[attr="class","kirameki0"] [attr="class","kirameki1"] [attr="class","kirameki2"] [attr="class","kirameki3"] [attr="class","kirameki4"] All folks big and small had gathered around the ampitheater. It was time for the moment they'd all been waiting for and Clopin, the ever cheerful, ever animated, always coloful announcer for the 'Feast of Fools' was ready at the center of it all, his royal mouse puppets in hand.
"Come All, Come one! The moment has arrived!~"
He went on in a sing songy voice dancing along with himself.
"It's a great day of fun, a day to be alive!
Gather all here for a show of magic and wonder from troubling illusions to DEAFENING THUNDER!!!~"
On either side of the ampitheater, two fire works were set off when he said the word 'deafening' to crash into the sky in a colorful display at the prompting word of 'THUNDER.'
"~Several casters are here from all places of all ages are on the stage in a line and you my dear audience must help me decide which spells best describe the concept I say! Are you ready to see the contestants!?~"
There were cheers from the children and interested clapping from the audience as a whole and as Clopin spoke to them and readied them for the sights, all contestants were instructed to wait behind their own colorful curtains until prompted. Clopin turned toward the ampitheatre stage, absently juggling shimmering discs in his hands as he spoke out to the contestants. "CASTERS! Come forth!" he called to them. "Come out Come out haha!" there was music playing, horns and drums creating a sound for the audience to sync to. He tossed up his discs way above as he spoke and they spun only to land in his hands on the last word. "Show us a grand entrance! Cast and show us a 'CELEBRATION!'

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" The Black Waltz stood among several other mages atop the stage, separated only by their own colored curtains. The announcer, in all his clownish glory, hyped up the crowd with speech, dancing around and singing his lines as if he were the physical manifestation of the festival. He began to question what it was exactly Rina had said to him to get him to be a part of this... show. He couldn't help but feel... off-put by his roll in this mockery known as entertainment, a creature made for killing such as he standing before these people to make them smile...? LAUGH!? Preposterous... And yet, here he was... Embarrassing. The Machine's anxiousness was personified in a hot anger, his eye twitching with anticipation as the foolish announcer drug on his build-up for as LONG as possible! BUT FINALLY! He called them out and the machine was more enthusiastic than anybody to get his part of this over and done-with! Bursting from the dark yellow curtain he was hidden behind, the 10-foot monster Black-Waltz No. 3 was the first among the magic-castors to step out... and see the prompt written in explosions across the sky: Thunder
The machine instantly felt a great weight lift from his shoulders, upturning his palms to the sky as electricity began to crackle across his fingers. This... he could work with. His specialty being the opening act would at least place him in familiar territory right at the start. He smiled wide, his spike-like teeth sparkling beneath the darkness. He knew just what to do to grab these humans' attention too... With the crackling in his hands increasing to a fever-pitch, Big, slow-crawling tendrils of electricity began to arc out from the monster's talons, shooting up, into the sky.... The electricity followed their castor's motions as he slammed his hands together, the electric bots smashing swirling and mashing into one another, the fingers of energy merging into one another. What once were 10 bolts of electricity had coagulated into a spinning, ball of electric energy hovering a great number of feet above the audience, letting off a minor shock every so often towards the audience! Everytime it would draw close though, the head would EXPLODE in a shower of tiny sparkles, showering upon the people harmlessly with a loud *POP*! Keeping the ball together in the form of a clenched fist with one hand, the Machine pointed a forefinger at it with the other, a small bolt of Thunder blasting out from his talon-tip, striking the Ball hard... With a BOOM the ball of concentrated electricity EXPLODED... in a cloud of shiny sparks, their glinting light falling upon the people harmlessly as the Waltz crossed his arms, smug smirk across his lips... Thunder heavily flavored lol

Straight on till Morning | This was hardly what the small pixie had been expecting, her own navigation to this world having prompted her to a place that felt more animated than even her own home. Still, it was certainly colorful, and it did give the faint familiarity of some of the festival they would have at Pixie Hollow to celebrate the change of seasons. Though her reason for becoming part of this event? Apart from her simply having fun, she imagined that perhaps a successful display might help her get a means to better find her way home.
After all, all she had been managing so far was to travel through portals of darkness, to which she constantly found herself with little to no control over their appearance and with more than a faint feeling each time she traversed them. It was faint hope, but even she couldn't help but grin as she waited behind her personal curtain. Tinkerbell could imagine that such an event was more than amazing, though her own signing up had caught a few awkward glances. After all, seeing who she was up against, she did appear quite small.
