Yuna has a kind heart and a helpful nature. She cares for people and has a habit of falling into helping almost anyone who asks for it short of clearly bad people. With this, she tends to drag along her friends or companions traveling with her for the ride. Though she has matured on her journey she can be a bit naive at times, often taking people and their words at face value and believing they're telling the truth way before she'd think someone is lying. Her nature as such tends to put the wants of others before her own. If she fails or feels as though she's failed someone shes quick to become heavily apologetic, even if the mistake was small or unimportant.

She has a strong conviction, more so towards tasks she feels is her duty to complete. Despite this she is a soft-spoken girl, rarely raising her voice unless something has well and truly gotten to her emotionally, whether it be in a positive or negative way. After two long journies, she has become more outspoken than she once was, able to actively hold cheerful conversations with others without trouble. Her journey has also made her familiar with the different locations and cultures of Spira, making it far easier for her to feel comfortable around just about anyone anywhere in Spira, minus special cases.

Yuna prefers to solve conflicts without violence and will go out of her way to try and talk to even an enemy before things must come to blows. That being said she is willing to jump right into danger if it ends up being needed and won't hesitate to do so. She has learned to follow her own dreams and desires thanks in large part to her relationship with Tidus. If upset the ex-summoner can be quite the stern woman if provoked, even coming across as intimidating to some. More than anything Yuna hates sacrifice. Not out of disrespect for those who would do so, but because she's tired of 'having to lose to win' in other words, people having to die in order to win and solve the conflict. As a result, she will actively reject and go against plans calling for sacrifice.

Final Fantasy X

Yuna was born in the capital of Spira, Bevelle, daughter to future high summoner Braska. When she was only four years old her mother was killed in an attack by the monster known as Sin during a visit to Home, the Al Bhed homeland. At the age of seven Yuna was left in Bevelle when Braska and his guardians set out to defeat Sin. They succeed when Braska obtains the Final Aeon and defeats Sin, disappearing in the process. Later Kimahri comes to pick up Yuna and after being told the fate of her father is brought to Besaid Village and placed in the care of the temple there, staying there with her at the young girl's request. From that day forward Yuna grew up in Besaid alongside Lulu, Wakka and Chappu, his brother.

The Calm did not last long, however, and a year later Sin had already returned. Yuna made the choice to follow in her father's footsteps and become a summoner in order to protect Spira despite objections of her friends on the island. She became an apprentice summoner, Kimahri standing with her as her first Guardian. She is later joined by Wakka and Lulu when the summoner they were protecting quit his own pilgrimage. A few years later Yuna descends into the Cloister Of Trials on the island alongside Lulu and Kimahri in order to earn the favor of Valefor and become a summoner in full. After spending a day of prayer she is joined by Wakka and a stranger brought with him. She later emerges from the trial having earned Fayth's favor and becoming able to summon Valefor. The village holds a celebration for her success, where she is officially introduced to the stranger, who's name becomes know as Tidus.

The next morning the group gathers together in order to set out on a ship to take them to Kilka. As they sail Tidus makes mention of his father Jecht, which leads Yuna to believe his story about being from Zanarkand. The boat is then attacked by Sin as they come close to Kilka resulting in most of the port along with the people on it losing their lives. Yuna does the ritual of sending in order to send the souls to the Farplane and after obtaining the temples Aeon Ifrit moves on to Luca for blitzball tournament held there. Later on Yuna, alongside Wakka and Kimahri search Auron after hearing rumors of him being in the town. In the process, however, Yuna becomes worried about them becoming separated, where Tidus offers a solution. A whistle to ensure they would be able to find each other.

Yuna is later kidnapped by the Al Bhed Psyches in order to force Wakka and his team to quit their blitzball match. However just before the game itself Tidus, Lulu, and Kimhari are able to save Yuna. After Tidus reveals how he was rescued when he first arrived in Spira he and Yuna have a talk about her uncle, and Yuna reveals her heritage, and that her mom told her she was to seek Cid out if she ever needed help. Upon returning to the stadium they find that it has become overrun with Fiends, where they finally find Auron who stands beside them in order to eliminate them. Ultimately the newest Maester of Yevon Seymour summons his Aeon to eliminate what remained. Afterward, both Tidus and Auron officully join Yuna as Guardians, Yuna shows Tidus that she has in fact learned the whistle he taught her.

