Chip and Dale's Double Trouble Birthday Cup The town of Disney is all the rage on this day. Balloons are hanging from every available surface, and the entire town is nearly covered in either confetti, or devices to spray confetti. A special event was underway: Chip and Dale were given permission by Minnie to throw a huge tournament for everyone in the town. Because they were such a great pair, they wanted the tournament to show of the greatest two man teams in all the worlds. Now, here they sit behind a tiny announcer's table, with tiny microphones, jumping excitedly at the start of the tournament. Where there was once a gazebo, now stood a tile arena floor, very similar to Olympus Colliseum's arena. "Oh boy!"Yeah, Chippers, we got a great match for everyone!""Mhmm! First up is-"Posting Order: @maeve, Tidus, @paine, @zest

"Maeve Rakshasa!"The crowds erupted in applause as a rather fearsome looking woman stepped into the ring. With her muscular form, numerous arms, and armor like scales, she looked positively bred for battle. Yet the esper, despite all appearances, had a bright smile on her face as her fiery gaze looked about to the brave new world she had entered. The excited people, colorful confetti showering down, warm sunshine, and electricity in the air filled the girl's heart with determination as she stepped into the ring.
"Let this be a wondrous battle!" She declared to the crowd as she pulled her weapon free from it's sheathe. The crowd gasped with awe and amazement as Maeve's blade: Fateburn, revealed itself. She swung the massive cleaver forward creating a distinctive 'boom' as the blade effortlessly sliced through the air. She smiled, showing off her dagger-like teeth while casually spinning the ultra-greatsword by the handle in a bit of a flashy flourish much to the delight of the masses. The thrill of combat was something that was such a primal but alluring high for the dragoness. That, combined with the energy of the crowd, made it so Maeve couldn't help but get into the moment of it all.
In truth: she had entered this tournament in order to try and find more information about the scattered worlds, (or more specifically, the different sorts of people who inhabited them) but that didn't mean she couldn't have a little fun while she was at it. Maybe she'd even end up making a new friend in the person she was partnered with. That'd certainly be a nice bonus to the whole thing.
"Come face me like true heroes! I am ready for anything!" She cried out, her body erupting with an aura of silvery white light as she began charging her magic. The crowd, once more, erupted in a choir of excited cheers as the girl made her dramatic call to action! There was no more stalling, the wheel of fate had begun to turn.
This was gonna be a match to remember!

Stepping into this world was certainly interesting. Compared to Spira with its monsters and other creatures that inhibited the lands this town was quite peaceful and carefree looking. “Man, this place looks dull, “ He told himself as he put his hands behind his head and walked around the new world. Wandering the streets of this place made him think a little bit of Luca from his world with how big it was and how the people were doing so many different things. He passed a place run by some ducklings that were shooting ice-cream as a game. It certainly looked interesting and Tidus would have attempted it had he not seen the poster about the upcoming tournament neat-by. It was a two on two tournament with a cash prize for the winner and with the blitzball season being over he signed up while exclaiming, “Alright something real fun!”
Since he was alone in this world he would have to be randomized a partner for the actual match and when he was told it would be someone by the name of Zest he just shrugged, ignoring the name of his opposition, and made his way to the stage. He wasn’t the first one on the stage in fact it was one of his opponents. A woman of interesting physical descriptions as she seemed to have a multitude of arms. “Well she isn’t the weirdest thing I have seen yet,“ he said aloud as he made his way to the stage with a Blitzball in hand. He began to spin the ball upon the point of his finger for a short period of time before hitting it into the air with his head. As the eyes of the crowd were following the ball he pulled out his sword, brotherhood, and gently tapped the ball with the tip of his sword. Balancing the ball upon the he struck a battle ready pose before adding, “Let’s do this.” He gave a nice smirk as he waited for the appearance of his partner and his other opponent.