Though when has size ever stopped her?
Upon seeing the large creature's display, the tinker fairy was next, hearing the applause of the crowd as she flew out, spinning around as she held her hands up.
The idea was to make a familiar concept to that of the word. Thunder was quick the order, but it wasn't impossible.
Reaching down into her bag, she'd retrieve her Tinker Hammer, almost juggling it within one hand before extending both arms out to crack her knuckles. In catching it, the small tool would sparkle as she reeled both hands back, a tight grip upon the handle as she would swing away. This would quickly create a large mural, almost similar to that of a canvas that would sparkle in golden light. From there, the pixie would get to work, quickly darting through it as she created her work.
Before long it was complete. The vastness of a moving storm above the landscape of the open sea. The sight of what looked like a wave, raised up and down as it lapped against the shore. But over head, an almost 3-d like image of a bolt would continue to crash down, streaking across the sky as a flickering light of thunder lingered within the clouds. While the image was silent, it floated over head much like a painting on display, leaving the fairy to bow as she floated beside it.
Probably could have added a boat though.....yea..I should have added a boat...

The Dark Knight’s lips remained set into a thin scowl, uncertainty evident upon his face as he’d slowly stepped out onto the stage with a number of other contestants. His eyes scanned the crowd of on-lookers, diligently searching for any traces of a particular lost soul, Belias the Gigas – the Scion was obsessed with the Arcana. Before he could finish scanning the crowd, one of the Gypsy had taken his hand and lead him behind a flame-embroidered mesh. He heard the deafening roar of Black Waltz’ Thunder spell as numerous static orbs collided with one another. Hell, even he was taken back by the way the electrical bolts collided with one another and produced a shower of sparkles. It truly was a breath-taking sight, when one could use destructive magic intended to strike down foes to provide merriment to a crowd.
The next contender was a petite fae whom had elected to brandish a hammer. For a minute or two she’d juggled with it before she struck at the air. What is she doing? , The Dark Knight was left to wonder momentarily until she’d begun to create an expansive mural made from interwoven light. The Fae moved nimbly back and forth as she’d controlled every inch of her creation, carefully sculpting it a Magnus Opus, a true masterpiece. In that instance, the Dark Knight felt miniscule as he’d stared up into the eyes of a storm above the open sea, the powerful waves as they lapped at the shore. Finally, there was the arc of storm bolts, their forked tongues decorating the skies of the mural.
The gypsy that had guided him to his position gave him a curt nod, gesturing for him to make his entrance. With a soft sigh, he’d channeled his energies inward, calling upon the darkness to burn off a smidge of his vitality to create a phantasmal ethereal flame which ignited the mesh-screen in front of him. Once it’d went up within flames, the Dark Knight fearlessly stepped through the flames, unfazed by their searing heat. Meanwhile, his hand extended towards the sky as his lips moved in rapidly chant as he’d invoked Firaga . However, unlike usually, it’d manifested itself as a series of glyphs floating freely around him. Said glyphs spiraled, their meanings become blurred as suddenly they began to fire massively spheres of flames into the air in rapid succession.
Their trajectories aligned with one another so that when they’d reached the peak of their ascent, they’d came together in a trio of explosions. The amaranthine conflagartions when they’d collided exploded outwards producing a concussive bang that echoed through the city. The massive flames now became innumerable smaller flames which rained downwards, it’d looked similar to thousands upon thousands of cherry blossoms drifting through the sky. One couldn’t deny that it was beautiful, but also stifling, the sweltering heat it produced was enough to cause the Dark Knight to break out in a sweat. Fortunately, the flames died out just inches above the roof tops, leaving little soot flakes to rain down upon the ground, painting it similar to snow.

'Nervous' barely even started to cover it. Somewhere beneath his oversized blue coat Vivi's stomach was doing flip flops and cartwheels and pirouettes! The nice funny clown man was announcing 'the casters' and Vivi found himself shifting awkwardly in uncertainty mentally going through all the spells he knew and realizing that maybe he was a little in over his head. The worse part was the unexpected presence of the Black Waltz. The young mage had never expected to run into him ever again and the experience had been nothing short of terrifying. Worse yet? The Black Waltz was participating in the contest.
