A long creaking groan was the sound that awakened the mouse king. How long he’d been knocked out was really anyone’s guess but between his momentary wayward journey in the dark and crash landing into the castle of none other than Maleficent, Mickey imagined that he’d been missing now for quite some time. The mouse realized as his eyes groggily began to adjust that he was in a cell…a ship’s hold. But the way the ship rocked was nothing like the patterns of moving water. Mickey’s large ears meant sensitivity to sounds that most others did not notice, and he heard nothing to indicate water. Where on earth was he? Whose ship was this? He looked to his left to note another cell finally having become alert to the fact that he was not alone down here.
That mass of red hair framing a pouting feminine face. Mickey’d met her, and if she was here…then he realized sadly that his attempt to get her that head start away from Maleficent had been futile. The mouse king attempted to get up and realized when chains rattled and he tripped and fell onto his tummy that he was chained up. His hands were shackled before him as well. He glowered at them a moment before turning his attention back to the neighboring cell. Was she awake?

✉ notes: i hope you like this template!╾ mizo both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. One of her friends had fallen. Now, it was likely with the lack of another precesnce in this cell, that another had fallen. There was no way that Maleficent would have simply released Alwyn and the boy likely would not have left without her. So, it made her options rather clear. The only thing she could do was fight to free herself before locating Rojo, if he hadn't been killed already.
The thief kept her eyes closed as she heard a little bit of rusling from near her. It took a moment before she opened her eyes, slowly. A rush of sadness, yet relief, washed over her as she saw Zest's helm sitting before her on the ground. That's when she began to lift her head to see the mouse standing there looking at her. He was the last person that she truly wanted to see. She had promised to escape and bring him help. Now she'd been sacrificed for the greater good, that was when she was supposed to be getting back up. She was sure the mouse was debating his chooses. "......The name's Vani. Did they bring anyone else in?"

Evidently the noise he'd made from the rattling chains was indeed enough to stir her. She was alive and she looked like she'd be alright. His attention briefly flickered toward the helm she seemed to be very concerned for before she introduced herself and asked a perfectly valid question. "I'm Mickey." he greeted in kind and he took a moment to gaze all around them. It was dark down here in this hold and it was tough to see much of anything. He had a strong feeling that it was just the two of them down there just from the sheer absent feeling he had but it was his duty to at last try. "I dunno" he admitted as he lifted a gloved hand up a bit, though not nearly as high as he'd have liked to thanks to the shackles around his wrists. His glove began to emit a glowing white light as he brought forth a healing light for them both. Even from the help of that glow he could see that it was just them in the cells.
"I think it's only the two of us, Vani." he informed her somberly his expression a bit downtrodden. "Are you missing some of your friends?" he asked softly, his mind still wracked with worry over the friends he'd left to the realm of darkness. He could only hope that they found their way together. He knew a lot of them so well. Riku and Sora wouldn't have let anything happen to the younger ones. That hope was what kept Mickey's heart in tact. The worlds needed that from him.

✉ notes: i hope you like this template!╾ mizo both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. The small mouse spoke up in the rather dark room, introducing himself. Vani nodded politely as she sat there, letting out a defeated sigh at the mouse's lack of optimism. The glow did catch her attention as she noticed him check the rest of the dungeon. Alwyn was nowhere to be seen. That was not a good thing. Maybe if Vani had complied with the witch, she would have been placed with Alwyn. At least she would of known his current fate. Now she didn't know where any of her comrades were, except for Zest. She nodded again at the mouse as he asked the question. "Sadly, yes. Two of them. One, I am afraid, that witch has. The other, I've been searching for. The third, I only recently learned his fate."
The thief laid her head back against the wall of the ship and looked up at the ceiling. "I apologize that I was not able to get you any help." She felt guilty for leaving the mouse behind and then completely failing to find help. "I take it we are in the witch's dungeon?" She inquired as she tested the strength of the chains she was shackled to. This caused the chains to echo slightly as she sat there. It was no use.

The young woman confirmed what Mickey was hoping wasn't true and the mouse's ears sank. "Gee, I'm sorry t'hear that." he offered his condolences though he knew a 'sorry' really wasn't worth much with the worlds as they were. She really didn't know him at all but if he could offer more than that he certainly wouldn't have hesitated. It was the young lady's turn to apologize after that for being unable to escape to find help. "That's alright." he promised her. No sense in dwelling on what was done and over with. The time now was to problem solve.
Vani's assessment wasn't entirely unfounded. "It's not that simple I'm afraid." he told her looking out through the cell bars with determination. "We're mobile. This is a ship's hold." and depending on where they were stranded, escape could get complicated. "Hmmm." his eyes narrow in on the cell door. It was locked in place by a large bar. No lock it seemed. It wasn't as though he expected Maleficent to forget about the keyblade.

