( opponent and I have established that there will be no dice roll for hits and misses for Namine. It is an agreement that it will be freestyle battle)
Namine enter the arena for the third time. Applause and cheers met her entrance, but the little nobody seem to have drowned most of the noise out. Her physical body may have been there but her mind was still back in the healers Hut with Kuja and his situation. A sad expression painted her features even though she attempted to keep a brave face. In her mind, she wasn't the one who should be out there. It wasn't her that took down her last opponent, it was just a cruel twist of fate.
The memory witch stepped on to the stage only to realize that for once her opponent wasn't meeting her just yet. For the first time since she began this, she was the first one to come out. Her sad blue eyes look straight ahead in the direction that her opponent should be coming from wondering if her luck so far in this tournament was about to run out.
Namine stood at her end of the stage not having any particular Battle Stance as she summoned a white SketchBook, cheers erupted from the stands as the Restless audience was getting even more excited for the semifinals. They fell on deaf ears when it came to the Nobody. Part of her wondered if the audience cared remotely to what happened to her last opponent. Her eyes left the direction of where her opponent was to come from momentarily as they searched the faces of the crowd around her. She wasn't reading their hearts, but she was looking to see if her newest friend/ ex- opponent waa is going to be in the crowd cheering her on despite everything.
The artist was unable to find him. Namine really didn't think he would be up and moving that quickly anyhow. She is literally just left his side when she had come out here and he was still in pretty bad shape. Her eyes once again looked upon the side that her opponent would soon be standing, and the poor girl looked like a kicked puppy.

Rolling for The Many Faces of Gilgamesh
JHK|SXyU1-8
Current form: Commando Mode!
---------------------------------------
Finally, Gilgamesh had reached the semi-finals. His last battle ended in a blistering verbal smackdown of Rojo, the Red Wizard of Light. He should've known better than to tangle with the master boaster himself! Now, he was up against someone named Namine. When Gilgamesh looked out into the arena from the tunnel to see his opponent, he was shocked to find himself up against what looked like a small teenaged girl! At first, Gilgamesh thought that this was surely a mistake, some sort of mix-up somewhere. When he was told that, yes, this was his opponent, Gilgamesh then figured that this girl was more than meets the eye. It would seem that it was his lot in life to fight tricksters in this tournament. As Gilgamesh shifted forms once again, he marched out of the tunnel and towards his opponent. This time, he was taller in his form and his normal red and armored ensemble seem to have glowing lines all over it. Even more, Gilgamesh's multiple arms seemed to be wielding four machine guns and... were those two arms holding ROCKET LAUNCHERS?! It was clear that Gilgamesh was bringing more force to bear than previously indicated.
As Gilgamesh moved towards the arena, he did some sort of kabuki dance thing. To those not familiar with it, it looked kinda silly, but it was Gilgamesh so, by now, it was par for the course. "Mwahahaahahaahaha! I've been stuck in the waiting area for so very long! I was beginning to worry that no one would post their reviews for my last fight AND I'D BE STUCK IN DIGITAL LIMBO! Luckily, I am here for the semi-finals! Beware, mortal, you fight the very essence of warrior! You fight me, GILGAMESH! Prepare yourself for a fight that you will surely lose but that will be unforgettable!' He finally was in the arena and did his pose when he shouted out his name. Then he showed off his weapons. "Like these weapons I picked up from the Rift? They allow me to predict the weather: BULLET SHOWERS AND ROCKET STORMS!" After all this, Gilgamesh looked down at his opponent. Oh dear, she looked like a sad, sad puppy. Gilgamesh was feeling rather conflicted at the moment. Were they sure this wasn't a mistake?
Then Gilgamesh hit on a brainwave. Perhaps, like his opponents before him, she was trying to lure Gilgamesh into a false sense of security before springing a devious trap on him! Yes, that HAD to be it. If she was capable of getting this far, she had to have some measure of power. Gilgamesh decided to stay back and aimed two of his machine guns at Namine, firing a burst of bullets at her. Then he did a dodge roll around the edge of the arena, showing off that he was remarkably nimble for someone of his size, and then shot another burst of machine gun fire from the other arms holding machine guns. It may not hurt her, but it would hopefully break her out of whatever sad reverie she was in.
--------------------------
1) Changed into Commando Mode
2) Fired a burst of machine gun fire at Namine
3) Dodge rolled and fired another burst of machine gun fire
The Many Faces of Gilgamesh: Due to Gilgamesh's visits to many worlds, he's undergone many different appearances. With some practice, he has managed to access these different forms, though his control of them is... well, it doesn't really exist. An eight-sided dice is rolled to determine which form he takes when combat starts. [Forms are numbered 1-7; Form is unchanged at 8] Gilgamesh's default mode is Rift Wanderer Mode. However, should Gilgamesh arrive on a world where he had a different mode [Orience, for example], he will adopt the appropriate mode as default. If the number rolled corresponds to a form already in use, the form is unchanged.
[1] Rift Wanderer: (FFV/Dissidia) Represents Gilgamesh's time as Exdeath's lackey and his later intrusion into the Dissidia Realm.
[2] Guardian Force Mode: (FFVIII/FFVI/FFI/FFIV:The After Years) Represents Gilgamesh's more nondescript travels, where he acted as a force of powerful good and an obstacle for heroes who wish to explore everything.