Once they stop for the night along the Mi'hen Highroad Yuna takes the time to record on a sphere her farewell to each of her Guardians, which she intended to give to them before she performed the Final summoning. Tidus, unaware of her what she intends watched the sunset with her, Sharing with her his memories of his home. Not long after they arrive at the shores of Djose and witness Operation Mi'hen, though it ends in disaster with Sin overwhelming those involved, after which Yuna performs another sending for their spirits. She then shares a conversation with Seymour who asks to become her pillar of strength. Once the party arrives in Djose temple they meet a fellow summoner who warns them to be careful, as summoners had been going missing recently. After obtaining the aid of the Aeon Ixion Yuna oversleeps at a local inn, later waking up and chasing after her friends as they tease her for it and her unruly hair due to her rush. They then set off for the Moonflow. However Yuna is again kidnapped by the Al Bhed. This time using a Machina to perform the deed. However Wakka and Tidus manage to destroy it and rescue her. They later learn the pilot of the machina was her cousin Rikku and after a private talk Yuna makes Rikku her last guardian.

Upon arriving in Guadosalam they are welcomed by Seymour. He shows them an old sphere of Zanarkand along with Yunalesca and her husband Zeon, the first summoner who defeated Sin and her guardian. Seymour then proposes to Yuna, explaining that their union would bring peace to Spira. Yuna visits the spirits if her parents in the Farplane to help make her choice. As they leave however the spirit of Seymour's father leaves a sphere at Yuna's feet. Afterwards the group travels through the Thunder Plains and towards Macalania Woods to find Seymour.when they stop for rest at a travel agency Yuna learns from the sphere that Seymour himself killed his father. She does not revelation this this to anyone at the time however. As they come to the end of the plains Yuna announces that she had decided to marry but will still continue her journey regardless.

When the party reached Lake Macalania the Al Bhed once more attempt to kidnap Yuna but are fought off by Yuna and her guardians. Yuna then receives the power to Summon a new Aeon Shiva upon going to the temple before her guardians learn the truth about Seymour. Yuna confronts Seymour alongside her Guardians however he attacks them and the party is forced to do what at the time they thought was killing him. They are then forced to flee and end up trapped under ice, where Yuna reveals she intende to marry Seymour in exchange for the man turning himself in for his crimes. After Sin attacks again the party is thrust away to Bikanel dessert. Yuna herself was found by the Al Bhed and taken to there home. However they are soon attacked by the guado who kidnap Yuna and bring her back to Beville in order to force her to marry Seymour, who has now become an unsent. The wedding is later broken up when her guardians, with the help of the Al Bhed attempt to rescuse her. However when they end up at gunpoint Yuna id forced to complie with Seymour's demands. After the ceremony is complete Seymour orders her guardians killed. Yuna then allows herself to fall off the temple as a distraction, before summoning Vaelfor to take her into the temple. Reunited with her guardians the group breaks into the chamber of the Fayth and Yuna receives Bahamut's power. However everyone is arrested upon leaving the chamber. Put on trial treason. The group is branded traitors for Seymour's murder and imprisoned in the Via Purifico. Yuna alongside Lulu, Auron and Kimahri are able to escape after Yuna bests Isaaru in an Aeon duel. She later renunites with her other friends and upon defeating a fiendish form of Seymour escape to Macalania woods. Where Yuna's runs off to the spring wirh her faith in Yevon now heavely shaken. Tidus joins her and apologies to her, thinking he only made her sad. Yuna however insures him that their talks made her happy. Tidus suggests she quit her pilgrimage and stay with him. However Yuna considers it her duty and cries out only for her Tidus to hold onto her, the two share a tender kiss as Tidus comforts her. Yuna resolved to continue her journey, while Tidus promisez to stay at her side.

The party continues on through the Calm Lands on their way to Zanarkand. As they pass through Mt. Gagazet Yuna explains her resolve to save Spira to the Ronso there, where Maester Kelk Ronso allows them to pass. While traveling through the mountains Yuna finds a sphere of her father where he reveals he would be proud of me her, no matter the path she chose. They run into and fight Seymour once more but defeat him, finally defeat him again. However Yuna learns something important that affected her wish.... That Sin was Jecht, Tidus' Father.

