She could hear whispering, voices both human and of the astral plane, but were they calling to her, or were they simply surrounding her, in the silence she had found herself in. It was very strange, to find herself in this half-quiet surrounded by the whispering voices. Some of them she knew, others, quieter, were those who called out anew to her. Oracle, Lady, hear us, protect us, watch over us.. they whispered. Prayers, pleas, and questions. And then there were those she had sought to commune with, for Noctis's aid. They too, whispered, but it was not in her physical hearing; they were speaking in her mind.
In her current sleeping state, she could not concentrate to make sense of the astral voices' words. She had been so tired, so profusely exhausted to her very core, as everything had taken a very physical toll on her. She was resting now, that was enough for her. Noctis was beside her, she knew without opening her eyes; she could feel his presence. Worn out, they had both come to a place of rest, and she did not want to leave this state of absolute peace and tranquility. However, the whispering continued, and the new words began piecing together in her mind. She was needed.. She needed to awaken, to rise from her sleep and attend to the duties requiring fulfillment as the Oracle. She could not simply lie here, and so she would not.
With a deep breath, Luna opened her eyes, and stared at the ceiling as the voices faded into nothing, no longer could she hear them. It was with a strong sense of growing confusion that she slowly came to full consciousness and awareness, sitting up rather quickly to survey her unknown and stark surroundings. Everything was clean, very clean, white bed, sheets, blankets, with steel railings and a panel of buttons and blinking lights and noises. Where was Noctis? And where was this place? She did not have any recognition or memory of where she was. How had this come to be? What had taken place, here?
A white plastic thing was on her finger, she pulled it off with slight effort and almost immediately a series of beeps and noises sounded, and they jangled with an alarming and caucophonous racket in her ears, adding to a growing headache. Struggling to get out of the tightly-tucked sheets and blankets, Luna called out uncertainly, hoping someone she knew would hear her. She heard footsteps, several of them, coming toward where she was. Hopefully they would hear her and be able to help.
"Hello? Someone, please? I have to get out of here, there are duties I must attend to, people I need to help!"
Sometime later, Luna exited the medical facility, entering into beautiful, wonderful bright sunshine. She marveled at the light, seeing the brightly shining sun sitting high in the sky; signaling mid-day. She had been assisted by two nurses, who had accompanied a lady who had said she was a doctor over the hall Luna had been admitted to; several questions had been asked on both sides, the doctor querying Luna on her health and well-being, Luna responding and questioning in turn if anyone had come looking for her, or if perhaps Noctis or anyone else had also been brought to the hospital. Not even her brother, Ravus, had been mentioned.
The answers were all disappointing, but not discouraging, as she learned she had been the only one found at the entryway to the medical center, and she had been unresponsive to any efforts to awaken her. She had learned she was not in Eos, but this did not seem to surprise the doctor; instead she had commented that many who did not live here traveled to and from the world known as Radiant Gardens.