[3] Elite Mark Mode: (FFXII) Represents Gilgamesh's time as the greatest swordsman in all of Ivalice and also Ivalice's greatest troublemaker.
[4] Commando Mode: (FFXIII-2) Represents Gilgamesh's time as a gladiator in a Coliseum out of Time.
[5] Eorzean Warrior Mode: (FFXIV) Represents Gilgamesh's time as a suspected thief in Eorzea. Has shown a love painting roosters green out of loneliness.
[6] Blademaster Mode: (FFXV) Represents the time Gilgamesh spent in Eos, testing potential Shields of the King to see who was worthy of receiving his power.
[7] Lorican King Mode: (FF Type-0) Represents the mysterious origins of Gilgamesh and his time as King of Lorica on the world of Orience.
Not only does Gilgamesh's arsenal change with each mode, but also his abilities. Abilities will be listed under their respective form and CAN ONLY BE USED IN THAT FORM. However, some moves are used in more than one form (Excalipur and Bitter End, for example). Any differences will be noted. [Cooldown: 5 posts]
Bullet Showers and Rocket Storms: Gilgamesh starts the battle with four machine guns and two rocket launchers. Despite the firepower, Gilgamesh isn't very good with guns and finds them boring. In fact, he gets so frustrated with them that he eventually will change to close combat if "I Don't Even Feel Like I'm Fighting!" isn't used earlier. Machine guns deal weak damage [Duration: 2 posts] [Cooldown: Once per thread. Gilgamesh never wants to change back.] 1-8

Namine's eyes have inadvertently search the crowd upon Gilgamesh is entrance missing whatever crazy dance he did. His loud voice Drew her eyes back towards him. There she saw a massive man with many arms and what appear to be all sorts of guns in each hand. Even faced with such terrifying odds the young nobody expression stayed sad and neutral.
" you're probably right." Namine stated regarding what he said about her losing this battle. The words Unforgettable and her name in the same sentence wasn't something you heard very often when it came to the memory witch. Her eyes didn't meet his and she look down at the arena floor sadly. She knew deep down that both of her opponents for her could have easily wiped the floor with her. It probably would have only taken just one more attack from each of them. Luck saved her from the first one, and A Series of Unfortunate Events saved her from the last fight. With nothing really coming from her own power in her mind it was more than just a little bit discouraging. To her, it proved nothing that she could survive on her own or was actually strong enough to protect herself or those around her. She was nothing more than an empty you happen to be at the right place at the right time.
Namine sighed and gave a little curtsy to her opponent along with the forced smile. " I am Namine. Just a local nobody." She played on her species name as many have done over and over again. However, unless you knew what a nobody was it would just simply seem like they are insulting themselves. In this case, she was. "Let's get this over with. Perhaps you can knock me down to where I belong. Good luck, Sir Gilgamesh." The last part she said sweetly and earnestly as she wish the man luck.
A flurry of bullets was shot from the machine guns. The moment that Namine saw the guns lineup to her position she simply stood there, place the coils of her Sketchbook around her pointer finger, and spend the book as fast as she could as the bullets were deflected away from her from the force of the spin and the indestructibleness of her weapon itself.
The nobody did not move from her spot when her opponent seem to think that she was on the verge of an attack and started to dodge roll out of the way. She tilted her head at him since her body language didn't show any kind of aggressiveness that would hint at an attack. When he got back up from his roll Namine once against all the guns line up to where she was standing. With that she wants again started to spend her Sketchbook to deflect the flurry of bullets that were about to come towards her. This was something that she had learned from in her last fight. If she watched the opponent's weapon then she could get a general guess of when they were going to attack. Being up against guns seem to make this Theory even more relevant. Unlike swords or magic in order to successfully fire off of gun you would have to line it up with your opponents this giving them a window of opportunity to dodge or come up with a way to deflect. Her first opponent also had a gun but it was connected to a sword. The two connected was much more harder to dodge especially when you didn't know exactly what was going to happen. The sword it would involve the opponent to get close enough to their target but then it was only a subtle moved to fire a bullet instead. That was much harder to detect when someone was right up on you. One thing that Namine could take from these battles even if she did feel like it was luck was that she wasn't deed learning a lot about how different weapons and Magic worked.
Even though Namine was spinning her Sketchbook as fast as she could to deflect the new round bullets, it would appear that it was not need it. The bullets that hit the Arena floor just short of her. She looked down at where their initial impact was and then looks back up at the man. Her expression was more neutral than sad, however her eyes held the emotion that her expression was now lacking. The emotion that she would tell you but wasn't there. She tilted her head once again towards the man. "Ummmm....you kind of missed, sir." She said innocently as though he couldn't have seen that for himself. "You're not very good with those weapons, are you?" Namine said. "You are a Swordsman. So why not use swords instead?" Namine's voice had an air of Mystic about it when she called him out on his true abilities. It was something that she shouldn't even have known about, and yet she did. Thanks to her opponents interaction with not just one person whose memories she is connected with, but three it allowed her to be able to easily see inside his memories and read his heart with no trouble at all. His meeting with Riku and the King Mickey, along with his association with her first opponent lightning has allowed Namine some insight on her opponent.
