"Hee-hee-hee! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives are lost?" The little people scrambled about the markets, trying to find the best deals they could get while under the watchful eye of the city guard. They had seen quite a lot of strange things in the intervening years. Genies, street rats becoming princes and even sandstorms that were far more persistent and destructive than normal. However, nothing was quite as strange as the black creatures called "Heartless" that showed up. They came in many sizes and many forms but they seemed to just keep coming, no matter the efforts of the city guard. Efforts to try and keep them out of the city were usually in vain, although these days they seemed to not be attacking as much. Indeed, there was more Light than Darkness on this world with the evil Jafar nowhere in sight. Of course, that didn't mean Agrabah wasn't being threatened by outside worlds. In fact, an entity would be doing that very thing in a few moments and he would be far stranger than anything the people of Agrabah had faced before. "WHO DECIDES TO BUILD CITIES IN THESE STUPID CLIMATES?!" Kefka shouted. He was irritated at the heat making him sweat. He didn't even have loyal chumps to sweep the sand off of his boots anymore. Towns in the arctic, towns in the desert, what the heck was the point of it all?! You either freeze to death or get scorched by the sun and die that way! It was all so meaningless. Even more irritating was being unable to absorb the magic from that demon and that goody-two-shoes mage back on his home world. Even worse, he was now away from his home world and he hadn't even blown it up yet! Needless to say, Kefka was itching to destroy and this town with all of its USELESS inhabitants was the perfect antidote for that itch! Kefka floated down to the city streets and almost instantly, the townspeople backed away and shrieked at the flying jester who had such a malicious grin on his face. He cackled wildly as he looked at the cowering citizens. "Awwwww, why so scared? Such awful looks on your faces! I know, it must be the heat! Well, luckily for you, ol' Kefka knows the perfect to COOL OFF!"Kefka then fired a large block of ice at the market stalls. The block of ice slid through the stalls, destroying them and sending people flying or just running them over. The block even bounced off walls to make it even more unpredictable. Kefka laughed uproariously at the chaos and destruction he was causing. A few men of the city guard advanced on Kefka. "How dare you! Don't you know how many civilians you could've killed?" This only caused Kefka to laugh even louder. "And here I thought I was the funny one! My good man, what fun is destruction if none of your "precious" lives are lost?! Honestly, you are just too much! Don't you know anything about MAGIC?!" Kefka then fired another block of ice at the guards. It stopped in mid-air, but before the guards could wonder why it did that, the ice block exploded and the shards shot through the guards, destroying them in an instant. Kefka's high and cruel laugh echoed through the city streets as the wave of chaos swept through the city of Agrabah. word count @tag notes if you want

There was no place like home. However, when you are in a town in the middle of a desert, sometimes it feels rather nostalgic. He was feeling right at home, even if it wasn't his home per say. But, the weather was just right. Yes, he did like the green fields and the trees and the ocean breeze. But, it was nice to have the dry desert air to make you feel like you never left home. Though, not everyone felt the same way about the desert as he did.
Occasionally there were those that did not appreciate the weather in a place like this as much as he did. Then again, people like that usually didn't appreciate much of anything or even try to look. They made their mind up long before they said anything. It was just human nature. The king had found a small stand that had interested him with some wares. There were a few trinkets that he was sure that Terra, Celes, and Relm would enjoy. They were, after all, girls. Though, Relm was a bit young for him and Celes seemed a bit taken by Locke. He certainly would not overstep and try to take the heart of another man's woman. That would be rude and ungentlemanly. Now Terra, she was still open for flirting, even if she was not his biggest fan. It didn't mean she wasn't beautiful and deserve beautiful things. He was a king, he could afford it.
Though, his shopping was cut rather short when he watched a rather large block of ice slide through the vendor to his left. The flirtatious king blinked a few times at he watched the ice continue through. What in the gods name was that!? Ice in the middle of a desert? It certainly was not natural. So, that meant that someone was either inexperienced with magic or was causing a scene. He didn't realize how right he was. Edgar apologized to the merchant before moving to find out the cause of the comotion, walking through the damage the ice block had caused. The monologue immediately clued him in. "They may not, but I certainly do, Kefka. You just cannot leave people in peace. How about you pick on someone that's actually your size. I may not have been able to stop your first assault on Figaro, but I will stop this one." Edgar threatened as he drew his spear, Longius. He was ready for this fight if it truly came to blows. Which he was sure it would.

