Chip and Dale's Double Trouble Birthday Cup The town of Disney is all the rage on this day. Balloons are hanging from every available surface, and the entire town is nearly covered in either confetti, or devices to spray confetti. A special event was underway: Chip and Dale were given permission by Minnie to throw a huge tournament for everyone in the town. Because they were such a great pair, they wanted the tournament to show of the greatest two man teams in all the worlds. Now, here they sit behind a tiny announcer's table, with tiny microphones, jumping excitedly at the start of the tournament. Where there was once a gazebo, now stood a tile arena floor, very similar to Olympus Colliseum's arena. "Oh boy!"Yeah, Chippers, we got a great match for everyone!""Mhmm! First up is-"Posting Order: Marlene Wallace, @stella, Fear, @cloudywolf

Marlene looked around in awe as she and Cloud walked together, she held his hand not out of fear, maybe a small case of anxiety at a new world, but this time she was with Cloud, and when she was with him or Tifa she felt much braver and much more confident...aside from the current moment. However, the atmosphere of this world seemed very light and free and festive, not scary at all. She squeezed his hand, looking up at him curiously.
"Are you nervous, Cloud? If you are, don't worry. I'm here with you. People can take on pretty much anything when they're together, right? I mean, I know you can. You can do anything."
Her words were sincere; she truly believes he could handle anything. As they entered the arena, her hazel eyes moved to gaze at the tiling and the people and she heard the announcement and blinked in surprise when she noticed the teeny tiny table..and the two Chipmunks who sat there. She would laugh in excitement, tugging on Cloud's arm a bit to get his attention as she quickly (trying not to be rude) pointed to the Chipmunks with amazement.
”Cloud!! Do you see them?? They're so small! And cute!"
Her attention was then caught by two people, a male and female, approaching from the other side of the 'arena'. Her excitement died down quickly as nerves took over once again. She moved closer to Cloud, almost behind him. She whispered loud enough for him to hear, and possibly only someone close enough to hear her.
"Cloud? Are they who we're 'meeting'? We're up against them?"
Her expression as she peered out from behind Cloud was that of uncertainty, as she didn't really know what to think of the male, but she did think maybe the female might at least be somewhat friendly?

This place…why the hell was she even here?
The world itself was foreign, the very nature of it, and the town that surrounded a storybook castle that dominated the skyline, it all seemed like it had been ripped from a brilliant abstract’s mind. Whomever their gods were, these rather cartoonish denizens, they certainly had a very unusual flair for creation. Philoctetes, the goat man of that other world, had said this tournament was a collaboration between the two worlds. Some means of promoting peacekeeping, to show whomever was behind the growing darkness that the denizens of the light were not afraid. A public event like this was apparently the strongest message they believed they could send. Competitors here would gather, show their skills and their prowess, in hopes to demonstrate a lack of fear to those that sought these worlds harm.
An admirable gambit, yet it was still just that- a gambit.
There was no telling what might happen at this contest. Based on all the things she had lived to see, Stella recognized that despite how friendly these games were played out to be, therein belied sinister workings of some form of nature. Where there was light, there was inevitably shadow. Something was bound to happen today, it only remained to see just what that something was. Intent to keep an eye out for whatever that might be, the young queen was prompt in her arrival for the preliminaries. The last contestant to sign up, she had arrived but a few hours before registration had closed, overseen by a rather kind anthropomorphic cow and her friend, a horse. They had explained the rules, how a team would be randomly drawn for a bye round, and the nature of how the teams were to be paired. Orientations had gone smoothly, Stella taking into account all she needed to know, before taking her leave from the makeshift arena in the town square. She took her time exploring what was known to be Disney Town, asking around a bit about the locale and the world’s history from some of the shopkeepers. She came to find that this world was overseen by benevolent monarchs, a King Mickey, and Queen Minnie Mouse- yet unfortunately could not obtain an audience with the royals.
It mattered little in hindsight, Stella presuming the reason simply that they possibly intended to oversee the contest. She had recalled a luxury section among the makeshift bleachers, emptied at the time before registration. She had taken the time to also indulge in some of the local cuisine at a diner, which had been holding specials on desserts in honor of the tournament. A bar of sea-salt ice cream caught her interest, yet failed to make her top five list of favorite flavors. Nonetheless it had been tasty regardless. She returned to the arena, unfortunately having missed whatever opening ceremonies that were beheld to honor the royals, denizens, and the contestants alike. Having done her best to avoid the other fighters, Stella used the time up until her match to observe the prior matches to gauge the competition. Sometimes it was done from the cloth covered, makeshift hall that led to the rest area offered to contestants, other times it had been from an empty seat near the end of a row in the bleachers.
The competition was steeped, odds certainly stacked against a few teams. The crowds seemed to roar for the pairing of two former champions, whom Stella took as a duo of grandstanding jackasses, that faced off against a pirate of some fashion and his giggalo friend. There were several competitors wielding keys, yet as childish as they seemed, she would come to find they were hardly for show. The rest of the teams- all possessing unusual weapons, abilities, and unsettling kindness befitting the stage of this sponsored bout, were all taken into consideration for their own respectable formidability. Though as long as she cared to watch each of the matches, there was potentially no sign of the team they were set to face, nor of her assigned partner, a one Shiro Utuago, nicknamed Blackout. Stella suspected the name was more than just that, chalking up the likelihood that Blackout was probably off somewhere blacked out in a drunken stupor. Having seen no indications to this enigma anywhere around the town square, nor among the market, she decided to check with registration again to see if they had possibly heard from him.
The young royal found, much to her disliking, that her partner’s name had been crossed out- replaced by a single word, that seemed scribbled with haste: Fear. She found herself squinting at the addition, her brow furrowing with disappointment that this Shiro had failed to show. It did little for an advantage, as she was still in the dark about her ally as well as those that were matched up against them: a Cloud Strife and Marlene Wallace. Stella looked around the registration tent when the final chime for Match #7 had filled arena, skimming the small crowd for any signs of her partner. Nothing. Stella let out an exasperated sigh at this, shaking her head with more disappointment. Excellent. Not only do I not know who he is- I have no idea where he’s at either! She rolled her eyes at the thought, before her attention was directed toward the arena again. The voice of the Chipmunks filled the intercom once more, announcing Cloud and Marlene first.
Now was the time apparently.