Even with this help, Namine still worried about attacking. Even though she could see that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her opponent in front of her, she still couldn't bring herself to do it. The last battle had been slightly traumatized for the little memory witch and she was scared. Despite this being the fight she never wanted to see someone hurt like that again whether it was from her power or otherwise. These thoughts of hers made her bring her hand up towards her chest and clench the fabric that was there as her face screwed up in sorrow. "Maybe I should just let him knock me out right off the bat...." she looks at the bullets that were littered onto the ground from his last attacks.

Gilgamesh looked at Namine as a silence fell over the arena. He wasn't taken aback that he was a poor shot now that the bullets were deflected by a sketchbook. He wasn't even taken aback that Namine knew Gilgamesh was a swordsman or when she made probably the insightful suggestion to use swords. After all, he was GILGAMESH! Of course, she knew, everyone should know of him, the mightiest swordsman in all the world. What made Gilgamesh stop fighting was looking at Namine. Her sadness, her dejection... her refusal to even put up the most token of resistances. She even called herself a nobody and that Gilgamesh should knock her down where she belonged. That disturbed Gilgamesh to the core. Did she lose someone close to her? Perhaps it had something to do with her last match. Gilgamesh admitted that he didn't exactly keep up to date on the other fights, but he knew that the healers seemed to be in a tizzy after the Quarter-Finals had concluded. Whatever happened in that fight, it shook Namine to her core. Gilgamesh didn't understand why she was out here. There was no shame in quitting if it affected her that badly. It reminded him of when he learned that his greatest rival, Galuf, died. That nearly made him give up on everything.
Gilgamesh shook a bit as he stood. Then he had decided what to do. There was still a chance that this was a trap and he was walking right into it. But... for some reason, he didn't think this girl had it in her right now. Even if it was, Gilgamesh was an honorable fighter and there was no way in Hell he was going to fight someone who wouldn't even fight back. He was the mightiest swordsman in all the worlds, not some BULLY! If they were to have this match, they BOTH needed to fight or how could anyone call it a fair fight between two honorable opponents? All of a sudden, the crowd heard a thud as they saw Gilgamesh drop one of his guns. Then another and another AND another until Gilgamesh had dropped his weaponry on the ground. This shocked the audience. They had expected Gilgamesh to be this ruthless warrior, not someone capable of compassion. Gilgamesh walked towards Namine and knelt down on both knees before. Then he very gently raised her chin so he could see her eyes. "Something troubles you. No need to hide it, I can read ya like a book! Why don't you tell ol' Gil what's botherin' ya?"

The audience wasn't the only ones that were shocked, Namine was to. At first when her opponent dropped his gun she thought it would be for some sort of attack and had winced in the process. As he Advanced towards her she thought for sure it was going to be for some sort of blow. She had closed her eyes tightly and braced herself for a hit that never came. The memory witch opened her one eye and then slowly open the other as her crunched up shoulders relaxed list. She found the giant many armed man kneeling down before her. She looked up at him puzzled at first. Her eyes were wide and her mouth was a gaped. It took a moment for her brain to process his words. Was he actually trying to help her, just like Mr. Kuja did? She looked up into his eyes and they seem to speak volumes. He wasn't there to hurt her. Even though he was her opponent and was meant to fight her, he was willing to listen at least at first. Namine felt something snap inside of her as she looked up into this gentle giant eyes. Her own eyes stung with tears as she tried to hold them back. She knew she had to get this off of her chest one way or another. And though some people were, Namine was not the type of person who got her frustrations or sadness out through aggression. Maybe it had something to do with her creativity. Whatever the case may have been she felt if she would just start talking she would feel a whole lot better and possibly be able to avoid crying.
" I just don't want to see anyone hurt like that again." Namine started to speak as her bottom lip trembled slightly. " I want to help people to make up for past actions. So I came here hoping that it would show me what I needed to do to do that. To show me what I need to work on, but the only reason I even got this far was pure and utter luck. Can't help people with luck alone. It is Mr. Kuja or Miss. Lightning that you should be facing right now. Not me."
Namine rambled anything that came to her mind that was bothering her. "None of my opponents fell because of my own power. The first one might have been a decent fight but..... but I only won on the technicality, we were even at most. It is clear that she dominated the bottle itself though. And my last one.... though I am grateful that my magic isn't what caused it...... falling due to health issues isn't exactly how one would want to win or lose." Her throat started to burn along with her eyes. Small hiccups as she started to slightly hyperventilate escaped from her throat.
" I want to protect people's hearts, their dreams, and memories regardless to what they align themselves with as far as the dark and light are concerned. I...I...I have to find a way to help him, but... but I'm not so sure I'm strong enough to even go on that Journey. Nothing so far in this tournament has shown me proof otherwise."
" what if I fail?"
" what if I do more harm then I do good?"
" what if I hurt someone or just getting people's way?" tears started to escape the nobody's eyes.
"Sir Gilgames, I think...I think I am scared." Namine said being unsure of her own feelings, or rather Shadows of others feelings as she saw it. This type of scared wasn't like just watching horror movie, or having a prank played on you, or worrying about monsters in the closet or under the bed in the Darkness. It was a different kind of scared one that she wasn't familiar with. A fear of failing, not being good enough, and being in the way. The kind of scared that made you sick to your stomach. By this point in time Namine had erupted into full-blown tears and sobs.
Namine could only imagine how annoyed the audience must have been with her. Even though she cried she attempted to wipe away your tears with the back of her hands. "I am sorry, Sir Gilgamesh." She choked out as she tried to calm herself down. " you came here for a fight. Not for some blubbering teenage girl she was still getting used to the shadows of emotions." She let out a sad and slightly nervous giggle. " they all came here for a fight. Forgive me." She said referring to the audience and attempted to straighten herself up.