After the nights of bad dreams, it would seem that Fate decided to put into motion a plan that Terra could not understand. A last night when she laid down to sleep, she had been in the safety of her home with the kids, but then without warning she woke up in a different place. One surrounded by sands and heat - a desert. When she had first come to here, she had thought she was back in Figaro, but after some time wandering through the golden sands and heat, she found this desert was not the one of her home.
The realization made her panic and worry. If she wasn’t home then where was she? And what about the kids? Were they safe and okay? Or was she in a dream still? Yes. That had to be it. She was in a dream and all she had to do was wake up from it. Right. Right? Well waking up was becoming a questionable thing the longer she wandered this place that had no end.
She felt the sands sucking her down at every step. Felt the heat on her body and the exhaustion it was causing. She was becoming weak the more she pressed on and then just when she thought she couldn’t handle it anymore a city appeared before her in the distance.
Unsure if it was a mirage, she’d move towards it expecting it to not get closer, but the more she moved that city got closer and in turn gave her the extra boost of strength she needed to make it to that place and in turn find water, something she desperately desired. Thankfully, she didn’t have to look far and after trading a ribbon or two with an older lady, she was able to have as much water as she wanted.
After drinking some water and being able to get some shade, Terra felt herself perking back up like a flower as her senses became clearer and in turn the reality of her situation. This was not a dream. She was really some place unfamiliar, but how did she get here? Perhaps she would’ve pondered that; however, the sounds of things being broken, panic, and chaos caught her attention causing her to look towards the sound before getting to her feet.
She’d follow the sounds coming out into an area being terrorized by an ice block that was going all over the place out of control destroying stalls and hurting people. Confused for two seconds, Terra would look around the area only to find the blood draining out of her as she heard a voice and saw a figure she’d had hoped would stay buried, but just wouldn’t. Kefka.
She balled her fists at this one. She had no power, so how could she possibly fight this -- Oh!
Another familiar face appeared -Edgar. She was relieved to see the king and wanted to go to him despite knowing what would happen, but she could not. She would only burden him if she moved to aid him. Was she completely useless here? Maybe it was better to hi-
!!!
Her eye caught the ice block heading straight for a young child. Forgetting about her other thoughts, she pushed from herself spot and ran as quickly as her legs could carry her, diving to grab the child and rolling out of the way just as the ice block slide by and collided with a wall of a building cracking it and but seeming to at least stop for now. Unfolding herself, she’d check on the kid making sure she was okay before she shooed her away from the danger zone. Getting to her feet, her position no longer allowing her to hide or run, she wasn’t sure what she could do, but she wasn’t about to let the clown destroy or harm anymore.
“You’re not alone on that front. I’ll help you stop him in anyway I can,” Terra would say as she held out her hand summoning her elegantly curved blade. Human or not, she could still face off this demon.