The clown man beckoned them out as Vivi was adjusting the rim of his hat and announced the first concept they were to cast to. 'Celebration?' That was certainly fun. Just as 'thunder' was coming to mind, Vivi was poking his way out of the curtain just in time to witness the Black Waltz casting his 'thunder' spell. "Oh no." the small mage whispered to himself. When he cast the thunder spell or even the thundara it looked nothing like that! But, alas, Vivi could think of nothing else. He raised his gloved hands above him waving them in a circle before hopping on his toes and he cast Thundara! The skies did not darken for his spell but Vivi glowed with crackling energy as several coronas danced and burst around him. It was beautiful, maybe even a little remarkable and it certainly danced and celebrated...but it was clearly not as impressive as the thunder spell from the Black Waltz. Maybe because he was taller? Vivi tilted his head in wonder.

Last time Kuja had been part of a tournament, it was a failure, just as he was about to win... He balled his hands into fists as he waited behind the curtain for the announcer to tell him to get out and show these peoples what he could do. It was redemption-time and this was what he was best at! Magic! He would make them stare in disbelieve and worship him for his great skills.
With a smirk, his curtain was finally lifted for him to step out. He immediately recognized EVERYONE on the stage so far and it made him hold back a laugh. Waltz was here... oh, the poor fool. Also Dieter. Kuja tilted his head at him, stepping past him and then there was... the small one. Vivi. His eyebrow moved up slightly when he looked at the kid trying to perform a thunder spell. It looked so childish almost... he wondered how the kid could still be here. His time should have been up already... Well, whatever the case, it was not very important at the moment. It was Kuja's turn and by the looks of the people, the others had done a good performance. He would put the crown on it and make them cheer for him. He moved his arms to the side, his orbs appearing around him.
“It is a celebration you wish for? Than it's a celebration you get.”
With those words, he would move up one of his arms, targeting the sky with his palm, the orbs moving along his arm and following his gesture to shot up in the sky, rotating to form a spiral, but this was not the spell.. no... The orbs formed into three rings, 3 orbs rotating in each ring as they shot up into the sky. When the reached a save distance to the town, Kuja would close his palm, all of the orbs bursting and sending out a wave of light in the sky, almost looking like fireworks as they sparkled and imploded with Holy-magic. The remaining of the orbs softly rained down onto the stage, fading softly as they touched the ground. Kuja placed a hand on his chest and bowed down slightly to the audience before he looked over to Waltz to offer him a smirk.

"M-I-C-K-E-Y....M-O-U-S-E....M-I-C-K-E-Y....M-O-U-S-E....zzzzzzzzzzzz.....zzzzzzzzz......" While not able to recall just where he heard such a tune, the hooded master already found himself snoozing away despite the thunderous booms of fireworks and crackles of magic outside, a leg casually tipping the wooden chair he was provided back...and back....and baaaack....
...just as his own curtain was magically evaporated in a dazzling display of sparkles, catching the eccentric man off guard mid-nap. "zzzzz-ughwoah, Woah, WOAH---" Back the chair went, crashing backwards as the shocked male tried and failed to keep balance by helicoptering his arms, scrambling to his feet wildly and brushing his coat off as he looked all around. Where was he again? OH! Right...right....
With a clearing of his throat and embarrassment behind him, the dark magician decided to 'limber up' first. First came the cracking of knuckles, followed by the neck. Gotta rotate those shoulders, stretch those legs. Hands rubbed together briskly. It was show time. Arms outstretched themselves forward as fingers waggled at the boys and girls, men and women of all ages. Nothing up his sleeves, and yet, as the hands clasped together and slowly pulled apart, solid golden light seemed to come into existence between the space of his parting hands.
Maybe it was pollen, maybe it was the residual magic of all around. Maybe it was just his luck. "Got just the thing in mind for this. Who's ready to--ahhh dada....who's ready tohooooooo aag gah....who's rea--AAAAHHHPOOF!" With a swift sneeze, the solid light shattered into a fine, powdery golden dust, the cloud drifting all around the master's face. To some, the spell seemed to have failed then and there. Yet...
...the cloud grew, and grew. Past the size of the hooded man's head to twice, thrice the size as gloved fingers reached inside, and seemed to pull a more solid and thick strand of light from within the cloud. Despite its solid appearance, the master worked the material as if it were elastic, stretching it down down down from the cloud that drifted up up UP, before finally letting go as the 'strand' lost a tad of its rubbery elasticity, the force causing the peculiar shape of light to float upwards higher and higher like a balloon. Though it soon became clear.
