Rina couldn't stop the almost smug grin that sprang to her face when Ravus conceded to her admonition. It tickled her on the inside that she was able to still win an argument with a man. "Persuasion like this comes from years of experience" she said with a quiet laugh. As she bustled around the foyer and kitchen trying to clean the remaining mess she pointed down the hall. "There's towels in the closet and a bathroom to the left if you want to clean up. I can make up the guest room or the couch if you want to spend a few hours to rest." She shrugged and clapped her hands together before looking down to see them still smeared with blood. "I don't mind. I know I need to get cleaned up and could use a nap myself." With the front rooms clean now she pointed to the stairs and started to walk towards them. "I'll be up there for a minute. If you want to leave...I won't stop you. But please...take what time you need." With that she smiled and turned her back on him to walk up the stairs. Was this smart? No. Did Rina care? Also no. There was someone who needed help and she helped them. That was all she needed. Ravus Nox Fleuret

The prince watched her quietly, the smile on her face making his eyes narrow for a moment. Knowing that you lost and argument with someone is one thing, but KNOWING the person KNOWS she has won is even more damaging to the ego. And knowing she knows you know.. urg. He avoided eye-contact for a moment, trying not to show how embarrassed he was by this. She told him what she was going to do now and where he could get something to wash himself. Sighing slightly in response, he would carefully get up again.
“...fine...”
Well, he had lost this battle with the woman, but he would win the next one. His voice of reason was louder than the one of his pride. For now he would take his time and rest up. Ravus was a commander, but he was also a royal once and he had learned to repay his debt. This woman has saved his life and he would surely repay her for this. He moved to the bathroom Rina had showed him, taking a big towel and making himself comfortable in her bathtub. He decided to take his time in the water. His metal-arm had a special alloying that kept it from damage taken by influence of nature. It repelled water well, so nothing would happen to it's sensitive joints, even if he fell into the ocean. He didn't know how long he had been laying in the water, thinking about all the things that had happened to him, since he opened his eyes again in that dark place. It still felt like he was dreaming. Like all of this wasn't real. He left the water finally, drying himself and putting on his trousers and shoes, just like his shirt, after washing off the blood on it. He felt better now and no longer as exhausted from all the blood-lose. Ravus was still pretty tired, not gonna lie, but he would first check on the woman that saved him, before he would decide his next step. He kept his armor off, so he wouldn't put to much weight on his already exhausted limps. He would start to search for the woman.

As Rina entered her bedroom and shut the door behind her, she could hear the water turn on in the downstairs bathroom. She nodded happily to herself. He decided to stay. Good. She went to her own bathroom and turned on the shower letting the water warm. Giving herself a glance into the mirror she scrunched up her nose in displeasure. Fatigue was very noticeable on her face, along with splatters of blood that had dried dark on her pale skin. Rina looked like she had been gravely wounded as well. Her dress was ruined and as she pulled it over her head she stuffed it into the trash. No use trying to salvage it. Grabbing a towel and washcloth from the rack, Rina stepped under the spray. Almost instantly the floor of the tub became tainted red and it only became darker as she began to scrub the rest of the filth away. Without realizing it Rina began to tremble and only noticed how weak she felt when the cloth fell from her hands. Her knees nearly buckled and she only just kept herself from falling by bracing herself against the wall. Yup. Okay. We're done. It's bedtime.
Only when she thought she was okay did Rina gingerly step over the threshold of the bathtub. Still shaking she grabbed the towel, shook it through her hair a few times and then wrapped it around her. She took quick steps into her room, dropping the towel and grabbing a robe that was sitting on her dresser. After struggling with tying the knot, she took a few steps towards her bed before her legs finally gave out. Rina let out a yelp and a curse as her skinned knees hit the floor. Her eyes darted to her ajar door hoping that Ravus hadn't heard that and would come searching. She didn't want to seem like a total weakling in front of him after being a total badass earlier. Hissing as her knees dragged agrainst the carpet, Rina crawled to the foot of her bed and sat with her back against it, head tilted back. Great...migraines back. Rina took some deep, even breaths. Keep it together Rina. What's wrong with you? You're fine...
Doubt began creeping into her mind. She hadn't felt this exhausted in a long time. She really hadn't been that drunk, and staying up all hours wasn't anything new. Was she that out of practice with her magic? Was it her Darkness being upset because she helped Ravus out? Or was it because of the disease he mentioned... Surely not. Ravus Nox Fleuret

