though...He wanted to know the fate of the dandelions. Sure, he "knew" what happened to them, where they were, where they were going. But future sight was always so impersonal, so estranged compared to physical communication.Still, he gave off an aura about him, some more of that "connection of the heart" stuff. If any of them were here, they'd know. They'd feel his very presence even if they were in the town down below, celebrating with all the others. It was always just a matter of waiting. Still, even without a gathering before him, he watched out towards the horizon, speaking to himself. Speaking of things few could really comprehend, it was of his nature to understand, and yet...Without the black box..."They really think this whole "happy fun time celebration" is just gonna go on forever? Well, I guess now that we have a key to the light, there's nothing to be afraid of...Annddd nope. Couldn't keep a straight face saying that."With the snap of his finger, out of thin air a flower appeared in his hand, a dandelion. He held it up towards the sun, gazing at it through the light, and with a gentle exhale scattered it's seeds off into the air. He gazed out towards each individual seed, being carried by it's lightly colored umbrella as they all floated off towards the town below. Really, even if someone couldn't feel his presence, they were bound to have spotted these floating far out of place."Those dandelions though. Man are they having a hard time! I can't believe I turn my back on those kids for a couple of centuries and they ALREADY managed to louse it all up! That's gotta be like a new record or something! And that one with the pink hair, sheesh! Talk about amateur hour huh? First he fails at his job, THEN he copies my style! UN-BELIEVABLE!"He threw his hands up sarcastically. Really to him it was just a funny joke, an anecdote of sorts? Though all those guys wearing his coat did rub him the wrong way. He supposed it would be worth paying them all a visit later... BUT! now was not the time for that, he had much more business to attend to, like getting all the foretellers up to speed on his fate! Man, he couldn't wait to see the look on their faces when they saw him. They were in for quite a surprise.____ Master used Mystic Matter Creation to create a flower. [Passive]

Things were so peaceful here, so happy. Even as turmoil and strife made its way everywhere it was things like this. The way these beings were able to live their lives and more than that, smile and be happy. These things gave her hope for the future. That in the end everything would be ok. She believed that... In her heart. Skuld had found herself participating in the festivities herself and the games that went with it. Doing so gave her a release. It gave her a chance to focus on something other than the chaos in the worlds. That wad ok wasn't it? Surely it wasn't wrong every once in a while. It wouldn't do anyone good if she worked herself till she fell after all. Even as she told herself that though she felt a tinge of guilt among the fun she was having. Combined with the dandelions that now crossed her sigh it made her pause in place, the timer on her current game going off as she did so "Ah I'm sorry sir, thank you for allowing me to play... I have to go now"She walked away from the stand, eatching those dandelions flowed throughout the air. She watched until they left her sight. Then she looked down. She was reminded of everyone again. She had made new friends, even had an apprentice she was training to use her keyblade. But she hadn't found any of the others yet... Not even one of her friends. Where were they? Ever since she came here she got a feeling in her gut. Like something familiar was here. She thought it meant she would find them but... She hadn't seen any sign of them. So she instead occupied herself by playing those games. But now with those dandelions... The feeling in her only grew. She decided to follow the trail of dandelions back the way they flew out, evenually leading her to tbe outside of the kingdoms castle. She looked all around, and then she looked up... And she saw the figure sitting atop the castle and she gave a double take, a shiver going down her spine. The presence she felt... She never met the man personally. But she saw him, knew of him. That guy he was.... Without a doubt... "M...master?!"She was in shock. He vanished... Right? He was gone a long time ago! He left them all .. but now... Here... Of all places... Why? And then she went full panic mode. "I wasn't slacking I swear! I wasn't! I was umm"How did one even go around the truth with someone like him? Was that even possible? Instead she tried to change the subject as soon as she started it. "Is... Something wrong? Is something happening again? Of all the times to come back..."Master of Masters

