The day was slowly winding down. The sun had began to hide behind distand buildings, giving the entire area a red and orange glow from the setting star. Chip and Dale had obviously began to grow tired from all the matches throughout the day, their hops were few and far between now.
"Well we're onto the semifinals!"
"Yep, let's get right into it!
"First up is-"
Posting Order: @locke, Prompto Argentum, Naminé, then @edgar.

tags. @edgar, Prompto Argentum, Naminé. notes. -totally sees Locke throwing away his dagger and being like "nope" if they faced two little bunnies-
So here they were, the semifinals, a... strange ride it was. Locke had no words for it, the previous matches were anything but usual. Perhaps the first was somewhat usual, but considering the amount of words spent there. The treasure hunter felt he had run out of words as he walked onto the stage. Rather than show-off or act tough, the man walked up in a normal steady pace as he checked the ring and everyone. Seeing the sun hiding, the glow on the area was really awesome to see.
His mind went to Marlene as he wondered if she was watching. Locke felt he needed to check on her after this. Maybe she'd like a little adventure if she had planned on entering this tournament. Locke felt it made her more the adventurous type. See how she likes a little treasure hunt with him guiding her. The idea did appeal to the man. Though, he returned then his focus to the opposite end of the ring as he still liked the colors the sun was giving the ring.
"Hey Edgar! I hope you're ready!" he grinned, honestly after two matches and the semi-finals they had to have some good opponents, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiight? Honestly, he was considering quitting if they suddenly faced two children. Or perhaps two little critters like a bunny and a puppy. He was not someone who was willing to harm any of such. They really should advertise things better if this tournament was filled with such things. Also said a damn lot about their two first opponents, the champions that liked to beat up children and little animals.
Considering his thoughts, Locke felt his mood had just turned sour. Shaking his head and patting the sides of his head, he needed to readjust his focus. Nothing bad can happen! He shouldn't question it, he should just... believe that it doesn't become worse. Considering the names he saw on the board, their opponents were called Naminé and Prompto. He pulled out his dagger and readied himself in a stance. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!

It all felt surreal; one moment he and Namine were standing over a bloody Xigbar and the next they were being sweeped away to the infirmary to prepare for their next match. Were there more people like this in the vast world of worlds? People like.. .him? Prompto really couldn't think that much about it because when he heard that his team was moving into the semi finals a whole new sense of excitement and fear settled in his heart. He would have to make sure that NOW of all times that he wasn’t caught off guard; That’s what Ignis and the others would say to him right…? Gladio would be so impressed with him at getting so far and would encourage him to make it to the top... but could he after the last match? After finally being released and given a good luck from the nurse, Prompto made his way out towards the arena where he would meet his opponents. It was not only him in this tournament, but his dear friend Namine and he knew that without her, he totally wouldn't have gotten this far. He had heard some of the audience members comment on the great synergy that the two of them had and he knew that he had to be in it all the way for her too. Smiling at the setting sun with its chocobo like hues in the sky; he came towards the archway that lead to the arena. Prompto put on one of his signature goofy smiles; They had made it this far and this match was going to be amazing...and who knows they could possibly make some friends out of it. Seeing that one of his opponents was already in the field he waved to them. “Hi there! You must be Locke!” he said while looking up at the screen to make sure he got the name right. “Name’s Prompto! Best of luck to both of us today!” He said with a friendly smile on his face. This guy didn't look crazy scary like Xigbar did so that was always a step in the right direction. No heart attacks today thank you very much. “ Let's put our all in this! We are in the semi finals afterall!” he said after seeing a sour expression on his opponents face. Summoning Valiant and Cocytus into his hands, Prompto tapped them against the back of his neck until the blue aura faded. Once it did he made sure his fingers were on the triggers. He wanted to make sure he was prepared for anything. Hey, he could be serious sometimes too...right?