Fool, you shouldn't stare into these eyes of fire. TAG. @maeve , Tidus @zest WORDS. 527 NOTES. "This'll be interesting." | Warrior Dressphere Active |
Paine had thought she would never find another sphere like the one that had taken the Gullwings off of Spira. After all, it had been a good few years since they had split up, and none of them had heard a word about spheres that made people vanish, as far as she knew.
And yet..here she was. In some self advertising town. Disney Town was what it was called. There was no real problem with the place. It looked peaceful, like there had never been a problem here. And yet..Paine stuck out like a sore thumb. Everything here was distinctly colorful. Then there was her. A woman clad in black, silver, and red.
So with a sigh, Paine started moving down the asphalted road she had appeared in the middle of. Thankfully, there was a staircase nearby. As she walked up it though, something caught her eye. A poster wrapped around a lamppost. Huh. So there was a tournament going on here. Maybe that was why that sphere had taken her to this place.
So, she wandered the town, passing a horse-like man standing next to some kind of machine, and then walking into what was very obviously going to be the staging ground for this. So, she walked up to the desk and looked at the team roster, along with the sign up list.
There were a few people listed already, but she didn't recognize any names. So she picked a name at random. She paired herself up with what she could only assume was a woman named Maeve Rakshasa.
When the matches were finally announced, and people were paired off with their partners, Paine was proven to be right. Maeve was indeed a woman. But she was rather tall, and had a multitude of arms, along with a massive sword. Hm. Well if they had a ranged opponent, Paine could handle them. When the announcers trailed off after calling out who was up first though, Paine gestured for Maeve to walk out first.
As she watched her though, she had to chuckle. Well..she certainly was similar to some of her friends. She had the same level of energy as Rikku, at least. Then one of her opponents walked out. While she hadn't recognized him by name..she knew the face. It was that man that Yuna had been so excited to see at the end of their adventure against Vegnagun.
Once he was done showboating, Paine walked out, her expression blank as ever as she came to a stop, standing next to Maeve and crossing her arms beneath her chest. "So I see you got off of Spira too, huh?"
She asked Tidus as her outfit shone with a bright light..only for the appearance of a rather large sword to be the only change to her outfit. She had activated the Warrior Dressphere. The only Dressphere she could remain in indefinitely. As her weapon fell however, she caught it quite deftly, spinning it around to be gripped properly as she propped the weapon up against her shoulder.
"This should be interesting."

It hadn’t been that long since he had encountered Vani, his travels seemingly lead him to different places and once again Zest found himself in yet another new location. It was a world filled with an abundance of light, a world that held a feeling of great cheer and joy. In his travels, Zest had begun to see many different kinds of cultures and even managed to get used to the more advanced forms of technology that was above Cornelia’s, but even so, it did take some time for one to fully adjust to a new location. Luckily for Zest, he did not stay in one location for long so it was easy for the knight, but he knew that rushing too much was not the best.
There was growth for Zest, growth that would make him stronger and make his resolve even stronger than before. If he wished to continue fighting and defending others then he needed to get stronger whenever he had the chance and to prevent himself from getting dull. It was with this thought in mind that he acknowledged the flyer posted around the town about a tournament that was to take place. Normally Zest held no interest in such things as public displays for crowds as he would usually leave such things for Rojo, but this tournament was a perfect chance for Zest to test himself.
The process of signing up wasn’t a challenge in the slightest and in the end Zest found himself now a combatant in the tournament. It wasn’t about the prize nor for glory, but for the experience and nothing more. To be able to fight against powerful opponents with different styles of fighting was a reward itself. Of course, this didn’t mean he didn’t aim to reach as far as possible. As this tournament involved working with a partner then it would have been insulting to utilize anything less than his full effort.
The time had finally come for Zest to draw his blade and fight once more. From what he was told he would be paired with somebody named Tidus, a name that somehow felt familiar to him despite the contradiction of the fact that couldn’t recall ever hearing that name before. Whoever this Tidus was, Zest could only hope that their fighting styles would be able to work well together.
The loud cheers echoed throughout the entire area, even deep within the resting area Zest could hear the pangs of their excited voice. With his sword in his right hand and his shield held with his left, Zest began to make his way towards the arena in which their fight was to begin. His metallic steps echoed with each step, almost completely drowned out by the sound of the cheers around them. Eventually coming to a halt, the helmed warrior glance around the area, taking note of the terrain and most importantly took notice of those who shared the arena with him. Before him stood two women, a powerful looking one with numerous arms and a big blade while the one beside her was a swordswoman with what some could say was a cold looking stare. To his left was a blond hair swordsman, the one Zest could tell was his partner Tidus and with that in mind Zest turned his head to fully look over at Tidus calmly. “Let us fight with all our might...my sword and shield is with you...” Zest said calmly giving his partner a nod before turning his gaze back towards his opponents.
Eyes closed calmly as Zest held his blade before his face, the tip pointing skyward. “Come! Let us begin!” Zest declared as he gripped his blade’s hilt tightly.Tag: @maeve Tidus @paine