He looked down towards her, his gaze piercing and cold. Though within the blink of an eye, he was gone from the rooftop. Where did he go exactly? Well, it didn't take long for Skuld to receive an answer. A hand placed itself firmly upon her shoulder, and a cheerful voice piped up from behind her, unlike the stare from before, it was warm. Well...As warm as the master could possibly give, in any case."So! You're the one who showed up? Hey, hey! what's with that look? You're so pale, didja see a ghost or something?"He grinned and laughed a bit, making light humor at the poor girl's expense. Not uncommon for the master at all. Though he had already become aware she would arrive here, coming straight out with the truth, thaaattt wasn't as fun! Not when he wouldn't get to see an expression like that! He pat her shoulder lightly."Relaaax, I'm not your boss! Don't let me keep a free spirit down. You gotta...Well, how do I put this, ahem."He caught himself before he rambled on much further, as Skuld questioned his sudden reappearance. Though he stepped forward ahead of her, his back facing her as he prepared a very blunt response to her questioning."Ehhh, nope. And no. But that timing huh? Betcha didn't expect to see me here! How's that ol' king Mickey getting along? Still....Doing everything but what a king is actually supposed to do? Someone's gotta set him straight one of these days huh?"He stopped himself once more before wandering too much into his random bouts of speaking. No, despite there not being a real reason, there was something he wanted to relay to the girl. Something that might have come as a shock to her."Can't a guy just check up on his old friends once in a while? Huh? Huuuhh? ...Doooh, fine, you got me. Nah I can't lie to you! I was hoping to run into one of you dandelions. Got some REAL bombs to drop on you. Like uh...What was his name, Landom? Lautric? L...laaaaa-Lauriam! That's the one! Him, and that kid who holds his keyblade the wrong way? They're kindaaaaa...Both tied up at the moment. For different reasons. It's complicated."Skuld

She was spooked from behind, the Master was such an essentric person. It seemed he was the embodiment of 'catching you off guard' the books detailed him as an enigma but that likely gave a different impression. To anyone who knew him or knew people who knew what he was like? Well that meaning carried a different tone. In the way that it was near impossible to actually know what he was up to. Even if you THOUGHT you could claim you knew chances were high that your wrong. Yes, this included thinking he died a long time ago when he disappeared. Not that she was one to talk.
"Yes I did umm.... And you did to... Here of all places a ghost well... Didn't you just vanish one day? Then it was just us and the Fortellers until... The war...."
Skuld gripped her hands at her side, the hands shaking a bit at the memory, the look on her face made it clear that particular subject bothered her. Even knowing her role, knowing what she was supposed to do. She could only save one friend from that war. Aside from them... Only the Dandelions and, as she recently found out Master Ira made it out in one piece. Everyone else though? They were consumed by that meaningless war. It still hurt, still weighed heavy on her mind even all this time later. Why? What was that war ever for? She straghtened herself up as he continued, letting herself get mad at the Master wouldn't solve anything. He didn't start that war. He did nothing to stop it ether... He did nothing but what clean up essently. She supposed with powers like his it was sometimes the best you could hope for but... It still bothered her.
"Well I'm... Not sure? I haven't seen King Mickey around since I got here... It seems stable enough despite that however. Probably cause of all the light here maybe? I'm not sure"
His next week made her eyes go wide as she looked at him, fear evident in her eyes. He had news on her friends?! Was it... Good? Or bad? No she had to stay positive. It had to be good right? He said they were IN a spot. Not that they were gone or... Anything like that. So it had to be good right? At most they... Just needed help right?
Y..you know where Lauriam and Ven are Master?! Please... Please tell me! I need to find them... To find everyone! We were all scattered and... And..."
Despite her best efforts the words through her into a panic. Where where they?! She needed tk know! She needed to find them so they could all come together again she...
"I have to find them!"

