Strange new worlds
and the war within them.
The odds were certainly against them in sheer numbers but it seemed the matter of strength heavily weighed on their side. The cat-woman had taken her leave from the battle on the ground to fight with the leader upon the airship, putting an offensive front of both battlefields. If she hadn’t done it herself, Beatrix may have been the one to find a way skyward to confront the captain. Last thing they needed was someone raining constant forces and ranged attacks at them while they attempted combat with these other beings.
It seemed the combination of Amarant and Beatrix’s attacks was too much for one guard, causing him to splinter into… oddly shaped pieces and fading into dust. She’d seen enemies fade away before but never in such a distinct fashion. Were he the last enemy they would face, she may have taken a moment to question it but with yet more forces surrounding them, she couldn’t spare a moment to idle thought. As she came back to her feet fully, the swarming creatures zig-zagged down at her and smashed into each of her shoulders, bruising her bare skin and knocking her back a step. She grunted and growled behind tightened lips, her eye snapping away from the swirling pests to the armed guard rushing her once more. Her sword flipped around to block his strike, both hands tight upon the pommel to keep her sword from being jerked from her or knocked away.
She pushed back against the staff, hoping to knock it fully away from her and giving her an ample opening. Save the Queen came around in a semi-circle, a bright flash emanating from its tip half-way through its turn. She swung it vertically at the guard, her sound of the metal cutting through the air muted against the abrupt and deafening crash of rolling thunder. Electricity had surged through her weapon as it came through its motion, aiming to dart into the enemy’s torso and travel all along his limbs. Yet even as her sword came down to her side, she was darting forward and past the guard, seemingly putting his existence on the back burner temporarily.
The other man with the lines had summoned these two and had even elected to stay back from the fight. Amarant had brought the battle to him but she wanted to ensure that he was laid out, removing him and his ability to summon minions from the board. The blade of her weapon was shining as bright as the sun in the sky when she slammed her feet down, landing her directly beside Sark. Her weapon whisked forward in a circular arc, a haphazard slash that was meant to be difficult to block. All of the magical power built up inside would find its way into Sark’s body if it made solid contact, attempting to rend his fighting spirit from him as well as forcing his body to fall temporarily useless against his wishes.
Actions:
1. Block Stave Attack
2. Thunder Slash at Guard
3. Shock at Sark