Gilgamesh, to his credit, listened carefully and silently to Namine's words, without butting in with his usual bombasticness. Namine's words tugged at his heartstrings but he kept his stoic facade, even when Namine couldn't. As she finished, he stroked his chin and then nodded. "Hmm... well... I think that you not deserving to be here... IS A LOAD OF CHOCOBO DUNG!" He then sprang to his feet, his stoic demeanor shattering like so much broken glass. "Sure, luck MAY or may not have had something to do with it, but every battle is like that! No matter how much skill or craftiness you have, Fate can always change on the battlefield! The key is having the confidence and DETERMINATION to see the battle through to the end! They may have had more experience or more power but that doesn't matter! They are not here to fight me, you are! The Judges clearly see something in you, even if you don't see it for yourself! You must be someone of great power to have won the crowd's and Judges' hearts! So, never, EVER doubt yourself. This Lightning... This Kuja... they would be saddened to see you put yourself down like this!" Gilgamesh then crossed his arms. Somehow, he wasn't done yet. "You wish to protect and help others? Then do so! Regular people without even a hint of power help and protect their loved ones all the time! One does not need power! All one needs is compassion, confidence and to tell those who would do their friends harm to BACK OFF! My advice to you, Namine, is no matter what you do, fight for what you believe in the most and never give in! Lightning and Kuja would be dejected if they found you just surrendered without a fight to me! You can't change what happened in the past, but you can always look to the future! You may even beat me and you can run back and tell Kuja how you beat the mightiest swordsman in all the worlds! Heck, even if you lose, you can always say, 'Aaaah, I would've won if it weren't for that wily, yet devilishly handsome Gilgamesh!' The point is... failure is a part of life! We all fall on our paths through life, some more than others! What matters is that we pick ourselves up and keep going! Let nothing stop you, Namine! You are better than you know and STRONGER THAN YOU THINK!"Gilgamesh then smirked at Namine. His guns disappeared into the aether behind him, which meant that he would switch to swords. However... "You have nothing to apologize for. All of us need a good cry now and again. However, I agree that the crowd came for a fight. Yet, I will not force it upon you. Namine... I, GILGAMESH, am ready to duel with you, if you are ready! But be warned, I will not go easy on you because of your innocent appearance, nor do I expect any mercy for you! Now then... SHOW ME THE POWER THAT CARRIED YOU HERE! NAMINE, DO YOU ACCEPT MY CHALLENGE?!"------------------------ ( Rousing music for a rousing speech) 1) GILGAMESH LIFTS NAMINE'S SPIRITS WITH HIS ROUSING WORDS AND STRONG BICEPS! The memory witch looked up at Gilgamesh through her eyelashes as she waited for him as he contemplated what she had said and what he was going to say. When he started to speak Namine listened intently. When he got loud and more passionate with his speech the young girl nearly jumped 50 feet in the air. It had surprised her though she didn't quite know why since he was very loud to begin with. Maybe it was just the sudden change in volume that got to her. Her eyes grew wide and her mouth was a bit the gapped. She blinks rapidly a few times before tilting her head and scratching up her eyebrows in a confused expression. " what is Chocobo?" She thought to herself momentarily. " nevermind, if it's important I'll find out one way or another." She conclude it to herself. That is when it caught her attention wholeheartedly. Most would say that it wasn't possible for Namine eyes to get any wider, but that wasn't at all the case. They did get very very wide. The tears that were left over we're still gleaming on the edges of her lashes. Her breath caught in her throat and the thumping inside of her nearly stopped. That was very similar to what she had told Kuja himself when he had mentioned about her being like another and helping people that didn't deserve it.
The memory which brought her hands up towards her chest and squeezed it into a small fist against the fabric of her dress. She was so busy throwing herself and pity party that she never really thought of the effects that she had had on others. She always spoke what you felt was the truth and what she believed in when it came to other people's problems or desires for knowledge, but she was now just finding out how little she actually practice what she preached. If Gilgamesh words for a fist she would be hitting the ground hard right now and be winded. Nothing he said was harsh towards her, all of it was uplifting, but it was one of those Head Rush kind of things. Kind of like when you stand up too fast and for a moment you feel kind of dizzy, like you're just about to fall back over, and then you get your whereabouts and realize that your feet are firmly on the ground.