The thick, solid strand of light was a stem, and the cloud a plume of seedlings. It was a giant, magnificent dandelion that continued to float to the sky like a balloon. Unseen fingers behind the man's back snapped, causing the bottom of the stem to ignite like a firecracker, foreboding sparkles rising up the disappearing stem like a fuse, slowly but surely, until it reached the top.
There was a moment of suspense and silence as nothing seemed to happen, a meager cloud of soft golden light remaining in the sky until another unseen snap of fingers caused it to burst out loudly, the magic within being released as dozens upon dozens of ethereal seedlings rained down from the sky, glittering in the sun.
Not a word was said as the master, back straight and shoulders relaxed as ever, made his way to the others with his hands clasped behind his coat.

[attr="class","kirameki0"] [attr="class","kirameki1"] [attr="class","kirameki2"] [attr="class","kirameki3"] [attr="class","kirameki4"] “Oh my, my my my! Just look at how he crackles with energy!” Clopin engaged the crowd as the Black Waltz emerged. ”What does such an intimidating being know about celebration we wonder?!” Clopin threw his hands in the air to raise the height of the shimmering discs he was juggling while the Black Waltz proceeded with his magnificent thunder spell. Such confidence and quite the display. The thunder spell fit the bill for celebration but Clopin wasn’t sure the imagination was quite there.
”A great display, but does the tiniest of our casters have him beat?” Clopin asked the crowd with clear amusement as the little fairy flew out raining her sparkles over the stage. ”A hammer? How interesting! Just what is she up to?” Clopin was lowered, his hands on his knees as he talked to the little ones of the crowd that had weaved their way to the front to see. A gorgeous mural of showered sparks, lapping waves and crashing thunder. It was beautiful! A wonder to look at, but Clopin wasn’t sure that it qualified as a ‘celebration’ in fact it was even a little bit haunting in its beauty. ”How gorgeous little one! Amazing!” he clapped with glee, juggling the discs again.
The next contestant out didn’t bear the look of a caster, so much so that even the crowd was standing on tip toes to peer at the boy with curiosity. Clopin and the crowd was immediately wowed by a flaming firework display of impressive pyrotechnique! ”SPLENDID! Absolutely marvelous!” Clopin sang as he slipped into a hand stand. The crowd was reacting well too, their expectations quite high at this point. Then came the little mage with the floppy hat, and the littlest of the audience watched eagerly. To the general disappointment of the crow, Vivi’s spell was a great effort and looked pretty good, but unremarkable in comparison to the Black Waltz. ”A great looking spell little one, but a point deduction for a copied attempt is in order I’m afraid. Now now, don’t be disappointed, it isn’t over yet!” he promised the little underdog. Clopin gave the boy a friendly smile.
The next contestant was certainly intimidating, but he had a certain glamour about him that nearly screamed ‘grand.’ The contestant even announced his spell, preparing his audience. His light orbs were radiant, beautiful! ”How otherwordly!” Clopin exclaimed with a clap. ”Though perhaps a bit intimidating for a celebratory gathering.” he gave a wink to one of the little children that was just staring wide eyed after the man with platinum hair to pull him out of his stupor. Music played in the background continuing to give the magic show its backdrop as night was setting on the town. Magic was always better viewed in the night! Another contestant emerged practically bumbling over himself. The crowd was laughing and engaged and when he sneezed the little ones giggled and pointed. First formed a cloud it seemed, a trick but just a part when the man pulled what appeared to be the string of a balloon out from the cloud. Balloons! What a different but perfect approach! But then the balloon seemed to open and sparkle much like the fairy’s magic and it formed what looked to be a large flower out of fireworks. The crowd was certainly in awe of that one! A curtain remained closed. Surely the other contestant had heard them by now. Perhaps he’d gotten cold feet. The show must go on. Clopin clapped for the man in the hood. ”Such wonder and mystery! I didn’t know what was to come next. Did you? Balloons, and a surprise! What a great depiction!” He pointed to a giggling little girl who clapped and hopped up and down.
Clopin spun around his outfit seeming to change color from violets and oranges into a greens and pinks that shimmered in the residual sparkling lights. ”A GREAT effort casters, but let us see what else you’ve got! Show us what sort of CONJURATIONS you have at your disposal! Define that very word if you will. Show our audience your conjurations!” It was definitely going to require a bit of thought on their part. By definition a conjuration was the casting of a spell by supernatural or other means. Less flash now and more mystery to behold. Clopin jumped into the plaza crowed with a rain stick baton, letting the noise making rice slide through it with graceful swaying movements.

Conjuration....conjuration....hrrmmmm....
