Her father and mother, both now passed away.
Personality:
It is difficult for Astrisia to bond with others. Both because it is difficult for her to actually trust people and because she worries herself about caring about people in general for fear of them ending up like her parents. As a result she tends to try and give a cold front to others to avoid feeling that pain again. Despite this their are certain triggers she can't help, such someone else trying to harm a defenseless being. In such a situation she would leap to the being"s defense, even at risk to herself. The same is not true of someone starting a fight by themselves.
Ever since her near death Astrisia has had a tendency to get absorbed in her search for power, as well as overly obsessing over things she believes to be able to help her achieve her goal. Though she can get absorbed in it as a result She can be brought to her senses a well timed interruption. It is difficult for the young girl to trust others, but those that do earn her trust tend to also get a fierce loyality out of her as a result. For those she does care about she will defend with all she can.
Much of her has been absorbed in her quest for vengence. As a result it tends to be a main focus in her mind much of the time. Though mature for her age Astrisia is by no means yet an adult. As a result she is still prone to the emotions that are present in most young children. She is quick to anger and rather impaintent making it rather easy to push her buttons and mess with her emotionally.
She also holds a disdain for the Rebellion, though she doesn't hate them personally she finds them less than effective at what she sees as their job-as a result holds little respect for it's members at face value, even less towards it's leaders, who she even plays part if the blame on for allowing the destruction to happen. Of course, the one she TRULY hates is the Emperor himself, along with his monsters and soldiers.
History:
Astrisia was born in the port town of Paloom. Much of her childhood was normal for someone like her. Paloom didn't openly act against the empire. As a result their wasn't a terrible need for them to trample over the town aside from the occasional soldiers using the ferry service. As a result her upbringing was like most others in the town, in her case she was raised by her father to take part in the ferrying business as he did. Otherwise much of her time went towards reading, or playing with the other children outside.
However, as the rebellion fought back against the empire it eventually unleashed a deadly weapon-the Dreadnought upon the world. Though the rebels would later destroy the monstrosity, they did not do so before it weaved terrible destruction upon several towns on the continent-Paloom included. Among the casulities was Astrisia's father whom died getting her and her mother to safety, but was unable to save himself.
After that it was just her and her mother. Though her mother tried to make Astrisia feel better the sting of losing her father refused to leave her heart. She refused to be so defenseless again, refused to let her mother come to harm as well. As a result she begged the local magic shop to teach her-and worked her butt off for lessons. So that she could defend her mother when danger came again.
Unfortunately fate had other plans.
The Rebels became such a thorn in the Emperor's side that he unleashed a measure to dispense them once and for all.... Alone with everything else that was in it's path, the Cyclone. It destroyed towns, one by one until it came to Paloom. Naturally the young mage sought to prevent ruin this time but... Any magic the local mage could teach her had no effect on the storm as a result she tried instead to simply protect her mother, follow in her father's footsteps and get her to safety.
But she failed.
No one could escape the Cyclone's grasp. The winds ripped everything apart. Her magic could not even scratch the howling winds as her mother And her were tossed asunder. All Astrisia could feel was anger, rage. She was mad at the rebelion for not even trying to help, but she did not hate them... The person she hated most. The one that ran through her mind as the winds lashed into her.
Was the Emperor.
She wanted to destroy him... She wanted to make him pay, no matter the cost. She would do anything! She watched her mother's breath leave her. The girl's rage was unquichable. She yelled to the heavens. Yelled for a chance to make him pay.
And then she woke up in darkness.
That was all that was around her, anywhere she looked. A man stood before her. Offering another chance. A chance to get the revenge her heart desired more than anything else. All she had to do was accept... Let that darkness in her out to fester. She could use it to get what she wanted.
Of course the answer was easy for her.
Not long after she woke up among the ruins of her home. She could only feel anger when she looked at it. And misery when she found her mother's body. The girl was the only one left, and forced to lay her mother to rest with her father. It wasn't long after the rebellion finally got around to 'finishing' off the Emperor. The girl couldn't rest though... The man's defeat was meaningless. Not once, but twice.
The girl wanted to make it happen. Wanted to make him pay... It's a thought that haunts and clouds the girl's mind even to the present day.

Why wearn't they back?
She eyed the town of Paloom. Since the fall of the Emperor the... Second time? They had begun rebuilding. People had come back to. Not everyone, but some both good... And bad. What bothered Astrisia was that her parents were not among those brought back. Kind people... If their were people who deserved a second chance it was her parents. Father saved her.. mother did nothing but care for others. Yet.. when monsters and villians were given life her parents had to remain in the ground.
What kind of cruelity was that? It made no sense to her. They were innocents. Kind people... Monsters and evils brought nothing but destruction. Yet rather than bring her parents back... It was the monsters and the people trying to rebuild her hometown.
Whatever caused this had a sick sense of humor.
She clenched her fists at her side in frustration. Why?! Why them! Why not her parents?! It just... It infuriated her. She wasn't .ad at the people of Paloom. She was happy for them but... She just couldn't understand the reasoning. Was this some sort of game? All the entertainment was gone so we had to reset the board? Then reset it proper! Give her another chance... Another chance...
A way to make things right
The young mage sighed. Sitting on a nearby by bench and thinking it over. If she couldn't get them back... All she could do was avenge them. Make the ones that hurt them pay, put them in the ground like they did her parents. She was tired of being weak! Tired of being hurt! Purple lighting flickered in her hand and she gave a weak smile. Yes... She was going to make this right... She would make them pay...
She would set things right.