Most of what Gilgamesh said, Namine hadn't thought of that before. It never occurred to her that by accepting defeat not even trying, those who were said to have been defeated by her may be Dishonored. If she was going to give up she should have done so in the first round or not sign up at all. She said she wanted to protect the hearts, hopes, memories, and dreams of others. And in a way She now carries those things from the people that she had gone through to get here to this point. Giving up would not only throw away her efforts, but there's as well. It would be selfish to do that. The other Fighters deserved to know that their defeats no matter how they came about we're just to some pathetic little girl that one by chance. Their defeats actually meant something to both of them and her. Namine found herself giggling as the giant many armed man posted a little bit about himself. She couldn't help it. The last of her tears ran down her cheek as her once a gaped mouth from the shock of all of this curled up into a smile. Her eyes closed in both relief and happiness as she felt a warm inside of her. The sides of her mouth stretched even further as her eyes opened once again this time bigger, brighter, and filled with confidence and hope. She nodded at Gilgamesh and wiped the lingering stain from her tears off her cheeks. Namine had a sudden jolt of a Feeling that she was being watched. She looked up into the crowd and all eyes were on the battlefield. However, it wasn't those eyes that she could feel. These ones are staring right through her. They came from a place that she could not see but she could feel their presents. This lilac stare send a shiver down her spine. It wasn't unpleasant in fact just as Gilgamesh his words it added a sense of comfort. She couldn't let down those who have helped her. Lightning struck down her fears, Kuja defeated her Darkness, and Gilgamesh Concord her doubts. Another voice reached Namine his mind. It wasn't talking directly to her it was simply a shadow of a memory. It didn't belong to the stare of the person who was watching her. Nor did it seem to belong to anyone in the crowd or before her. It was a voice that she knew all too well. Sora voice echoed in her mind.
" I accept your challenge, sir Gilgamesh." Namine said with a wide, genuine, Hartsfield smile on her face. The Sketchbook that was at her side started to react and flip to a page with a drawing upon it. "let's both do our best." She would wait until her opponent had set himself up and was ready to commence the fight. Namine may not have that much strength on her own, but just like Sora she has the strength of the people that are connected to her. Literally. " sir Gilgamesh...." she called out to the warrior. " thank you." She gave a small nod and another Heartfilled smile. Battle begin!

Gilgamesh smiled broadly as he saw how much his speech helped Namine. Almost instantly, she brightened up, smiling a bit more happily and confidently than before. No longer was she a sad puppy, but a happy one! He could see himself becoming good friends with her after this tournament. It looked like she could use some friends, too. But that was for later. For now, there was a match to win. "BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHA! That's what I'm talking about! You should smile more, Namine, it suits you better! Now... as for your advice earlier..." Gilgamesh stepped back and swords appeared all around him, one for each arm. "You're absolutely correct! Firearms are so boring! I don't even feel like I'm fighting! But close combat? Now that's more my style!" Gilgamesh reached down with each arm and picked up his swords. "Now... let us do battle to our heart's content! Allow me, GILGAMESH, to show you why I'm the mightiest swordsman in all the worlds!" In all honesty, Gilgamesh was still conflicted about fighting Namine. It had less to do with the fact that she was a little girl and more to do with the fact that he still didn't know what powers she wielded. Gilgamesh had experience with dealing with girls who held way more power than people gave them credit for, namely Krile, Galuf's granddaughter. Gilgamesh knew exactly how dangerous they could be. So did Namine hold the same power or something completely different?
Either way, there was only one way to find out. Gilgamesh dashed towards Namine and slashed with one of his swords... only for it to be the infamous Excalipur. If it hit, it would seem to do almost unnoticeable damage and make an odd "plink" sound. "Grrrr... will my schtick continue to haunt to the end of my days?! Curse you, Excalipur! CURSE YOOOOOUUUUUU! Perhaps this sword will suffice!" Gilgamesh swung with another sword, this time the much more dangerous Excalibur. Gilgamesh then jumped backwards and awaited Namine's next move. What would this mysterious girl do next? The anticipation was almost too much for Gilgamesh to bear but BEAR IT HE WOULD!
------------------------
1) Gilgamesh brings out his swords to actually start the battle.
2) Gilgamesh brings out Excalipur! That's one for the blooper reel!
3) Gilgamesh uses Excalibur! Far more effective.
[Cooldown: 2 posts]
I Don't Even Feel Like I'm Fighting: Frustrated with his firearms, Gilgamesh throws them away and equips his arsenal of swords. Gilgamesh is far more capable a fighter this way. "Bullet Showers and Rocket Storms" and "Rocket Launchers" are deactivated and this ability and the following ones are activated. [Duration: Until end of thread] [Cooldown: Once per thread, no seriously, Gilgamesh is not changing back to guns.]
