Still amidst the freezing winds of the snowy mountain village, Rayne stood out quite clearly on the street where she stood. Between the white snow and the brown and red of the buildings, Rayne's blonde hair and her black and purple dress helped her to stand out like a tower in a flat grassland. There was no way she could be missed in this situation.
While she stood, waiting, Rayne pondered back to how she ended up in this situation. She had met another foreigner to this world named Rina, and on a whim, she decided to speak with her. To engage and be normal for a change. It had been quite refreshing, Rayne thought with a smile. They headed into an inn and sat to warm up, but were interrupted. Rayne recalled vividly how rudely that boy had approached, though she was glad to see he did indeed have some manners once he was scolded properly. Just thinking of his reaction made Rayne lick her lips pleasurably, but she knew now wasn't the time for that sort of fun! Today she would be normal!
As Rina and the boy had some business to discuss, Rayne decided to let them chat and graciously excused herself. She had agreed to meet back up with Rina here though, and about this time. It was about noon, and the sun had started to peer out from behind the clouds. With some luck, the winds would soon die down and maybe the air would warm up a touch more. Though it still didn't bother Rayne, she wondered if Rina would enjoy being out in the cold.
Certainly she seemed capable for battle, but no matter how strong, humans can always become sick. Rayne thought to herself, pursing her lips together as her index finger gently ran across them in a gesture of thought, though her mouth soon curved into a sadistic smile as her mind continued. Such frail little things... Though they make such wondrous music when you pop off some of their little pieces!
........Hopefully Rina would arrive soon to keep Rayne from becoming bored.
