The endless blackness soon gave way to light. Not the eye-straining brightness that the sun would provide when stepping foot out of a dank cave, no. But any light was better then the endless void that existed inside whatever that swirling dark portal thing was. The lights were dim, as if candles were being used in the presence of a power shortage. At least there was activity here. People living and moving and speaking... and animals too... walking on their hind legs. None of those who appeared to dwell here seemed all that put off or bothered by the fact that animals roamed the streets as if they thought themselves humans. How very curious. As far as memory served, there existed no such place like this anywhere. Slowly, the slender, auburn-haired male turned and glanced over his shoulder, watching as that dark swirling gate-like thing spun itself into nothingness, as if it had never existed in the first place. An eyebrow was raised as naught but the creak of the individuals leather coat emitted sounds while gently rustling in the passing breeze. Slowly the slender male turned himself back around and cast his glowing turquoise eyes across the area.
Some sort of cafe or restaurant was on the left, with another building further back past that. A sign hung over the door of the further building. A shop, perhaps? Up a flight of steps was another building, two story. Again a sign was over the door here as well. The man in the long crimson coat continued to stand his around as he gathered his bearings. A couple of passer-bys gave him a concerned look, but they were unintentionally ignored as the auburn-haired man seemed to be in deep thought over something. I have no recollection of this place... He thought to himself, as his bright turquoise eyes were returned to the spot behind him where the portal once was. A gloved hand was raised up to the individuals chin and finger and thumb gently squeezed the flesh of his lower face lightly. Even that's too advanced for Shin-Ra... I wonder what that was... and where am I now, exactly? The auburn-haired man turned back to face the shops ahead of him and with a mental nod of his head, decided it would be smart to seek out answers from the populace over trying to figure things out himself.
However, after only a couple of paces, a burning pain shot through the stranger's left shoulder, causing him to wince and stagger forth a few paces. Collapsing down onto a knee, the stranger held his left shoulder tightly for a moment, the pain passing quickly. After blinking a couple of times and slowly pushing himself back up to his feet, the crimson stranger looked at his right hand, clenching it into a tight fist. The leather glove creaked as it tightened about the man's fist. ... Not felt that pain in a while... Heh... I wonder where I'd be now had Angeal not stopped me back then? He thought as he lowered his arm and relaxed his hand. Slowly the stranger shook his head from side to side and continued onwards towards the shops he could see up ahead. I ought figure out where I am now, over reminiscing the past. Leather boots carried the crimson-clad man up the cold stone steps and he stopped at the top, eyes glancing up to observe the sign hanging over the shop. ”... Cid's Accessory Shop? Cid? Why does that name sound so familiar...?” With a shrug of his shoulders, the stranger reached a hand out and went to push the door to the shop open. Let's see if anyone was in here and if they'd be able to answer his questions.

Naminé decided that it was time to visit the world between worlds, Traverse Town. It was one of the few places that she could go without disrupting the natural order of things. A place where weary Travelers can go and Souls who lost their world to an imminent threat could hide out for a while and recompose themselves. All sorts of people and creatures lived there and they all had their own story. It was a place where the young Nobody didn't have to worry about blending in or say something wrong. She could just be herself.
High on the rooftops of the First District of the town Naminé ran giggling from some Dusks that she had summoned to play with. She was often alone nowadays, but it wasn't the constricting loneliness that she felt when locked up in either white rooms that she use to occupy. So for company the Nobody summoned lesser creatures of her kind. They didn't seem to bother the residence of the town nor pay them any mind. As long as she didn't task them to mess with anyone they seemed perfectly fine chasing her out of fun. They would play swipe at her and she would practice dodging or getting out of their grasps, or they would weave themselves between her ankles and she would jump over them like jumping rope. It might have been a trick of the light, but the more she spent time with the Dusks, the more human they appeared. Not so much their outlook, but they way they moved and acted. They seemed a lot less the Dusks that they started out to be and are normally for their kind. The Memory Witch couldn't quite put her finger on it.
