Personality:
He is an adventurer. A daredevil. A man of honor and of course.. completely nuts at some points. Chronos is a personality you won't forget so fast, once you meet him.
Brave – Chronos, as a Warrior of Light, is not afraid to jump into action once someone is in need of his abilities and he does not fear Dragons, nor Primea or Demons. He will always stay his ground and keep on going forward, never tugging his tail between his legs... unless it has to do with angry women.
Intelligent – Even though the race of the Mi'qote are more known to be great archers, which is not wrong with Chronos, the boy had chosen a more... technical route. He always had a create intellect and was very good with technology and crafting. When Cid took him under his wing, it didn't take long for him to understand the patterns of technology used for weaponry and after being trained in Ishgard, he became a great Machinist, already building his own devices and even his own weapons with the knowledge he has gained.
Passionate – It is one way of describing his.. bubbly personality. He is smiling a lot, always trying to keep a good mood and is known for laughing death in the face most of the time. When he puts his head into something, he is very enthusiastic and full of energy, not going to quit so easily. That makes him annoying for some people, but he doesn't care much.. or at least doesn't show it.
Screwy – All the screws on his weapons are tight, but sometimes he comes off like he has some lose on his head instead. Maybe it's his way of dealing with the pressure of being a Warrior of Light and all the loses he has faced, who knows. The only thing that is for sure that this Mi'qote has some issues. He has a habit of coming up with strange ideas that ..sometimes don't go well with his knowledge of weaponry. Also, he sometimes talks nonsense or talks to himself loudly. Also, in the middle of a fight when his Adrenalin is the highest, there might be a chance of him snapping and going wild with his gun for WHO KNOWS WHAT reason.
Kind Soul– Even though he is a little crazy, deep down he is maybe one of the kindest persons you will ever met on your journey. He always wants to help if he can and wants to keep those save he cares for. It breaks his heart when to see others suffer and it pains him a lot to know that he wasn't able to save people on the route he is walking. He keeps his worries to himself most of the time, trying his best to keep on going for everyone else.
History:
Chronos, named Ga'zhuji at his birth by the tribe, was born in the deserts of Thanalan. His parents where both known hunters of the tribe, his father teaching him in young years how to use the bow and went hunting together with him when he was only 6 years old. Chronos was very skilled with the bow and a very fast learner. He got the nickname 'Soul of the Hunter' when he killed his first Sundrake with the age of 9, these lizards usually only for experienced hunters. He truly had the hunter-gens of his parents and the eye of a hawk, however he soon found something else than hunting that caught his interest. When he went out to Ul'dar with his father to sell some skins on the market, he met an adventurer with an interesting weapon at his side. It was a rifle.. something he had never seen before and even though his father was against it, he talked to the man, wanting to know more about the weapon he carried. The young man told him that he was an adventurer and shared his story with him. Little Ga'zjuji's eyes started to sparkle when he heard of the stories of traveling the world and was so fascinated by the things he told him about his weapon, that the young Mi'qote wanted to come with him and learn more about it! His father however dragged him away, telling him not to get involved with outsiders, pulling him back home at his ears and telling him to stay with his tribe.
“You are gonna become the new leader of the hunter of our village. We need you to keep the tribe going!”, his father told him, but the young mi'qote couldn't help it..
It was his duty as part of the Ga-Tripe, but he could never forget the stories the man had told him and the gun at his side that shone so bright in the daylight.. not like his wooden bow and arrows. Years went by and the young boy turned into a strong man of his tripe. With his age of 18, he was declared head-hunter of the tribe and took over his father's job, going out into the desert every day with his group of archers and fighters and bringing back food and skins for his people every night. Ga'zhuji had become a master of the bow and was honored by the tribe, but he had not forgotten the man from Ul'dar. Without his father knowing, he would always go to the Adventurer's guild in the city when he went out to sell skins and listened to the stories of the travelers. He wanted to become on himself and travel the world.. but he knew he could never do it as Head of the hunters. The young man would always be bound to his people...
However, everything changed one day.. the day the catastrophe happened. Ga'zhuji was in town that day, trading some skins for things his people needed out in the desert when.. the inferno came. Bahamut's rage burned over Ul'dar, the flames of hatred eating away on everything on their path. Ga'zhuji survived the attack on the city and immediately tried to return to his home to make sure everyone was save! But.. the part of the desert has family and friends, his whole tribe had been.. was gone.. it was just a deep hole filling with sand. Bahamut had wiped out his whole family and friends that day... He was the only survivor. With no where to go, he returned to Ul'dar, heartbroken and all alone. He was found by a Lalafel that day who took him under his wing and showed the broken youth kindness and love he needed to survive this terrible tragedy. The man, Totori Tori a merchant from the town, brought him to his home and cared for him from that day on. It took Ga'zhuji long to get over the death of his family and the destruction of his home and he changed his name to Chronos later to not be reminded of his parents to much by his name. His tribe had vanished from the earth anyway, so there was no need to cling to a name like this anymore. With the pain of the destruction slowly fading and his mind returning to reality, Chronos made a decision that changed his life completely. He decided to go to the Adventurer's guild and become an adventurer himself, making his childhood-dream reality and getting away from this city in hopes of finding a new purpose in life.