Another round called and placed in review. Namine once again found herself being dragged away by the healers along with the other combatants. Her eyes drifted to where she left Xigbar. After her healing session she ran off to where Xigbar was being kept after asking a nice staff member. Unfortunately, She wasn't allowed in and was made to stay outside. The young girl slumped against the wall next to the room and dropped down to the floor. She pulled her legs up towards her face and wrapped her arms around them to keep them in place burying her head against her knees. This was the second time she ended the second part of a tournament with an extremely injured opponent, and the second time she stayed with that opponent in the infirmary. Soon the Nobody heard a bell sound coming from down the hall. She looked up and saw a resident of the town coming her way. The resident was a cow, female, by the looks of her. She came up to Namine and took a set beside her. She introduced herself as Clarabelle Cow. She was there to give some information to the Nobody. One, was that the original opponent, Tifa, hadn't been located as of yet. That worried Namine extremely. She had almost been certain by this point that Xigbar had been bluffing to get a rise out of her. Her eyes drifted to the closed door, and Clarabelle seemed to have noticed this because she quickly continued. According to her there didn't seem to be any sign of an attack anywhere nearby, and with how crowd the Kingdom was at this time with the events, something like that wouldn't have gone unnoticed. Regardless, Cloud Strife had been informed and left straight away to see if he could find or reach Tifa. He would let them know. This made Namine feel a bit better. Clarabelle also had information on Namine's battle. The reviews were in and Namine and her partner Prompto had made it to the next round. The thought of Prompto hearing the news and being excited made the artist smile. She was happy she could be a decent enough partner to him, and help him get to the semi-finals. Even if it was just a little bit. Finally, due to the reviews, Clarabelle read off what some of the judges had to say about it. This was the first time that Namine had ever heard the reviews before. She tilted her head at Clarabelle in curiosity. Her eyes were big and round as she listened. Turned out that Namine might want to tighten up on her abilities a bit more. It was hard to follow at times because it was a bit sloppy. Technique was also apart of this tournament, and though the girl really didn't have a style of her own, this was all for entertainment of others. They very well can't be entertained if they can't follow it. Namine nodded and thanked Clarabelle as the cow got back up to a standing position. Just then, one of the healers came out. Namine jumped to her feet and asked if she could see Xigbar, and how he was doing. The healer just shook his head, which perplexed the girl. That is when the healer revealed that Xigbar had vanished after he was healed up a bit. Namine ran passed her informant and into the room. Sure enough the bed that should have held the organization's number 2 was empty. He was nowhere insight, and Namine couldn't feel his presences. All that was in the room were some very baffled healers. The Witch of Memory brought her hand up to her chest. She wondered what was going to happen between them from this point on, and why he was there to begin with. That is when Clarabelle's Moos could be heard from outside the room. She called for Namine to let her know that her match was about to begin, and that she should make her way to the arena. Namine nodded and went to walk out of the room, looking back only once at the empty bed. Namine sprinted for the entrance to the arena and slowed as she got to the doors to catch her breath. Her partner had already walked out to the cheers of the crowd. It sounded like everyone was starting to get tried. Even the cheers sounded a bit more weak then when this first started. She really couldn't blame them. The okay to go out was given and Namine walked out into the setting sun. The sun was directly behind her and casted her in silhouette. As she started to get closer to the arena her features could be seen a bit better. Even though Namine had always been decked out in white, the sun's ethereal glow of gold and orange had bathed her in the some new colors. However, there was one thing that the sun's light couldn't override, and that was her piercing blue eyes. She took her place next to Prompto and smiled gentle as he introduced himself. Her hands came before her and in a flash of light a sketchbook appeared along with a colored pencil. She placed the pencil behind her ear as she always does, and the sketchbook lowered with her right hand to her side. She knew that her weapon of choice was odd to most, but even so, the book held many wonders within it pages. The object was merely to help focus Namine's powers, but seemed to have become impregnated with excess power that overflowed from its owner. It didn't act like a normal sketchpad in the slightest, guard from physical attacks, guard from spells, aid in her transformation as weapons, and nearly indestructible. This left Namine to wonder just what she and it were able to do. If she thought about it....no one gave her this item. It appeared when she did. It was something she always had. It was an extension of her in away. As Namine expected Prompto was excited. She nodded at what he said about putting their all in to this. "And I am Namine, Nice to meet you." She smiled as she introduce herself. "Good Luck."

Edgar felt relieved knowing he’d spared a young girl from injury. It was a tough match and had it gone farther, those two would have certainly won with the handicap. The king was fully aware. But, someone felt they were the clear winner and here they were. They were in the semi finals. They had successfully defeated two defending champions their first round and protected a young girl. This had been a rather intensive and powerful tournament so far. He knew that things were only going to get even more exhausting. Yet, here they were. Ready for round three.