The playful Nobody was sliding down on one of the roofs right above the Items shop when a familiar man with a pointy blonde hair, a sour face, and a straw sticking out of his mouth came out from the Accessory shop right across the way. He was looking around for a moment when Naminé giggles must have caught her attention. Her Dusks were still a good bit behind her so he really didn't get a look at them. He warned her to be careful playing so high up and probably where she shouldn't be. He used strange terms and kept calling her girl or girly and he sounded a bit grumpy. Naminé didn't take any of it to heart, not that she had one. She knew that the man's heart was in the right place and under the sour face and grumpy old man voice was a fairly nice person, when he wanted to be.
Naminé smiled at him sweetly and waved from the roof. She reassured him that she would be careful. He simply sighed and shook his head mumbling something about kids. He looked back up at her suddenly as if a thought had occurred to him. He asked her if she would be around this area for a bit longer. Turned out he had a errand to run one of the other districts of the town and really didn't want to lock up the shop if he didn't have too. He didn't know where his other employee was and didn't feel like waiting around for him. Naminé confirmed that she would be around a bit longer and he asked her if she could keep an eye on the shop. His other employee shouldn't be that much longer. She nodded in agreement and Cid rounded the corner and vanished out of sight.
The Nobody kept an eye on the shop from the rooftops. She figured if anyone had went in she might have to follow so they didn't take advantage of the shop owners absence. She just hoped that they didn't ask her anything about the items sold there because she really didn't have a clue. Luckily for her no one bother the shop.
Naminé and her Dusks were on top of the roof of the Cafe Shop when the Dark Corridor opened near the gate entrance of town. She had looked over at it after halting her Nobodies advances. Though their movement towards her had stopped their bodies forever moved and contorted in place.
She tilted her head at the Corridor wondering who had conjured. She didn't think there was anyone else in the town currently that was that connected to the Darkness, other than her and her Dusks, that could have done it. There was no one in the center of town that was waiting to use it from what she could see from her vantage point. So if it wasn't meant for someone to go out of town, that only left for someone to come into town. She was quite curious and so moved a little closer to the edge of the roof to observe.
Naminé seeming blue eyes took in the man that walked from the portal. Clothed in leather of red and black she watched as he looked around. It was heard to read him from where she stood but he looked as if he was lost. This seemed to be the norm for those who were just entering the town for the first time. So she really didn't think anything of it. She was about to turn around and start her game back up with her Dusks when she saw the man stagger. Worry flicked in her eyes as the thought crossed her mind that he might be injured.
She slide down the roof of the cafe and landed back on the roof of the items shop. Her Dusks followed. She was about to jump to the pavement below when she saw the man recover from his original state of pain and start walking forward again. Naminé stayed were she was on the edge of the item shops roof and continued to watch over the newcomer with a worried expression still painted on her face.
Naminé was closer to the man as he ascendant the steps in front of the shop. She could see his face clearly now and a twinge of familiarity hit her. "He is linked." She thought as she study his features. "It isn't a direct link since everything seem to be blurry in her mind, but this man was linked to someone or someones that Sora was very similar with." She had a strange thought that maybe he was connected to her own chain in someway as well. Perhaps someone she has directly met knows this man. Other then the wash of familiarity that flowed in her, there was nothing else. She couldn't get an exact read on him.
Movement towards Cid's shop broke Naminé's thoughts as the man began to go into the shop. "He isn't in." Her voice called from on top of the Items shop to the crimson one. Some of the passersbies looked around for the voice that called out to see if she was talking to them. It was apparent soon after finding the sources of the voice that she wasn't and the went on their way.
Namine stood there against the ink black, starlit sky facing the crimson man. Never breaking her eyes from his figure as she searched him carefully. "Cid stepped out on an errand and he asked me to watch over the shop till he or his employee returns." She explained. Her eyes left his face and she looked over to his left shoulder and became once again filled with concern for the man. "Are you injured? I think the items shop might be better equipped for injuries that are already sustained." Naminé's back was turned on her Dusks as they contorted even closer behind her to see what was taking place.