[attr="class","parm"] [attr="class","parmimg"]
[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] The steps to the upper floor felt like an eternity to the commander. Time seemed to slow down around him in his current condition and with all these thoughts troubling him. He still didn't know where he was and what had happened to him. Had this been a bad dream after all? Some kind of hallucination? He also wanted to believe that the scourge-outbreak Ardyn had caused was part of that nightmare as well. But the wounds he had received and that strange feeling he had before... It was all adding up to well to be a hallucination or nightmare.
I can't accept this to be true. I don't want to accept that this man was still haunting me... that he has brought me back from the dead most likely, only to make me become his servant once more.
Oh, how he hated Ardyn.. the man that had been the culprit of all the evil that had befallen his home and brought an early death to his sister and mother. Just thinking about it made his hands shake, as he continued his way up the stairs. He had just reached the next floor, when a yelp dragged him out of his thoughts, the voice having come from on of the rooms on the right. That was Rina's voice.
Immediately all his senses told him to grab a weapon and prepare for the worst, but moving his hand to the side where his sword usually was, he found that it was not there. He had kept it off with the armor... Cursing under his breath, he would rush to the door (stumble, in his condition) and leaned against the wall, his metallic arm starting to charge up with electricity.
“Miss, are you alright?”, he would ask, getting ready to bold inside the slightly open door next to him. Ravus was more paranoid than he thought. Maybe something had just startled her, but there was always a chance of an enemy to be close by or something else that could harm them.

Rina's head shot up as she heard Ravus' voice outside her door. She mentally brought her hand to her forehead in exasperation because physically she did not have the strength. What was she supposed to say? No, come help me please? Yes, I'm fine but I'll just take a nap here in the floor because my legs won't work? She sighed and tried to make her way back to her feet, but couldn't push herself back up. "Y-yeah. I'm fine..." Rina barely made the words out. Her voice was just as tired as she was and there was no way that Ravus could have heard it. Rina tightened the fastening on her robe and cleared her throat.
"I'm okay...I just fell. I guess healing you took more out of me than expected." Rina said trying to be louder and not so nervous as she felt on the inside. She sighed and told him the truth of her predicament. "Ravus...I can't get up. I'm so tired. I can't feel my legs." I'm scared... "Can you help me...?"Ravus Nox Fleuret

[attr="class","parm"] [attr="class","parmimg"]
[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Ravus mother had taught him many things about honor, trust and kindness, when he was still a child. She wanted him to be a good king for Tenebrea, when her time has come to step aside and led a new generation lead. The boy had cherished all she had taught him and wanted to make her proud. All of that was destroyed by Niflheim. They turned the young and kind prince into a cold-hearted commander. Yet, traces of the boy were still in him, only to be seen by his sister in rare moments, usually. Rina would witness one of these moments of kindness herself today.
He could hear Rina's weak voice from inside her bedroom. She explained what happened to him and that she was just exhausted, but it soon turned into a request for help. An urgent one, to be more precise. She couldn't move anymore? Ravus knew that this was surely his fault and he could feel something one would call guilt nag at the back of his mind. He himself wasn't in a good condition, but this woman had saved him, so there was only one thing he could do...
His metallic arm stopped to spark, his human hand moving to open the door, so he could slip inside carefully. Ravus was greeted by the sight of the young woman sitting on the floor, seemingly burned out. A frown would appear on his face, the commander slowly walking over to her, before he would kneel down and scan her for anything on her body that could also cause this condition. When he didn't find anything, it was clear that this was purely from exhaustion. He ha almost feared that the scourge might have touched her body somewhere and it was a relieve to the commander that there were no signs of it on her.
“I will try.”, he would answer her question finally. He would carefully place his metallic arm under her legs, his other arm taking hold of her shoulders, before he would lift her up from the ground as he stood up. He took a deep breath before he set her down on the bed gently. Ravus than took a chair nearby and quickly sat down on it, slumping down slightly. These last hours had been some of the most exhausting in his whole life.
“I apologize for... the problems I have caused you.”, he would mumble slightly. “I know how draining such power can be. You should cherish that blessing, but keep in mind that... it can kill you.”
He had watched how such a blessing slowly killed his sister. She wanted to help others with it, but the exchange for that power was her own body and soul.