And it was a fitting name, too. She could smell the aromatic scent of flowers carried by the breeze, and she wondered absently how her own garden might be faring, without her to tend it. Hopefully, someone would be caring for the beloved Sylleblossoms in her stead. For now, she needed to decide what to do next; and how to get home. She looked around at the street in front of the center, wondering where to head, and debating searching out the gardens everyone here seemed to enthuse about. [attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] He shouldn't have returned to this world. There was danger in his visit, remembering how some days ago his actions had caused quiet the scene. No, how the actions of the scourge had caused it. Ravus ignored it however. He knew that Radiant Garden was still one of the main travel-routes for many people that could wander through the stars and also it felt like a good place to start looking for something to give his life new meaning. He had not forgotten what Dieter had done for him and he won't throw his life away like this. The gods must have some kind of plan they followed by having revived him and the scourge was now weak, even though it was inside of him. An other outbreak won't happen for now and he had gotten the time he needed to think straight. Of course, he felt different knowing it was only sealed away in him for now and since it's presence on him had faded, his body felt stiffer and weaker than usual. Maybe it was because of his magitec arm having been infected by it and his strength was reduced by the scourge's seal in some way? It didn't make much sense in the ways technicians would think about it, but this inhuman power must have come from the evil in the fake arm in some way. There was no other explanation he had right now. He had decided to take a walk and look for a good place to train for now or just to find some peace to maybe send a prayer to the gods for guidance. It surely must have been fate bringing him here today, because when he entered the plaza close to the medical quarters of this world, his eyes would catch a glimpse of something familiar... Blond, long hair, a white dress, those round, blue eyes and a face with features that mostly followed him through his nightmares and dreams of the past, though her body was always still, unmoving.. blood covering her white gown. The royal could almost feel how time seemed to slow down, his eyes widening and unable to understand what they were seeing in front of him right now. It must be a dream.. or a trick. There, on this plaza, stood his sister.. like nothing ever happened to her. Like her death had been a bad dream. How was this possible? He had seen her leave him forever in Altissia. He had seen how the life had left her body and felt her cold skin in his hands. His mouth was slightly open, a short gasp all he could really muster for a moment as he just continued to stare at her. His eyes tried to look at hers, catch a glimpse of any spell that could have caused this hallucination to appear before him, but all he could see was the honest blue she always carried with no darkness inside of them. His feet started moving without him even realizing, his walk turning into a sprint as he approached the person he was thinking to be- no he was CERTAIN to be his sister. “Lunafreya!!”, he screamed, his eyes however covered with pain and an emotion even he couldn't describe. He almost ran her over, his arms grabbing her shoulders to look directly into her face, like he was still searching for a trace of fakery. “L...lunafreya...”He continued to stare into those eyes... and still, nothing changed. She was here? She was really here? His features would now soften slowly, a tear almost spilling from his eyes. “It.. it is you... beloved sister.. You are here.”

The sun was warm, and comfortingly bright; it reminded her of home. The light was definitely here, but it seemed this world, too, had encountered some kind of darkness. Different from Eos, but darkness nevertheless. It was as she turned to look up the street that most likely led to the garden area, that she felt a great pang in her chest; because there in the sunlight was her brother. Her breath caught, and she blinked twice in the brightness to ensure it was not merely her eyes and the light playing tricks, making things she hoped for appear. And as she seemed to see him, so it appeared that he saw her.
Their eyes met, and Luna finally breathed, searching the depths of Ravus' eyes as she looked for reaction, for reality and substance, proof she was not imagining him, that he was not a mirage or vision born of her anxiety and yearning to see him again. And when he screamed her name, moving across the plaza toward her, she knew beyond a doubt it was him. She moved to meet him halfway, and his hands on her shoulders were sturdy and comforting and reassuring, though at the same time he seemed worried and anxious and uncertain. Her arms would come up and she would place her hands on his, blue eyes gazing into his, as she would try to reassure him that this was not a dream, that she would not disappear.
Without a word, for indeed it seemed they would not suffice in this moment, Luna would wrap her arms around her brother tightly, holding him close to ease both of their worries that the other was not really here, and she felt his strength, and heard his breathing, and could almost feel his spirit, the will that had carried him through so many trials and tribulations. It seemed in troubles and spirit they were similar, and though their childhood had ended abruptly and they had been separated, Luna has still believed in her brother.
It seemed fate, or the Astrals, or something in any case, had smiled upon them, taken compassion on them and allowed them to meet again in the living world, unseparated by the duty of fulfilling the prophecy of divided by the Empire's scheming. She would pull back just a bit, her hands clasping his, to look up into her brother's face, turning to walk with him down one of the more shaded streets that, from the aroma carried on the breeze, led to a garden area.
