X is an Orphan from Rabanastre Low Town, whom has been under the charge of Dieter Wolfram, a member of the Clan - Helios' Ambition. X is likely aware of the other core members of the guild to include Ysera, Syel and Cassialyn ( the newest addtion) Their backstory is entirely up to you and it can be warped dependant on the Class / job that you've chosen. If you go the Black Mage Route - Dieter has probably taught them Fire, if you got White Mage - one of the elderly women in Low Town could of taught them .

Garif - The Garif people live by the ways of the old, Magicite Lore is regarded as a keystone of their culture. It is rumored that they are capable of detecting Nethicite / its' power. The Garif are hume that had forsaken civilization in favor of living within the wilderness. Their tribes are primarily located within the Bancour Region of Ivalice. It is noted that their sexes live seperate when they reach adulthood ( exception are made for families and those who are incapable of caring for themselves) The Garif also are known to wear a mask from the age of six onwards - rarely taking it off ( some have a hunched back due to the weight of their ornament mask.

Helgas- A seldom seen race that possesses the ability to communicate telepathically - however this is noted to be a one-sided street as other's lack the ability to send such messages. However, they've been regarded throughout Ivalican History as grand tacticans

Aegyl- A winged race that normally only resides with Lemures. Although, some have been through Ivalice over the years. Those whom have grown within Leumures are noted to be cold and aloof due to the constant summoning of Yahri feeding upon their anima. It is noted that this and the added strain caused by their body supporting their wings causes a shortened life span. However, those who reside reclusive within Ivalice are noted to have normal life expectancies.