Maeve's smiled as she saw the remaining people fill in to the ring. One by one, her excitement grew for she could already tell that these warriors were experienced just from the way they carried themselves. Her eyes settled on each choice of weaponry with curiosity. The armored one's tastes seemed simple enough: it was hard to go wrong with a trusty sword and shield after all! She was, however, more than a little curious why the sandy haired youth was carrying what looked to be a toy ball with him. How could he possibly fight with something like that? She was certain she was going to be finding out! Judging based solely on their looks: Maeve figured she'd be better suited to face off against the knight in the more ornate armor than the boy and his ball. Besides, it seemed her partner had recognized him. Perhaps that'd give her an advantage? "Partner..." The esper spoke softly as she glanced aside to Paine. "I shall challenge the man garbed in armor and keep his attention on me, if you need any aid do not hesitate to ask. We esper are known for our powerful magic and protective magic happens to be what I'm best at." Maeve spoke with a confident smirk as she let her 'Shield Oath' activate as if to demonstrate. The opposing team would be able to see the dragoness flash with a white light before the glow around her formed an ethereal shell that covered her body. "Besides, it'll give you a chance to catch up with your friend there." With that she casually approached the two. "Since we are to clash blades, let me introduce myself. I am Maeve Rakshasa, the Golden Swordswoman. I came here to meet the champions of worlds I haven't seen. I wanted to see the best of what they had to offer. So do me a favor and don't disappoint me will ya?" She let the fire in her heart burn brightly with more determination as she pointed her mighty cleaver toward Zest. "I hope that shield of yours can hold up against my strength!" Maeve shouted as she shot forward like a bullet. Her eyes remained glued on the Warrior of Light's as she made her approach. Upon getting just at arms length she'd slam her foot against the ground to stop herself suddenly "TAKE THIS! TSUUYAAA!" She roared as she suddenly gave the blade a swing. In that moment she transferred all the weight and momentum of her dash into one crushing horizontal swing that was aiming for Zest's shielded side.

