Reward Type: New Weapon + Upgrade x2
Cost 350
Location: below Saber
Reward:
Paradox Shard: The Idolater’s Soul awakened this auracite shard, fusing the hornet queen’s gems of Freedom and Obedience together into a luminous length of crystal that brims with conflicting energies. Only those whose Hearts already churn with mercurial contradictions can touch it without a profound sense of discomfort. The Paradox Shard has common properties of potent varieties of Ivalician auracite, such as being capable of absorbing Anima (Plot Only) and becoming completely useless within the boundaries in Jagds. In combat the Paradox shard is a ranged weapon that deals non-elemental magic damage. It has the following qualities.
Loyalty’s Boon (Passive- 50ft Aura): Any tiered bonus the wielder or allies within the radius receive from non-passive abilities is increased by an additional tier (Protect would become Protectra, En-Aero becomes En-Aerora, Regen becomes Regenra, so on). This is any bonus gained while in the aura’s radius, not just those Blaise bestows.
Anarchy’s Solace (Passive- 50ft Aura): When the wielder or allies use dice dependent abilities within the radius (such as those that check for status ailment chance) they may roll twice and take the result they prefer.
Turmoil (Passive): Some of the hornet queen’s scorn remains within the shard, giving a 10% chance (10 on a 1d10) those damaged by Paradox shard are subjected to an echo of her scathing magic, causing Mental Break (incoming magic damage increased by one tier) for three posts. Mental Break stacks with itself and similar effects. Doesn’t benefit from Anarchy’s Solace.
Reward Type: New ability
Cost 150
Location: Below Blow-up
Reward: Battery Charge: A completely unforeseeable accident involving the remnants of Taplock’s Magiteck generator, a thunderstorm, eight dubious guardswomen, a pig, and several casks of Alexandria’s best brandy ended in Blaise becoming a living conductive mana battery. Such are the hazards of true science! Upon rubbing some magnets together or scuffing on the carpet vigorously, Blaise explodes with energizing arcs of electricity. He and nearby allies gain either En-Thunder (minor Electric damage added to weapon attacks/abilities) or Refresh (Spells recover their cooldowns at rate of two per post). The recipient choses which effect they want. Battery Charge's cooldown can never be reduced (Duration 3, Cooldown 3 starts after duration ends)