”Ha! I’m always ready! Don’t you go slacking on me now, Locke!” He laughed a bit at the thief’s comment. The two did get along well enough. They had been working together for years. His eyes shifted to their competition as they joined them in the arena. His eyes looked over the thin gunner. Well, he was going to be a more distance fighter. That much was clear. The king smiled politely as he bowed his head a bit. ”Of course. We will always bring our best. We ask you do the same! Pleasure to meet you both. Prompto and Namine... my name is Edgar.”
His eyes hit Namine and he paused a moment. She....seemed familiar. There was something about her that seemed to remind him of someone. It was curious and his eyes watched her for a few moments. He heard prompto shift and he moved to pull his lance from its sheath. He did not condone this sort of event. But, they needed to win. They needed the information to get home. ”Ladies first, my dear. Good luck.” He felt better on the defensive. He’d keep his partner safe.

tags. Prompto Argentum, Naminé, @edgar. notes. Sorry, hard to be enthusiastic when life just decides to go to hell. Keeping this a bit short for now.
Looking at the others arriving, the couple introduced themselves quickly after another as Locke nodded to the initial statement. "I am Locke Cole, treasure hunter extraordinaire!" he responded with a grin while looking at his partner as he brought his own introduction to play, "best of luck! Let us make this the best match this tournament has seen!"
Locke flipped his dagger from hand to hand as he took on a ready pose when Edgar seemed to take a defensive position as well. Considering they knew next to nothing of these two, the idea of Edgar allowing the lady to go first sat well with Locke. It would allow them to see what might come their way and immediately also was courteous in its display. Thinking about it, the treasure hunter hoped to see some more traditional combat this time around.
Honestly, thus far most opponents seemed to have some big skillset that are never what they seemed. As if these worlds outside theirs were all filled with Espers. Apart from that, as he looked over the two. The girl had... summoned? a book and pencil. Did this mean she had a similar style to Relm? The man had two guns, the treasure hunter had seen some of these weapons around and wasn't too pleased about facing something that acted so fast, but he could very well put a challenge to his speed. In his ready position, he aimed to try and break through towards one or the other and perhaps perform a trick or a steal. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!

Prompto took a look around seeing that all the participants were there. It seemed much more relaxed then the last fight and definitely way more honorable. You know.. Way less portals to who knows where and a lot less intimidating looking team. The way his enemies interacted with one another, even though it was his first contact with them, Prompto could sense a great synergy between them;Like they were long time friends. Today would be a challenge. Looking over at Namine he saw the sad look in her eyes; was it because of what happened to Xigbar? What was the full story behind them? And had the moderators found the Tifa woman yet? Those were all questions he wished to ask the young blonde but he knew now was not the time, he had to worry about two things; one getting Namine smiling like she meant it and two, to win the tournament! Hearing that his opponents wanted to let Namine go first was something he would expect out of his friend Ignis; Him and his big sense of chivalry. Smiling at his opponents he was thrilled to see that they also wanted this match to be fun. Based on their body language, it looked like they would keep their word about waiting to strike until Namine had gone first. Still… He Knew that Namine was always apprehensive about making the first move which made him come up with an idea to allow her to relax a bit. “Hey mind if i take a picture of you guys? I could really use it for my collection!! I wanna show my friends how far I've gotten!! “ pulling his camera out, Prompto lightly jogged across the field towards Edgar and Locke, his guns tucked into his waistband. Please don't kill me, pllleeaassseee be cool and not hit meeeee. . Coming up to them rather quickly, he didn't give them enough time to process what exactly was going on and the next thing they would know, Prompto was pulling the two close to him to take a selfie with them. “Oh wait! I gotta turn the flash on! It's too dark! “ fiddling around with some settings while humming victory fanfare, Prompto finally readied his camera and smiled widely. “ Cheese!!! “ he yelled out with a big goofy grin on his face as the bright flash went off. Prompto tried to cheer namine up with being goofy Prompto took a selfie with his opponents... Naminé @edgar @locke