"Hee-hee-hee! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives are lost?" Kefka was just about to continue his ongoing and eternal rampage of destruction when he heard annoying voices behind him. At first, he didn't know what they were saying, but they sounded angry and the noise was grating so they had to die. However, it also sounded familiar. Kefka turned to find himself face-to-face with an old foe. It was none other than the King of the desert city Figaro, EDDY! ... Or was it Edge? Ediface? No, it was Edgar, wasn't it? Oh all of these goody two shoes nobodies looked the same anyways. He was spouting off something about stopping him or something but Kefka quickly got bored. "Well, well, look what the camel dragged in! What's the matter, Eddy ol' boy, can't find a woman around to satisfy that DISGUSTING libido of yours? I'm sorry to say but all the women here have STANDARDS, so they wouldn't be your type. Of course, they'll be dead soon so they won't be anyone's type. WAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" The sight of Edgar's face was already starting to offend Kefka. How dare they continue living? Kefka hadn't given them permission to continue being alive, especially not in happiness like they probably were. Well, Kefka was just going to have to fix that little mistake. Perhaps he'd drag Edgar's body to that twin musclehead brother of his just to see the look on his face! Oh, Kefka was giddy with anticipation at seeing that little event unfold. However, just as Kefka was about to set Edgar on fire and making him the toast of the town, who should show up but his LITTLE DOLL?! It was like Christmas had come early for him. Of course, she was still in that resistance kick, but that was fine. She was just being rebellious and all Kefka needed to do was PUNISH HER INSOLENCE! "Awwww, you DO care about me! Not only did you come here to offer your head on a silver platter, but you even FINALLY brought my property back to me! Granted, she's a little less Esper-y than last I saw her, but that's ok. I'll just have to use her for something else right after I'm done BREAKING HER of this little rebellious streak you've given her. Now, Eddy ol' boy, why don't be a good impotently raging man and STAY STILL WHILE I ROAST YOU?!" Kefka fired his Extra-Crispy Firaga, three fireballs shooting from his fingers. They split apart and seemed to go in different directions before converging and homing in on Edgar. Then Kefka, in an effort to subdue Terra but not quite knowing when enough was enough, fire his Wiggly-Wobbly Firaga at her. This spell traveled some distance, stopped and then changed direction, repeating its pattern while homing in on Terra. "HOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! DANCE, DANCE, DANCE, DANCE! I haven't properly thanked any of you for RUINING MY PLANS! So I'm so glad you showed up! Now do me a favor and SCREAM IN BEAUTIFUL AGONY!"-------------- Twisty-Turny Blizzaga: Kefka fires a block of ice that at the ground that shoots forward and bounces off of walls, dealing weak ice damage. Edgar had attempted to keep the surprise and confusion of Kefka's return from his face and voice. But, the Gods' honest truth was that it frightened the king more than he would ever admit to anyone. How had this come to pass? Had they truly not defeated the former general in the past and he'd simply escaped to another land in the nick of time? No, they'd killed the being. He could not be alive. This had to be a mirage. But, that ice surely was no trick of the eye. Kefka was floating right there just in front of him. He could ask the question later of himself and his comrades. They may have a better explanation than he.
Right now Edgar's biggest concern was stopping the clown single handedly. It had taken a group of them to defeat the madman the first time. How would he be able to do it alone? He couldn't run away without risking the lives of the town. He'd lost his own city the first time in that matter. Hiding Terra had angered Kefka enough that he'd attempted to destroy the kingdom. That would certainly be the case here if Edgar ran. So, he'd just need to put his heart and soul into it and at least put a dent in the clown for when help arrived. The help he didn't expect so quickly. But, it was a pleasant surprise.
Edgar kept silent at the insults he was being thrown for a moment before smirking a bit in response. "Well, Kefka. I didn't realize how jealous you were that the women certainly favor me over the likes of yourself. I mean, I am the clear choice. But still... I suppose I shouldn't be surprise that destruction is still the only thing on that little mind of yours." Edgar taunted. If it kept the town safe, he'd mock the clown to take his full wrath rather than the innocents. His mind was running with the options he had to get out of this fight alive. It was not looking good.
That is, until he heard a familiar voice. The smile spread across his face as his head turned slightly to see the half esper appear at his side. "Terra, you could not have had better time than you just did. You're still as captivating as ever." The king complimented. He knew that his flirting did not have much of an effect on her, but it never hurt to try. "That means I can start off with this little morsal that I planned to save as a last ditch attempt." Edgar admitted.
The amusing part? Edgar had practically talked to Terra while Kefka was addressing them. They all knew how much the former general disliked that.
The magic being cast was what pulled the King back to the fight at hand. It seemed like a simple fire attack. It had been a while since he'd had to face Kefka in a fight. This was one battle he didn't think he'd need to remember. That was where he was mistaken. The king, even with the heavier armor, attempted to dive out of the way of the attack, rolling from his shoulder and making it back to his feet. His knees and back sore from the action. It had been peaceful for the time so he was a tab rusty on his abilities. Though, it seemed his attempted dodge failed as he noticed the magic honed in on the man. Edgar brought his arm up in defense as he was hit with the magic. The king cringed a bit as he lowered his arm with his spear and put out the fire that has started on his arm before pulling one of his items. This left his spear standing up in the sand he'd placed it as he fired the Air Anchor towards the clown. This would give Terra the opening she'd need if it was aimed properly. Kefka could either continue his assault and pay for the mistake, or sit pretty till the claw failed and was able to attack again.