Stella cursed under her breath, arms uncrossing as she made her way for the fighting grounds. ”And facing them…!” Stella could hear the commentating rodent take a deep breath. ”Her Majesty, Stella Lux Verum the Thirteenth. Queen of Elysium; Savior of Libra, and Vanquisher of the Immortal King!” Another deep breath was followed by questionable sounds from the audience. The applause received when she emerged from the shade of the tents was considerably less enthusiastic than the other competitors. She managed to catch a few skeptical looks from the crowd, but paid them little mind- proceeding to the center of the arena, not bothering to address them with a wave, much less any regard whatsoever. She wasn’t expecting nowhere near the kind of reception she would have garnered back home, and this crowd so far wasn’t disappointing her. Stella remained silent as she approached, the rasp of onyx boots upon the stone dais that dominated the arena center. Her attention was drawn to this blond swordsman, and the sheepish girl that sought refuge behind his obsidian battle-skirt. Guess I missed the ‘Bring your kid to the tournament’ memo? she mused to herself. Arms crossed again, hip swayed, as she raised a brow from Marlene to Cloud.
”So how is this going to work?” she asked with genuine curiosity. ”It seems my partner has gone-“ She cut herself off when the voice of a Chipmunk filled the PA again, finding herself caught off guard as she turned about to get a glimpse of her approaching partner. ”…Missing…” she trailed off, finishing her prior sentence with a tone much more lighter, filled with uncertainty. She garnered the crowd’s reaction to this competitor, finding her confidence more at unease with every step toward the trio that this engima would take. Stella stared this Fear down, trying to gather an opinion of him- it- whatever this fighter seemed to be. Looking back to Cloud and Marlene, Stella tried to guess what they made of this Fear. For all accounts Fear appeared humanoid- yet there was something unsettling about the aura of this man’s heart as she returned her focus on him. A glimmer of light, caged in a primordial darkness. There were only a few souls that walked Libra whose heart looked anywhere close to this, and they were the ones responsible for why she walked these foreign worlds in the first place.
No, this wasn’t good.

OBSERVE THE UNIVERSE FROM A BIGGER PERSPECTIVE. [To Cloud and Marlene - Stella and I had communicated to sync up our posts and there was miscommunication. Shiro is unaware of his name due to memory loss, thus I had changed my display name to avoid further confusion. Shiro/Blackout never signed up as himself so please disregard the segment of Stella’s last post referring to Shiro ‘Blackout’ Utuago as that never happened. Thank you.] Head pounding, frantic grasps for air were inhaled by the soldier as his figure stumbled into a brick wall. It felt as if there was a thick residue that kept the man's eyes sealed shut; his extended arm firmly supported his figure from collapsing, palm pressed against the chalky texture of the wall. Confusion was running amidst the empty mind, feeling his focus split into four and bounce against walls, struggling to get his functioning back together. ”Where am I?'” the question started to whisper throughout his head, overlapping each other thought where the thoughts alone were hindering the intellect's chances at recovering from the headache. ”Well hello, stranger!' an alarming greeting shot the raven haired man's eyes wide open, expressing a crazed look that Shiro didn't prefer to fashion. ”Oh, I'm so sorry! You having a hard time?” a moose anthropomorphic character apologized and asked, the animal's figure towering above his own. Instinct said to attack with ferocity, but his observations of the locale quickly processed, showing that the cheerful individual was not abnormal to their surroundings. Confetti popping, bouncy and giddy instrumentals, noisy chatter amongst the street, conversing about the hype for a local tournament; the observer took it all in at a rapid pace. The experiment was not in the right mindset for the friendliness that took place. A warm and cozy aspiring shoulder tap, one that would normally calm an individual, started to take shape by the pleasant mammal. Immediately, the pained soldier's eyes darted at the gloved hand that was in contact with his shoulder, his hand retracted from the wall and took an aggressive hold on the wrist of the cartoony guy, bending it backwards in a quick moment, causing a loud snap that was merely drowned by the loud atmosphere. The moose groveled in pain, his welcoming expression changing into to a wounded one. Quite frankly, one shouldn't do that to one that is obviously a newcomer to a world. However, Shiro analyzed the mistake but couldn't quite process the embarrassment with ringing in his ears and his heart pounding miles a minute; only panic. ”I-I'm sorry,'” the words escaped his lips, unsure if they were heard, and then the man took off in a dash. Knocking into a citizen's shoulder after a citizen's shoulder, his eyes scanning for a place of solace. Finding himself in an alley with only one other somebody, his butt landed on the sandy mustard pavement, back resting against the exterior of a building. The man's hands rummaged through his own hair in a panic, the intellect struggling to find a reason why he was undergoing so much pain. The frustration and pain were then vented out in a long agonizing groan that elevated in volume, likely to be enveloped by the noisy surroundings. The following actions of his were out of his control. It was a needed haven, a desperate escape for the two resident’s of his body. Shiro could hear the heartless within screaming; it hit him all of a sudden, the light was too much bear; all the glee and hope within the people that were present in the town. The soldier’s eyesight started to get enveloped in the darkness, feeling his body slip away into a portal of darkness. There wasn’t anyway the two’s now-combined nature could handle the excruciating light on the world. They needed a shell to balance it out. --- ”Dale, what are we going to do!? The tournament is too big of a hit, we have an odd number of people for doubles!” the chipmunk yelled at his big nosed compadre. ”I'll fill in,'” a voice sneered in the darkened sonorous tone that was associated with the heartless. Walking up to the frantic chattering animals, the soldier spoke to them under the yellow helmet that represented a common enemy to the two hosts. The larger nosed chipmunk'’s eyes widened as it had been caught in the headlights, it's little finger pointing at Fear with one hand and hitting his chipmunk friend with the other, bringing both of their attention to volunteer. “A heartless, Chip!?!'” Dale yelled, starting to cower behind the other. Chip seemed to be at a loss of words, mouth wide open in shock. ”I-I don't think there's a rule saying we can't not accept a heartless,'” Chip stuttered as he started to read the rules' that were penned to his paw. Clearly, the rules were elaborate. It wasn't that Blackout wanted to use said form in the cutesy town of smiles; it was the only way he could breathe. There was too much light, the heartless within affected the man'’s ability to adapt more than he thought. There was a internal desire to shield himself from all the light, letting the darkness out in attempt to balance the conflict of the heartless and soldier's nature. ”What do we jot you down as? Do you have a name?'”Shiro could literally feel Fear smiling on the mental plane; Fear liked to share its name as it fed its dark ego. They shared the wheel however; the soldier was not a boastful man and Fear' just ringed of obnoxiousness. At the time, the intellect shared Fear's desires and got it confused with his own unfortunately; he felt the need for it to be spread. Crouching down, the jacketed biker looking persona stared into the tiny animal's eyes through his bright white visor. “If you must write a name, tell me. What are you feeling right now...?'”