Upon reaching the summit Rikku despairs about Yuna's fate but Yuna thanks her for everything she's done for her. Yuna without knowing drops the sphere she recorded for her guardians earlier and Tidus views it. As they travel Zanarkand they see visions of past summoners before finally coming upon Yunalesca herself. She asks Yuna which of her guardians will be sacrificed to become the Final Aeon. Not wanting to sacrifice her friends and learning the Final Aeon would only be a temporary solution and would become the new Sin later Yuna refuses to go through with it, declaring the Final Summoning a false hope that only continues the cycle of death. Resolving to defeat Sin without the summoning the party defeats and enraged Yunalesca, ending the tradition once and for all.

After this they are picked up in Cid's airship and Yuna meets her uncle for the first time. They return to Beville where Bahumat's fate reveals to them that they can approach Sin by way of the Hym of the Fayth while the key to defeating Sin is it's core... Yu Yevon itself. Upon hearing the truth about Sin the party re-boards the airship and launches a head on attack on Sin, allowing them to enter the beast itself. Upon doing so they encounter Seymour one last time. After defeating him Yuna is finally able send the man. Deeper in they come face to face with and are forced to fight Jecht, who takes in his Final Aeon form. They defeat him and when fighting Yu Yevon at the end must defeat each of Yuna's Aeons as Yevon posses them, finally putting him to rest and ending the cycle of death. However this is not truly a victory for Yuna as in addition to losing her Aeons she has to say farewell to Tidus, the man she had come to love as he was a dream of the Fayth now gone. Yuna is only an to proclaim her love as he disappears. Yuna later address the populas in Luca, telling everyone fo stay strong and not forget anyone, and that the dreams that have faded should not be forgotten.

Two years later Yuna lives a peaceful life in Spira, often visited by wandering people and mostly by Rikku. Both the factions rising in Yevons place visiting her to try and get her to support their cause but she remains neutral to both. An arragement is attempted to get her to marry New Yevon's chairmen but she turns it down, feeling the new chairmen would only try and use her. Rikku later come to her with a sphere showing someone who looked like Tidus. This makes Yuna want to travel again in order to find 'him' Rikku giving her new clothes for their journey she joins the Gullwings And starts her journey anew.

Final Fantasy X-2/2.5

Now a sphere hunter Yuna travels throughout Spira onboard the Airship Celsius alongside Rikku, Paine and the other members of the Gullwings. Ever since Rikku showed her the sphere Kimhari found Yuna has been search of treasure spheres, hoping to find more leads about the man in the Sphere, who looked similar to Tidus. Over the course of their adventures they gain a rivalry with another sphere hunting group, the Leblanc Syndicate. Their leader swipes her Garment Grid in order to take on Yuna's appearance and bold a concert using her image. When Rikku and Paine crash the concert Yuna is forced to keep a low profile by disguising herself in a moogle costume. When Rikku and Paine corner Leblanc's henchmen in the docks Yuna joins the fight and reclaims her garment grid in the process, afterwards she dances uncontrollably due to the influence of the Songstress dressphere.

When Brother detects a sphere in the ruins above Mt. Gagazet the trio is sent in to retrieve it, running into Leblanc and her goons along the way and racing them to the top. They retrieve the sphere when Leblanc and her allies get stuck on a cliff.

Later on news of an 'awesome sphere' begin spreading around Spira. In addition to catching the eye of both the New Yevon and Youth League groups the news also reached the Gullwings. Yuna ultimately decides that the two groups can't decide for themselves who should have the Sphere then they should take it for themselves. The Sphere again shows the mysterious figure, this time standing before a large machina like weapon. However Yuna begins to doubt the man being shown is Tidus whrn he mentions a woman named Lenne, she also begins to wonder who that woman is. After viewing it the group decides to return the sphere. Later that night it's decided Yuna should sing to lift everyone's spirits after having to return the sphere. At the end of this concert Yuna becomes frustrated thinking about Lenne, wanting to know who she was anf how she related to the man in the sphere, as she was still unsure whether or not he was Tidus. In the end she stomps off in a huff to bed. She then has a dream of her and Tidus being gunned down by Solder's, to which Rikku blames it on her sleeping in the Songstress dressphere. They learn the weapon showed in the sphere is called Vegnagun. Leblanc and her goons then break into the airship and steal the broken half of a sphere they found along the way. The Gullwings then proceed to steal uniforms from the members of their group in order to sneak into their base and retrieve the sphere in Guadosalam, where they learn that the Syndicate had already repaired the sphere. After a brush with Leblanc and the others she 'lets' them watch the sphere, from which they learn Vegnagun is hidden deep below Beville. Upon breaking into it once more the group enters the underground and in the end they are forced to fight a returning Bahumat, with Yuna begging it to stop the entire time they fought. They find Vegnagun is now missing from his resting place.