Namine was surprised. It wasn't often she was treated like this. Granted Mickey, Axel, and Riku had treated her respectfully while she was in their charge, but this ladies first thing from complete strangers through her for a loop. She kept looking from Locke, to Edgar, and Prompto in turn. They were honestly waiting for her. For some reason this made her nervous, but the crowd was getting even more restless then before. They came to see a match and it was getting late. The Nobody knew she had to make some sort of move, but was unsure on what move to make. This whole situation seemed to have the girl like a deer in the headlights. Why was she freezing up at this all of the sudden? She never had any trouble acting before. The entire air of this battle was much different the previous ones. It was a lot like when she went up against Lighting. That had to be it. For the first time since then, she was up against and fighting alongside those who's hearts sided with the light. Even as the day grew darker, the hearts around her lite up an invisible void only those who could read and see the aura of hearts could see. She was about to make her move when Prompto must have caught on to her uneasiness. Namine's hand that had began to rise in the air fell to her side as he spoke. Her partner spoke with much gusto as he normally did and her attention went towards him. She blinked in confusion and tilted her head as the young man jogged over to their opponents asking them for a picture. If they had looked over at her or addressed her in anyway about her partner's boldness, they would find that she simply shrugged her shoulders at them. She may be a memory witch, but that didn't mean she knew how the minds of some worked. Upon seeing the camera and watching Prompto fiddle with it sparked something in the little Nobody. Her ears trained in on the sounds it made. Her ears were on the clicks and snaps of the camera, but her eyes were on her opponents just in case they weren't so willing to fall in with Prompted. Something about the camera's noises brought an idea to the girl. Namine watched and waited. Prompto said cheese and his fingers when down on the shutter button. As the camera clicked, Namine snapped in its time so the two sounds would intermingle. 4 Dusks appeared behind the trio in front of Namine. However, something happened that she didn't expect. The four Dusks posed for the picture as the flash went off. Then, the one closets to Locke, and the one closets to Edgar spun in circles with their long sharp arms outstretched attempting to slash them. The Other two dusks each took to an opponents legs, weaving themselves through them before emerging in front of their opponents, and attempted to kick them back so that they would be not right up on their summoner's partner. The Four creatures with zipped up mouths looked back at Namine as they stood in pairs on either side of Prompto. She looked at the whole scene with her mouth slightly a gapped. Even if they had completely missed their targets she was stunned that they actually posed for the picture. Something bubbled up with in the girl. It started in the pit of her stomach and rose to her throat. It was hard to keep it in. Too hard. She tried to hide it behind her free hand, but it was to strong. Namine's pale cheeks had a slight pink tint to them now. Her blue eyes were bright and big. Her shoulders began to shake. Finally the young girl completely lost control and she was laughing full force. That was the most ridiculous and funny thing that her Dusks had ever done. Prompto's antics combined with Dusk's out of the blue spontaneous act had Namine erupted in a giggle fit. One that no one had probably ever seen or hear her due. It had completely taken her worries away. Namine wiped the tears of laughter from her eyes and smiled brightly at everyone. She only said one simple thing before it was time to focus and get serious, and she said it to everyone involved. "Thank you." Dusk: Up to 4 Dusks come to my aid per battle. Attack: Hitting enemies by slithering between their legs Defense: taking the hit for Naminé so no bodily damage is inflicted on her. Note: Can't be out with any other summons from her out. HP 1 each Cooldown: One post after all have been defeated. @locke Prompto Argentum @edgar

Edgar visibly chuckled hearing his partner call himself a treasure hunter. It did always amuse the king to hear him say that. But, he didn't usually correct him in front of company like this. It wasn't tasteful. He much preferred to do it in private to get the full reaction. Their friendship truly was ironic. The King had a harsh dislike of thieves and the like. However, Locke was different than the rest. He wasn't your typical every day thief. There was a heart and soul in the man, even if his ways could get a bit dirty at times. It didn't matter though. They'd made it through some of their darkest days together and had saved the world. That was the short story. A rag tag team built from everything from a king to a thief to a half esper. They truly were a thing of legends.
Edgar felt a tinge of curiosity hit him when the male blonde across the way spoke up about getting a picture. What did he mean by that? No one had the time to stand around while one or both of them drew the scene. As Edgar opened his mouth to ask, Prompto pulled out this strange block-like device. What was it? The king's head tilted a bit as he watched Prompto before looking at Locke with an unsure expression. Was this some kind of trick? Maybe it was a device that was going to cause problems similar to Edgar's tools. He wondered how much trust he should be putting into these two strangers.