--- ”Ladies and gents, joining the Vanquisher of the Immortal King will be a contestant without a name, a creature we all love to hate; give it up for the heartless that goes by ‘Fear'!”Heartless were not loved beings. Pistols drawn, the helmeted soldier walked onto the arena, met with a wave of booing and gasps as the heartless insignia gleamed in the sunlight. A tomato, melon, and apple flew Fear's way with the intent to pelt the creature down from the side. Blackout's third eye caught whiff of the hurling food right away, firing three successive shots into the fruit, preventing everything but fruit residue getting on the man's attire. Shiro felt discouraged inside with the audience's reaction, but he could feel Fear relishing off the hatred. The heartless was ready to show what it was capable of. The intellect felt swallowed up inside his head again, watching striking flashes of lightning in a pitch black mindscape; viewing the world through Fear’s eyes as one would a window. Shiro’s will was strong enough, however, to feel that he had a hand on the wheel although the strength of his grip varied. Meanwhile, Fear joined his teammate for the first time. She made note of him as he did her, he felt her gaze gave him a neutral feeling compared to the audience. Perhaps that was her feeling on the whole event, her demeanor not seeming keen to battle. Not that surprised him given their bizarre match up. The male seemed to be somewhat intimidating, but the child- not so much. How the two would fair against them was beyond him nor did he care. At least the heartless didn’t. Fear was never a simple minded creature before he merged with the soldier; the heartless knew a threat, a killer of darkness when he saw one. Cloud. It only fueled Fear’s will to fight despite the child. On the other hand, Shiro was confused- unsure of why they let a child into the tournament. How a grown man could bring an innocent into a tournament of scars and bruises; it just wasn’t fathomable. One could say there was a sense of disgust on the intellect’s end for the spiky haired opponent. Fear groaned mentally, knowing that its host’s hesitance would hinder its performance. Hopefully Stella could make up for his lack of aggression, but the heartless had its doubts. The woman was an enigma; Fear was interested in how the fight would pan out. “If I misplay, communicate. I will likewise,” Shiro spoke under the helmet to his teammate. Then Blackout shifted his attention to the pair holding hands, “You bring a child onto a colorful battlefield, but a battlefield nonetheless. I fail to understand your reasoning. I hope a lesson is learned today.”Shiro wouldn’t let bullets rain when they were lethal despite Fear’s intent, his will making him lock the switches of his pistols to non-lethal ammunition mode where he’d fire stamina reducing magical bolts instead. Painful regardless- there’d just be no internal bleeding of a child that day. He made sure to exaggerate the motion more (however hidden to the rival duo) on his left side where Stella kept watch, hopeful that she’d note the transition without a disclaimer to their opponents. Blackout wanted Cloud to protect the child as her life depended on it despite the truth. Transition completed, the soldier quickly extended his left arm with Valor in hand, firing several shots at the little girl. Concurrently, he snapped Mercy into its holster, clenching is right fist- focusing on the blonde man. Before the first shot was fired, Shiro started to manipulate the gravity of the warrior, altering the direction and intensity of it. The intent was to send Cloud flying one way with his aim on the child, knowing it would cause Cloud much additional stress to fight through it and protect the kid. The tactician predicted this would cause Cloud to take more shots than avoid them, whilst believing them to be incredibly harmful to the little one’s stature, in his attempt to save her. Taking advantage of one’s feelings for an individual and their safety didn’t cross a line of the heartless. TAGGGED @cloudywolf
| NOTES Recap-tldr present attire1. eruption of fear - the heartless inside him can create a thick shell after erupting from the tattooed insignia on the soldier's back; hard like steel. The soldier cannot be harmed until the heartless is dazed/broken. It can break once it's HP is depleted and causes Fear to retreat back into the emblem. It manifests Shiro’s voice darker as well as provides the heartless more sway on the soldier’s mind state. [Uses - once per thread; HP - 10] 2. Shiro shot first. Focus rapid fire aimed at Marlene with stamina reducing magical bolts (still bruise and hurt though) 3. Manipulated cloud's gravity direction and intensity- sending him flying one way. manipulation - the soldier can harness and manipulate gravity of objects/creatures/people with the assistance of his gauntlet that was engineered for said purpose. This can be applied in numerous instances in different ways. Examples include lifting object/player off the ground, applying a higher weight of gravity to object/player to slow it/them down, slowing an object's/player's fall, and forcing an object/player back. [Cooldown on objects - 1 post; Duration on objects - 2 posts; Cooldown on other players - 2 posts; Duration on other players - 1 post]
Mercy and Valor - guns provided to Blackout by his homeworld’s government, giving the soldier the means to silence his designated targets. The guns have two settings that can be switched between freely by accessing a push-switch on the side. One setting sets the ammo to lethal piercing bullets. The other setting changes the ammo to non-lethal stamina reducing violet magical bolts.

Cloud looked about the waiting room as he readied his six swords for battle. He was looking over one of his switchblade swords, testing its function and looking over its edge making sure that it was primed for battle. He then looked across at his partner and sighed. Cloud took this opportunity to sign up for this tournament to take a break from things. He usually doesn’t fight for sport; Cloud usually doesn’t feel right about swinging around his sword for fun and for tournaments but something told him that there was something to gain from being a part of this competition. It was a two on two tournament, and Cloud’s partner…was Marlene. Cloud wasn’t too sure about all of this; it had been Marlene’s idea to sign up for the tournament after having found themselves in a new world. They were fortunate that it was a world like this; Cloud still didn’t like the idea of Marlene traveling in between worlds but Marlene was insistent. Barret was going to kill Cloud. Cloud stood up and sheathed all six of his Fusion Swords into his back harness. He thought about it and he unsheathed the First Tsurugi, the base of his Fusion Swords and held it in his left hand. Cloud nodded at Marlene, telling her it was time for them to head out. Marlene grabbed Cloud’s right hand and they walked out to the fighting platform.