Book of Prophecies? Nope, that's cheating.
....keyblade? Naaah, seen one, seen em all.
....maybe.....THAT'S IT!
The hooded man practically leaped forward, hands clasping together forward as he acted more like one of the giddy children out on the crowd than an adult. "Ooo, ooo! OOO! I got one! I got one!" Posture was suddenly straightened as the eccentric male cleared his throat and recollected himself, arms going back to their relaxed spot. Silently he walked out onto the center of the stage, before staring straight at Clopin himself...or...as best he could, with those unseen eyes. An arm outstretched itself, followed by another.
"I'm gonna need you to stay still, aight? Ab. So Lutely....still. Think you can manage that Jingle Bells?" With a turn on his heels, the coated magician turned his back to the audience, peeking a second afterwards back at Clopin before turning his head back forward. The hissing of magical ice crackled between his finger tips, as the spell was charged, cupping both hands together to enlarge the spell to the best of his abilities before SLAMMING it straight down, a jagged spiral and spire of ice roughly as tall of the Master forming on the spot, wisps of chilly air escaping all around.
Dusting his hands off on eachother, his hood glanced back again, before a single arm crossed and tucked itself under an armpit, the other getting to work waving around seemingly at random, a single index finger extended. Yet with each movement, the spire of ice seemed to diminish as a cloud of fine powdery ice dust was literally shaved off with each movement of that finger. A glance back here, another series of shaves there, the man taking excellent care to ensure he stood blocking the view of his work. A pause here, a ponder there.....
.... ......... ...................
One final flick of his finger later, the man finally stepped aside, beholding his creation.
What 'stood' before the audience seemed to be a case of seeing double. Carved from the magical ice was Clopin, thumbs stuck in his ears, fingers frozen mid waggle, and tongue out and about. But it was no mere sculpture. The finest detail could be made out, from the wrinkle of a forehead, to a minuscule tastebud, even the slightest of dents in one of his many bells.
"Ehhhh? Ehhhhhhhhh? Whadya think? Meet Coplin Trouillefrost." The black coated conjurer said with a hint of gusto, doing a slight double take of his creation as he looked back. Wasn't it a tad closer? He also didn't recall the hands being on the hips neither.
"An...yways, there ya--" Another glance back at the icey creation, and another new pose, another new distance. Was he feigning surprise? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But the fact remained. Each time the Master looked away, the 'sculpture' would mimic the real Clopin's movements and mannerisms, only to freeze back into place once its creator looked back.
With a simple shrug, arms returned behind the coat, and silent steps were once again taken back to his place with the others, letting his creation remain in comical existence for a little while longer...before eventually crumbling into a neat and tidy pyramid of ice cubes with the snap of hidden fingers.

Vivi's head hung in shame at the publicly announced point deduction. He'd told the Black Waltz that he'd want people to remember him and here he was carrying totally unremarkable copycat spells...and that was just it! He and the Black Waltz were both black mages. Didn't they know all the same spells? How was Vivi ever going to impress the crowd or the nice clown man when he looked so much less intimidating than the Black Waltz? Vivi would have to focus on what made him different! He was so determined and focused that he didn't even notice that his Mr. Marksman friend that he'd met in Twilight Town had been the caster of the fireworks spell that Vivi could only be disappointed he hadn't thought of. The 'platinum haired' contestant casted a spell that was so bright that Vivi was seeing spots. He didn't realize that the spell had come from someone by e was unfortunately familiar with. Then the last spell was amazing! It reminded him of the Prima Vista before they put on their show!
When the Clown man gave the next spell concept, Vivi barely had time to stare after the sparkling flower with wonder let alone think of what he'd cast before the hooded man was already casting again! He made an awesome ice sculpture of Clopin the clown man that kept moving and making faces. All of the children in the plaza were laughing! After a moment the sculpture fell into a big pile of ice cubes which gave Vivi an idea! Fun was what he could do differently than the Black Waltz! Sure the concept was supposed to be a mysterious conjuration but the spell would work! He was sure of it!
Vivi hopped forward into a full speed sprint at the pile of ice cubes only to purposefully fall and go skidding into them with a flail of his arms. He sent as many of them sailing into the air as high and as far as possible, then he moved his palm in a circular wave toward them casting 'Slow.' The ice cubes were all still falling from the disturbance but their movements were severely delayed as they barreled at tortoise like speeds toward the audience. It was only after Vivi had enjoyed his moment of watching little kids jumping up to catch the ice that the little mage turned around...and actually noticed who the platinum haired caster was. The little mage froze, yellow orb like eyes wide. Was he here with the Black Waltz?