The next to enter the arena was a girl whom Tidus knew from Spira. “Paine! Here I thought it was just someone’s clever nickname they entered for themselves,” the youth excitedly said while giving her a goofy smile. It was nice to see a familiar face around town even if it was one of the more dour faces Tidus knew. When she made her comment about getting off Spira he had to respond, “Well it’s not the first time I had left Spira.” He chuckled slightly at the thought of having to explain that for him Spira was a dream and a reality all at the same time. How he wasn’t truly the Tidus of the Zarankand they knew, but was also the same. It was certainly a confusing tale even for him to understand. Still he was happy to see Paine anyways.
“How’s Yuna?” he asked thoughtfully thinking of how he hadn’t seen her since he had gotten here. He was certain if anyone knew her whereabouts or how she was it would be Paine. Tidus hoped to talk over with the fellow swordsman, but they had a match to get going and with the appearance of his teammate Zest it would be time to start soon. His teammate certainly was of the valiant type with his manner of speaking. It made Tidus feel almost dimwitted in comparison still this was a fight it wasn’t about brains, so much, as it was about strength. Still it wouldn’t help to make sure they didn’t fall from the first swing so Tidus shouted, “Bring it on” He watched as the multi armed woman began her attack and Tidus had to act fast. He cheered on Zest by shouting, “You got this!”
Not watching to see what happened Tidus directed his attention to Paine. It looked like she would be his opponent for this portion of the fight. He shrugged slightly before saying, “Don’t take this personally.” He took the blitzball from the tip of his sword and chucked it at Paine, wither shot, aiming for her stomach in an attempt to cause her to lose her breath. As the ball was flying towards Paine he decided to cast a spell. He would try and make them sluggish to hopefully give them an advantage. He cast Slowga upon both Paine and Maeve in an attempt to give him and Zest some time to do some damage.
Actions Taken:
1: Used Cheer on Zest and Self (Raises party’s Strength by one tier and lowers incoming damage by one tier)
2: Used Wither shot on Paine (throws a blitzball at the opponent dealing minor damage)
3: Cast Slowga upon Paine and Maeve Slows down the actions of all enemies (reduces number of actions of opponent by one)

Fool, you shouldn't stare into these eyes of fire. TAG. @maeve Tidus @zest WORDS. IDK NOTES. Abilities Used: 1) Combat has started, enabling the activation of Dressphere Change: Unlike Yuna and Rikku, who have abilities outside of their dresspheres, Paine's abilities are entirely based on these mystical outfits. As such, she has learned of a more efficient way of channeling and changing outfits. While within a dressphere, she can only use abilities associated with that sphere's tree. She cannot change into another dressphere immediately upon equipping one however. Instead, she must wait two (2) posts before she can change spheres again. Once a sphere is donned however, she can only wear it for four posts, meaning she must use her abilities wisely. Unequipping her dresspheres and returning to her normal attire does not invoke a charge or duration. (Note: The Warrior Dressphere is exempt from the duration rule, as it is her default attire.) [Change Charge: 2 posts | Dressphere Duration/Cooldown: 4 posts] Current Charge: 1/2 2) Paine charged at Tidus upon realizing that her opponents were given a status buff, swinging at him with Flametongue: One of the four basic elemental attacks, Flametongue heats Paine's weapon up to an extreme degree, causing it to ignite and deal fire damage to the next opponent it hits. (Cooldown: 1 post) Thus nullifying Tidus's chain of actions after using Cheer. 3) Paine swung at Tidus with a normal attack, or with the Flametongue buff still active, provided he dodged her previous attack. |
Normally, Paine would enter into combat without knowing anything about her opponent. As such, this was pretty normal for her. She had only ever met Tidus the one time. She knew his name, but little more than that. So, she had to prepare herself to switch spheres at a moment's notice. However, he had actually asked about Yuna. It should have been expected, but Paine merely shrugged. "I know about as much as you do. The Gullwings split up shortly after Vegnagun was defeated." She explained as she moved her sword, holding it at her side.
Last time I saw her, she was alright though, if that'll ease your mind." She said as she kept an eye on Tidus. And thankfully, that would pay off. When he yelled to his partner, there was a palpable change in the strength surrounding the both of them. So without saying much more, Paine rushed forward, sprinting at full tilt to swing at Tidus before he even had a chance to do much more. Ah, no you don't! You're gonna have to focus!" She yelled as she went to swing at Tidus again, the air around her blade shimmering as she swung the weapon at Tidus!
Paine knew enough about changing the attributes of opponents to recognize when someone used a strength enhancement. If Tidus was going to open up by doing that, there was no way to tell what he would use next. If that blitzball was something he had brought with him, then he must have had enough skill with aiming it to send it firing off at people in the midst of combat. She couldn't stay too far away.
The aggression needed to stay constant, and she needed to harass him enough to not be able to focus on affecting her partner. If they were going to win this, she couldn't allow any kind of attribute change to occur. With that in mind, she swung at Tidus a second time, pressing on him with an aggressive fighting style, one that was filled with a near constant barrage of attacks. She wasn't going to be an easy fight.