RIna was immediately wrought with shame as Ravus lifted her gingerly from the floor, the cold metal from his arm biting into the back of her knees. She shouldn’t have asked him to do this, he needed to rest. His strength never seemed to falter, but Rina could see the effects of exhaustion in his face. Ravus couldn’t have been much older than Rina, but the way this frown was etched onto his lips made his features look pinched and aged. Rina could tell that her features must have been doing the same, because the headache she had was getting worse. Rina closed her eyes and tried to relax her face, but was brought out of her thoughts as Ravus set her down in the center of the bed. He turned and all but collapsed into a nearby reading chair. To the woman he looked scarily pale and like he could lose consciousness at any time. Rina’s eyes went straight to his chest, counting each rise and fall, finding relief when Ravus’ low voice made its way to her ears. “I apologize for... the problems I have caused you. I know how draining such power can be. You should cherish that blessing, but keep in mind that... it can kill you.”
Rina began to shake her head at his apology, but stopped mid-shake as he gently berated her about her healing abilities. Keep in mind that it can kill you. The young woman tilted her head in surprise for a moment before leaning back with a groan, digging the palms of her hands into her eyes, migraine raging. He spoke as if healing magic was something rare, special, out of place. Maybe to Ravus it was. Rina had never thought about it before because wherever she had gone in life magic seemed to be accepted and easily accessible to those that could wield it. Magic had been something that Rina had always carried with her since mingling with the Darkness, but it was by clinging to the Light that she was able to heal people like she could. She lived life teetering between the Dark and the Light, using Light to help others, using the Dark to help herself. She knew it could be dangerous, but recklessly never questioned it. Rina lifted her hands from her face, blinking until everything came back into focus. They were trembling ever so slightly. With a sigh she clenched them into fists and dropped them to rest beside her. She didn’t disagree with Ravus. Had she been expending herself this whole time to help others? Strong magic from any source always came with a price. It could kill if the price wasn’t paid. Rina knew that her Darkness would end her one day, but would it actually be the Light? Rina took a sharp breath in, suddenly aware of how vulnerable and weak she was. How much damage that may have been done. Rina sat up slowly, wrapping her arms tight around herself. She looked over at Ravus and gave him a tight smile. “Hasn’t killed me yet.” Ravus Nox Fleuret

[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Ravus was pretty exhausted and really could need some sleep, but he had been a soldier for to long. He just couldn't let himself rest in a place he doesn't know. He still has not figured out where exactly he was and how he should continue from here on out. He watched her silently for a moment, seeing how she eyed him with worry. She should take care of herself more, he thought. She was also exhausted and he was over the hill, so she should focus on herself for now and rest up just like him. He watched her sit up after a moment of silence she seemed to be thinking about something.
A frown formed on his pale face. Yes, it hasn't killed her.. YET. Ravus couldn't help but feel like she was being way to reckless. Did she not care about her own life? She should treasure what she has and not throw it away like it doesn't matter. Ravus was not one of the sentimental kind that walked around and gave life advice to everyone he met. He would only share these kinds thoughts and emotions with his sister... Still, he couldn't save her from death, because she also saw her life as less important than that of others.. Or at least that is how it felt for Ravus most of the time. What about him? He knew that they both had been trained for this by their mother but after all he had witnessed, it felt.. unfair to him. Why was Rina reminding him so much of her?
His face twisted in pain. “...it will...” Ravus shook his head, turning his gaze to the window, trying to tell the time. “Why do all those that are blessed by such gifts throw away their life? Don't you have anything to hang on to? A person close to your heart? Someone that doesn't want you to get hurt?”
He suddenly sounded so angry, the man noticing that his voice had shifted in tone. This subject was a very touchy one and it made his blood boil, even in his current condition.

Rina’s eyes narrowed as Ravus’ voice became raised. “ Excuse me?” Normally it wouldn’t have bothered her and she would have shot right back, but she was too tired for this and most likely that was why she was so irked. She swung her legs over the side of the bed and attempted to stand to stare at Ravus. Her head pounded, but she stood her ground with hands on hips, robe sliding up her leg. “ That’s really not your business, is it?” She followed his gaze out the window and feeling brave,walked over to draw the curtains a little tighter. The light was hurting her eyes. “ Gods, it’s so late. We’re never going to be able to sleep now.” Walking back to the bed she turned the blankets down and gestured for Ravus to get in. “ You’re not going to sleep in that chair are you?” Leaving the question open ended, Rina walked very slowly over to the opposite side of the room, stopping every few seconds to steady herself. I’ll be damned if I fall again. Undoing her robe and stepping behind a dressing screen, she struggled to put on a tank top and sweatpants. Coming back around she tried to make a joke. “ I usually don’t show this much skin on the first date. Or my bed. Scars, my sparkling reputation and all of that. You must be special.” Shrugging her shoulders and gesturing to said scars she climbed into bed, ready for sleep. She couldn’t though, because Ravus’ irritating words kept moving in her head. Rina stared at the ceiling, fiddling with a chain around her neck that had an old silver wedding band at the end of it. Her voice was quiet and sad when she spoke. “ I’m not trying to throw my life away...I just...no. No, Ravus. I don’t have anyone that cares about me. Not anymore. I care deeply for them but now...they’re either dead...or I’ve pushed them too far to come back. I hope one day I can fix that, but I just don’t know.” Rina let the ring fall back to her chest with a clink. “ Can we sleep now?” Ravus Nox Fleuret