"You're here!! I was so afraid you would have been in despair, lost to me forever. I could not discover what had happened to Eos, or Noctis, or you or anyone else. No-one here could tell me whether anyone had come here. Why are we not home? Have you seen Noctis? What about his friends? The Empire is finished and gone, is it not? We are truly free now?" [attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Blue eyes would look at him with deep shock, before they would be replaced with something he had not seen often in them... happiness. She put her arms around him, Ravus doing the same and pulling her close to his chest. Feeling her so close he knew.. he knew she was real. He knew she was here and this wasn't a dream. And if it was a dream, he wouldn't want to wake up again.. never again. All Ravus had ever cared about after the death of his mother was his beloved sister and seeing her in front of him was his greatest wish come true. She pulled away and took her hands, her happiness taking the better of her how it seemed. She wanted to walk with him, go to a place where they could sit most likely and talk in quiet. She had so many questions and so many things she wanted to tell him. Ravus would walk beside her, his eyes blinking a few times before he would move his hand up, carefully placing his human fingers on her mouth to gently silence her for now. “Hush, Sister. I know there is a lot you want to know and I will do anything in my power to answer your questions.”, he would say calmly and collected. He would follow the scent of the flowers in the air to the garden, his eyes detecting a bench close to the road. He would guide his sister to it and offer her to sit down, he doing the same. Taking a deep breath, he would gather his thoughts and try to answer everything she wanted to know. “The gods have granted us their favor, I assume. We are both here, together...”His eyes traced her for any wounds or other pain she could be in and when he found nothing, his eyes would soften. “Our home is save, Lunafreya.. and Noctis is well, too. Your dream of peace has been fulfilled, just like you always prayed for.”Yes, Eos was no longer in the hold of the scourge... there were things that threatened the stars still, but Ravus wouldn't tell her. She had been given a chance to live, something he had always wanted for her to experience. Freedom. Happiness. All this could be hers now. He would lean into the bench slightly, closing his eyes for a moment to gather his thoughts again. “We are not on our star, Lunafreya, but I can bring you back home. Do not waste any thoughts on trying to understand all of this, sister. You are alive and that is all that matters.”
Yes, she should not get involved into the matters of the other stars. He just wanted her to return to Eos and find peace. This is all he had ever fought for.. to protect his sister and he would continue to do anything he can to bring her the joy she was denied as a child. At least one of them should... “Everything will be alright. You are free.”

Her brother's relief, happiness, and all-too-familiar protective aura were almost tangible, so overwhelming were the emotions she could sense in him, though she too was rather overcome by similar emotions, so happy was she that they were here, really here, not a dream or spirit or afterlife conjuration, but truly and wonderfully real and actually together. No Niflheim Empire to pull them apart, no encroaching darkness or Starscourge to send them on separate paths of duty; at least for now, in this singular moment. Nothing could separate her from her dear, dear brother. Nothing ever would, if she could help it. As they would hold hands and walk, Luna would turn her head to Ravus, as yet another question occurred to her.
However, she would be promptly silenced by her brother's fingers against her lips in a silent request for quiet. He led them to a bench, where they could be surrounded by the aroma of the flowers and be out of the way of passerby. She would sit when he indicated, watching as he sat near her. She would study him, as she was sure he did the same, and was heartened to see that, outwardly at least, Ravus was safe and sound, with no harm. She wondered what he might have endured that she had little idea about, outside of their captive years together she had found the two rather separated by the Empire. It had been mournful, knowing he was her only surviving family and yet not be able to see him as they ought to have; but the stolen moments together, the secret talks in her Sylleblossom field, had brought her both gladness in a desperate hour, and same that their futures seemed to hold nothing but darkness, and time lost.
She would listen quietly as her brother explained what he knew, and the bewildering statement (though she was already rather certain) that they were not home at all, but another world altogether. How amazing! And yet simultaneously strange and curious. How was this possible? Did people simply travel from one to the next? Was this much like the 'beyond' elders had spoken of? Or something entirely different.. She would visibly brighten at the mention of Noctis, a warm expression filling her face and posture, and she would smile in great relief and gladness at the revelation of home being saved; everything had been fixed, after all. However, she didn't presume to believe that there would not be any more threats; indeed, there was always danger. She clasps her brother's hand, eyes searching his. Free, yes, that was a wonderful feeling. True freedom.