Vanish? He tapped his chin, trying to recall, his head aimed upwards at the clear blue sky above. He gave a nod and raised his finger, responding with his ever-playful tone, even despite the...Serious nature of what had occurred in his absence. He was always so jesting when everyone else was sad."Oh yeah! My big disappearing act! Well, that's a looooong story. Let's just say my boy Luxu helped out on that one! That war though, whew was that messy! Ava really screwed things up, huh? ... Hey, why the long face? Cheer up! Your friends are alright you know. C'mon! Lighten up a bit! What's in the past is there to stay, right?"He held his arms out to his sides. Gesturing quite boldly. Though he stopped, brought his hands around behind his back holding them there, and turned around, looking out past the castle gates towards the town. He remained quiet for several minutes, just observing the festivities without so much as even a word escaping his mouth. Just what was going on inside his mind? Only he really knew. There was a lot of work to be done now that he was back, that much was certain. Skuld was just the tip of the iceberg here. Though finally he broke his silence, raising his head up with his back still turned to the girl:"How's the ol' noggin' ticking anyway?"He didn't bother elaborating any further. Skuld would know what he meant by it with just those words alone. Though it would perhaps be alarming to her, despite his supposed absence that he knew so much on what was happening. As if...he had been there to experience it all himself."Riiiight, young Ventus! Always did hate the way he held a keyblade. He's uhhh....Taking a nap at the moment. As for Lauriam, he's got a bit of a mood problem! Very touchy."He raised his arms and waved his hands in a mocking manner. Still...What he said next was likely surprising. Despite his usual vague cryptic wording of things, what he was about to tell her was far different:"Alright, alright. Since I know you're worried. I'm gonna let you know exactly where to find em! Ventus is asleep in a place called "Castle Oblivion". There is...One catch though. It takes some REAL special circumstances to actually go there, and if you're not careful those memories of yours are gonna slip right away. Though, it's such an ingenious tactic that you'll probably not see anyone other than Ventus around. It's free real estate!"He turned around to face her and gave a thumbs up. Though within the blink of an eye, his disposition changed completely. As if someone had flipped a switch, he walked forward, placing an arm on her shoulder and staring her straight in the eyes as he relayed the second part of his information."As for Lauriam. I can't give you specifics. But your best bet is to head to the battleground for the keyblade war. Don't let your guard down around him, for even a moment. If you have to strike him down, then don't hesitate. The lad has strayed too far from his goals."After a moment he let go of her shoulder and gave a shrug, laughing to himself."But hey! Someone h a d t o t e a c h h i m a l e s s o n a t s o m e p o i n t ."------ Skuld

"Master Ava didn't mess up! She saved us! It was her guidence that let us carry on after the war!"She respected the Master but... That statement irriated her. Ava out of all the Foretellers defently cared the most about her students. She spoke to them the most, helped them with their problems. She left everything to them when she had to go... She belived in Forteller Ava as much as she did Invi. Master Ava wasn't the one who messed up. "Were the ones that messed up... Thats why... I have to find everyone... We habe to make this right. Not as Fortellers... Not as keybearers... Because its the right thing to do, the worlds are splintered... We have to bring them peace"Its what was intended, for the light to survive. For peace to come to the worlds once more. Thats all she wanted. She wanted everything to be ok again. She wanted the worlds to be out of danger. She wanted... Her friends back. It wasn't just in the past. If they forgot the past they were bound to repeat. She intended to learn from it... To make things better with that knowledge. It was so much better when everyone was together. Then he commented on how her head was doing and Skuld froze, her expression turning noticbly hesitent. Shr knew what he was talking about, knew exactly what he was refering tl. That period was a hard time for her. But... She was better now. That was what mattered. She was here now, despite all of that pain. "I'm... All better now, thanks"That was her only comment on the matter, along with how uncomfertable the subject clearly made her. She tried to move on from it and continue their conversation she knew the Master knew a lot but how did he know... When he wasn't even there. It was likely because she was more focused at the moments, but the Master's jokes wearn't having the impact they might normaly. If Ventus or Lauriam were here it would defently make her laugh. But right now..? She found herself only able to focus and wait for the part of his speech that mattered to her-where they were. Ventus wss in a place called Castle Oblivion. It seemed their were se big risks to walking around there without knowing where you where you were going but... She had to try, she coudn't just leave Ventus there. She would find a way... There had to be a way. "Isn't there any safe way to get to him..?"The next part genually made her mad. It was likely what the master expected, knowing him. He gave the location, the Keyblade Graveyard she was certain. With her hand she attempted to knock his arm away from her shoulder. She was fuming. "What are you talking about?! Do you know what your... Your asking me to... Be ready to strike down a friend! Lauriam woudn't betray us Master I know it! What do you mean he's strayed... What lesson did he have to learn?! look i... I'll get him back on track! That's all thats needed right? Surely the only answer isn't... To get rid of him"Why... Why would the Master ask her to strike down her own friend, her own ally... surely... Surely Lauriam was as lost as she was? What happened while she was gone? Master of Masters