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Well... The Waltz certainly had his work cut out for him. His confident smirk soon fell into a dissatisfied frown as the other contestants revealed themselves and their magical abilities. The announcer's praise wasn't really improving his mood. First the Pixie... Then Dieter in all his disgustingly potent magical flames.... He did get a slight smirk out of watching Vivi's devastation due to his similar spell casting but ALL that went away when the next contestant came out... Black Waltz 3's body froze, his eyes shooting WIDE in horror.... Kuja stepped out on stage as brazen as you please, a deep shiver running down his spine as the tailed noble's eyes fell upon him. INSTANTLY, the Waltz felt his knees begin to shake, barely noticable beneath the baggy outfit he wore but a quick look from anyone would reveal the fear in his heart. Oh NO! The master is here and I have NOTHING! I'm dead... I've failed. I'm worthless... One command and he'll KILL me! I'm... I...
His chest rose and fell quickly, heavily, his eyes unable to tear away from the man as he cast a Holy spell upon the field... It was like staring down one's worst nightmare... His creator never really looked mad... More annoyed than anything else... But it was a pitiful glance he was sent.... and that spelled his DOOM. Kuja knew something the Waltz didn't... likely the details of his inevitable dismantling. Once this event was over... So was his life. He managed to snap himself out of his daze as the Announcer declared the second part of the show, CONJURINGS! Whatever that meant! The Mage looked on, watching as a man in black summoned up a mimicry of Coplin made of ice! Vivi was quick to follow up with a Slow-Spell, sending the ice slowly flying out towards the audiance! Returning to his place, the Waltz watched as Vivi caught sight of Kuja... that same fearful gaze the bigger mage had shared by Vivi himself... if the two of them met eyes... Black Waltz 3 would deliver a shaky nod, confirming what he assumed they were both thinking: They... were dead. Old hatreds mattered not... Not when their death stood there, smiling at them like the most generous and terrifying host one could imagine. It was the Waltz's turn it seemed as nobody was stepping up just yet... He had an idea... something simple and nice, much different than his previous act. But Kuja.... His eyes fought against him, almost as if compelled by a magnetic pull to lock onto his master, to remind him of the danger afoot... With impending judgement.... the Waltz felt his confidence wain.... His heart sink in his chest... For the first time in his life, he actually question what the POINT of his life even was anymore... But he had to cast a spell... Death would only come for him sooner if her didn't. With a shaky sigh, he extended his hands, flames igniting within his palms! With small *puffs* of Fire the tiniest of butterflies fluttered out from the more primal shape from which they were born, hundreds of insectoid creations the size of embers flapping the adorably tiny wings to across the audience. So condensed were they, the creatures appeared solid, real, alive... Each one gave off a warm heat and a slight glow, forming a little sea of dancing lights above the ocean of spectators before arching up and disappearing into the sky... joining the stars above... The Waltz crossed his arms tightly, his clawed finger tapping his arm anxiously, his head tilted down so that the rim of his hat hid his face... He didn't want to show his agonizing terror more than it already was... Thunder Cooldown complete!

[attr="class","really"] [attr="class","exhausted"]What good is a star that has lost its light?
[attr="class","rhythm"] ❝ I watch as they fade one by one
| The Dark Knight was left to admire Vivi’s crude replication of Black Waltz No.3’s arcane splendor. Kuja’s careful manipulation of the divine energies made the Dark Knight’s skin crawl, not to say that it wasn’t breathtakingly beautiful – the path he walked wasn’t meant consort with its’ like. Alas, all of the contestants, including himself had paled in comparison to the Master of Master’s display of arcane prowess. Such power, is he perhaps a servant of the Scion , the Daemon-Knight affirmed to himself. His battle-honed instincts momentarily betrayed him as they’d subconsciously coerced him into placing is right hand upon the pummel of his blade. A reluctant sight slipped from between his lips as his spindly fingers splayed, tentatively encircling the well-worn leather hilt. A moment later, the Dark Knight had unsheathed his blade from his back with a practiced roll of his wrist.