"And you, dear Brother, are you free, as well? Are you well? I know that you will do what you feel is right and good to protect me, even at your own cost and suffering. You would tell me, if you were unwell or burdened, wouldn't you?" You're my Forever template by Sammy @ Adox 2.0

[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] The happiness Ravus felt inside of his body was so bright-full, it even drew a smile on his usual serious face. A honest smile. The gods couldn't have given him a better gift than the life of his sister to return to his side, her duty no longer burdening her shoulders in a world not connected to Eos. He would have wanted to hug her and hold her close in silence for hours, whispering comforting words to her and tell her what she could do now to make a smile appear on her face that would never fade ever again. Seeing how her face was brightening up by what he said about Noctis and Eos, it seemed his dream was truly being fulfilled. The smile on his face wouldn't fade as he watched her understanding, but once she mentioned his well-being, the smile would falter slightly... She wanted to know about him and his well-being. Of course the curse he held within him came to his mind, but telling his sister about the demon's that plague him? Now that she could live a life she always desired? He would.. drag her down with him once more and the thought formed a lump in his throat and weighted heavy on his heart. “Beloved Sister, your burdens have been lifted. You no longer have have the duty to heal those in need. You no longer have to do as the gods tell you to... You can focus on yourself for the first time in so many years. I won't take this from you.”, he said firmly, but with a soft tone to his voice. “All I want, is to know you are happy and so I will be happy as well. Any burden I carry would be erased by your smile.”He wasn't lying. He would move on, even more now that his sister was alive and able to find freedom. It only sparked his will to keep on fighting the evil in his body and keep it away from her and her dream. “You don't have to worry about me, Lunafreya.”

Lunafreya would watch her brother's face in earnest, seeing a smile that had been so very rare since the events that had occurred in their childhood and set the path for their young adult lives. She has never seen him smile since that fateful day, and the countless days that faded into weeks and months and years thereafter had been increasingly dark, forlorn and hopeless. Even in their secret talk in the Sylleblossom garden, she had not once seen the heavy weight of anger and hurt and resignation lift from his shoulders. She had been so sorrowful, knowing they could never again regain what had been lost in childhood, and that their futures seemed to only hold more darkness and despair. She had wanted nothing more for her brother than to see his burdens abated, and his heart and soul lightened, unchained, unbound from the trauma and destruction and the dark unfairness that had, she felt, been life for him since the invasion.
Seeing his smile and his genuine happiness filled Luna with hope; perhaps her brother had indeed finally been freed from his past, able to have hope and choose his own destiny, rather than having an oppressive invader telling him what to do and always watching. When his smile faded, and the ease with which he spoke and the relaxed way he had been sitting tensed, and his manner became much more withdrawn, she feared that this meant he was not free, not entirely, despite that their world was saved and the darkness should be gone. It was clear that he didn't really want to talk about it, and while she understood his wish to keep her from being concerned or feeling that she must worry for him, she also felt a sadness that he was once again in a place, figuratively, that she could not reach him, or be connected to him, as if there is a space between them that cannot be crossed, though they sit side by side.
She places a hand on his good arm, not the Magitek manufactured limb, her blue eyes solemn, yet they are like pools, clear and calm and filled with emotion, of understanding, of empathy, and yet also sadness. She does not speak for a moment, the silence filled with the ambient sounds of the breeze rustling leaves, birds somewhere chattering, and a little bit of noise from those going about their day. She looked to Ravus, and she squeezes his hand.
"I do not wish you to keep me set apart from your troubles, brother...but I will not intrude where I am not wanted. This does not mean I will not be beside you, or that I will not aid you, as I feel I should. You are my family, and I will do whatever I must to ensure your happiness and wellness, as well. I cannot be so selfish as to only look for my own well-being.. Please do not be upset with my words, Ravus. I will help you, if you will let me. All things in time, just so."