He gave her a very serious look from beyond that hood of his. "Ava saved them"? Well, he laughed a little at that, shaking his head."Not the way I heard it!"He'd pause, stopping dead in his tracks for a moment, raising a finger as if he remembered something important. It was something that had come to mind rather suddenly. His tone carried a bit of hesitancy of it's own. Though it was...More comical than Skuld's hesitant tone."Uh, speaking of...The war. It's a funny story you see. There's kiiinnddaaaa a chance that we'll need to have a second one. NOW HEAR ME OUT! HEAR ME OUT FOR JUST A SECOND! I know this whole "Big bad war" stuff sounds crazy, especially repeating it! But it's different this time! See, we got someone special on our side now."He turns to face her, holding his hands out as if building up some kind of presentation."Now, stop me if you've heard this before: Kid about this tall, brown spikey...Anime hair, kinda dimwitted. Keeps saying "My friends are my power!" Any of those descriptions ring a bell?"As he described this strange person, his descriptions came with exaggerated hand motions, along with a...Very poor attempt at mimicking Sora's voice when he mentioned that catchphrase. He waited in silence, giving Skuld an "Well, what do you think?" expression with his arms."Well, either waaayy. If you ever find them? That's our key! Uh...No pun intended! If you want to remerge the worlds? If you wanna find your friends? I'm sorry to say that a second war is necessary. But hey, don't shoot the messenger! I don't make the rules around here!"He would vanish in the blink of an eye, now sitting on a fence post surrounding the castle."And who knows...Maybe getting involved will let you find Ventus, too."He had a knowing tone to his voice, as if...He knew more about Ventus than he was letting on. Whether he was giving that feeling away knowingly, or accidentally was a different puzzle entirely."You're better huh? Good to hear, good to hear! We wouldn't want all those little memories to just up and vanish now would we? Although between you and me...I think having to remember all of my mistakes after forgetting them would be way too hard to handle."He'd cough from the awkward silence he made. The air was definitely tense."Safe way...?"He gazed up at the Castle's peak in pure silence. It was...Quiet here. Perhaps it was something Skuld might've missed before, but the only sound one could hear were the distant noises of celebration from the town. But even those were nearly like whispers from where they were standing. He would look back down at her, answering her question in a way only the master really could."Well, it's like I'm always telling you kids! Let your heart...Be your guiding key. It's just as true now as it was before! If you really want to find a way to save ventus... Just look..."He hopped off of the fence, slowly walking closer and tapping his chest with a single pointer finger."... Inside your heart."--- Skuld

Skuld respected the Master, even as confusing as he could be. But that didn't mean she liked the way he was treating her master like she did something wrong! Ava trained, Ava guided them. She was the reason they were able to bring the light into the future, the reason they could guide those that survived the war. Her friend... And everyone else to. It was the reason the Master's words got to her the way they did. It just wasn't true! Ava.. Master Invi... She remebered everything they did for her. The Master may have everyones history... He may know what happened and maybe even what will. But he didn't know people's thoughts. Thats why...
"Your wrong..."
Her statement was simple, she let it go after. Their was always the chance the Master was just messing with her anyway. Seeing how much he could prod her. It was best to just let him have his fun on this, even as much as it bothered. Usually she didn't mind his jokes but this one was... To much for her. Still... Their were likely a million reasons for him doing it to begin with, it was best to just let it go. It was his next words that made her freeze. Her face turned pale and her expression stunned. She... Didn't know how to react. what could she say? Her hands gripped at her side. She could only mutter one thing in response.
"Why?"
The man he described, this special person they had on their side... She coudn't say she met someone like him since she woke up. The closest she had seen came from the powers they were given to support themselves back when they collected Lux. Their were a few of those items inscribed with spikey haired kids. She assumed he coudn't mean Ventus because... They both knew he was already in trouble. She was still holding back her feelings on starting ANOTHER war. As a result the response that camr was as short as the last.
"Vaguely, Master"
She coudn't help giving a light giggle at the Master's impression despite her annoyance at the situation. He was always so weird... She could only imagine the confusion anyone went through when they met him for the first time. But the moment of happiness wasn't to last as he continued his explanation, still insisting that another war was needed. Why? Why did this boy make another war needed? More than that... How would another war help anything? His next words though shook her as he appeared behind her on a nearby fence.