"Terra! Now!" Terra was a strong woman. He was not worried about her skill level. She was not someone that needed to be coddled and protected. Though, he would do his best if need be. He'd lay down his life to protect any of his friends.
Air Anchor - Edgar chooses one target and uses this tool on them. The target has the choice of not attacking for 1 post or attacking and 'blowing up' the next post. The target would be dealt a decent amount of damage. The trade off being that Edgar can only use this ability on his turn and no other abilities can be used in the same post this is used. [This makes using it in one on one battles pointless as it would cause a stalemate for a post.] [Cooldown: 3 posts]

Here we go.
That is the thought that ran through Terra’s mind as she watched the two men have an insulting contest. She wasn’t sure who was worse in this department. Kefka who just could not resist making the most horrible of puns or Edgar who was still as sure as ever that every woman would bow down to him and love him. Honestly, men made her wonder many things at times. However, she would push that thought away as Kefka’s attention turned to her….and of course he would say words that promptly made her blood boil. Even so she would give the clown a cold stare, her emotions hidden as she watched him.
“I am no one's property, Kefka. Least of all yours,” she would say her words as biting as the arctic wind. She would not have him calling her these things nor would she return to him to do whatever hideous deed he wanted her to do. No. She rather die than suffer that fate again. Regardless of her thoughts though, she would turn her attention from Kefka only slightly as Edgar addressed her.
To say his flirting had no effect on the woman would be a lie. Sure she didn’t gush and blush like a little girl, but she did appreciate the attention as she return the smile as she spoke back to the King. “Edgar, I am glad to see you in good health and as generous as always,” the woman would say back not seeming to care that they were talking and pretending an insane murderous clown was not just a short distance away. It was nice to have a familiar face to talk to; however, joy would turn back to seriousness as Kefka decided to attack them.
As the fire attacks were unleashed, Terra would focus as she saw the slow-moving fireball coming her way, switching directions here and there. She would watch it trying to gauge its pattern until the last minute when it tried to smack into her directly. At the instant the flame came at her, she would make a dive for the groundm tucking herself a bit to do an elegant roll and in turn get out of the way; however, she would find herslef quickly having to raise her sword as said fireball did one last trick having stopped and switched direction once more to come at her.
Fmoom!Punk!
The sound of fire slapping into metal as Terra sowrd met the spell and the impact broke her guard. Even so, thankfully no flames had touched her. Her sword had taken most of the blow leaving it glowing red hot from where the fire had touched it. Quickly getting to her feet, she would see Edgar’s move and heard his cry just as she pushed herself to go towards the clown.
She’d follow the direction of the anchor for a while before sliding and quickly going to the left to try and deal a strike to the insane clown’s side as she swung her still hot blade towards him in a horizontal slash.
Hopefully, the clown would be to disoriented to counter. __________________________________________________________________
Terra's Moves:
> Attempted to get away from flame, but ended up barely blocking it with sword. > Attempts to relatilate by using the air anchor as a distraction as she moves in to attack Kefka’s left side with a horizontal slash.