He ignored the estranged looks from the crowd as he’d taken a reluctant step forward. His head craned in Master of Master’s direction as the man created a perfect replica of Clopin made of ice. To his surprise, the incredibly life-like mannequin began to move every time the man adverted his gaze. Has this man concerted with the Dark Arts? Necromancing? Golemancing? , the Dark Knight wondered to himself, uncertain which branch of spell-craft this talented Magi was a practitioner. When his display was concluded, Vivi had made use of the remnants of his act, defying the very laws of physics as he’d slowed their descent enough for the children to have time to reach out and try to grasp them. All the meanwhile, the Dark Knight’s lips had begun to move rapidly, reciting memorized scriptures that caused the ambient mana that had laid dormant within his blade to begin to stir to life.
The Crowds’ merriment at Black Waltz’ fiery blossoms was drowned out by an abrupt singular deafening cry, one that was joined by two others in a morbid symphony. This of course begged the question? Where was such a ruckus originating from? At first glance, one could have potentially surmised that it was from Dieter’s blade itself. However, such thoughts were immediately dismissed by the crowd as a singular spectral hand emerged from its’ prison of cold steel. In the time it took one to blink, the entirety of the banshee’s body had come into existence. Despite her woeful cries, one could tell that during her life, she no doubt would have been a beauty beyond reproach. In fact, she was still clad in her wedding garments. She remained poised perfectly still until joined by her two sisters, each of whom looked entirely different.
Their cries symphonized to make a haunting melody as they’d set to work upon the non-verbal command they’d be issued. They’d surged forward and spiraled around the still falling ice cubes, their effect becoming evident as the synergist effects of Dieter and Vivi’s magick caused them to grind to a complete an absolute halt. The Banshee descended upon the static display, their razor-sharp talons shaving off pieces of ice. It took a bit of time, but soon Dieter had replicated a bit of the cosmos, the countless tiny particles glistening like the night sky beneath the sweltering flames caused generated by Black Waltz No.3
The banshee took care to maneuver them away from the heat and closer to the children, offering kind smiles as they’d placed random stars just inches above the children.
1. Used Ame-no-Murakumo to stop the ice cubes and create the cosmos.

The display of the magicians that had entered the event with him was more than he had expected to be. He had already seen little fake mages playing stupid tricks on the crowd but THIS was a new level. Especially the man in the black coat had caught his interest. He seemed to have mastered the art of magic to an extend he had not seen before... Though he did seem like he didn't take it seriously and went the comical route, this man surely must be able of much more things than just create a living replica of someone made of ice. Kuja's hand twitched slightly as he watched the man's display crush into pieces of ice, his eyes narrowing slightly. Such power.. could be so useful for him. His life energy must be radiating... However, he sighed, turning his attention back to the stage when the cries of the banshee's reached his ears. Right now, he was bound to he contest, so attacking someone on stage was not an option, unless he wanted to be disqualified... and after his defeat in the tournament, he wouldn't take ONE MORE defeat on his agenda.
Dieter had done a good job of enchanting the audience and it would be hard to top this... The mage seemed to think for a moment, when an idea struck him. It would take a lot of his concentration, but it was a challenge he was accepting with confidence, shown by the smirk on his face.
He stepped forward, his hand moving out in front of him, his orbs reappearing around him. Taking a deep breath, he would close his eyes, the orbs starting to move around him faster before they shot up into the sky again, suddenly moving in on each other and fusing to one orb. The surface suddenly cracked and out of it an explosion of flames was created, however Kuja started to move his hands like he was creating an invisible web, the flames following his movements and spreading out, carefully formed by his hands and kept alive by his magic to create something new. Two wings spread out, a long burning tail and a head forming, the bend magic flapping it's wings. Kuja had created a phoenix! Kuja continued to bend the magic, the bird flying up, before it came down, flying over the stage in a circle, before it shut up once more, spreading out it's wings, before the flames finally dimmed, a few sparks of fire gliding through the sky, before they also vanished.
Kuja had never used his magic for this before, but he was very proud of what he had been able to do today, his eyes opening again with a smirk on his face from the performance he had managed to create. Though he was sweating slightly, it had been worth it hopefully. He stepped back again, giving the Waltz an other glance, just like Vivi, before he crossed his arms and waited for the next round to start.
Kuja formed Flare-Magic into a Phoenix

Straight on till Morning | The contest was certainly starting to heat up, with the latest display from Kuja leaving many in the audience jaw struck or simply in awe. Tink herself could only look on, her eye twitching slightly as she knew there was no way she'd be able to call up something that big. Or anything at all for that matter. The idea was to perform a trick that was a bit out there, and so far the others hadn't disappointed. Though in truth, she couldn't think of anything that she could do that might count in such an area. Cupping her hand beneath her chin, the pixie would tilt her head to the side, looking around her for a moment before then taking note of the area. Then, she smiled as she saw what she needed.