"Ven..."
And the rest of her friends. She blamed herself that they were all missing right now. But how would a war save them? She could just... Find them... Bring them back together. She could find a way! They didn't need to go through that horrible.... Meangless war again did they?
"But why...? The last war... It almost destroyed everything. Why... Why do we habe to have another one?"
As for her memories? She shook her head. No that wasn't for her. She had to help the worlds, help her friends. She coudn't just forget everything and let the clock move foward.
"Burying bad memories is good for some but... I still have things I have to do, I need my memories to do that right?"
His explanation for helping Ventus was one she should have seen coming. Her heart... He was right. If she was going to save him she needed to follow her heart. She would find a way to save Ventus and the others. She would bring them home... So everyone could be happy. So they could make everything right.
"I will. I'll make things right but...."
But the one he said she would have to strike down. He seemed to skip over her question about him. Was he that sure she had to? No... She coudn't do that. She coudn't...
"What about Lauriam?"

"You're wrong". As if! As if...he could possibly be wrong, when his gazing eye saw everything. He simply stared at her silently, his eyes concealed by the hood of his coat piercing right through Skuld's soul. If only this poor child knew the truth. But really, there was no way she was prepared to hear all of it! After all, even the Master had a hard time keeping tabs on Ava."Why...? Why NOT?"He held his hands out, performing a "stop" gesture before continuing."Now I KNOW how bad this sounds. Yeah what a mess that last war was, right? But listen, there's...A lot of bad stuff coming. A BIGGER mess. Uhmmm... Don't ask where I got the details, alright?!"He shook his head, lowering one arm to his side and placing another on Skuld's shoulder, it was...A strangely calm grip despite how he had stared at her not moments ago. He lowered his head."Skuldy Skuldy Skuldy. Just trust me on this, alright? What's on the horizon is something NONE OF US can handle. Not you, not Ventus, not even ME! ME!!! But if you really wanna help, you just go and tell those foretellers this: "On that fated land, a great war shall transpire. Darkness will prevail and the light expire." They'll know what you mean! Hahahaa...I can just see their faces now..."He seemed to get quite a measure of amusement out of imaging just how shocked the foretellers would be to hear words that only their master would say. He chuckled quite heartily before clearing his throat, forcing himself to stop laughing."B-But uh, I guess I should warn you now. Some of them miiiight be a little sore about the whole...Disappearing act I did-Don't worry about it, you've got a real knack for talking to people, you'll handle it juuuust fine! Just go and tell them, and start looking for your friends, and before you know it, Ventus, Ephimer, that-that...Weird Brain kid. Who names their child "Brain"? Uh- And Lauriam! They'll allll be back home safe and sound!"He walked right past her, staring down at the little toon town sitting in the shadow of Mickey's castle."Does that explain why we need another war? Yeah it's pretty bad, but y'know what's worse? Knowing what's coming, and knowing we're not prepared for it. BUT Y'KNOW, THERE'S A CERTAIN...HEART SHAPED TRINKET WE COULD USE FOR THIS!"He let out a faux gasp, his hands placed against his face in false surprise."AND THERE'S OUR SOLUTION! Kingdom Hearts! BINGO! Just gotta go through with this whole "War" thing! Hope you're following me here, 'cause this is real important stuff!"He dropped the fun, comical master routine as Skuld insisted on bringing up Lauriam. How exactly was he to mention what became of that stray dandelion?"He'll have to follow his own heart in this situation too. Maybe you can help him catch up to it first?"--- Skuld

His glare pierced her, but Skuld stood her ground. She belived in Master Ava, she knew that she only wanted the best for everyone. Thats why she knew, he had to be wrong about this. But.. even more than that his next words got to her. Made her want to lash out at him for the way he treated the war so casually, like it was some kind of comedic relief to him. Why not? Then he tried to justify it... Call it a mess. It made her visably shake. Before she was confused, but the way he was treating this had quickly turbed that to anger instead. Was this all just a game to him?!
"But why do we need another war for that? The last one cost us so much... Why hurt everyone again with another?! These bad things... Can't we stop them without repeating that horror?"