"Hee-hee-hee! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives are lost?" Kefka actually made an overly comical disgusted face when Edgar mentioned that the women favoring him over Kefka. "UUUUGH! Gross, gross, gross, gross, GROSS! You can KEEP them for your disgusting NEEDS! And I thought I had a one-track mind, but YOU, EDDY, put me to shame! ... AND LOOK AT ME WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!" How dare he flirt with Kefka's tools of war like that and in front of him, no less! Such a shameless display. He'd have to freeze him AND THEN set him on fire for that crime. Luckily, Edgar had not gotten any more impervious to his spells. It was really too bad the same could not be said of Terra, who managed to block his spell. She'd have to pay dearly for that. "Oh here we go! 'I'm a strong woman who don't need no man'! Ugh, you are too much and you probably broke Eddy's poor womanizing heart with that statement. But that's ok, because after I'm done with you, you won't be having those thoughts any more. Or really ANY thoughts for that matter! WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" However, his mirth was interrupted by a claw grabbing his arm. Kefka looked over and saw that it was one of Eddy's toys. That cheeky little desert RAT! Oh, he was going to fry so much. Then Terra managed to hit him with that sword of hers. THAT WAS IT! Kefka was going to be nice and only immolate them a little and take back his weapon. But now?! He was going to have to burn this whole city down, with them in it! Kefka flipped upside down, his back facing Terra. The claw from Edgar's Air Anchor, sliced through his arm, but that was no matter. Kefka was a GOD OF DESTRUCTION, he wasn't going to let some weasel kill him so easily. As for Terra, she would be met by Kefka's Havoc Wing, as his wings stabbed outward at such speeds to actually slice like bladed weapons. Still upside down, Kefka cast his Trine attack, triangles surrounding Edgar and homing in on him to damage him. "THAT HURT! LET'S SEE HOW MUCH YOU LIKE NOT MOVING, EDDY! And you know, this place is much too cramped to have a fight... I KNOW!" Kefka fired an Ultima spell at the building next to Edgar. It slowly, leisurely floated towards the building. Then, it exploded in a massive blast, gouging a hole into the structure. Then, it crumbled, with pieces of the building falling straight towards Edgar, intending to bury him under rubble. ------- Twisty-Turny Blizzaga: Kefka fires a block of ice that at the ground that shoots forward and bounces off of walls, dealing weak ice damage. Terra always seemed so sure of her responses and was so calm and collected when she said them. The king would usually wonder if she brushed off his compliments so easily or if she didn't quite understand the meaning behind them. But, it didn't really matter right now. There was a fight stirring and there was no time to really focus on such unimportant things. But that response he got back from her. That he was 'generous as always'. Was she seriously not getting that he was flirting with her? Or was she just that uninterested in him? He would have to find a way to ask her directly about it. Because he had taken an interest in her more than the other woman he flirted with. Even if he was scared to death of her in the beginning with her access to magic.
Kefka's overreaction to the comment was always a treat though. The two of them being complete opposites. Kefka overreacted and Terra seemed to under-react. That didn't matter either. He needed to focus. This was a serious battle and they needed to come out on top here. He ignored the clowns comments. They weren't important. He nodded to Terra for her comments to him finally. "I'm glad you are in good health as well, Terra." He replied politely until his attention turned fully back to the bane of their existence.
At least his attack had landed. It would give Terra the opening that they all were hoping for. Though, Kefka made a grievous error in judgement. He's pulled his arm free of the king's "toy". It triggered the device and the explosion that resulted would surely cause some damage to the clown. But, it was a little too late. The mad man had already summoned Trine and Ultima to make his life even more complicated.
Edgar had to think fast. He was not the quickest man of their group, but he could move in a pinch if needed. The king was not the most agile either. He backed up a few steps before running and using his trusted lance as a tool to launch himself over the trine that was summoned, barely avoiding the attack. The king stumbled a bit as he worked to balance himself and regain his composure. Though, there was no avoiding the destruction from the Ultima attack. He'd been hit with some of the debris. Not nearly as much debris as it could have been had he been taken out by the Trine, but it was enough to do some damage.
The king shifted down to a knee as he decided to take advantage of the dust settling and the sand that the clown had surely kicked up as a cover for his next few attacks. He needed to give Terra an advantage here. He pulled out a few tools from his arsenal and placed his Crossbow and Lance on the ground before aiming his Debilitator. This would give the clown a weakness that Terra could hopefully take advantage of. Once it was used, he put the toy away before aiming the crossbow up at Kefka and fired. Sure, he usually used it when there was a mob, but his AutoCrossbow would do some damage to one target as well.
Debilitator - This attack gives an enemy a elemental weakness. Fire - 1, Ice - 2, Lightning - 3, Earth - 4, Poison - 5, Gravity - 6, Water - 7, Wind - 8, Holy - 9. The element depends on the Random Code. [Duration: 2 Posts | Cooldown: 1 Post]

Terra would give Edgar a gentle smile in return to his comment on her well being; however, that smile would soon fade as the clown began to talk and talk and talk. She wondered did he ever shut up. It was a peculiar thing to cross her mind, but she wondered what would happen if the clown was silenced for once. Hmm. Well she wouldn’t be able to find out now or any time soon, she had no way of shutting him up, so she would just deal with the ranting keeping a cool and collected expression as she remained mostly quietly. Though she could not keep quiet when he made the comment about her being his slave again.