As fiends begin to poor from the temples and the leaders of Spira's factions go missing the group is forced to fight and fend off the appearance of the Aeons in the temples across Spira. Shines them reveals that the fiends are coming from the holds formed in each temple. After a conflict with Ixion Yuna is separated from the others, shot into the Temple's chasm and into the Farplane. She awakes to see herself dressed in the Songstress dressphere. She then meets the man she kept seeing in the spheres, learning his name is Shuyin she expresses his emotions to her and his distaste for Spira's inability to change, mistaking her for Lenne in the process. As they embrace Yuna feels Lenne's feelings through the dressphere. It is revealed by the other leaders interference that Shuyin had possessed Baralei and is using his body to travel fo the heart of the Farplane. Yuna almost gives up trying to escape the Farplane but hears Tidus's whistle and an image of his form. Following it she is able to emerge back in the Bevelle Underground and is reunited with the rest of the Gullwings.

Across Spira tensions begin to rise. Yuna resolves to sing a song for everyone, gathering them together on the Thunder Plains and broadcasting the song through Spira. Lenne's memories are shown to all through this performance... And everyone begins to work towards peace. Yuna, now aware Lenne needs her help to express her feelings to Shuyin resolves to go to the Farplane to find him.

Once more in the Farplane Yuna is forced to fight her remaining Aeons one by one. Deeper in it is revealed by Bahumat's hate that they were corrupted by Shuyin's malice when they triwd to stop him. Upon confronting Shuyin Yuna denies Nooj's plan to sacrifice himself, sick of having to lose people in order to get a happy ending. After destroying Vegnagun and reuniting Lenne with Shuyin their both finally put to rest and Spira returns to peace. As they leave Yuna is approached by Bahumat's Fayth a final time. He asks if she wishes to see 'him' again to which Yuna says yes and the Fayth says that they will do what they can. Yuna later hears his whistle and leaping form the cockpit of the airship as it comes to the beach of Besaid embraces a revived Tidus once more.

After another adventure between the two Tidus and Yuna travel to the place she and her guardians once sat together in Zanarkand. Yuna questions whether Tidus is still a dream or if he's real now, the answer to which nether know for sure. When Yuna asks if he'll disappear again Tidus simply remarks they should cherish each other and all the time they have together Yuna hugs him before playfully pushing him in the water, remarking that 'he didn't disspear' Yuna prays they can be together forever but remember what happened on their recent journey together, knowing the truth of what she did but refusing to reveal it to Tidus, knowing what would happen if she did.

Last Mission

Three months after going their separate ways Yuna and Rikku receive a letter from Paine, though at the time it is not known to be from her, calling them back togrther to climb to the of a place called the Lutycyr Tower. As they do so each explains what they've been up to since splitting up. Her cousin has become convinced Yuna doesn't want to see her anymore much to her worry. Yuna reveals that with Tidus' return she has begun to settle down, no longer needing the change of pace that came with joining the Gullwings originally. She mentions having met Tidus as 'someone' but doesn't reveal to the pair who, however there ablr to discern who fr their words alone. Yuna and Rikku get in an argument, Rikku accusing Yuna of wasting her life while Yuna accuses her of fooling her with her goal if keeping herself busy and worrying about others far to much.

Paine reveals she had sent the letters, wanting the trip to have another adventure as they once had. Though she admits to making up the bit about something special being at the top of the tower. However Yuna still insists they keep going. The trip begin to fear growing apart, knowing each one of them had begun to change since their separation. When they reach the top they decide to go their separate ways but cherish all the time they had together. With their friendship restored the device responds and they enjoy a beautiful view before continuing on with their lives.