Once they appeared before the crowd, the crowd roared. Marlene took in the sights as Cloud kept his eyes on his opponents. The crowd was unusually loud; Cloud wasn’t sure if it was because they were familiar with him or not, though. Cloud was notorious for entering these tournaments but he only entered them because he thought it would get him close enough to Sephiroth so he could destroy him. Cloud never really cared if he won or lost; just as long as he was able to get to Sephiroth and kill him. Marlene pointed at the chipmunks running the show; Cloud nodded at the young girl at his side with a light smile, making sure that she didn’t go ignored. Cloud held onto Marlene’s hand as the two walked up the stairs and onto the fighting platform. Cloud stared into the eyes of his opponents; giving them a blank stare so as to hide whatever he happened to be thinking. He was good at hiding his thoughts and emotions and it will serve him well in this fight.
Cloud paid no mind and give no reply to the two before him. Cloud had his reasons for bringing Marlene; it was due to the fact that him entering with Marlene was all Marlene’s doing. The explanation wouldn’t change anything. But now, it was time for Cloud to change his mindset. He turned his battle mind on and tightened the grip on his sword. Cloud narrowed his eyes and exhaled, readying himself for battle, and it would seem as though his opponents were not going to waste any time. The man took out his guns and began to let the bullets fly. However, something strange happened. Cloud began to feel himself move but not under his own power. Cloud wasn’t sure if this was his opponent’s doing or not but he was not about to let himself get separated from Marlene. However, Cloud spun his gigantic sword so that the point of the blade was pointing toward the ground and he quickly stabbed it into the ground, turning the gigantic blade’s flat side toward his opponents’ gunfire in order to guard Marlene who was behind him and himself and to keep himself as well as Marlene steady as well. Cloud was lucky that she was so small.
“Hang on tight , Marlene! This is gonna be tough!”
Cloud had to counter attack to stop this opponent of his in his tracks. He wasn’t sure if he should cast Fire magic. Given the way things are going, the fire attack might blow back toward Cloud and hit him and Marlene. The only other offensive attack he could use without using his sword was a devastating one but it could be one that could stop his opponent’s attack run. Cloud decided to go for it. Cloud then started to gather energy in his free hand and then he thrust his palm forward from behind his sword, casting the "Extreme Magic Attack" known as Ultima. From there, green and white sparkles fell from the sky around his opponent. It was then that the earth beneath them began to crack. A bright light will flashed and then, from there, a gargantuan explosion of titanic proportions, colored in shades of green, black, and white. After the explosion, Cloud peeked out from behind his sword to check the damage he had done, if there was any.
Actions Taken:
1. Cloud defends against the bullets and the gravity by stabbing his sword into the ground and hiding behind the flat side of his sword.
2. Cloud casts Ultima
Moves Used:
Ultima: Cloud utilizes his Ultima Materia to cast this spell. This spell is known for being dubbed as the "Extreme Magic Attack" and it is known for being one of the strongest spells under the sun of Cloud's own world. Not many can stand against it and leave unscathed. Cloud will gather energy in both his hands and thrust his palms forward toward whom he wishes to cast this spell on. From there, green and white sparkles will fall from the sky around Cloud's opponent or opponents and then the earth beneath them will break and a bright light will shine, from there a gargantuan explosion of titanic proportions, colored in shades of green, black, and white, will hit Cloud's enemies, dealing unimaginable and non-elemental damage to them. This is a gigantic area attack that covers nearly everything before Cloud and it can be very hard to avoid, let alone block against. This is a spell that cannot be reflected upon Cloud, either, for it is immune to the spell "Reflect" or any other type of ability that might have the same function as the spell "Reflect". (4 post cooldown).

In the span of what seemed to be just minutes, Marlene noticed several things. One, the lady who had been in front of them was now gone, as if she had never been there at all, and two, the opponent they faced was seriously one of the grumpiest meanies she had ever seen. She was glad that her reaction to the people entering the arena had been to duck behind Cloud, because it had probably saved her from the meanie. She had held onto Cloud tightly when the dark man had taken his position and then fired at then, though it seemed, more specifically, he aimed at her. Cloud had slammed the giant sword into the ground as he had appeared to be almost pulled in the opposite direction, but the sword kept him in place, and she had held onto him at his instruction, very tightly. She had hidden her face against him when he used Ultima, to shield her eyes from the explosion.
The giant blade had not only anchored them in place, but had protected them from the shots fired. She peeked around the blade edge, then back up at Cloud, somewhat shaken but she was okay; she was with Cloud, after all. The ground was still cracked from Cloud's Ultima, and she was awed at the marks it had left.
"Wow.. I guess it's a really good thing that your sword is so big; even if it must be be really heavy to carry sometimes. Thank you for protecting me, Cloud."
Her heart was beating quickly; this guy wasn't playing around. And since the other was gone, it seemed that she and Cloud must now take him on together; if Cloud let her. She had brought a bag with her of miscellaneous things for when the tournament was over, and they had time to just look around the confetti-covered town. At the moment, however, she thought some of those items might be more useful if she dug them out for this fight.
Her hand closed around a handful of crayons; though they were simple and probably considered not dangerous, perhaps they could be a distraction that would allow Cloud a couple of moments to attack. On the plus side, these were freshly bought crayons, with unused points. She peered back around the sword's edge, and focused on their 'enemy'.
”Hey! Didn't anyone teach you it's mean to just attack without even saying hello? You're one big meanie, and I've seen a few!"
Her hand would come up, and the pointy crayons flew from her grasp toward the big grumpy, scattering from the group they had been held closely in by her hand. A barrage of coloring items, an unusual attack, but it was something she could sacrifice to help Cloud.
"Here! Maybe coloring something will make you less grumpy? I know I love coloring."
She would look to Cloud briefly, a small smile on her face, one of a child's mischief.----------- Actions: Marlene hurled her crayons at Fear in the hopes of distracting him, to support Cloud.