A battle in which one didn’t have anything to lose other than glory, it was something Zest usually did not have the chance to take part in. Fights to protect and fights to slay, those were the kind of fights he was more so accustomed to. This truly was a nice change of pace even if he was not really much in favor of all the attention he was receiving from the crowd. He preferred to merely do his job without aiming for praise, but even still, he couldn’t deny the people’s cheers were somewhat invigorating in some way.
His eyes begun to try and gage the threat of the opponent before him, but the only way he would fully get a firm grasp on his opponent’s strength was first hand in battle. He was ready to fight and the grip on his weapon's hilt was firmly held and ready to use them to strike. Swinging his blade to the side and glancing up at his opponent with his usual stern look, Zest listened to the 6 armed woman named Maeve introduce herself to him and Tidus and with it he gave her a nod. “I am Zest...Show me your strength” Zest said as he swung his blade to the side and narrowed his eyes.
He could feel his strength increase the moment he heard his partner’s words of encouragement. This encouragement not only boosted him physically but strengthened him mentally and made his resolve stronger than before. With Maeve’s declaration that she would challenge his shield, the fight began and Zest instinctively gripped his shield tightly and pointed his sword downwards as it begun to glow. With great speed, the multi-armed woman immediately begun to cross the distance between the two of them and immediately swung his giant blade to his left side. A loud and powerful clang erupted as the blade made contact with his shield, but Zest stood strong and held his shield against the blade. His feet moved back a tad, but Tidus’s boost allowed him to hold against the sudden strike.
As the swords and shield made contact Zest immediately pushed off the ground and kicked backward, his shield scraping against the sword, but at the same time Zest swung his sword upwards, releasing his Shining Wave. Numerous light pillars began to burst out from below as they traveled towards the esper, with how close range they were Zest attempted to slash Maeve as well with the initial upward slash he used to release the powerful move. Even if his sword was stopped, the light would still burst forth. While he released the move and jumped back, he continued to push with his shield against her blade in an attempt to keep her from using her sword for defense.
Intending on keeping some distance between them for a moment, Zest continued to soar back from his jump and the moment he felt his shield no longer making contact with his opponent’s blade he quickly kicked off the ground once more and kicked back again, this time twisting his body and spun in the air, releasing his shield and tossing it straight at Paine with all his strength. His legs landing once again on the ground, Zest’s legs slid a tad from the movement before then gripping his sword once more in preparation. Actions:1. Zest uses his shield to block Maeve's strike 2. Zest proceeds to jump back and releases Shining Wave at Maeve from close distance. 3. Zest jumps back again and tosses his shield straight at Paine Moves: Shinning WaveThe warrior of light immediately sticks his sword into the ground and immediately swings the sword upwards. Upon doing so pillars of light will burst out of the ground and head towards the enemy. (3 post cooldown)Tag: @maeve Tidus @paine

Maeve kept up with Zest even though he had batted away her strike. She wasn't going to give up her pressure if she could help it. She glanced aside briefly to ensure her partner was still doing okay until the sound of Zest raising his blade forced her to return her attention back to him. Her headfins shot up in alarm as she saw the blade swipe down before a torrent of light magic exploded up from it to consume her. "SHELL!"She called out reflexively as a wall of translucent and interlocking octagons was traced in front of her. The wall would flash in defiance as the torrent of light magic crashed against it only letting half of it's payload get through. The remaining half of the magical damage battered against the second layer of her defense provided by the 'shield oath' before finally hitting her. She made sure to counter the swipe with one of her own only to get caught in the shield lock Zest had prepared. The force of the magic and shield bash, while severely nullified by her layered defense, was enough to knock her back a bit. Despite skidding back she kept her stance. The light burns weren't enough to make her stop just yet! "That move of yours was really something... Maybe after this you can show me how to do it?" She asked, with a genuine smile as she righted her stance and prepared to attack once more. Much to her surprise, however, She looked up see the warrior airborne again. Her fiery eyes narrowed to see him cast aside his shield to attack her partner. Seeing this as a chance to strike while he was open, Maeve would sheathe her blade before sprinting toward the warrior at full force. Paine would just have to deal with his attack herself, at least this time. "Hey! Don't lose your focus! I'm not out of the running yet!" As soon as Zest landed Maeve was on top of him. With a furious roar she lowered her stance mid sprint and attempted to wrap her arms around the warrior to tackle him to the ground. If successful: She'd bring him to the ground before settling on top of him. To continue her running grapple: Maeve would smash her 6 fists against his face in a brutal flurry of punches before finally jumping back.