She didn't understand why this must come to pass again. What was the point? How could reenacting that war save anyone? She coudn't see her friends wanting that, coudn"t see Master Ava or Master Invi wanting that. So.... Why? How could anything be worse than that horrible war? She coudn't imagine it. He told her to listen, tried to calm her with a hand to her shoulder. Though she took a breath and steadied herself his words continued to get to her. He even spoke of the Light going out, Darkness englufing everything. Be wanted her to tell the Fortellers that... Wait... Tell the Fortellers... Did that mean...?
"Their... Their here to? They survived?"
Coudn't he be serious for a moment? The Fortellers were strong but... Woudn't a message like that from their Master devistate them? She found herself caught up though in his words. Well, of course they were going to be a little mad... The prevuous war... Had it had any meaning at all? The way he laughed at the thought of another one coming... Did he not even care, or did it mean so little he coudn't show? Something else..? She didn't know, she didn't want to assume. Understanding the Master was a near impossibility for anyone, let alone her. He wanted her to talk to everyone. It was something she liked to think she was decent at. Though... She refused to spread despair or disaster.
"I'll talk to them, but... I won't let it happen, never! Joke or not... I won't let that fate come to pass again! I'll find everyone, we'll come together... And stop it"
Her hands clasped together-her face wrought with her determination. Never again... It would never happen again!
"I'm... Not sure about Brain. He's always such a mystery, maybe it's a nickname? But... We'll need him, Larium to! I... Will do it, I'll find them"
He wanted... To use Kingdom Hearts. Thats what this war was for, to stop this propchy. No. Ir at least... To an extent.
"Fine, I'll gather everyone, bring them together... If that is what they want Master... But..."
As she spoke she held out her keyblade and the familar spark of light shot from its tip, forming into that portal of light she was so familar with. She looked back to the Master, this time it was her turn to bare a cold glare his way, where the master' could be felt-Skuld's could most defently be felt and seen, her eyes were cold and her tone sharp.
"Let me be clear... I WON'T let them be used again"
She didn't know for sure. She had no proof. But it was like the Master always said right?
May your heart be your guiding key.
And in her heart... She knew what she woudn't let come to be.
Those thoughts squarly in her mind she stepped through, and let the light wisk her away.
[Skuld Exit]

He shook his head, remaining calm in the face of her anger, in the face of her pure shock. She was looking at it completely wrong! He raised a finger, stopping her."It's not about "need". Y'see, this war isn't just a fun little activity for the whole family; We've got no other choice really! I've already seen it!"He tapped the side of his head about the level of where his eyes would be with two of his gloved fingers."This is fate, kiddo. Much as I hate to admit it, you can't change fate! The foretellers tried that after all, and... Well, I think you see where that got us."He shrugged it off, it wasn't like there was anything they could have done. His gazing eye was absolute. The best anyone could really do is try to make the best of it - To gain their own leverage. He knew that as well as anyone here. Perhaps the best of anyone here.He watched as Skuld reacted with surprise at his request. He simply gave her a slow nod."I know! It surprised me too! BLEW MY MIND! I didn't think they had it in them, but it seems like they really pulled it off, they crossed the veil of darkness right back into the light again. The only question remaining is; What are they going to do now that they've got a second chance?"He waved his hands around without an ounce of seriousness as Skuld spoke of stopping things, of averting it all."Y'know, I feel like I've been here before. What do they call it? Urhh... Deja something or other."He tapped his forehead, trying to recall the word... Before giving up in vain and simply clearing his throat."Well, it doesn't matter really. Maybe you'll manage just fine! In fact I say go for it! You go and get all your friends, honestly if anyone can do it, it would be you after all! No doubt most of them will be pretty sore about all this... But do keep your chin up. You're a guardian of the light after all!"He "pretended" not to hear her final words, turning his back to her as she began to leave. He left her with one final word of advice, a message that despite him not "hearing her" so eloquently fit as a response to what she had to say:"Just remember this; Destiny has already been written. And like all others...
This world is fragile."In an instant a tunnel of darkness appeared, slowly swallowing the master before vanishing entirely. Like a phantom in a distant dream, as though he had never been there to begin with.--- Skuld [Exit Thread]