OBSERVE THE UNIVERSE FROM A BIGGER PERSPECTIVE. The soldier observed the pair as he baraged them with bullets, taking note of the blonde’s reaction to the attack. It was clear to the intellect that his opponent was quick on his feet, but the heartless’ aggressiveness had his opponent with their weapon firm in the ground- a situation where Fear recognized the opportunities that came along with it. The mission was to separate the two and rapid thoughts were spiraling on how to achieve said result. Shiro needed Cloud in a state of distress. It was time to test his strength. In Traverse Town, the soldier had the strength to toss scum left and right, some much bigger than he was. Behind the pair, darkness sparked and combusted into a gateway of the dark, a corridor for one to travel. The audience didn’t need a show; they needed two unconscious bodies and a standing victor. Shiro thought of home, a never ending night lit by flickering street lights; that was where they’d fight. It was then that Shiro’s eyes, under the helm, caught whiff of Cloud’s palm spread open, clearly summoning an unnatural power. There was more to his opponent than a sword wielding bruiser, clearly. Darting forward, the soldier flexed his acrobatic skills by leaping into the air over the duo as he heard the ground to make a loud deep crack, flipping in the process to face their backside. Firing off more stamina reducing bolts at Cloud, he hoped that his opponent’s grip and stature would be significantly weakened. There was intent to grab and hurl his opponent into the vortex, but the cracking and sparkles that appeared throughout the arena, it was apparent that it was only the calm before the storm. Quick stepping back into the corridor of darkness, he was met with pressured feeling as he made his retreat. Combat boots clanked against the invisible plane he walked from world to world, Blackout’s eyes still staring the entrance down, prepared for any sort of surprise attack. The only thing that would reach his senses was an explosion tremendously vibrating the plane he walked, the reflecting bright colors of Disney Town shifting rapidly throughout the corridor from which he came. Not that he was second guessing his confidence but the intellect’s mind was assessing the capabilities of his opponent. All Cloud had to do was open his palm and destruction occurred. In the end, it was mind over matter; Cloud was to be defeated with planning on the go. Only a moment after the explosion occurred, the helmeted soldier took off back to where he came, immediately side stepping once back onto the arena, precautious of any surprise attacks. Said surprise attack was a… crayon? Not that he knew what it was, but he naturally caught the first crayon thrown at him; it wasn’t a weapon. Sending the crayon up his sleeve with a quick gesture, the soldier paid no further mind to the child as he continued his ranged approach on Cloud. Perhaps the child would accept the acknowledgement that’d he draw later, but he wasn’t willing to let any form of friendly interaction take him off his game. As the bullets flew, Fear walked backwards to keep his distance as his aim focused further and further on his opponent. It was as he was doing such that he'd notice that his partner was no longer there, as if Cloud's attack had her done for within a moment's grasp. Weak and pathetic if true; Fear was better off without the hindrance. TAGGGED @cloudywolf
| NOTES 1. Opened and used a corridor of darkness to Traverse Town in order to escape Cloud's ultima 2. Fired stamina draining bullets at Cloud from above as he leaped over the duo cowering behind the ground stuck sword. 3. Rapid fire at Cloud after he entered the arena via dark corridor, catching and sleeving one of Marlene's crayons in the process.
dark corridor - the soldier can temper with the darkness within his veins and summon a dark corridor to access an area that he can recall [cooldown - two posts]

This fight was interesting to say the very least. He never fought anyone that held power over gravity before. It was sure to be a challenge. Although, with Marlene at his side, Cloud wasn’t really able to do much. As Cloud went ahead to let loose one of his more powerful spells, he had heard his opponent come forward…very quickly. Speed kills in any fight and Cloud was among the fastest fighters around, however, because dear Marlene was around, this fight was more about chess than checkers. As the explosion happened, Cloud peeked out just to see his opponent fly over him and aim his gun at him. Cloud knew that he was wide open for an assault, Marlene was as well even more so. Cloud quickly used his free hand to grab one of the attachments, the hollow blade in particular to deflect some of the shots, however one got though, grazing Cloud in the left shoulder. Cloud winced when the bullet grazed him; it felt unusual but nothing too alarming. He was, at least, able to protect Marlene from getting hit. That was the main mission first and foremost, Cloud would rather let anything happen to him than to see Marlene get hurt. His opponent then made his way into a portal…a corridor of darkness and when that happened, the invisible weight that had been holding him down alleviated from Cloud. Cloud felt control over his own body and his weight distribution again and with that in mind, he quickly thought about attaching the hollow blade attachment to the front of his First Tsurugi, making the blade stronger. However, he wanted to make sure that Marlene was protected. For now, he would keep his main blade attached to his hand and into the ground. Cloud nodded to Marlene when she thanked him for protecting him with a smirk. Cloud looked all around him, knowing full well how corridors of darkness worked. He was going to reappear at a vantage point. He would keep the main blade steady until he found out where he was. He would have to take down Cloud in order to win and with an extra pair of good eyes belonging to one Marlene Wallace, Cloud had a 360 degree view of the fighting platform, nothing was getting around without him knowing about it in any way, shape or form and this point was proven when Cloud’s opponent appeared again.
The opponent came back in through another corridor of darkness but Marlene was able to pick him out and interestingly, throw crayons at him. His opponent kept the crayons; Cloud had never met a friendly Heartless before. However, he couldn’t let that distract him. Cloud thought that it would be difficult to protect Marlene but Cloud forgot something very important: she was Barret’s daughter and with her with him, Cloud was going to have absolutely zero problems seeing the floor. As his opponent fired his guns, Cloud used his hollow blade attachment to focus and swat every single bullet away from him and Marlene, using the techniques that he had to learn on the go against Yazoo and Loz when he was, actually, trying to save Marlene and Denzel. After he finished his attack run, Cloud decided that he would keep his opponent in front of him; it was the only way to keep a focused eye on him and keep him away from Marlene. Cloud decided to use Meteorain, spinning his hollow blade rapidly then giving a final swipe at the air so as to cast it upon his opponent. It was then that six meteors came from high in the sky and then flew down onto his enemy. Cloud kept his grip on his main blade just in case.
Actions Taken:
1. Cloud takes out the hollow blade attachment and deflects the bullets but ends up taking damage to the shoulder due to being surprised
2. Cloud, because of Marlene's surprise attack, was able to see and block the bullets well enough during Fear's second attack run with the hollow blade attachment again
3. Cloud uses Meteorain
Moves Used:
Meteorain: This attack from Cloud is a bit stronger than the others. Cloud begins to spin his blade rapidly, he then jumps high into the air and swings his blade across and then(spontaneously, I might add) meteors begin to fly from the sky above onto his enemy. This is a strong wide area attack that can cause great damage to his enemies. (4 post cooldown)
She was surprised by the opponent's quick moves, even his brief disappearance, and she stayed close to Cloud. She was very unhappy when she realized he took a couple of the bullets fired and was injured. When she saw this Marlene was quite distressed and shouted her dislike of this event at the one who caused it, upon his return, with her shower of crayons; he stole one. She frowned. Maybe he would color, but it would seem that right now she would have to be without her crayons, and that he intended to try to take down Cloud. But he didn't know two things about how opponents. One, that Cloud was amazing and would fight to his last to protect others; he was her dad, in many ways. Marlene, was not only part of a family, but she was the daughter of Barrett Wallace, who would also give his all in battle and fight to protect others. She was his daughter, and she would not let him down.