“Hmph. We’ll see about that,” she would say before making her attack which thankfully landed right after Edgar’s weapon had distracted the clown. If she was a fool, she would’ve celebrated, but she knew it would take more than that to stop this mad clown. And what do you know? He was already reacting.
As the clown flipped upside and the wing shot out, Terra didn’t have time to put up a good guard or even avoid the wing fully. As the impact struck her sword and broke her guard she felt the impact of the wing as it tore into her clothing and in turn her skin underneath as she was knocked back and away from the clown just as an explosion sounded off.
Hitting the ground, Terra would roll to her hands and knees still somehow holding her sword. She looked down at the crimson wound that rested across her lower left side and while it did hurt, she had no time to worry about the injury as she pushed herself to her feet.
“Edgar!”
She look up just in time to see Edgar almost get buried by the devastating attack Kefka had flung to blow a chunk of the desert town away. She had seen her friend get hit by some of the debris and so wished she had a way to help him out, even more so when he cast a familiar spell that in any other case would’ve given her the advantage, but not today. She...she wasn’t the same person she was long ago, her Esper side still hidden where she could not reach it. It made her sad to see this, but at the same time she could show no weaknesses. No. She had to fight and stay strong...for her friend and the people here. Even if it was just her blade, she would use it to tear the clown into shreds.
With that thought in her head, she would move in again this time getting close before sliding and attempting a low horizontal slash at the clown’s torso…. ______________________________________________________________________ > Tried to block Havoc Wing and failed. Gets smacked by Havoc Wing and sustained damaged to her side. > Counters with a low horizontal swing to the torso area of Kefka.

GSPUyF4_1-9"Hee-hee-hee! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives are lost?" Oh why did they continue to get back up? It was really idiotic. If they just laid down and let his magic annihilate them, they'd wouldn't have to suffer so much. Honestly, Kefka was doing them a favor by killing them quickly, but they just had to make it worse for themselves. Well, killing Edgar anyways, Kefka still wanted his prize slave back. That is, if she'd STOP TRYING TO SLICE HIM TO RIBBONS! Then he felt a sudden weakness come over him and looked over at Edgar, who had another one of his infernal tools out! "Annoying little sand-muncher! Why can't you just be buried under rubble like the rest of this city's rats will be?!" Kefka looked over at Terra just as she was going to slice him. How dare she? Blood did NOT go well with his lovely clothes. He had the tailor executed just to make sure his wardrobe couldn't be copied. As Terra sliced, Kefka instinctively blocked the blade with his bare hands, something he was capable of back in his Godly days. Well, it sort of worked. The blade was stopped but Kefka could feel the blade biting into his hands. He growled at Terra, angered by her reminding him that he wasn't at his full glory. "Listen, pet, I know you're eager to go back to killing for me but that's no excuse for rudeness!" Kefka struggled with Terra over her sword, but even through the pain lanced through his hands, the once-God of Magic still had time to stick his tongue out at Terra and cackle in her face. He then heard a click and Kefka turned his head to Edgar, who was aiming his Auto Crossbow at him. Kefka's eyes widened... and then they narrowed as his mouth changed into a sickening grin. Kefka suddenly dodged around Terra so the poor girl was between Kefka and Edgar. Once Edgar fired his Auto Crossbow, Kefka used Zap Trap Thundaga to try and trap Terra in the line of fire with lightning bolts. If she tried to move even an inch in any directon, she'd be in for a shock! Unfortunately, he had to stay still to cast and a couple arrows did manage to nick him. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, Eddy, my boy! You're just a regular ol' turncoat, just betray anyone you see! Well, to thank you for doing my work for me, I'd like to reward you wit- METEORS!" Kefka then cast his Meteor spell, four meteors crashing down through buildings around Edgar. Then they bounced towards Edgar, seeking to collide into him and explode. The city around them was becoming more and more destroyed. Of course, that didn't much matter to Kefka. After all, collateral damage was Kefka's fourth favorite form of damage. All that was missing was the screams of the citizens as they died in their ruined homes. Where were they anyways? Probably evacuated or something. Well, the chase was just as fun as murdering everyone in the city. ----------------- Twisty-Turny Blizzaga: Kefka fires a block of ice that at the ground that shoots forward and bounces off of walls, dealing weak ice damage. "I'm fine, Terra. Don't worry about me." Terra was far more important than he was. Sabin could easily take his rightful place as King if things ended badly. That's when the words left Kefa's mouth.