Kingdom Hearts 2

(Some AU used to bridge the gap between games)

Brother brings the trio of Rikku, Paine and Yuna back together again in order to search for a 'very valuable sphere' he learned about from a stranger, said to be hidden deep in the Calm Lands. However upon finding it a rather crazy string of events began to unfold. The Sphere warped the area around them and sent them to another world! A place called Hollow Bastion, later returned to it's original name of Radiant Garden. However they land in Malificent's castle and, incuring the evil witches rage were turned into fairies and forced to work for her in order to turn back.

To this end they would run into Sora, question on them on what Leon's group was up to on the world, per the request of their 'employer' a fact Rikku almost let's slip before Paine stops her. They then teleport away one by one, Yuna apologizing to them before leaving about bothering them. They appear again during the mass attack of Heartless later on asking Sora what happened to Malificent, upon Sora's revelation that she ran away they get annoyed, remarking on how lame she was for doing so as well. They also reveal they had in fact they had been working for her. Sora asks that they instead help the Restoration Committee, which Yuna agrees it is what they should do, asking if Leon had any treasure they could have for doing so. Sora lies to them, saying they do anf Yuna and crew go off to help Leon amd the others.

Later on they discover they were tricked and confront Sora about his lie when he returns to the world. They decide Sora should hand over all his items as payment, both for their services and his not telling them the truth. Sora however outright refuses to their annoyance. When he apologies however the trio relents. Admitting that Leon told them of his fight agaisnt the Organization and the tough journey they had so far. Instead they state they will give be rooting Sora on and give him a keychain for his Keyblade before departing.

Later on the trio is able to get in contact with Merlin and with his own magical powers he restores the Gullwings to their original human forms. Yuna now desires a way to return to their home and the friends and loved ones she had been separated from.

"I will live with my sorrow, I will live my own life! I will defeat sorrow in his place. I will stand my ground and be strong. I don't know when it will be but someday... I will conquer it... And I will do it without false hope"

Yuna couldn't help but think that maybe she shouldn't jump on every lead they stumbled upon. Or at least not ones from complete strangers. It had happened twice in the last couple months. The first time Brother got a lead on what was supposed to be an very valuable sphere hidden down in the Calm Lands and asked her Rikku and Paine to help obtain it. The only problem with that was that when they found said sphere it sent them far away from home. Not just from the Calm Lands or to some unknown temple ether no. That one sphere sent them to an entirely different world! Not only that but they ran into a creepy old mage when they landed in her castle. Later on they learned her name was Malificent. Of course that was after she reduced them in size to little fairies and made them work for her to turn back... Except she up and disappeared later and left them hanging! They got lucky in that the other wizard there at the time, Merlin was able to find a way to restore their forms.

So she should be happy right? They had all been returned to their normal forms now, she could actually carry her weapons again! But... She wasn't. How could she be? Nothing had gone right! The sphere was a trap, they couldn't even get any treasure while they were here!

"And... Your not here..."

Yuna had become much more independent since the time of her pilgrimage. She learned to stand on her own two feet and live for her own happiness. But... She couldn't help it. She was given a miracle. He was to. Finally they were able to be together again. But now because of that one sphere a whole world set them apart! They went through so much... And now fate threw them another curve ball. Not just Tidus but everyone else to. The only ones she told had been Wakka, Lulu and Tidus. She assumed she would be back withen a few days after getting Brother his sphere. Instead she had been stranded here in Radiant Garden for... Well she had lost track of time. But she knew everyone had to be worrying. Heck if it had been long enough Tidus or Wakka had probably went about tracking her down themselves.

It just... Hurt. It seemed like no matter how hard they fought something ended up happening. They lost their loved ones and the Aeons to stop Sin. Now again they were separated after putting Shuyin to rest.

"Why...? Stupid sphere!"

Bawling her fist she hit the bench she sat on in frustration. It was all that dumb spheres fault! because of it her whole world had been spun out of whack again!

She gave a jolt from her place on that lone bench. Through the sky she heard a familiar sound. Like a promise waiting to be fulfilled. Her eyes were wide and her mind raced with possibilities. Was she hearing things? Was her mind telling her what she wanted to hear? No, no she didn't care! She pushed herself to her feet and began running in the direction she heard that familiar sound.

His whistle.... A promise that they would always find each other. She put her fingers to her mouth and returned it with her own as she gave chase.