Excalibur: Inflicts medium Physical damage. [Cooldown: 2 posts]
Excalipoor: Inflicts one point of physical damage. [Cooldown: 1 post]

Namine blushed about the compliment about her smile. She wasn't used to getting compliments like that. It only made her smile more brightly and Nod at her opponent. Her stance did not change into any kind of Battle Stance as usual. She was not inept in the ways battle stances or cries, even as far as a style goes. Perhaps this was due to the fact that she had many different styles all rolled into one. The nobody let her opponent have the first move. Even though she felt inferior to those she had fought before and somehow one she still learned quite a bit from watching them. One of her mistakes with lightning she felt was that she rushed in instead of analyzed what lightning could actually do. She was impulsive much like Sora or Roxas. In her second fight she learned to watch her enemies weapon for hints of certain strikes. So she would wait and watch. Formulate a plan as she went along seem to be the best way to go about how she would manage to make it to the end of this fight at the very least. Namine watched as Gilgamesh pretty much just tapped her with the one sword. It didn't hurt it was more like.... a paper cut. Then again, papercuts can hurt a whole lot more than that strike did. This befuddled the memory witch and for that reason she didn't block the second attack. She wondered if it was going to be anything like the first and if it was there was really no sense in blocking it. Unfortunately for her, she was wrong about the next attack. It managed to slice her arm doing a little bit more damage. It would seem that Gilgamesh was now gauging what she could do since he had jumped back and didn't attack again as of yet. Namine notice something else about the way her opponent thought. Right now it was just a theory and only time would actually tell, but maybe it would give her an opening a little bit more. Since Gilgamesh did not make another attack she figured that she may as well give him what he wants. Her SketchBook already had a drawing place to pawn it. She tore the page from her book and the crowd seemed to cheer knowing what was going to happen and wondering how it was going to happen. "boys and girls every age, would you like to see something strange?" She spoke and her voice started to shift almost layering what sounded like to voices overlapping each other. As the page was being torn from the book, one page followed another, and another, and another in a string like chain. As she tour the pages became thin and thread-like. She let go of the thread of pages and they moved on their own. They started weaving around her, and eerily, into her skin as they made stitches across her limbs. Namine silky blonde hair turned red and thread-like. Her blue eyes shrank it's nothing more than pinpoint black pupils. Her skin became Pasty almost a bluish color. Her white dress grew slightly and the pages from her book that was also sowing into her skin started to sew up the dress in a patch like pattern. Spirits from the underworld Rose from underneath the Coliseum floor shrieking and moaning before dissipating back into their hellish prisons. The daytime sky turn tonight as a giant yellow moon sat eerily in the sky above the now transformed Namine. This was by far her most eerie of her mind manipulating ability. She figured that Gilgamesh had many lives to work with so it was only fair that she was able to do the same. An aura surrounded the Raggedy Ann rendition of Frankenstein's monster, the queen of Halloween, Sally. The aura that polished from her was one of her natural, passive abilities, premonition. With the Seeress ability she would be able to predict some of the moves before they happened as long as she was Sally. Sally Namine still stood her ground without making a movement towards her opponent. Her doll eyes would follow you wherever you went without her ever turning her head. In the Halloween monsters hand was a strange jar which she dipped her hand into and blew it in the direction of her opponent. " trick or treat." She said as she blew the deadly nightshade from her hand. If it was inhaled and worked properly her opponent would be poisoned as his strength would be zap little by little over a period of time. She knew it was a risky move to take since there was a good chance that it might not work. She took a similar chance in the last battle as Ursula and managed to get lucky before the darkness attempted to take her over. However, Sally May look as though she has come from the darkness but even a monsterous look can have a heart that walks in the light. The pumpkin Queen was one of those creatures.

Gilgamesh couldn't help but smirk as Excalibur struck home. However, he couldn't be too confident. After all, he had yet to see what Namine could do. She had to have SOMETHING special about her to not get wiped out in the first round. But what could it be? Was she a black mage of some sort or perhaps the equally mysterious blue mage? A dancer? A thief? A BERSERKER?! Ok, maybe not that last one but Gilgamesh had seen stranger, to be sure. Then the girl tore a page out of that sketchbook of hers. Hadn't he fought someone similar? A small girl who could paint the visage of monsters and, through that power, use their attacks, clone items and even rend the very universe asunder?! Hmm... no, Gilgamesh definitely would've remembered someone like her. Oh well. Then Namine asked if he, being a boy of an age, would like to see something strange. "Why yes! I would like to see something strange! But I must warn you, I've traversed the very depths of the Rift! You're not going to get much stranger than- what's with your hair?" Gilgamesh saw that Namine's Sketchbook was morphing and changing and that Namine's hair was changing to a bright red. Gilgamesh wouldn't let this faze him, however."I see... it all makes sense. You seem to be changing your shape into another different shape, as if you shifted them. You are... A WERE-REDHEAD! IT ALL MAKES SENSE! Well, I'm not sure how tactically sound it is, but if it means anything, I believe that red is the noblest of all colors- EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!"
Much like Rojo in his last fight when Gilgamesh changed to his multiple armed form, Gilgamesh screamed like a girl when the specters and wraiths flew up from the arena and the sky darkened, illuminated only by the moon. He had also jumped quite high for someone as big as he was. He immediately tried to regain his composure, but his hands were shaking a bit. Now the small innocent girl had changed into what looked like a person stitched from parts from multiple people. However, she still seemed rather innocent, even sad. "I-I-I WASN'T SCARED! I was merely pretending to scream like a girl, so I could lull you into a false sense of security, a trick that YOU HAVE CLEARLY FALLEN FOR! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" It was then that this new Namine reached into a jar and, after asking whether Gilgamesh would like a trick or a treat, blew... something at him? Gilgamesh couldn't quite see the poisonous powder with only the moonlight to aid his sight. It looked more like this Namine was... "O-OH NO! Don't blow a kiss at me! I know I'm devilishly handsome but you're too young! I must act quickly to PROTECT MY IMAGE!"
In one of Gilgamesh's hands was an odd fan-shaped blade. This was the Bashosen, a weapon created out of loneliness and in memory of his friend, Enkidu. Gilgamesh waved the fan blade, creating a weak, but effective wind current that dispersed the poison and also tried to catch Namine in the attack as well to buffet her. "Ha! Image protected! Now to do battle! No matter what form you take, it's no match for me, GILGAMESH! Gilgamesh then swung the lightning bolt-shaped sword, Zantetsuken, at Namine. Then he did a huge sweeping slice at Namine before doing an upper slash to give Namine a new view of the ground from high in the sky, courtesy of Gilgamesh's Blitz & Launch.

3) Gilgamesh uses Blitz and Launch on Namine, both to damage her and confuse the Besaid Aurochs.