Cloud wielded his blade in a way that was incredibly familiar, and she realized why; it was the same way he had defended against Kadaj and Loz and the others when he had come to rescue her and Denzel. She felt a warmth inside, and a sense of both pride in Cloud and gratefulness at his devotion. He really did care, no matter what people thought. They just didn't know him like his family did; like she did. Her chin was lifted in determination, her confidence boosted by Cloud. She thought back for a moment, and smiled when she found the words she was looking for. Standing by Cloud, she would make her goal to protect his back, and keep eyes open for their opponent's moves and possible opportunities.
"One is strong, and can fight a great fight. But there's nothing like having a second at your back. Two can fight a war, together."
She mimicked Daddy Barrett's words, a smile on her face as she looked to Cloud for a moment that was between moments, her hazel eyes shining. We can do this...
At the same time that Cloud used Meteorain, Marlene dug in her bag of things and pulled out a full bag of marbles. Her own weapons, in effect, but across the ground. Small, medium, large, assorted glass and other materials that made up marbles would scatter across the floor, and though she wasn't really aiming to hurt their opponent, she certainly wanted him to regret hurting Cloud. Even if he was going to color with her eventually.
”If that's how we're going to play, let's play..!"----------- Actions: Marlene unleashed assorted sizes of a rather large bag of marbles across the field. This causes a slippery type of footing. If stepped on, they can cause the one who encountered them to fall or stumble, even roll.

OBSERVE THE UNIVERSE FROM A BIGGER PERSPECTIVE. Fear was in awe of the swordsmanship that Cloud flexed, managing to whack all of the bullets elsewhere. It only made the fight more thrilling for the heartless. The perks of being confined in Shiro’s body was being able to partake in fights that the heartless would have second guessed doing so alone. Blackout was going to be a great use for the darkness and Fear sensed it. Once the blonde changed the pace of his swings to not match the pace of the heartless’ trigger fingers, Fear had a hunch that more magic would be cast. Hopefully casting whatever would have allowed a few more shots to go through. It was do or die, the magic sent six meteors hurling at him from above. No time to format a plan, the son of the miner; not to forget mentioning an miner of floating masses; subconsciously performed what was taught to him at a growing age- the gravity manipulator altered his gravity and made a great leap of height immediately. Flying over the burning meteors that spiraled at his former location, the soldier felt great heat that caused a sweat under the metal-like shell. As the sixth meteor passed, Blackout fired rapidly from the air as his gravity slowed down at the peak of his leap- aim aimed right at Marlene as she started to unload her bag of objects all over the arena. With a quick descent, the intellect aimed his rapid landing at location few of spheres, making sure there would be no slip ups. It was the memoryless man that underestimated the speed of the spheres or the accuracy of his landing; regardless, Blackout stumbled upon his feet touching the ground. One whom had just avoided hurling meteors tended not to have the most graceful fall, the tactician supposed. Fear had to cut himself some slack, no performance was perfect. After a moment of regaining his posture, the heartless continued the onslaught of rapid fire on the girl who was determined to get the spheres to cover the whole arena. The child was giving him a headache.---Inside the mind of the body they shared, Shiro was amiss with mental projections of the two foreign objects, that Marlene had thrown, cupped in his hands. Observing the marble and crayon, the blue aura of his felt a heavy feeling, uncertain of why. It was then that a sweet bit of piano could be heard echoing across his mind as Fear fought. Looking around, the man pinpointed the location of the music. A feint laugh of a child was then heard, sending Shiro’s conscious into a state of wonder and curiosity- leaving the wheel for the heartless to two hand. Blackout walked, to what felt like an unexplored corner of his mind, to come to a door with a peep hole. The aura tried to open the door from within only to let down as it wouldn’t budge. Disheartened, Shiro pressed his arm against the door, palm facing towards the barrier as he took a peek of what was inside.
“-------, do you want to play Marbles?” a young girl, that shared similar features to Marlene, asked a figure in the distance with excitement. Beyond her, at a table, was a young boy with raven hair whom gave no response. What was his name?
No response was given; the boy continued the draw at the table as he multi-tasked, reading a book.

| NOTES 1. Used moon jump to dodge the meteors 2. At the peak of his leap, fired at Marlene as his gravity slowed down before making a speedy descent 3.Stumbled upon landing due to the marbles, Fear continued to fire at Marlene as she spread marbles across the arena.
moon jump - the soldier can alter his gravity to where he can reach great heights and then speed down at a rapid pace. Altering one's gravity was skill necessary to those that wanted to traverse his home planet with ease due to the floating masses of land. This ability can be stopped mid-way to act as a jump. As this battle raged on, it was clear that this man was not fighting Cloud. He was fighting Marlene. There could be plenty of reasons why. He might realize that Marlene was the key to Cloud’s victory, serving as his extra pair of eyes. It could be that Marlene, for lack of better words, was just utterly annoying to his opponent and he just attacked her out of spite. He wasn’t sure which one was the truth. Either way, Cloud had to find a way to take control of the battle. This opponent of his was controlling it from long distance. Cloud had been playing defense not just because his opponent had guns but also because he had to make sure Marlene was safe. Cloud could care less if he won this tournament; if Marlene was safe during this trek away from the planet, that would be good enough for him. Cloud kept a good eye on Marlene when she took advantage of his Meteorain attack, she threw marbles to try to catch the opponent off guard and keep him off balance. Cloud was surprised at Marlene’s resourcefulness. He had so many questions, one of them being how she got all these items. Cloud didn’t remember her having these many things, let alone buying it, or perhaps maybe he did but he just did so that she would stop asking, maybe Barret bought them, or Tifa perhaps…
His opponent, however, was seemingly able to avoid all six meteors by jumping up into the air. However, he began his counter attack by shooting from the air. Cloud simply unearthed his main blade to shield Marlene, blocking the bullets once more. Cloud had hoped that with this action, his opponent would realize that shooting and hurting Marlene was not in the cards for him and that he would have to bring his attention to Cloud. Cloud watched as he landed on the marbles, he regained his center of gravity and kept shooting but all of his bullets met with Cloud’s blade. After the shooting stopped, Cloud attached the hollow blade to his main blade, making the First Tsurugi stronger than before. It was clear though, however, that this man was not going to let him near him. Cloud has tried a lot of things but none of it seemed fruitful, but Cloud wasn’t one to give up…
“Marlene, get behind me and hold on…”, Cloud said, looking down to Marlene. “Two can fight a war together, but three can make all the difference, sometimes.” He then turned to his opponent and stood in front of Marlene. “You’re pretty fast, kid. Let’s see you dodge this.”