Holding up one finger as if telling people to wait, the fairy would take off for a moment, appearing before a small child as she stood within the front row. As if beckoning her to come forward, she would look towards her, flying from one side of her to the next as the female would giggle at the glowing creature. Extending her hands out, one eye closed as if narrowing her focus, Tinkerbell would then swoop around the human's head, her dust quickly falling down much like rain as it would sprinkle down upon her. The woman's mother seemed to watch close, keeping to her daughter's side before seeing the fairy soon do the same thing, causing her to seem rather shocked at this invasion of privacy.
Yet soon enough, something began to happen. The girl's feet would soon start to levitate, leaving the ground almost completely behind. Her mother would gasp, taking the girl's hand as she giggled while being grounded by it's grasps. Though as the woman looked on, she would soon feel herself somewhat lighter, causing the pixie to look on as she floated beside them, displaying them to everyone as she remained where she was for the time being.
After all, she didn't want the two of them to float off too far

[attr="class","kirameki0"] [attr="class","kirameki1"] [attr="class","kirameki2"] [attr="class","kirameki3"] [attr="class","kirameki4"] The tone of the music in the show’s background certainly shifted taking on that more subtle mysterious tone not at all unlike a heartbeat. The mysterious hooded man was quick to act and cast his next spell which gave even the Gypsy King a moment of pause. Another show man in the midst it seemed. Even the illusion that the ice sculptured Clopin had no interest in obeying it’s maker was part of the show and it kept the audience reasonably entertained though Clopin wasn’t sure about the comedy in this act. ”Haha! How flattering!” Clopin bowed and the sculpture bowed with him. ”He even has my eyes.”
The little black mage’s attempt was much more insightful and certainly interesting this time around. “Ah a manipulator of time itself! I hope all you little ones are thirsty!” Clopin tossed a joke at the kids and a quick encouraging wink at little Vivi who turned to skip happily toward the back of the stage only to stop suddenly and stare at something with his back awkwardly turned toward the watching audience. ”Go on now little one.” he prompted in attempt to shoo him off.
The next spell by the taller of the mages was truly beautiful though the caster seemed almost begrudging in the cast. ”How mystifyingly beautiful they are!” he crooned aloud in attempt to keep the audience attentive. ”Though they are not the sort of fireflies you’d want to catch I’d imagine.” to emphasize that point he hopped up to catch one only to yelp and shake his hand than make a face at the audience, giggling erupting from some of the littler ones at his antics.
The spell that followed was really one that was tough to place. It began with a mortifying cry only for the apparitions of three beautiful women to come to the warrior’s beckon. They were absolutely haunting in their song and so hollow in their energy that some of the audience members were instinctively shying away from them. A fascinating conjuration indeed, it fit the bill, but the audience was certainly hesitant. ”Sometimes there is beauty in even the things we fear, no?” he reminded some of the folks toward the front.
Next came the platinum haired man and a radiant orb lifted into the skies above captivating the audience and even Clopin as it spread massive wings over the sky and it glided downward only to circle up and away in the form of a large bird in flight, or for some the bird of legend. ”Marvelous! So Exquisite! So beautiful!” he clapped his hands together and the audience seemed quite taken as well.
This left only the small fairy’s spell and she was lost in thought for a moment. Clopin could only imagine that it would seem tough to top a spell like that. She took a moment only to hover near a child and a mother in the audience and Clopin nodded clearly impressed. It was always wise to include the audience in your act as it kept the rest engaged in hopes of being included also. After a few back and forth flight patterns from the illuminated little pixie, the girl and the mother were levitating in the air. ”Oh what fun indeed!” Unfortunately he wouldn’t have classified it as a conjuration when asked. She wasn’t exactly calling something forth or even casting something. It was more of a natural magic that she evidently could share to effect her surroundings. Impressive nonetheless.
”Curiouser and curioser! Hum, where have I heard that before?” He spun and a flash went off at his feet, a plume of billowing smoke engulfing him. He stepped out of the smoke seconds later in blue and violet garb, a mask with a long nose branching from his face nestled on him. ”Magic in any form can take a dark turn you know. Every good casters knows to keep control as well as there is much to fear in such a study. Casters, show us now. Show us the dark MYSTERY that is magic.” He knew very well how tricky this one would be and he half expected that very few of them would even have something to cast to it. Still He was watching and ready to judge, his arms folded triumphantly over his chest.