[attr="class","parm"] [attr="class","parmimg"]
[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] It seems this was also a touchy subject for Rina. She was suddenly standing up, even though she shouldn't in her condition and looked down on him with a rather angered expression on her face. Yes, she was correct that this not his concern since he doesn't know anything about her... but she didn't know why he was saying these things to her and explaining all of this to a stranger just wasn't something the commander would do. Keep your weaknesses to yourself, so no one can use them against you later. A typical way of dealing with private things in the army. She complained about wanting to sleep, also asking him if he wanted to stay in the chair to sleep.
Ravus quietly looked at her, than the bed and back to her. “... Yes... This is your bed. I won't take it from you.”
A soft sigh escaped his lips and moved his hand down to the metalic seals that kept his uniform and armor where it should be. He opened the locks and took of his mantle, taking off the metallic boots as well and setting them aside for now. He could rest better without all that heavy armor on him. Of course he worse something under it. A black, long sleeved shirt and grayish trousers that had been hidden under all the plates. Both was made out of a soft fabric, so he won't feel any discomfort wearing it in combat under all those heavy metallic pieces.
He had not payed attention to Rina in that time, looking up to find her having changed into something else. Right.. she had not been wearing a lot before.... Her remark about her skin and everything made him blink slightly, before he would turn his head away, seeming a little taken aback by that choice of words. “..Ah... This.. is far from what someone would call a date.”
Ravus leaned back into the chair, ready to try and relax and rest, when Rina's words reached his ears, his head turning once more to look at the woman in silence as he listened. So she was on her own? Just like him.... He didn't respond to what she said, only speaking when she asked about them being ready to rest now. The commander nodded and closed his eyes, trying not to think about all of this to much, so he could find some peace.
It took a while for him to finally shut down and sleep. However.... his dreams were far from pleasant. The things he had experienced before his death and after his resurrection in the Realm of Darkness were still to fresh and started to plague him even in his sleep. He could only rest for a few hours, before his dreams would shake him awake once more, the commander quietly sitting up, sweat still rolling from his face, breath coming in short wheezes.
He needed some fresh air... He didn't pay any attention to the girl, just wanting to leave this dark room and get into some sunlight in hopes of escaping these dark thoughts. He moved to the hallway, going for a window at the end of the hall and carefully pulled the curtains away and opened the window, so he could get some fresh air and sunlight on his skin. It was in that moment that he noticed something he had not payed attention to this whole time.
The city he could see in front of his eyes... looked nothing like the architecture of his home or anything related to Insomnia or Niflheim. He would raise an eyebrow, trying to make sense of this. Where on Eos was he? Some part of the planet he had not heard from before? He moved a hand down to a device he normally had attacked to his ear, activating it to trying to get a signal out to any radio-towers or military bases close by.
Out of service.....
These things could send many miles outwards. There was no way that any technology that it could pick up was not in range. A strange feeling started to settle in his stomach and he recalled the strange dark place he had been in before and how he ended up here. Suddenly getting pale, he would swiftly turn around and move back to the bedroom in which Rina should still be resting. “Rina...”, he started, trying to wake her as gentle as he could in this state of panic that started to form on him. “Rina... I am sorry to wake you, but where in Eos are we? How far are we away from the next biggest city...?”
He really hoped he would get the response he wanted to hear.