Cloud then sheathed the First Tsurugi, he was going to fling more magic. If this wasn’t going to work, Cloud would just go for a frontal assault. Cloud would summon the overlord of all summons, Bahamut ZERO. Cloud would wave his hand across the air and as soon as his hand stopped, Cloud and Marlene disappeared from the battlefield. The sun to fade and sky turned blue green; the color of Cloud’s eyes. It was then that a mighty roar erupted in the distance. The dark clouds opened up and Bahamut ZERO came swooping down upon the battlefield. It let out another might concussive roar, erupting the arena and everything around it. Bahamut ZERO then took to the skies above Cloud’s opponent and began to spread its wings and gather energy. Once it had gathered all of the energy it needs, Bahamut ZERO let loose his ultimate move, Tera Flare, a titanic energy attack launched from its mouth onto the opponent below as well as the battlefield, attempting to cause cataclysmic damage to Cloud’s foe and the battlefield. As soon as Bahamut ZERO was done, it flew into the sky and at it flew past the clouds, the skies cleared up and Cloud and Marlene reappeared on the field, with Cloud unsheathing his sword as well as his second serrated blade attachment…
Actions Taken:
1. Cloud uses the flat side of the blade to protect Marlene from the bullets
2. Cloud attaches the hollow blade attachment to the First Tsurugi
3. Cloud summons Bahamut ZERO to attack
Moves Used:
Summon: Bahamut ZERO: Cloud is able to utilize his Summon Materia to summon Bahamut ZERO. Once on the field of battle, Bahamut ZERO will replace Cloud, who disappears due to the way the summon material works. Bahamut ZERO will fly into the air above and look down to the battlefield. Bahamut ZERO will spread its wings and begin to gather energy. Once it has gathered all of the energy it needs, it will use Tera Flare. Tera Flare is a titanic energy attack launched from the mouth of Bahamut ZERO that is extremely hard to evade or block, given the fact the area it covers and the power by which it's released. It is a wide area attack that can destroy any and all of Cloud’s enemies, causing cataclysmic damage to Cloud’s foes and the battlefield. Once Bahamut ZERO has finished its attack, Cloud will come back to the field of battle, with the summon magic having done its work. (Can only be used twice in one thread; 4 post cooldown for each use)
(3 posts left)

Marlene ducked instinctively to hide behind Cloud when she realized their opponent was shooting at her, but she didn't have to worry, as Cloud quickly blocked the shots fired and kept her shielded. She smiled, knowing Cloud would do anything to keep her protected, but she didn't want him to get hurt because of her; that didn't seem right..or fair. She knew he would protect her, and she was proud of his strength and determination. She wouldn't let him down, either.
She watched in awe as the meteors fell, and eagerly waited to see if her marbles had any effect. Attack from below and above, usually resulted well.. at least that's what she had seen before. When the opponent dodged the meteors but slipped on a couple of marbles, Marlene felt there was some victory achieved but certainly not quite the outcome she was sure had been expected. In fact, the spectators seemed to enjoy whatever happened, no matter what. Strange.. But whatever. She looked up at Cloud, beaming proudly.
"Did you see that? A couple of them worked! Guess this really can be 'child's play'. That's what they call it, right?"
The crayons had been a gift from Tifa, to keep her occupied when she was by herself; the marbles were from Vincent, who, while he hadn't complained about coloring, seemed to prefer games to coloring. And the other things she had in her bag? Well, they'd just have to wait and see.
She heard Cloud's words and realized they were serious instructions, to be obeyed immediately. She moved without question, holding on to him, peeking around him as he started the attack. When it was finished, she looked up at Cloud, eyes round.