“Well this doesn’t look good,” Tidus remarked out loud as he watched Paine head his way to interrupt his attacks. The young blitzball star needed to think on his feet and wasting time on jumping between opponents wouldn’t seem to work at least this time. So he stopped himself from doing his current attacks and prepped for her attack. She was charging for him and she seemed to have a plan in mind and he wasn’t about to let her hit him so quickly. The first to make contact would prove to have an advantage in the fight and Tidus wasn’t about to let her have that advantage. So Tidus flipped backwards from Paine’s swing barely dodging the heated swords attack and before she could swing again Tidus thrusted forward with his sword at her. “Water versus Fire huh,” Tidus commented towards Paine, “Sounds like a fun fight to me.” The bubbles of his sword would increase to the proximity of the heated sword giving off a small bit of noise. He could use this to his advantage once her sword would stop omitting its heat he would be alerted to it by his own sword. If only he had a full water attack he could probably cool down her sword himself, but for now he would just have to wait out her blade’s heat. Close range was his specialty anyways, but with his blitzball he would be able to get some range if needed. He needed to assess the situations in order to prove victorious.
Continuing his momentum of his first attack Tidus pushed off more from the ground and attempted to tackle the swords-woman. If successful it would launch her into the air, causing aerial status, and he would unleash a flurry of kicks into her abdomen. This of course would put them at a distance to the others, but that was fine as Tidus could use it to surprise Maeve with an attack with his blitzball. He chucked his blitzball at Maeve hoping his years of being a blitzball star would prove useful. If the ball connected it would do only minor damage, but would stun the woman making this battle either a temporary two versus one or give Zest the opportunity to deal some heavy damage to their multi-armed woman. With his angle of where they would be in the air he was certain she wouldn't see it coming, but he wouldn't rely on the possibility she might not sense the ball incoming and with her many arms she might even catch the ball. Still his current opponent was Paine and Tidus kept his focus on her as much as possible instead of the monster woman.
Actions Taken:
1. Tidus used Cut and Run to dodge Paine’s attack and immediately thrust forward to do minor damage.
2. Tidus then uses Jump and Jolt on Paine to deal heavy damage
3. Used Sphere Shot to throw blitzball at Maeve to stun and do light damage

