Frowning in concern, the royal mouse treaded the outer edge of what looked to be a massive missing chunk out of the earthly soil of this world’s surface. His eyes traced the edge of the great almost bowl shaped trench in dismay. It was noteworthy that absolutely nothing around that colossal missing chunk of this world seemed disturbed. The grass was still green, and the sky was still a joyful powdery blue though most of the animals weren’t daring to come near this perplexing death trap of dirt and rock in the middle of what should have just been miles of woods. Not a soul save for the mouse and his cricket companion the very lore keeper of the worlds and of his court. ”Golly…” he huffed softly, mostly to himself but also to Jiminy. ”What could have possibly made this?”
Jiminy had nothing in his logbooks or journals to offer that could have possibly been large or insatiable enough to create what appeared to this monstrous bite out of this world. While yes, distance wise, the imperfect rounded gorge could be seen across, to dare to actually cross would be treacherous. Were Mickey actually interested in getting to the other side of this trench, the wise course would be to trek around…but he had no need of tracing old steps. From all sides he could see this gorge. He’d already called for his champions and his friends. Yes, this was something that certainly raised a great amount of concern and Mickey had his suspicions about what they were dealing with. It had been a while before he’d gathered with his friends of other worlds. He was curious to know if anyone else had seen anything quite like this or had any ideas on what might have caused it. Just looking at the gorge filled the King with this hollow empty feeling…the sort of feeling that Heartless would writhe to gorge themselves on were the wrong being to wander here. Mickey could only imagine what sort of despair could arise from a being that might be unfortunate enough to fall into this pit. ”This certainly doesn’t look good.” he concluded before his ears twitched at the sound of approach. Toon wide eyes were cast over the collar in assumption that someone might be arriving to answer his call.