Do you ever get that feeling that you're being watched by someone? At first, the feeling was ignored as there were more pressing concerns to address first and foremost. The weird dark portal thing, the strange new location and the feeling that something was... well, that something was different. That last one wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but when you awake from slumber, reunite yourself with a lost brother and then find yourself emerging from a world of pure darkness into a strange and unknown area... well, let's just say that there was a lot to process right now. Regardless, from his stepping forth from the mysterious portal to only having his gloved hand mere inches from gripping the door handle to Cid's Accessory Shop, that feeling of being watched didn't go away. Quite the opposite in fact. It seemed to grow stronger... and closer. It was so much of a distraction at this point, that the crimson-clad stranger simply stood as still as a stone statue with his hand still reaching for the door handle. Something doesn't feel right... The stranger thought to himself as he continued to stand in his solidified stance. Only when he heard movement followed by a voice coming from above him, did he finally move again.
Slowly, the crimson-clothed figure took a couple of paces backwards, his black leather boots coming to a stop when he was roughly half way between Cid's shop and the stone steps leading back down to the courtyard below. Bright turquoise eyes glanced upwards, his head tilting backwards slightly as he did so, causing some of his auburn hair to slide back towards his ears slightly. The strangers movements were slow, controlled and calm. Like there was absolutely nothing to be worried about, nothing to rush towards. His expression was blank, with only a subtle knitting of his eyebrows being the only sign of character on his face. His eyes on the other hand, were ablaze with questions and concerns. They had a mysterious glow to them, like they'd be the only thing you'd see of the man were you to see him in total darkness. His eyes were hard, and sharp, looking like they alone were telling you a lengthy and complex story. Yet the words his eyes spoke were in a completely foreign language. A young girl stood above him, slender figure, blonde hair, a pure white dress that shifted in the passing wind. She had a stunning pair of bright blue eyes herself, and hers too seemed to speak volumes of what she had seen and witnessed.
The creak of leather tightening came from the auburn-haired stranger as he raised his right hand up towards the woman standing on the rooftop above him, his fingers reaching for her as if wanting to grasp her hand. It looked like he wanted to say something, but he faltered and frowned, finally showing some sort of expression on his face. Slowly his hand clenched into a fist and was lowered back down to his side, his head looking away at the same time as peered off to his left and cast his gaze upon the Item Shop nearby. After clearing his throat, he finally spoke up. ”... You may way to step away from the edge, less you enjoy giving strangers a view of your smalls...” He said nothing else for a moment as he repeated the words the young woman spoke to him earlier through his head. Cid and his employee were out currently and this young girl was asked to watch over the place in their absence. That seemed... unusual. Perhaps not, if Cid and this girl knew of each other? Either way, it wasn't the auburn-haired man's business.
He looked back up at the blonde-haired girl when she asked about his shoulder, causing him to glance at the shoulder in question. He sniffed briefly as he raised it up and rotated it about a couple of times, before looking back up at the girl and nodding his head slowly. ”I am fine, just a little stiff.” He confirmed with another small nod of his head. So, this Cid fellow wasn't here huh? Perhaps she'd be able to assist him instead. With a slowly blink of his bright eyes, the stranger took a couple of more steps backwards as not to crane his head back so much while looking up at the girl in the white dress. He raised an eyebrow when thinking he saw something shifting behind her, but when not seeing another else for a moment, he shrugged it off as nothing. ”Tell me... Where exactly is this place?” He asked with a soft and calm voice. He sounded friendly and polite enough, even if his choice of words weren't.

[attr="class","parm"] [attr="class","parmimg"] [attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Ravus had recovered from his injuries from his first fight with a heartless. He had found a way to get away from this world and travel, but he still didn't know how to get back to his home, so the only thing he could do was continue jumping around to the next world, asking around if someone knew how to get to Eos. In Traverse Town was no one that could help him so it was up to the Royal himself to return to his home. It wouldn't be the first time he was on his own. He wanted to get his arm checked up once more by a skilled man called Cid to make sure everything was really fine with it now, his steps leading him down the stairs that led to the shop, when he heard two people talking nearby. Blinking, Ravus would stop for a moment, listening to the conversation. It was the voice of a girl and a young man and they talked about this man called Cid. He was not in the shop...? How unfortunate. He almost sighed, knowing his departure would be delayed by this, his steps continuing to lead him around the corner where he could see the two talking to each other. One was a man dressed in black and red, most of it leather, his features rather soft. The other was a girl sitting on the roof of the shop, wearing a white dress, seeming completely fine with the fact that she was rather high up.