”Wow...when you decide to play, you really let them have it, huh!"----------- Actions: No actions this turn

OBSERVE THE UNIVERSE FROM A BIGGER PERSPECTIVE. Shiro violently slammed his aura against the door to reach the children- this was in his head; it had to be coming from somewhere. Beyond the barrier had to be a memory of his. It was disheartening to reflect on how empty his shell was; how desperate he was to fill it. To think that there was an answer beyond the door gave the man hope and heartbreak; nothing he’d do would be able to allow him entrance. It was the most heart wrenching thing to him at the time, knowing an answer was so close but yet, not within reach.Fear was sharing similar frustrations, watching his bullets bounce despite his attempts to maneuver his positioning and style to get a shot. It was tiresome, but he needed to lay on the relentless strikes to shift his opponent’s mindset to one that was more worrisome. Clearly Cloud was extremely powerful, but it was determined to be his bane throughout the entirety of the fight. Observing Cloud’s counter attack; another magic trick. As the two disappeared, it was clearly time to set up the next assault. Slipping the crayon down his sleeve into his hand, he set both his pistols to lethal ammunition. Mentally noting the dragon-like creature as it was summoned from the morbid blue green sky, Fear knew it was definitely time to change things up. It was itself against wizard bladesman, a girl with disruptive antics, and now a damn dragon. It was hard to say if it had ever been against as big of a force in his life that it remembered. Placing the crayon quickly between the trigger to Mercy, he threw it far past the edge of the arena and caught it before it had hit the ground; it’s altered gravity bringing it up to the position where it aimed at Cloud’s prior position far from behind. Fear tilted his head beam up to see the giant beam that’d strike him. How could a soldier put everyone in the arena at risk. The crowd gasped in terror at the sight of the beam. Shiro felt Fear’s pull as he was whisked away from the door to the wheel in urgency. The two of them needed to take it on together, but the memoryless soldier couldn’t think 100% clear due to the memory he left behind, the door that he may not find again; the memory that could remain forgotten. “I’m going to take this, but I need you to show them that we’re stronger than they imagined,” Fear commanded with a whisper.Under the helmet, Blackout yelled in rage, focusing on maintaining the connection between the themselves and the separated gun whilst trying to main. He could feel Fear hardening around him, bracing for impact. Fear’s whispers shriveled in great agony as the beam clashed against the shell of his. The two’s strength, combined, let the man continue to stand, posture not affected by the catastrophic damage. They would not fall to the cheap onslaught. Not only would it show their strength, but coming off as non-phased would surprise the opponents despite that not being the case. Fear was pained greatly, but there was a good amount left in him. The arena was quiet in shock, marbles rolling all over the place outside the arena after the impact. As the opponents would appear, they’d see the helmeted soldier staring them down with gun in hand, starting to fire. The gravitation mancer manipulated the gravity of the crayon and gun, firing off the pistol with force of the crayon against the trigger; the gun from afar but aimed directly at Cloud. The gun in hand and the distanced gun fired together simultaneously, creating a synchronized illusion that he was firing with both guns as it’d take the two of them a moment to register he had only one in hand. The one in hand, unlike the one firing in hand, was firing at Marlene. The two should notice the difference in ammunition, hopefully creating an immediate desire to protect the girl from the unknown, opening up Cloud to the relentless assault from the rear. That was Fear’s design. There was no quip to give the duo; speaking only wasted time. Not to forget mentioning the pounding headache made up of Shiro’s desperation and frustration for the fleeting memory he couldn’t witness. The internal storm was brewing. TAGGGED @cloudywolf
| NOTES 1. Fear took the full damage of the laser, but set up his pistol far away to fire at Cloud (using the force of the crayon) as he'd fire at Marlene with the gun in hand, immediately as they'd appear. The weapon and object did this using the ability, manipulation. 2. Assaulted the two with both guns at a strategic angle to hit a distracted Cloud. 3.Charged memory of destruction
manipulation - the soldier can harness and manipulate gravity of objects/creatures/people with the assistance of his gauntlet that was engineered for said purpose. This can be applied in numerous instances in different ways. memory of destruction - a limit break of sorts for the soldier - what starts with a headache and some aching glimpses of past memories; Blackout enters a fit of rage, his natural speed increases and any combative blows bears the impact of a meteor speeding through a planet’s orbit [cannot block while charging] [heavy + damage] [charge = 1 post; usage - once per thread; duration- 2 posts]

Cloud figured that Bahamut ZERO would do the trick. There was only one summon that was stronger than it, and Cloud has yet to find it amongst his things. Cloud didn’t mind it too much, but he would have to make it a point to find it sooner rather than later. He would need all the help that he could get for whatever might be coming. Who knows if Sephiroth had become stronger in his absence, or if Sora and his friends would need help in finally taking down the Heartless and the Nobodies for good. Coming back onto the field with Marlene, Cloud could see that Bahamut ZERO hit his mark. He didn’t have to worry about the safety of the crowd, however, there was always an invisible barrier that kept everyone outside of the arena safe and sound. Cloud never figured out how that worked; he never took out the time to but he knew that he could let himself cut loose and really let his power run on all cylinders. Summoning Bahamut ZERO was yet another way to keep Marlene safe and to deal extraordinary damage to his opponent. He normally wouldn’t summon on his own unless his opponent did first but this time, he had Marlene to look after. He didn’t have the luxury.
When Cloud and Marlene reappeared, his opponent, of course, reappeared right before him and so he stepped in front of Marlene and it was second verse same as the first, his opponent would fire and Cloud would block the bullets with the flat side of the First Tsurugi but just as soon as he did that, he felt himself getting attacked from behind. His gun was being manipulated to fire using his gravity ability. Cloud instinctively used his serrated blade attachment to try to block the bullets but due to the size of the serrated blade attachment, all Cloud could do was do his best to block and of course, some bullets got past and hit Cloud along his arms and side.
“Looks like he learned his lesson…”, Cloud said to himself.
Cloud winced the bullets clashed with his serrated blade and Cloud’s body, but at least Marlene was safe. He would heal later but he had to get rid of this pincer attack, he could hold the fort until then. He has suffered worse at the hands of Sephiroth; he’s been through plenty of bitter battles and this one was no different. Cloud would have to take a moment to take full on damage from behind but he was going to have to fight through it. Cloud stood perpendicular with his opponent with one side shielding Marlene from the opponent’s bullets with his main blade and the other side taking a couple of hits from the gun despite using the serrated blade attachment to block the bullets as best as he could. The one good thing was that the opponent didn’t seem to be aiming for Marlene. Cloud took a slight moment to stop blocking the blasts from the levitated gun and whipped his sword through the air to cast Firaga, hurling three fast and huge fireballs at the weapon. Cloud figured since they hone in, they would protect against the blast. Cloud began to feel the onslaught from behind alleviate as the fireballs came hurtling at the gun in an attempt to destroy it. If the impact didn’t get it, then the explosion will. He then turned to his full attention to his opponent and used his serrated blade attachment to launch his Blade Beam attack, swiping at the air toward his opponent to send a high energy beam toward his opponent, hoping to put an end to his attacks so Cloud can heal himself.
Actions Taken:
1. Cloud uses the flat side of the First Tsurugi to protect Marlene from the bullets and uses the serrated blade attachment to protect his rear but still suffers some damage due to the form of the serrated blade
2. Cloud casts Firaga to get rid of the bullets and the gun behind him, despite a bit more damage
3. Cloud uses Blade Beam on his opponent from behind his First Tsurugi
Moves Used:
Blade Beam: Cloud gets his power to surge through his blade, after that he swings his blade toward his enemy from afar, giving his enemy a wave of energy that can cut through almost anything. (3 post cooldown)
Firaga: Cloud can use his Fire Materia to cast the strongest fire magic attack he has. With this magic attack, he can shoot three fireballs that hone in on his opponent, however, they explode on contact with anything and they do spread out in an effort to cut off the opponent’s escape. (3 post cooldown)
(Can only be used twice in one thread; 3 posts left)
(2 posts left)
This is a spell that cannot be reflected upon Cloud, either, for it is immune to the spell "Reflect" or any other type of ability that might have the same function as the spell "Reflect".