A sand-muncher?
Sometimes Edgar forgot how childish in nature the clown could be. The empire's experimentation had truly done a wonder on the former general. It was a shame that he'd lost his mind that much that he'd been left a psychotic shell of what he once was. "Well if I did that, I wouldn't get to enjoy all the horrid jokes you keep attempting to make." He replied with a faint smirk. Even though he was in a good bit of pain from the falling stones, he was keeping positive. It was all he could manage to do in the meantime. The alternative being letting his emotions get to him. Now was not the time for that. He had to stay strong for Terra's sake. He would not allow the clown to take her from him no matter how pitiful the shell of a man was. At least he didn't have to feign being polite anymore and making subtle jabs. He could be outright rude now seeing as his alliance with the Returners was out in the open.
Edgar flinched a bit when he saw how Kefka was about to flip backwards after his crossbow was fired. He'd be careful to tilt it in a manor that made Kefka the target. However, he supposed it could be used to harm Terra if she wasn't paying enough attention and moved even an inch in the wrong direction. Edgar wasn't used to having to play the support role in a fight. He had gotten better in the more recent years, but it wasn't his forte. He could only pray that Terra didnt move into the arrows path.
Sadly, his concern for Terra did him in this time. There was only a small amount of time from when Kefka casted meteor. He hopefully could get this attack off before Terra looked back at him. The clown was too far away for him to poison. So, Flash was about all he could do. Maybe it would give Terra another opening to get a shot in on the clown. The Flash went off before Edgar moved his arms to brace for impact of the magic. The higher spells always hurt more than the normal ones. Oh how he hated magic, even after the years spent with Terra, Relm, and Celes. He didn't see the appeal, even if he had learned a few spells himself.
The meteors caused added destruction and knocked more rubble down at him. Thankfully, the rubble did absorb some of the Meteor attack, but it didn't make the initial impact of the debris hurt any less. Edgar was covered in the rock pile from the destroyed buildings.
It wasn't till a few moments later that a strange noise could be heard from under the rubble. After another moment, a drill broke through to the surface and Edgar climbed out, not to worse for wear. But, still a bit injured. He put his Drill away having used it to escape his stone catacomb. He wish that all those folks that said his technology and tools were useless were here now to see it. They were a life saver at times. This case in particular. He plucked his lance from the debris and raised his arm to cast one spell on Terra, one that she probably needed more than he did. This was magic he could condone. A green aura resonated around Terra, the Cure doing it's job. "It's seems you've lost your touch. Are you getting soft in your old age?

"Hee-hee-hee! But what fun is destruction if no "precious" lives are lost?" Edgar's Cure, though probably appreciated, was a little too late. Kefka's Zap Trap Thundaga had been cast just as Terra tried to dodge it and she got zapped for her trouble. Now she was unconscious on the ground and at Kefka's mercy. But the cruel clown knew that that rat king wouldn't just let him have her. Oh no, the greedy little royal slob just had to have all the girls for his harem. That simply WOULDN'T DO! Kefka couldn't let Edgar sully such a useful tool for destruction and murder! Then she'd develop emotions and feelings. Just the mere thought of it made Kefka's skin feel slimy and gross. The King tried to pull out his Flash tool but Kefka was too quick and used his cape to shield his eyes. When he removed the cape, it was just in time to see Edgar get covered in rubble, which caused Kefka to act in a mature and thoughtful manner. "WAAAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! YOU IDIOT MONGREL OF A KING! I guess you truly do love the sand since now YOU'RE BURIED IN IT!" Kefka cackled before he stuck his tongue out at the ruins he made. He then floated down towards the fallen Terra. Already, his diseased mind was thinking up new and awful ways to torture her. Maybe that old fart could do something to revive Terra's powers or even make them even more lethal and destructive. This was how it should've gone. Him as the true God of Magic and Terra, his metaphorical Death Ray, both of them raining fire and misery on the miserable peons of the worlds. And why shouldn't he? He was a God, everyone else should be thanking for allowing them to live just that much longer. Everyone should take an example from those loonies in