If anything could be said about Yuna's friend, it was that he was a very capable warrior. Perhaps that was why Yuna's equipment in the Warrior Dressphere seemed to mirror Tidus's own. He had dodged nimbly out of the way of her twin attacks, and had almost immediately followed it up with a quite literal stab at getting the first attack in.
Unfortunately for Tidus, Paine had quite a bit of experience in all types of combat. So without missing a beat, she inverted the grip of her weapon, causing a large gout of steam to spread out from it as his weapon's watery point collided with it.
This gave her enough time to dodge out of the way of the attempted tackle that was sent her way by using her already extended blade as leverage, using the flat of it as a lever which she sent rocketing upwards, attempting to catch Tidus in the chest and knock him away, even as her feet moved in such a way that even if she missed, Tidus would end up merely connecting with the ground behind her.
Unfortunately, she hadn't caught a glimpse of what was happening with Maeve. As such, she only caught the glinting of Zests shield once it was already on the way. Compounding this with the fact that Tidus had switched tactics and had thrown that blitzball at Maeve, she only had one reaction. Within seconds, her entire outfit began to emit light again. "You both ought to be more careful."
She said as her outfit changed, revealing her to be wearing a style of garb that would be very familiar to Tidus. It was the same kind of Hakama that Auron wore. However, hers came in wildly different colors, and included the traditional sandals and armor, including her helmet.
The weapon however, was completely unique. It was a two handed weapon. At least, that was what the length of the blade would imply. However, its true length was hard to know. After all, it was curved. However, strangely enough..Paine didn't attempt to stop the shield, allowing it to collide with her, sending her stepping back a couple times before the fire in her eyes finally lit, along with her left hand finally gripping her weapon properly.
And yet..she continued what she was saying as if nothing had even connected with her. "Because I'm not picky about who I cut to pieces." She said as she gripped her blade with both hands now, raising it to be level with her face. A deep breath allowed her to center herself, and suddenly she seemed to be able to take even more damage, if the swirling vortex of green and red light covering her body was anything to be said.
She could have been even riskier, and taken the steps to be even faster for the next set of attacks. But as it stood, she had been having trouble landing a hit on him. The way he tossed that ball around though made one thing clear..whoever Tidus was, he knew enough about blitzball to use the ball as a weapon on land. That was going to be a problem.
Even so though, the true power of this dressphere had yet to be demonstrated. She just needed to take another weak hit like that shield toss. Then she could turn the tables rather quickly.

Zest was one who was never haughty. He always fought with all he had and he always showed respect to his opponents. He never looked down upon an enemy and even after sending his powerful strike at Maeve he knew that that was nothing more than a mere move to start the true fight. He couldn’t just see his opponent as merely one, but had to see them as two. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust his comrade in this fight, but if they could claim a decisive opening or at least fully gauge their opponent’s strength then it would lead to victory.
The shield in his hand escaped his grasp as he tossed towards Paine however in that moment he heard a voice call out to him and his attention instantly shifted back over towards Maeve once again. He had hoped that his strike at the very least pushed her back and did more, but she was resilient and that glow coating her was perhaps the reason why. He couldn’t afford to go blindly into head to head combat with her as her 6 arms and build would pose a great threat. As his feet began to descend and touch the ground, the woman had already begun to make her way towards him.
The very moment his feet made contact with the ground he dug the tip of his armored feet into the ground and spread out his arms, dropping his sword as he did so. As his sword begun to descend from his hand the esper’s tackle made contact with his body, causing his feet to skid back against the ground. Zest could only cringe at the blow and grit his teeth as he looked down at Maeve, but he wasn’t done just yet. “Saber!” Zest suddenly let out as his body began to glow and his strength increased further.
The feet that once skid across the battlefield came to a halt as they stood firm upon the ground preventing the warrior’s body from falling back. Zest had always prided himself in his strength. Though numerous battles Zest had always had to rely on his physical strength, it was one thing that set him apart from his other two companions. With his strength he was able to combat against Garland’s demonic strength and numerous other monsters as well. With the boost from his ally and his own boost, it allowed him to face off against the esper’s strength with a firm resolve.
Zest’s legs shook a tad as he held the stance, but as he looked forward he noticed an incoming projectile sent by Tidus and immediately Zest utilized his free arms and immediately held down the woman’s arms as they wrapped around his body. Whether or not the blow strikes Maeve, Zest would then release her arm and then place one palm onto her shoulder. With the other arm he would then place all his strength into his elbow and slam it onto the spine of Maeve, all the while pushing back in an attempt to break free of her grasp. If she does release him then Zest would merely jump back to clear some space.
Actions: 1. Zest drops his sword and is struck by Maeve and takes some damage, but stops her from pushing him down by casting Saber and utilizes the strength increase from both the spell and Tidus’s Cheer. 2. Zest immediately attempts to hold down Maeve by placing his arms over his arms and holds them down as Tidus’s Sphere Shot heads towards Maeve. 3. Zest proceeds to push against Maeve while using his other arm to slam his elbow onto her back in an attempt to break out of her grasp and jump back.
Moves Used: Saber A spell that can be cast by utilizing the giants glove. This spell is a spell of enhancement that increases the warrior's strength (1 post duration, 3 post cooldown)
Moves on Cooldown: Shinning Wave The warrior of light immediately sticks his sword into the ground and immediately swings the sword upwards. Upon doing so pillars of light will burst out of the ground and head towards the enemy. (2 post cooldown)