As Prompto appeared, he wrapped his arms around both Lock and Edgar before pulling them both in close before clicking the device. Edgar blinked a few times having let his lance loose to fall at his side as he watched the man. It was strange as he explained that he needed to turn the flash on. Flash was a blinding agent? Was this a preemptive attack? The King was extremely hesitant at the moment. The last thing they wanted was to lose at this point in time. Yet, the man was getting in the 'picture' as well. He snapped it again and Edgar squinted his eyes at the flash after it went off. "... I'm quite curious to see what that is and how that works after our match, if you wouldn't mind. Because, I'm not sure how something like could paint a portrait...." Edgar said quite matter-of-factly. It was a curious concept. Honestly, something Relm might find fascinating.
Sadly, the intrege was short lived. He felt the attack behind him before a strange being ducked between his legs and attacked him from the front. This caused him to stumble back, forcing him to use his lance as support to avoid hitting the ground. His eyes shot to Locke to be sure he was alright before the girl's laughing caught his attention. So, she could summon strange beings? These weren't the heartless that Kairi had told him about. These were completely different than them. They were white compared to the black creatures that consumed hearts. So, what were these?
The four beings moved to defend Prmopto whom hadn't moved very much. He certainly wasn't prepared for the attack. Or, maybe he was? "Well played, you two.... well played." He smirked faintly as he shifted back a step, knelt, placed his lance to his side. He them shifted to pull out his Auto Crossbow. He could see, with the position that the nobodies were in, that it would be much easier to hit all of them, Prompto, and maybe even Namine. He didn't want to harm them too badly. But, they did need to win this match. He did his best to make sure he was quick enough that he didn't get Locke mixed up in the attack. His next movement was to collect his lance from his side and advance forward. His plan was to dispatch whatever creatures remained and then he'd attack Prompto.
Though, it seemed like Namine may be the more dangerous person here. Why did she seem so familiar?
AutoCrossbow - Fires arrows at all targets for damage. [Cooldown: 2 Posts]
Damage Taken
Edgar was injured by 2 nobodies. One attacked from behind, the other from the front, knocking him back.
Damage Inflicted 1)Used Autocrossbow on all targets in front of him. 2) Advanced forward with his lance toward Prompto and any remaining nobodies.

Locke was surprised when Prompto suddenly asked for a picture, pulling out some sort of box. A device of sorts. The man jogged over to them while his guns were tucked away. Lowering his dagger, the treasure hunter looked curious at the man as he came up to them. Then when he was suddenly pulled together with Prompto and Edgar, the man started fiddling with his machine. Hearing something about a flash, he wasn't entirely sure what to make of this, but still the guy didn't seem hostile, so he put up a grin as the guy was humming a nice tune.
A flash happened and Edgar started raising questions, "likewise," he added as Edgar had asked on seeing how it worked and how something like that could paint a portrait. Locke was not used to this, but honestly if such a device could paint a portrait, he didn't doubt there'd be some interest for how it worked from Relm's perspective. If anything, he had to meet up with Prompto after all this and ask for a tour to his home world. See if he could get his own little box and have some fun with Relm.
While thinking about his own little fantasy, a sudden strike hit him in the back as he felt something at his legs. However, the treasure hunter was definitely not caught unaware as he was a sneak himself as he stretched his arms and pulled his left in. Pushing himself in more of a roll, Locke would hear laughter from the girl, hey, at least people have fun! Rolling forward, the treasure hunter heard Edgar's attack happening.
Seeing the bolts firing, Locke kicked himself forward from his roll and launched himself forward while trying to achieve as much speed as he could muster while keeping watch of the bolts. Noting more an opening towards Naminé, he took it as he rushed to the side before dashing towards her. There he would perform a Mug as he tried to strike at her. He wasn't entirely sure where the monsters had come from, but the girl had a small book while Prompto wielded guns. Basing it on Relm's abilities, his first assumption was that she was capable of creating monsters by drawing them much like how Relm created portraits.
