Hunters! On your Mark! Ferocious beasts swarm about the castle town! The bigger the catch the higher the score!
Typically the Festival of the Hunt is held annually in the city of Lindblum on Gaia. Warriors all around Gaia are called to test themselves against the planet's most ferocious creatures. These 'animals' are released on to the Linblum streets for the warriors to track and hunt. Each creature is worth an amount of points and the warrior that manages to rack up the highest amount of points within the pre-established amount of time wins the festival's prestigious spoils!
"Yes. Typically that's precisely how the hunt is done...but the beasts are more precocious this year than I've ever seen them...and I've always loved when something unexpected happens...Kekekekeke."
-Harmless old Lindblum resident
The more ferocious the beast the more influenced by the darkness they seem to be. Somewhere along the way they learned or...perhaps were shown how to breach a certain corridor between realms. Now this year's incredibly large batch of festival beasts is breaching the worlds! This means then that the festival is open to the warriors of all worlds. Come to Lindblum to sign up for the round up and start racking up those points and watch out for those tougher beasts!

Festival Rules and How this Works:
--Go HERE to sign your character up for the festival. You may only participate with ONE character. Choose wisely.
--You will be fighting monsters and finding them around the site to rack up as many points as you can for your character.
Ways to get points:
-->Participate and post as many raids as possible as many times as you can. (You're aloud one post per day per raid within the allowed window of time. Pay attention to special rules or mechanics placed by the mission mod running the raid.)
-->Find some of the hidden monsters around the site and report your findings to the 'Harmless Old Man' (event coordinator) Account
-->Locate more elusive high-value monsters and take them out as quickly as possible
-->Specify in your first post in any of the threads you start in the month of October that you are open to random encounters. ONLY DO THIS IF YOUR COLLABORATIVE WRITING PARTNERS ARE OKAY WITH IT.
--How you do in the festival will be largely based on the time you put into your participation. More posts in a festival raid means you'll get more point payout. More time searching for monsters means more points for you. Please note that these Raids are not under the same posting rules or expectation as the site's usual 'RAID.'
--Good Luck and Have fun!