Maeve was quite shocked to say the least to see that the human had been able to stand against her immense strength. Perhaps there were more to humans than she had previously considered? Regardless, Maeve would continue to push against him creating a few waves of force that rippled around them. As they remained locked in place in their contest of strength, the crowd around them erupted with a sea of cheers. "Dropping your sword because you saw I was unarmed? Your honorable resolve humbles me Champion." Maeve commented, honestly impressed that he'd do such a thing. "I shall make sure to do my best to give you the same amount of respect! You certainly deserve it...Zest." She gave a genuine smile before furrowing her brow to push once more. Due to her focus on the man before her she had no way of knowing that Tidus would lash out at her while her back was turned. At least until Zest had wrangled her free arms. "H-Hey now! What are you doi-" The ball slammed against the back of her skull causing her vision to rattle a bit. "GUH!" She choked out, a bit of spittle escaping her lips as her grip around the warrior's torso slackened. She didn't let go until she felt that heavy elbow crash into her spine. Even with all her magical defenses she was still crumbled by the empowered knight. In fact, the severe shock of pain that screamed through her body caused her to voice to pitch upward into a yelp as she fell to her knees. "A-Attacking...From...Behind?!" She managed to stammer as she tried to focus her vision. She clenched her fists while using her arms to keep her from collapsing entirely. A pulse of raw RAGE pounded into her heart as she tried to regain her bearings. "B-Bastard...You'll pay for that..." She snarled, glaring back at Tidus.

This battle was turning out interesting for the blond swordsman. Paine seemed to be a great opponent as she seemed to know what she was doing. Tidus smiled upon their sword colliding creating steam. Though not enough to visibly distort their sense of sight he had to comment, “Bring it.” He guessed her fighting style would be flexible with how she was able to deflect or dodge his movements so he anticipated being hit by her sword in this scenario. He wasn’t in a good position since he went to tackle her so he readjusted his body and took the hit on his gauntlet. The metal of the sword clanked upon his gauntlet causing him to be pushed to the ground. Using the momentum he tumbled back to standing position. He glared at Paine and knew he had to do something so he quickly cast Hastega upon himself and Zest. She may have got the first hit on him, but it wasn’t very damaging in fact if anything he might have to re-stretch his arm later, but he knew he would be fine.
Roll for Quick Hit wTRC1d5b1-10
He watched Paine begin to glow and he knew he had to act fast so he quickly made his way to Maeve, whom was stuck in position with Zest, and aimed to slash at her legs with a quick hit. His goal was to immobilize her and keep her from moving. He was successful in stunning her slightly with his blitzball so hopefully with this hit he could cause some damage to the strongwoman. Afterwards he would run a distance back away from Maeve and Zest and stare Paine down. She was now wearing a new outfit that made her look somewhat like Auron. This annoyed Tidus as he felt a copy-cat was not something someone should attain to be. So in response to her new outfit he shouted at her, “A bigger sword won’t make you stronger.” He aimed to provoke her into attacking him. He wanted to keep her attention on him while he and Zest did their best to wear down Maeve. If he was luckily this tactic would work and Paine would rush him. He prepped for the worst either way.
Roll for Provoke 1-5
OOC: I accidently wrote Jump and Jolt in my last post’s Cool-Downs instead of Hard Tackle. Sorry about that… they had the same cool-down so it still works out I guess….

Tidus ran up to Maeve and used Quick Hit (User rolls a d10 and if the result is an eight or higher the attack doesn't count to their actions.) 3. Tidus used Provoke on Paine [Draws in enemy attacks by using a d5 (a 4 or 5 results in attacks directed at user)]