Rina watched Ravus finally settle down into the chair to rest. His eyes closed and Rina turned so her back was towards the man. She reached over to turn off the lamp, before snuggling into the blankets. Once her eyes were closed it was hard for her to open them back up. " Night, Ravus.", she murmured but it was perhaps too quiet for anyone else to hear. Rina fell in to a heavy and dreamless sleep, her chest rising and falling with slow breaths. She was still acutely aware that Ravus was nearby, but that didn't seem to disturb her sleep. When he woke with a start, all she did was turn to lay on her side and pull the blankets closer to her face. She never knew that he had left the room and was only made aware that he had returned when he began trying to wake her up. The girl made a soft noise and tried to shy away from Ravus' voice, but his voice only chased her and she blearily opened one eye to look up at him. The mildly distressed look on his face, startled Rina awake and she sat up quickly to pull him down on the bed to look him over. Stretching to the side, she flipped on the light looking around the room for some sort of disturbance. " What is it? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Rina shot one question after another, squinting her eyes and searching his figure for some sort of injury, but finding nothing. As she did so he apologized for waking her and quickly asked where in Eos they were and how far was the next largest city. Her eyebrows drew together and she tried her best to hide a yawn behind her hand. " What do you mean, Eos? Ravus, Radiant Garden is the biggest city. Well it's the only city really. The rest of the world is too harsh to live on." Yawning again, Rina leaned back onto her pillows, tracing an imaginary line on the ceiling, like she were following the lines of a map. " Next two closest worlds are Twilight Town and Traverse Town maybe. Eos is..." Rina thought hard, tracing the line again and meeting Ravus' eyes. " I don't think it's even in this star system. Why? What's up? What's in Eos?" Rina realized then that in all of the early morning commotion, the pair's conversation had never really turned to how Ravus ended up on her street almost bleeding to death. Rina really didn't know who Ravus was other than what little he had shared. Oh no... " You're far from home, aren't you?" Ravus Nox Fleuret

By the gods, she must be joking. He kept telling himself that she was teasing him or making things up. Or that all of this was just a dream, but it felt way to real for this. His face turned a rather unhealthy color the more Rina spoke. Her worry was flattering, but quickly pushed aside by her telling him that this place is farther away from his home than he could have ever imagined. She even spoke about different stars. There had been people reading the stars for centuries in his home. They even prayed to the Astrals, seeing them as gods to guide them and the thought of other stars with life on them has also been discussed for ages. After all, the Scourge had come from somewhere else than Eos.
This… all made way to much sense for his liking. “That’s… impossible…”, he got up, taking a few steps back, his gaze wandering through the room to find anything he could point to her being wrong. But there was nothing he knew in this bedroom… no sign of the Astrals, Niflheim, Insomnia… “I can’t be on a different star. That is preposterous!” His voice was rising again, the man starting to walk around the room, pacing up and down in terror, while he tried to process this. The more he thought about it, the more he found her words to be no lies. He should be dead.. But he is here. And he had met Ardyn. The scourge.. Different stars. His revival. No. It can’t be. It just can’t! He put a hand on his face, trying to hide his emotions from the girl. “No… no, I refuse to accept this! I refuse to be an other pawn in this man’s game!” He grabbed a nearby chair in his rage and flung it to the side on a burst of fury. This was all Ardyns fault. This man had done something to him and now send him out to the stars, so he could continue what the scourge has started in his home?! Never!! He took deep breaths, putting his hand on his face again, when he felt something odd. There was something wet on his face, rolling down his eyes. Was he.. Crying? When had he started to sheet tears? What a disgrace… “Ardyn, you are getting me so far to actually-“ It was in that moment, he would move his hand from his face, looking down on his fingers. Those… we’re not tears.. It was black, oily… a disgusting liquid he knew all to well. And it was dripping out of his eyes, rolling down his face. The anger swiftly turned to pure horror. The scourge… the scourge was coming out of his body, just like it did with Ardyn. All of this really happened. This was all real. He stepped back slowly, seeing it drip on his hand from his face, his mouth also starting to release the liquid. He looked at Rina, face twisted in agony and fear. “… I… I am… A accursed.. “