Ravus had caught that this man was lost, most likely just like him... maybe he was from his world? There was a possibility, so maybe he could at least get SOME kind of information, should he be lucky today. It was not his conversation, but he felt like getting into this could prove profitable.
“You are in Traverse Town. A place for refugees from other Worlds, from what I understand.”
Finally reaching the last step, he was now on the same level as the man, his magitec-arm hanging rather motionless next to his body at the moment, his other hand flexed into a fist.
“Pardon me for listening to your conversation. I wanted to talk to Cid, but hearing he is not here... is rather inconvenient. When will he be back?”, Ravus said, the question directed to the girl on the roof however, his eyes wandering upwards to face Namine.

Naminé looked at the Auburn hair man curiously as he reached his hand up to her. At first she thought he was trying to cast a spell or something and she did take a small step back. However, nothing in his face suggested that he meant any harm thru his gesture and he soon lowered his hand, looked away, and spoke.
The Nobody tilted her head as he spoke and she leaned forward in attempted to see his face even though it was pretty much impossible "....Huh?" She questioned. "My....smalls?"she had no idea that the man was talking about, but the Dusks behind her seemed to understand. One attempted to pull her skirt lower, and the others pulled her back from the edge a bit more while the man was looking away. "Hey!" She said said as she stumbled backwards. She turned her head towards them and shoot them a glare before realizing what was being suggested. "I am wearing shorts under the dress you know." She said more to them than she did the Soldier. The Dusks seemed to be satisfied with this answer and backed off.
Naminé shook her head with a sigh before returning her attention back to the man below. She didn't buy his statement about his arm just being stiff but thought it best to not push any further on the subject with the stranger. She was about to tell the man where he was when another chain made itself known, cutting her words off, and answering the question for her. The new person was also a man. He had shoulder length silver hair and his one arm was made of.....wait....was that metal of some kind? This shocked the young girl and she brought her hand up to her chest and maybe a loose fist. It was something knew to behold but she felt it impolite to stare for too long. She nodded at the newcomers statement in where they were. "Yes, that is correct." She confirmed that what he said was true.
"I am sorry. He didn't say. It actually sounded like someone else would be taking over the shop in his stead shortly." The Memory Witch could see the disappointment in both their face at the fact that Cid wasn't in. She looked down thoughtfully trying to think on what she could do to help them out. Someone paying them no mind went into the Item shop and that is when and idea struck her. With her abilities she could easily find where Cid was located and take them there. Her outlook got more cheerful at the thought. "Hang on! I have an idea." She said cheerfully.
Naminé leaped from the rooftop without a second thought and thrusted her arm to the ground below. A dark portal appeared suddenly and sucked the falling girl into it depths. second laters another Corridor formed in front of the two gentleman and walked the blonde girl as if she just didn't jump from some many stories up. "Wait, here!" She said energetically and ran of towards the items shop.
It was a few moments before Naminé emerged again. When she did so, she didn't do so alone. One of the Duck triplets came out with her and ran off to the accessory shop. She smiled at him and thanked him as she walked towards the other two gentleman. "I have a feeling that Cid was original going to as them to watch the shop since they have experience with owning their own, but when he caught a glimpse of me he must have thought it not worth the energy since I was right there." Naminé said to the two man. "They also gave me this." She pulled a green liquid vile out from behind her back along with some packets and instructions on how to mix it. She looked to the Auburn hair man. "Just stiff or otherwise, your shoulder should still be treated. You might have a long journey ahead of you and you want to be in top condition for it." She smiled up gentle at him.
Naminé addressed both of them now. "I can take you to Cid, with little Huey watching the Accessory shop. Cid is at Gizmo Shop from my understanding. I can treat your shoulder when we get there, The light out here is to dim for me to read what is on the paper." she started walking passed the two man and up around the left of the Accessory shop where another set of stares awaited them.
High above on the rooftops the Dusks lurked, jumping from roof to roof following their summoner. No telling what trouble the group my run into after all. "My name is Naminé by the way. Pleased to meet you." She temporarily walked backwards to see if they would indeed follow