✉ notes: i hope you like this template!╾ mizo both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. Vani listened as the mouse offered her sympathy. It was unusual to get such a sentiment from anyone. The thief was used to being relied on to save the world. They warriors tended to catch hell if they failed or where not able to do the impossible. So, it was strange to hear such a thing and for someone to accept that they were not perfect and almighty. Vani felt her eyes watch the mouse a bit curiously. He was certainly special in some way. But, there wasn't time to dwell on it. There wasn't time to dwell on much of anything. It was bad enough that she was having trouble finding her way out of her own pity party. She needed to be strong and rise up to fill the void that Warrior left in their group. Rojo did not have the will to lead and Alwyn would feel the pressure. Honestly, Vani did not feel fit for the task either.. but she couldn't leave it on their shoulders to bear. She would need to try and lead and keep their hope bright.
That's when things became complicated.
An airship? They were locked in the hold of an airship? That seemed odd. She had a castle. Why would she waste her resources to lock them up in an airship? Was the mouse that dangerous to her plans? It was quite curious. It took her a bit to realize that her chains did not have keyholes either."...I take it that the chains are magically bound. I don't see any way to pick the lock... and I'm not powerful enough or knowledgeable enough to know a spell to break the binding." She admitted. She was fresh out of ideas.
"Do you have an idea of how we are going to escape such a predicament?"

"The chains?" he wondered aloud as Vani mentioned the possibility that they were magically bound...but even so, the keyblade could undo any lock so long as a lock was what he was dealing with. He shot the cell door holder a dirty look. Simple machines were an entirely different matter unfortunately...but an idea was coming to him if he just...? Mickey looked over to the young woman again. Her question as to whether or not he had any way to get them out of this predicament finally gelled the whole thing together. "One of us at least." he told her with a determined brightness in his voice.
"Vani can ya try ta face away from me and turn out your wrists? If I can just see the keyhole...I might be able ta get ya free!" he explained enthusiastically. "Scoot as close to the bars as ya can and hold very still okay? I'll get ya out in no time!" He promised. "Tell me when you're ready." he told her as he turned his back to her side of the cells. This was going to be tricky. Mickey didn't typically wield his keyblade backwards but he knew someone who did and his memory and love for that person would surely aid him here.

✉ notes: i hope you like this template!╾ mizo both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. The thief of light was a bit thrown by the mouse's suggestion. He seemed insistant that he could get at least one of them free. If that was the case, then it should be him. He seemed to be the target of this Maleficent. She was only caught up in the crossfire seeing as she'd been someplace that she shouldn't have. Vani began to protest, but it was obvious he had some sort of plan. The woman presumed he had some sort of magic to break the binding. None of her skills would help. Maybe the teleportation... but without knowing her current location it could be dangerous. Alwyn had told her as much. Plus, it wouldn't help Mickey get out of here either if she simply disappeared on her own. She wasn't a coward.
Vani shifted as best she could to face away from Mickey, twisting her arms a bit as she did. It was quite awkward, but she managed to do it. "I believe I am ready, Mickey." She expressed. She had no idea at all how he planned to get her free or how they planned to escape this vessel. Maybe if someone came to bring them food and water, they could fake still being captive to overpower them. The only problem is that they had no idea what sort of fortifications the airship had and how many enemies were going to be on board. It would be tough, but she could certainly take out a good few of them undetected until it became known that the person bringing food had not returned.
"Do you have something in mind? To get out of here?"

He watched her maneuver as he thought she could. She certainly looked like one of the more sneaky rogue-ish types and he didn't doubt that she was probably flexible enough to turn her wrists out the way he'd suggested. Vani seemed hesitant but she moved to do it anyway her back swinging around to face him and her small wrists turning out and exposing the lock to him. She had to hold it though. Vani told him she was ready and he replied brightly. "Right! Good job, I knew you could do it, Vani!" he brought his oversized hand down to point the teeth of the key blade toward the lock. "Hold still." he told her, the tiny keyhole in his sights. He wasn't sure that it mattered if she moved once he had focus on it.
She asked if he had something in mind to get them out of the ship as a whole but he didn't say anything right away as he honed his focus on the lock of her handcuff. It unlocked with a soft 'chank' sort of sound and Mickey chuckled. "Haha! You're free!" As for getting out of here...Mickey frowned in thought. "I don't know what's out there around this ship, or if Maleficent and her flunkies are up there waiting to lock us right back up. Vani I think I can help you get out of here but you have'ta trust me. Ya gotta believe!"

T-T both were silent. there were ways for kicking and screaming. The thief didn't have much faith left at the moment. She had only recently learned the fate of her close companion. Then, the thought of Alwyn and Rojo being missing was weighing heavy on her mind. Being alone once more was frightening. That's when she heard the click of her cuffs. Was that some sort of magic? Vani lowered her arms, rubbing her shoulder a bit before rolling her arm to get some feeling back in the remainder of her arm. It wasn't a comfortable position to be in. You'd know if you'd ever been handcuffed with your arms above your head.
The thief shifted to the cell door, her fingers touching the lock to see what kind of mechanics it had. It didn't seem too complicating a system as she shifted to pull two small objects from behind her ear. It had been quite a long time since she'd had to open a lock, but it was like rowing a canoe. You never forgot how to do it. Her delicate fingers worked without help from her eyes as she did her best to find the tumblers. If that didn't work, she could always pop the door off the hinges. That just seemed like extra work if she was being honest though. Why work harder than you had to.
"Once I get this lock open, I'll see about getting you free or finding a goon with a key." She explained. It was a tough concept to understand, this keyblade thing. Mickey was her first experience with such power and magic. "Mickey, if you don't mind my intrusion... Why is this sorceress targeting you?" She inquired, glancing up briefly as she worked her nimble fingers on the lock, hoping she might hear a click shortly.