After performing the strike, Locke would continue his dash towards the other end of the arena while starting a turn away as he kicked off his movement into a different direction. He made use of his momentum to try and circle around to the other side of the enemies from where Edgar was located. By using his speed and the positioning of everyone, he tried to make the two opponents think twice on who to target with their attacks. Leave them guessing and take the opportunities he saw. He did try to see how Prompto was affected by Edgar's attack, considering Prompto was practically next to them when the attack happened. Actions [1.] Performed a roll upon getting hit by the Dusk. [2.] Rolled into a dash and tried to strike Naminé with Mug, taking an item based on a roll. [3.] Circling to the other side, placing Naminé between the location of Edgar & Prompto. As the flash went off , Prompto turned his head to the right as the dusk's formed. Seeing their goofy expressions for the photograph made the blonde chuckle. “Now THAT’S what i call a photo bomb!” He had dealt with these creatures many times before, but never once did he see them act in such a way. It overjoyed him , that the dusk's were taking a liking to him and when he also heard the laughter bubble out of Namine’s small body. Goal one was achieved knowing that Namine was now out of her slump and the only thing that remained now was to win this match.
Seeing the creatures slither their bodies around his enemies like fluid before returning to his side, Prompto’s eyes widened seeing a crossbow be loaded in front of him. He should have expected this when he went in for the snapshot; they were in the middle of a match after all, and it any of his friends were here and saw him now..they would have called him an idiot. As the bolt headed his way rather quickly, Prompto picked up his guns from his waistband and tried to roll to the right, but not without having a bolt slice into his arm. Wincing as he felt it skim across his skin, Prompto was grateful that it didn't pierce into his flesh but merely grazed it. “Thank the six for video games making my reaction time faster!” Seeing that Edgar was coming straight towards him with a lance, Prompto gulped and stood holding his guns out directly in front of him. There was no way he would be able to get close to his partner right now, not in these circumstances. With a few feet now in between him and his enemy, he got a chance to look towards Namine and Locke. Seeing that the thief was heading straight towards her, Prompto hoped she had a plan to protect herself since there was no way in this very moment he could help her.
Smirking, Prompto took this chance to counter attack Edgar’s strike. With valiant, he quickly shot towards the man, hoping it would stun him. The blonde knew that this would most likely not be enough to stop his enemy from advancing on him. Lifting Coctus up a little more with his slightly injured arm he shot a piercing bullet out to make some type of dent in this man’s armor. There wasn't much else he was able to do in this moment until the bullets hit their mark and considering he was still rather close to Edgar, he hoped they would hit their specified target.
“Namine I cant get there right now! Ill be there in a jiffy though! Just hold on!” He yelled out to her to reassure Namine that she was not going to be facing her enemy alone. But how was he going to get over to her..?
Prompto rolled to the right and got hit in the arm taking damage.
Prompto used Scintillia to counter attack.
Prompto used Piercer to break into Edgar’s armor.
SCINTILLA - counterattack and chance to stun enemy with firearm.

Namine's Nobodies had fell victim to the arrows one by one. It would have seemed that they still served their secondary purpose as guards before their fall. With their line up, they took the brunt of the attacks and slowed the arrows down enough, leaving Prompto with a graze. With her distance and the wall of Dusks and Prompto, the young girl was spared from the flurry of arrows. Namine closed her eyes for a moment. "Thank you my friends. May you be one with your hearts soon." She said to the memory of the fallen. The girl's eyes found the one that was called Edgar. She analyzed him. The way he just attacked, and the way he moved. She studied him before the fast approaching footsteps of Locke made her tear her eyes from him. The link wasn't found yet since she had other things to worry about, but there was something there. She just needed the right key to unlock it. It was possible he felt it too. Namine had gotten that feeling with how he looked at her. He too was trying to figure her out. As the other young man came closer Namine remained in her spot and relaxed stance. Once he was upon her, about two arm lengths away, she raised her arm with her palm out as if she thought she could simply halt him with her hand. As she no sooner did that, her dark ability kicked in. A Corridor of Darkness materialized itself in front of the young man in an attempt to calm his form. Namine, then sought out Edgar, not wanting to leave Locke in the corridors for long (if he surcame to it) and not wanting to give him time to react. Her hand once again rose and pointed in the direction of Edgar. This time, however, her palm wasn't in a halting position. The Nobody snapped her fingers and a second Corridor appeared on the field in front of the man that Prompto was facing off against just as he was attacking with his lance. With any luck, it would send the running Locke and his Mugging ability, and Edgar with his lance attack directly into each other in a collision. Locke was fast since he was once again sprinting around. Namine had gauged both their opponents by just their first