Sally Namine's eyebrows Rose at Gilgamesh ridiculous deductions of what was happening. She smiled slightly as he screamed like a little girl at her transformation outcome. The queen of Halloween was very pleased to hear the screams of another. It seemed to give her quite an energy boost. She shook her head with the knowing smile at him trying to deny that he was scared. She could see him shaking . This was going to be fun.
The wind from The Sword took the dust particles from The Nightshade and waffed them back towards Sally. It would seem that her trick did not work as well as she had hoped. So instead of poisoning her opponent the Nightshade dust particles poofed and turned into candy corn as it blew back towards the ragdoll. She had caught a few pieces in her left hand.
The wind seem to pick up but the rag doll was used to windy, cool nights. The wind whipped her hair in her face which baffled her briefly before her natural ability of premonition kicked in. "I sense there's something in the Wind." She cooed. She saw a giant sword being swung at her moments before it had actually happened. She could have stepped out if the knowing it was coming, but she wanted to hear him scream again, see tge fear in his eyes for what was about to happen. The sword did indeed make contact and ripped her torso revealing some of the leaves that she was stuffed with. However the young girl did not flinch whatsoever. She was in no amount of pain. In fact, The Ripped stitches that the sword had cut through pull themselves back together as if nothing had happened. Sally Namine giggled and tilted her head at her opponent.
The next sword sliced at the memory witch and she was knocked into the air from the Blitz and launch. As her stuffed body reached to meet the Moon and was silhouetted, the stitches came completely undone and the rag doll fell apart and hit the Arena floor. Her head, torso, both arms, and both legs, we're all separate. As her head roll around on the floor her eyes were closed. Even though she was scattered all over the place her right hand snapped its fingers and her eyes popped open. Obeying her snap four dusks appeared. They contorted themselves which seemed even eerier then it usually was in the scene that was present. 1 dusk picked up her head. The second dusk picked up her legs. The 3rd dusk picked up her torso. And the 4th dusk only picked up one of her arms. This arm was still clenched in a fist.
Her right arm, the one that had snapped to summon the Dusk, pulled itself up on its fingers and started scurrying towards Gilgamesh, attempting to climb up his form and Claw at his face. The four dusks with each of their body parts also came at her opponent from all different sides. In a ghoulish combo partnered up attack, the first dusk swung Sally's arm in front of Gilgamesh. Since it was in a fist it made an extra reaction to actually punch at his torso as well. At the same time The Dusk that held her legs, twirled them in circles at his side creating the ultimate double side kick. Direct in the same time frame of the other two Dusk's, The Dusk that held her head bowled her head from behind. Once Sally's head reached around to her opponent's legs it's started bitting fiercely at his feet. The final dusk that held her torso swing it upward attempting to Launch Gilgamesh into the sky and letting gravity take care of the rest.
After all her body parts were near each other the stitches reached for each other pulling themselves completely back together again. She slowly backed up with her dusk's right next to her. The moon got lower and lower in the sky until it once again silhouetted the doll this time standing near the middle of the Arena. The doll suddenly turned all black and springing forth, just as the moon disappeared, a flock of bats erupted from the dolls body. Once the bats had cleared away, Namine once again was standing before her opponent and the sky once again turn in to day.
Her eyes now returned to their original blue looked at her opponent, reached out her hand that was clenched in fist the whole time since the beginning of her recent attacks. Her hand opened towards Gilgamesh and inside it was the candy corn that had bursted from the deadly nightshade. She took a piece and popped it in her mouth to show it was safe before offering Gilgamesh some. " looks like you were lucky enough to get the treat." She smiled at him her dusk still guarding her from each side ready for his next attack.

Gilgamesh was rather surprised that his patented technique of "Slice everything with a sword or six" didn't work too well for once. In this form, Namine could apparently move her limbs around with little trouble! How needlessly creepy! Even worse, she summoned a bunch of white, wispy looking things that contorted their bodies. "Zoinks! G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-APPARITIONS!" Gilgamesh exclaimed as the Dusks went to work grabbing up the Zombie Namine's limbs. Then they advanced on Gilgamesh and began attacking. However, this assault wasn't as effective given that Gilgamesh could still block with his swords. Yet, while he had many arms, he still only had two eyes and so some of the attacks managed to get through while he was distracted with the other attacks. Namely, the first claw and the punch to the gut. Luckily, he himself managed to avoid getting launched in the air, so that was a plus. Then the Dusks managed to put Namine back together again, who then seemed to taunt him with Candy. So the fight had become five-on-one rather than the one-on-one. Gilgamesh did not regret coaxing Namine to reveal her full power, but he was beginning to lament it.
"Grrr... s-so you think you can make me flip out by summoning a bunch of zippered ghosts, eh? Well, you might be able to pull yourself together but I bet you can't do that forever! Besides, you forgot one thing about me and ghosts and that's... THAT BUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEL GOOD!" Gilgamesh then crossed all of his arms across his body and then sliced at the Dusks and Namine with all of his swords in a Cross Slash. His enemies would find that despite the distance, Gilgamesh's powerful swords could still reach them somehow. Then Gilgamesh sheathed a couple of his swords and shot a couple spheres of energy at Namine. One was as black as the night sky that enveloped the colosseum, while the other was scarlet in color. They were the Eerie Shockwave and Death Claw attacks and while they did decent damage, their main power was to debilitate their opponents.