Rina watched Ravus' face go through several emotions, before he jumped up and began to pace around the room. He seemed like he was on the verge of panic, almost like a wild animal trapped in a cage. Rina stood up, keeping an arm's length between them. He walked in a circle around the room, eyes darting everywhere, and Rina followed him at a distance. She could feel the panic coming off of him in waves and she desperately wanted him to remain calm. A panic attack would do no one any good right now. " Ravus, listen to me. It's okay. Hey. Look at me, I can help you get home." Her tone was soft and calm, opposite of what she was feeling on the inside. Ravus almost appeared to be spiraling into a pit of despair and anger. He was yelling things that made no sense to Rina and his anger must have reached a tipping point as he grabbed the chair from her vanity and tossed it forcefully to the side, sending it flying towards Rina. With a yelp she sidestepped the object, but couldn't entirely miss the splintering wood that flew into her. " Hey! Don't throw my shit! Ravus you need to calm down!" Perhaps he was listening to her now as he buried his hands in his face. Rina slowly crept closer, still treating him like a wounded animal. " Ravus...?" Rina gently placed her hand into the crook of his elbow, pulling gently to try to see his face. What she saw made her gasp and back away, tripping over the broken chair and falling backwards. Coming from Ravus' eyes and mouth like he was some demonic creature was an inky black liquid. It dripped down his face onto the floor and fell from his fingertips as he turned to look at Rina. The fear on his face was something so real and palpable that Rina herself was instantly struck with terror. " R-Ravus...?" Scooting back so she was against the wall, Rina used the support to pull herself up and into a defensive position. Putting her arm in front of her, Rina summoned one of her daggers into her hand and quickly but with careful movement moved herself from the wall and closer to the door. She was shaking with fear, the dagger wavering in her hand but tried to keep herself as steady as she could. " This...this is for me. To protect me, not hurt you okay? I'm not going to hurt you. Ravus you are scared and now I am scared. I need you too tell me what I can do. Let me help. This is the scourge right? Remember I said I could help you?" Rina stammered over her words, but couldn't keep herself from rambling. " What do I need to do?" Ravus Nox Fleuret

He was not a demon. He was not cursed. He couldn’t be. But it was right in front of his eyes, the black liquid coming from him, dripping down his face. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion and unfocused before him as his vision seemed to change, becoming darker and more distorted as time passed. He could heard a loud noise, his eyes looking up to find Rina at a wall now, walking slowly to the door with a knife in her hand.
She told him she wanted to help and the knife was just to protect herself. They were both scared of the same thing. She was not his enemy in this. This was all real. All of it. He looked down to his shaking hands, watching the liquid drip with eyes clouded by the scourge starting to invest his mind, making his thoughts slow. However, he was snapped out of it by a ray of light shining through an opening of the curtain at the ground close by. His mind seemed to return to reality, thoughts forming to create a sentence.
“The sun… “
He coughed some of the scourge out, the liquid splattering on the ground below him, some of it hitting the floor the sun was shining on, the substance starting to smoke immediately. Yes… ! Yes, this could really save him! He needed to get into sunlight to burn it out of him!
He looked up at Rina, holding his chest now.
“Get.. Me.. Out… “, he coughed, hoping she would be able to bring him outside as fast as possible. All the demons could not exist in sunlight on Eos. They only showed up in dark places and at night to attack others. He stumbled in the direction of the door, fighting the darkness that tried to stop him and take over his body. It showed how they struggled each other, Ravus steps looking more forced the closer he got to something that could save him from its control.
Rina mustn’t touch him at all cost, but she can help him get there faster by guiding him and keeping his mind with her. She might be a healer but if they were not on Eos, than she was not a gods chosen. Nothing would protect her from the sickness.
“Ardyn.. That is why you revived me… you monster.”, he mumbled, shaking his head violently.

Rina's eyes were wide with terror as she pressed her back against the door frame. Ravus was continuing to hack and cough, the black liquid splashing onto the floor. Her flicked between Ravus' face and the junk that he would cough up, her eyes begging to know what it was that she needed to do. Rina had worked to hard to save his life this morning and she wasn't going to have drop dead in her bedroom. The scared young woman could barely make out his answer of needing the sun to help, but it clicked into her brain as she witnessed the scourge leave Ravus' lips and splatter onto a strip of carpet that was bathed in sunlight. It sputtered and smoked for a moment before disappearing completely out of existence. Sunlight! He needed the Light! Of course! Rina mentally brought her hand to her forehead. They both locked eyes at the same moment and Ravus growled his request for Rina to 'get him out' and she began to make good on that request. " Sunlight, you got it. Follow me!" Pushing herself from the doorway and out into the hallway, Rina held out her hand and summoned a large orb of light into her palm that would illuminate the surrounding space. Rina hopped to the other side of the hall pushing back a hanging tapestry to reveal a short, hidden staircase. " Come on Ravus. I've got just the thing for you." Glancing backwards before putting her attention to Ravus, she began walking backwards up the stairs. She was hoping Ravus would follow. Ravus Nox Fleuret
