@megara 326 words Here you go! My chosen torture makes me stronger Sophia was enveloped in a warm darkness, feeling as though she was adrift in the sea. The Battlemage knew she couldn't stay here, but that didn't stop her from wanting to. Here, she could just stop running. Stop fighting. Just let herself drift off into oblivion. 'No. There's still a lot to do. I can't rest just yet.' Once she came to that conclusion, Sophia felt something poking her on the side. She let out a groan, suddenly becoming aware of a rock poking her in the back. She turned to the side, opening her eyes to see a blurry shape in front of her. Lady War blinked once, then twice, her vision clearing up and the blurry object coming into view. It was... some sort of ape.
It appeared to have some sort of crazy hairdo, though. "Who the hell...?" Sophia groaned and stood up, the ape that was poking her seemingly being scared off as soon as she moved. Slapping her cheeks lightly, she tried to shake her grogginess. Looking around at her environment, she noticed there was incredibly thick foliage and strange flowers all around. There was nothing like this back home, so she wondered where she was? "This damn humidity, too..." She mumbled, wiping the sweat from her brow. There were all sorts of strange sounds around as well, the various chirps and chitters making her want to cover her ears.
Sophia knew at that point she was somewhere else entirely. Trying to remember the moments leading up to her ending up here, all she could remember was being found by one of her uncle's Witchhunters. She ran... and ran... into the Shadowlands. Then she remembered a swirling vortex of dark energy... and then nothing. She was here after that. Letting out a frustrated groan, Lady War took a quick look around. "I need to try and find a town, then. Maybe I can find more information about where I am there." ulla

High up the canopy of green and brown a portal opened on the thick branch of one of the trees. Out from the Corridor of Darkness Naminé stepped on the the tree limb. Her very image contrasted against the very dark colored of the Jungle. She looked all round be careful not to slip from the branch and come crashing down to the forest floor below. Think vines and trees blocked most of the sky above her but the beams of light that manage to cut through the leaves and light up the world below told the young girl that it was still daylight out. She would hear various animals of all kinds, from big to small. Water sounds rippled along the earth adding to the song of the animals. Soft streams got louder as they roared into white water rapids, and louder still as they came crashing down from high above land masses only to turn to white water as they hit the rocks below before once again yielding into a gentle body of water once again. Perfectly balanced, tranquility and chaos. The perfect place to sit and draw, to forget about what might lay ahead, to just be one's self.
Naminé closed the portal that brought her and settled down on the tree branch where she stood. Her back propped up on the truck of the tree. The branch was thick and sturdy and had a beam of light hitting diagonally as it intersected with where the branch and the truck met. It little up her sketchbook that she summoned forth to draw in. The light washed her appearance out allowing her to blend in a bit better with her surroundings.
The Nobody bent her knees close to her chest and settled the sketchbook upon them. Once again, as main times before she seemingly pulled a pencil out of thin air. She looked around from something to inspire her when she spotted a family of Gorillas not to far away. Some of the younger ones had taken to climb the trees and horsing around. Naminé smiled and giggled softly at the sight of them. She knew perfectly well where she was having seen it through the memories of so many others. Seeing the Gorillas only confirmed her whereabouts even more. She seemed to be up high enough and far enough to be safe from view and no other creatures were paying her any mind. The Ape man, Tarzan, as she recalled a name, didn't seem to be around at the moment and neither did any of the humans that accompanied him from time to time. So no worries about being spotted by anyone that she would have to explain herself too. She could just simply say she was a friend of Sora's, but she didn't want to get the keyblader in trouble for leading anyone to a nesting site. It was best if people that lived within a world didn't know of the existence of other worlds and occupants. Only a handful of people from other worlds knew the truth. Some keep it secret while others have much more malicious goals in mind. The walls and barriers surrounding the secret were crumbling as is. Naminé knew she had caused too much trouble to people as it was it contribute to that. But if a true resident of the worlds was to discover her and ask questions.....friends with Sora was her best bet. She could make up a story on why she was there to keep him out of as much trouble as possible. After all, she was very good at telling stories.
Naminé decided to draw the gorillas and so she set off to work on what she hoped would be a well drawn masterpiece. She was so into getting every detail right in her picture that she didn't notice that one of the gorillas had wandered off close to where she was. She also didn't notice that another had just entered the world just below her. It wasn't until she heard a frustrated groan that she looked up from her drawing. The gorilla that had wandered off was now making its way back to its family as fast as it could. The Nobody knew that of all the sounds that the primate could make, that sound didn't come from it. She looked down from the tree just below her. If she had a heart, it would have stopped for a moment.
There among the flowers was another person. It appeared to be a female and she was also veiled in white. It was very clear that her heart nor appearance belonged to this world. She was an outsider much like Naminé but didn't seem to come here from her own free will. The Memory Witch searched the memories she had access to, but nothing came of it. Not a single memory to any link of the chain tied to Sora. This was the second time that no memory came up.
Naminé dismissed her sketchbook and pencil. She swung her legs of the branch so they were dangling from side and she could look down properly and braced her hands around the branch on either side of her as much as possible to keep from falling. She watched the young woman curiously with slight tilt of her head. Occasionally, the Nobody would look over her shoulder at the gorillaz to see if they caught on to the intruders in their home. She kept out of sight for now to see why she was here. The last things she wanted was to be attacked herself or deal with gorillas or their protector.
Naminé kept her eyes of the other woman. She appeared to be lost and unsure of herself. That could be dangerous. The Nobody might not be the only watching the scene unfold and at the same time she didn't want to give away her position just yet. The comment about trying to find a town came to her ears. She knew that there wasn't one and the more attention the other woman would draw to herself by traipsing around jungle was beyond dangerous for all. Naminé had to do something.
Eyes locked on the woman, Naminé casted her voice in to the other's mind as she had done countless times before using her Telepathy. This way she could remain hidden until she could determine a reaction. Her voice would speak gentle and calmly as it reached out to the other person's mind far below her.
"A town? I am afraid you won't find one."
Telepathy: Without make a sound from her mouth Naminé can speak directly to people through her mind to theirs. Comes in handy when she doesn't want certain parties to over hear what she is saying. Often used to each people in difficult places like the depths of darkness or light within their hearts and minds. Outside of battle it can be used freely to as many people as she sees fit within the same world. She can reach those she has or makes a personal connection to from anywhere as long as the meet from this point on. During battle it takes a little more concentration. During battle she has to be looking directly at the people she wishes to contact this could leave her vulnerable to attacks. She can only contact 2 people at a time.

214 words notes My chosen torture makes me stronger Sophia had hardly taken two steps when an unfamiliar voice echoed in her head, making her stop on her tracks. Very little of her attention was on what the voice actually said, and more on the way it was said. 'Telepathy magic? Curious...' She raised an eyebrow, intrigued. That sort of magic was quite advanced, normally relegated to the most experienced magi. "Okay, then. Consider my interest piqued, mysterious voice." Sophia smirked with amusement. "So, you seem to know a bit about this place."
The Battlemage crossed her arms and began scanning the surrounding area, just in case the source of the magic was around. "Where am I then? I am not exactly a resident of this land." Lady War soon began to pace back and forth across the jungle floor. "And for that matter," she continued, "who are you? That's some pretty advanced magic you're working with." Sophia was quite interested in learning the name of such an accomplished mage. Someone who was skilled enough to learn telepathy likely knew all sorts of strange and wonderful magic.
Sophia herself was an accomplished mage of pure blood and even she didn't know telepathy. In fact, the only mage she knew personally that was capable of such magic was her uncle and Archmage, Uria Dubois. ulla
