Light and nimble feet kicked off the ground without making a single sound. The dagger in the man’s hand was twirled and then held in a reverse grip as he lunged forward. The small yet powerful blade sliced through the creatures of shadow as the ninja dashed past. With eyes closed, the ninja merely sheathed his blade as the creature faded away. It was a simple task to slay these beasts, but their numbers were something to be wary of.
Shadow was a man that had accepted death. He chose to quit running away from it and chose to embrace it, but fate chose a different path for him. Fighting was always something that proved he was alive, it was that very struggle to live that prove this fact. Ever since he took the mantle of “Shadow” the man had abandoned everything before that time and chose to live unburdened by those times. He lived a life without emotions, but ever since he offered his skills to the Returners things had changed. Dreams of his past returned to assail him, and the one person that he abandoned returned into his life. The ninja had softened up, but the guilt of his past continued to eat away at him. He chose to die, to end it all and quit all the running he did. Perhaps it was to avoid that feeling of family he was slowly beginning to feel with those people, but he couldn’t let the emotional wall he built falter and once again he chose to run.
A deep breath was taken as he stood in the large alleyway of Traverse Town. The deep breath of air entering his lungs was another sign that he was alive. Ever since he was swept away by the darkness the ninja had been traversing through different numerous worlds looking for jobs and assignments, but in a way, this land was almost perfect for him. Traverse Town was home to those who were lost, something that the assassin truly was. No matter how much he waited for death to claim him, it just did not come. He anticipated death and now that it didn’t occur he truly did not know how to deal with it. How was he to deal with these feeling that tried to reawaken once more? He needed to discard these feeling just like he did when he left that girl. Interceptor was no longer by his side and he was alone. Before those feelings begun to awaken he needed to kill them once more. He needed to continue being the cold assassin just like he was before.
Killing these beings known as heartless was rather common for him. Killing these beasts seemed to be a great way to earn money and even then he killed them regardless. He is a man that lives through conflict and whether or not he is paid to do it he still sought out challenges. At the moment Shadow was merely on a mission to clear out the alleyways of the heartless that had begun appearing there frequently. With ease, Shadow had already begun to clear out the small and easy Shadow heartless, but the sudden sound of clanking signaled another fight. With dagged firmly gripped, Shadow stood in the middle of a ring of Soldier Heartless and with it the battle begun again as the assassin begun to cleave right through him.