moves. It wasn't 100% accurate, she knew that, but it was enough to come up with a some kind of plan. So she risked getting struck again, but hoped that Prompto was able to keep that from happening. Her eyes found her partner for her ability that was helpful in times like this, Telepathy. Telepathy:Without make a sound from her mouth Naminé can speak directly to people through her mind to theirs. Comes in handy when she doesn't want certain parties to over hear what she is saying. Often used to each people in difficult places like the depths of darkness or light within their hearts and minds. Outside of battle it can be used freely to as many people as she sees fit within the same world. She can reach those she has or makes a personal connection to from anywhere as long as the meet from this point on. During battle it takes a little more concentration. During battle she has to be looking directly at the people she wishes to contact this could leave her vulnerable to attacks. She can only contact 2 people at a time. (Passive) *Certain messages will be revealed throughout the battle hereCorridors of Darkness:Naminé can summon a Corridor to Darkness with one hand, which leads her into the darkness of the heart of a world, allowing her to travel to the darkness in the hearts of other worlds connected to it. She can use this freely to open one Corridor of Darkness at a time outside battle, but if she is drawn into combat, it takes more concentration and power to use it to move about or escape. Can open 2 at a time in one post Battle Duration: 2 post (unless closed ahead of time) Battle Cooldown during battle: 2 posts. Locke was off without a second thought. The movement showed that he was staying the distance to give Edgar the room to work with. It was probably the best bet to be completely honest. Things went smoothly when he had the space to work with. Well, most of the time. He knew that the thief would go and handle the situation in the best means possible. Hopefully he could handle the blonde that he couldn't place. The girl was so familiar. But, he didn't know where he knew her from. Was there a picture of her somewhere? Was it because of how much she resembled Lunafreya? It certainly wasn't anyone that Kairi had described to him unless the young woman was secretly a man. It wouldn't be the first time he'd been tricked in that manner.
Prompto had spoken up about a 'photo bomb' before all the chaos had erupted. Then there was the comment about 'video games'. What was a video? The terminology that this man was using was a little abnormal. "I think it's becoming quite apparent that I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." The King commented, quite amused as he continued his advance. This wasn't going to end easily for the two enemies on the field. These two had to be quite formidable to be this far into the tournament. He was looking forward to seeing their true strengths. This was getting rather exciting.
It was tempting to apologize for grazing him with the arrow. However, they were fighting at the moment. He couldn't show that sort of weakness. It was bad enough that he felt outmatched in the manner of magic and technology. Even his tools seemed like they were from the Dark Ages or something. Especially when Prompto pulled two guns from his waist band. Edgar deduced that they had to be weapons, but he had no idea what to expect from such a thing. He simply decided to use Prompto's momentarily glance to push his lance forward. But, the attempt came at a price.
The sound of the gun and the sharp pain that followed was enough to have Edgar recoil a bit and take a step back in retreat. Luckily for him the bullet had come and forced him back as the corridor opened before him. What was that? His eyes glanced briefly in the direction of the female on the field. What sort of magic was this?
His mind came back to the present with the pain. That pain was not something he was used to. It was quite fine and direct. What was that? The face that the King made showed that he had no idea what Prompto was using. Though, now he knew that this boy was a ranged fighter. He would need to keep close to make sure that he did not get the upper hand. The King quickly reached to pull free his Debilitator tool as Prompto shot off his next piercing bullet. Thankfully he'd moved his body when he had to pull the weapon and shift to position himself out of the way of the portal. He was lucky though. An attack like that could have proved fatal. It certainly knocked more than the wind out of him as he felt the full force of the attack to his arm and shoulder, causing him to drop the weapon he had pulled out. The frustration of losing his weapon was greater than the pain. Honestly, the attack had pierced his protective armor and it surprised him greatly. This was going to be a serious fight. "That's different... Let's try this again. I'm afraid I can't let you go to her aid. Locke won't do any real damage. We're not here for that. But, since you're such a fan of flashes, I thought I'd share one of my tools." He expressed as he moved his lance to his injured hand to pull his Flash tool.
"Quite a fascinating little thing. Right? I think you'll enjoy it... Say cheese..." He commented before he set off the bright light directly at prompto. This would give him the moment to replace his lance on his back, locate his Chain Saw, and make his attack. Or, he hoped he could. He hadn't wasted the time to see if it was effective. He just needed to get things situated before rushing Prompto like he had. He simply prayed that Locke could keep Namine at bay. She seemed like the greater threat here. Especially with that portal he'd pulled of nowhere. Then again, he felt that had she not summoned