Upon seeing Gilgamesh Crossing his arms in front of him, Namine mimicked The Swordsman and crossed her arms in front of her as well. Unlike her opponent that was casting some kind of attack though, the memory witch was for defense. When she did this all four of her dusks rushed in a line in front of her. One by one each of the dusk's fell to the Slash that was given. The last dusk flew back into Namine and then dissipated knocking her over. The attack itself was powerful and this was in hopes that she could block it or at least receive less damage.
Namine fell backwards onto the ground at the force of the dusk that hit her. Being in a vulnerable position and the not having enough react time she felt 2 orbs hit her. First the black orbs, and then the red orbs. The young girls still managed to sit up with much effort. Her face was screwed up in a grimace. After those attacks she felt like all the magic was draining out of her, and at the same time that her touch senses were heightened. The ground felt a lot harder than it normally would have and she could also feel the cool and the heat coming from it. But really what gave it away was that the wounds that she had received prior to the tax seem to stay more whole lot more. She reached out to grab her Sketchbook that has landed near her and she felt textures that she had never felt while in contact with SketchBook. It was a bit baffling but she had a guess on what exactly the intent was for.
Ignoring the feeling that Namine felt foggy and that her magic seemed almost non-existent by that point, she still snapped her fingers to call for her next group of summons. Nothing happened. Her eyes got wide and thinking maybe it was a fluke. She snapped again, and again nothing happened. So she decided to try something else. She Rose her free hand in front of her to call upon a corridor of Darkness. To her dismay the darkness never came. She looked at her hand almost as if it was the culprit. Then it occurred to her that maybe it had something to do with those last attacks. She was beginning to understand how Kuja fell in their last battle when she was able to silence him. She had always felt empty being what she was, but now without her magic to assist her she felt even more empty.
Namine looked up and glared at Gilgamesh for a moment. "You can still do this." She tried to convince herself. " mr. Kuja was able to survive your onslaught of attacks without magic. You just have to think and use what you have, or if possible use what he has."
The memory witch glare softened as a few ideas came to mind. She really could do this she just had to be careful. More like she had to do this she could feel those lavender eyes still staring into her, no magic required. She was going to take gilgamesh's advice and not let though she defeated down. She wasn't going to go down without a fight. And if she was defeated, she wanted to know and let them know that she did everything possible.
Namine said the rest of the way up, and knelt on her knees instead of drawing up to her full height. She figured this way she would be a smaller Target then she already was. She placed her Sketchbook on her lap with one hand over it and the other one under it holding it in place. She continue to look at the man.
"So, you're the greatest swordsman ever!" Namine smiled at him. " there must be so Many Adventures you have went on! So many things you've seen that I could only dream of! Oh the stories you must tell!" Her eyes gleamed. " but how did you become the greatest swordsman ever? How does one become the greatest ever at anything? Are there special rules you must follow?" She tilted her head at him.
Namine eyes lowered slightly, still keeping the man in her peripheral vision. A sad smile crossed her face. She said or rather she quoted from the vast Library of memories that she knew of. "There is what another Swordsman used to say. There is another one, as well, their entire path and what they did revolved around honor. They joined the army in the place of their father even though they shouldn't have. She looked back up at Gilgamesh in full. "Honor..... does that have something to do with all Swordsman? What is honor? Is it really that important?"

Ha! Gilgamesh's attacks worked like a charm! Any attempt at trying to use magic would be futile! Gilgamesh had this fight in the bag! While he had hoped to see more of Namine's abilities, he was in this tournament to win it. Besides, he had already won the moral victory of helping a little girl achieve her dreams of being an unstoppable warrior! Soon she would be taking swords from worthy opponents all on her very own... wait, did that mean Gilgamesh had COMPETITION?! Nah, thought Gilgamesh that is both silly and crazy! As Gilgamesh braced himself for Namine's next attack, he noticed that she didn't do an attack. She got on her knees and looked up at him with those big puppy dog eyes. Or was it kitty eyes? Either way, that look struck the most vulnerable part of Gilgamesh: the part of his brain that recognizes how adorable something is. Then she asked her questions on how Gilgamesh became who he was and if honor was important. He fought long and hard with his ego. After all, this was clearly a distraction and only an idiot woul- "BWAHAHAAHAHAHA! Of course, I'll tell you how I, GILGAMESH, became the greatest swordsman in all the worlds!"
And thus did Gilgamesh, the greatest swordsman in all the worlds, launch in a long, long, LONG monologue about his backstory and his feats of amazing glory. The tale seemed to span worlds as Gilgamesh told of how he was trapped in the Rift by ExDeath and managed to temporarily escape into other worlds. He also mentioned in the distant past of how he used to be a king of a place called Lorica and also a l'Cie, a term that Namine might have heard Lightning use. The entire monologue took forever, causing some in the audience to sleep, despite Gilgamesh's bombastic voice. "And THAT is how I became the greatest swordsman in all the worlds! As for special rules, you always fight WORTHY OPPONENTS! Never pick on the weak and helpless, that's just bullying! And yes, Honor is paramount in being the greatest swordsman! Without honor, you'd just be a thieving animal, a villain stabbing people in the back! Always protect your friends and the helpless! Never back down from any challenge! AND ALWAYS HELP OLD LADIES ACROSS THE STREET!" Gilgamesh had spent so long monologueing that he forgot that he was supposed to be attacking...