Maybe it was pure coincidence or maybe fate, but on one of the missions, he met the man again that had once sparked his interest for adventure, the Machinist Gray Thunderberg, a Hyuran from Mor Dhona. Chronos told him his story and the old Machinist seemed so touched by it, that he offered the boy a chance of becoming a Trainee in the Garlond Ironworks he had connections to. Chronos was unsure if he was able to learn something like crafting such weaponry Gray had with him, but the other just told him 'You will be fine. I have a feeling you are destined to become something great and your current weapon doesn't unfold your true potential.' Chronos didn't understand what the other meant, but he went with the offer and visited the Ironwork's to take a look. And.. he couldn't believe it but Chronos was completely blown away by what he saw inside. He had never seen so much technology and he would again feel like the child who first saw that shiny rifle Gray had back than. Chronos soon learned he wasn't just good with archery but also very good with crafting and machines! It was like a hidden talent he had never known off till now and the Ironwork's seemed to understand his potential and started to train him as a Machinist. It was only a few years later, 5 years to be exact, that Chronos was finished with his training and once again went out into the world with a new fire in his heart to explore and get a name as an adventurer out there, just like Gray did once. The old Machinist had died not long before Chronos went out on his adventure, the old man having been his master till the end. The Mi'qote wanted to continue his legacy and become the greatest Machinist-Adventurer out there!
Only a few days after his adventurer started, he was chosen by the Crystal and became a Warrior of Light, many obstacles hitting him on his way to glory. Guided by the light he traveled through Eorzea and Ishgard, many wonderful and terrible things happening to the young man on the route. He destroyed evil, made friends.. and lost friends on the way, one of them hitting him very hard however. It was a certain Elezen's death that made him question the road he was on for some time, but he kept on going, able to banish the evil from Ishgard in the end and bring peace to the people of the snowy city. He was about to continue his adventure when something rather unexpected happened. It seemed like a normal mission at first... taking out some creatures from the Void close to Mor Dhona, when a strange portal appeared and sucked him inside, teleporting him through the universe and away from his home! Finding himself on a world that wasn't his own, the Mi'qote started to panic at first, of course, but the voice of the crystal in his hand spoke to him, telling him everything would be alright. He might no longer be on his world, but there are many others outside in the universe that needed the help of a strong light like his. There are many warrior's left with his gift that would continue for him. His destiny was in the universe and help banish the evil. Chronos was confused, but it wasn't the first time that fate tossed him in unknown terrain, so the experienced Warrior just smiled and shouldered his loved rifle.
“And adventure in space? Neat! Where do I have to sign?”

It was already the middle of the night and most people in the tavern were already in bed or had passed out from to much alcohol. Yet, there was still one candle burning in one of the rooms, lightening up the table that was completely covered in papers and mechanical parts, just like tools for crafting. The Mi'qote that was seated in front of the table set aside his wrench after adjusting a few parts with skilled movements of his hand, his other hand holding a beautiful rifle in it, a sigh escaping his lips as he finally managed to finish his work, a tired smile creeping on his face when he took a look over his creation. This was his master piece... he had been working on it for very long and finally, right in this moment, he held the finished project in his hand.
“It is done...”, he would whisper, carefully placing it on the table and leaning back in his chair, his red eyes now staring at the ceiling for a moment, before he turned his head to the side, right in the direction of the window where a picture was standing, placed in a beautiful frame, the light from the moon outside illuminating the face on the picture that smiled back at him.
Slowly, he would get up from the chair and walk over to the picture to take it in his hand, looking at it with his eyes starting to wet. He missed him so much... he was never able to get over his death. Of course, as a warrior of light, he was forced to go on, but he would still always look at that picture and start to cry when he thought about the young man that had given his life for his. “I am sorry.. I wasn't faster. I know you want me to smile, but I just...”, he started, a tear rolling down his face. “Don't worry, my friend. I.. I will keep on going. Not just for Eorzea, but for you, also. You.. by my side.. in every battle I face.” His ears folded back, a sniff escaping him before he would set the picture down again, his eyes traveling to the rifle he had created. It was a beautiful piece, showing some connections to Ishgard and the dragons, but most importantly, it held the might of a swordsman.. this would be his sword and shield in every battle.
This was his memento...New life given to the man who was already dead. He moved over to the desk and took the rifle in his hand, undoing the safety switch and loading it for the first time with a click. “Let's go together... Haurchefant.“