that tow- what was that noise? Kefka turned back around the sound of mechanical whirring. Then he saw that irritating King drill himself out of the rubble. That son of a submariner was becoming a real headache! Kefka turned in place, floating in mid-air as Terra lay still behind him. "You really are too stupid to know when you've had it! Can't you see your precious friend is done for? Oh well, there's no helping the thick-headed. You really should just stop while you're way, way behind. What ARE you fighting for? The continued existence of this decrepit little universe? Here's a joke for ya. If this universe is just so darn great, why do you think it created AND resurrected ME? The instrument of the universe's complete and total annihilation?! Even you must admit, that's a heck of a gag. All that work to put me down and it was all to waste! Why even bother trying to fight me when you know you CAN'T KILL ME?!" Kefka then did a pose and two glyphs appeared, one above and one below him. Edgar would know it as Kefka's Forsaken spell. The top glyph then slowly floated over to Edgar. As it traveled, it dropped black and white orbs which looked almost like TV static... if either Kefka or Edgar knew what that was. Once the orb hit the ground, it exploded in a dome of black and white destroying all in its path. It would seem that Kefka was going to destroy Edgar, even if he Agrabah had to go, too. The glyph continued to chase Edgar, trying to catch the king in an explosion or seven. "HehehehehHAHAHAHAHAHA! RUN, EDDY! RUNRUNRUNRUNRUNRUUUUUUUUUUUUN! OR YOU'LL BE WELL DONE!" Kefka's cackles echoed through the city, alerting everyone to his presence. But no one who had seen him wanted to confront him yet. It really was too bad. Oh well. The jester would visit them all eventually.

"That's where you are wrong, Clown-face. We killed you once, you think a second time will be harder? No, now we know how to do it right the first time this round." He retorted as he collected his lance and brushed the dust off his armor. This was more his attempt to scan his surroundings and get a feel for what he could do next. The king could see that Terra had went down and she'd gone down hard. His cure was a little too late and it disappointed him to no end. He had really failed her just now. How could he hope to court her if he couldn't even keep her safe from a psychopath?
It was no matter. He needed to collect Terra and get them both to safety. He would not let Kefka take the girl. It would have to be over his dead body. Though, he was sure that Kefka could arrange that if necessary. Edgar wasn't one to simply roll over. He was going to put up one hell of a fight.
The king got himself an idea and took off running as he watched Kefka cast his next spell, barely skipping a beat to try and gloat. Edgar took off and jumped to catch onto the edge of an awning to an abandoned cart. He pulled himself up without any delay and could feel the elasticity of the material beneath his feet. "Perfect..." He told himself as he jumped, treating it like a trampoline to shoot himself in the direction of Kefka. This was probably going to be his last ditch effort to get Kefka away from Terra so he could pop her over his shoulder and take off like a bat outta hell.
Edgar jumped off the awning, hopefully avoiding most of the attacks aimed near his original position. He made the presumption that Kefka wouldn't summon any near himself out of fear of harming Terra more than she was. It was a chance he was willing to take. Edgar held his lance firm as he used his strongest single attack. It wasn't much, but it was more than some could muster up. Kefka would have to get out of the way of the attack or he'd likely regret it. He summoned up the power of Valor, an ability he learned through the help of an Esper. Had it not been for Terra, he might not have opened himself to let such a being lend him such strength. This ability would double the attack strength of his next attack.
That was the fun part.
He smirked a bit as he pulled on his mask, his trusty Chain Saw appearing in his hand as gravity began to set in. His weight pulling him right towards Kefka. If Kefka didn't dodge, that was that. He was going to get a face full of chain saw at double attack power. The attack was unblockable, so dodging was his own option. If he'd triangulated his attack right, he should land directly infront of Terra.
Now it was Kefka's move.
Valor - This ability is used to double the power of next attack. It counts as an ability used. [Cooldown: 1 Post]
Chain Saw - An unblock-able attack that does not take into account armor. It can dispatch enemies with it. However, not playable characters [Cooldown: 4 Posts]
Flash - Cooldown: 1 Post
Debilitator - Cooldown: 1 Post
Drill - Useable Next Post
Cure - Useable Next Post
