| Do You Remember?
We walked these paths together..
--♦♦♦-- Xion walked the ever-familiar streets of her beloved Twilight Town. It was like coming home, the sense of immediate peace and sanctuary she felt here. She hadn't yet visited here since awakening, not that she could recall.
Except for that dream... But was that really all it was? Just a dream?
She listened to the sounds of people, still quiet in the apparently early hour she had shown up at, but how was one really to tell the time of day? Aside from the enormous Clock Tower, that is. You couldn't tell time by the sunlight, as in other Worlds. No, here the sun remained at sunset, and the people seemed to simply accept it and go about their normal daily lives and routines. Though she could tell there had been others passing through here, it seemed that nobody and nothing were worse for wear or disturbed. Good. That was the way things should be; the people here left to their own lives, and not have anything chaotic or destructive touch them. This was a kind of sanctuary, after all, a reprieve from the busy noise and hurried schedules she had noticed on other Worlds. Though she supposed that each World's inhabitants would be used to their own way of life, and only those from other places would find their habits and routines strange.
Xion inhaled, breathing in the warm air that drifted around the heights and swept through sun-warmed streets. From her vantage point up on the Clock Tower ledge she would be able to see the whole layout of the town and its trams and train. The Clock Tower was her goal, in the end, but for now she was in no rush to get there. Taking it easy and just walking slowly, Xion mused over the dream she had had. It had been so real. Surely it couldn't just have been a dream; she and Roxas had talked. And she had remembered someone else important. Someone she had almost forgotten, but see could never really forget. They we either her heart, right? Hadn't someone said that, once? That as long as someone was in your heart, or part of it, they could never be truly forgotten. She had hoped that by visiting their long-time special place that she might actually find Roxas. Maybe...
"I guess there are stranger things than to believe you have a heart and that people can be in it.."
She mused aloud to herself, as it was more of thinking out loud than actually speaking to anyone in the vicinity; and she wasn't expecting an answer. She supposed that this would just be yet another inexplicable mystery.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Black Waltz 3 walked the unfamiliar roads of this... town, a package he carried over his shoulder. It was for a name he did not recognize in this... 'Twilight Town', a world so colorful and vibrant, it almost made the Waltz sick. Judging by how soft the people were here, how childish and, frankly, pathetic, the machine judged that their troubles were few. Nobody seemed ready for what could come, no guards... not even any notable authority as far as he could tell. Nobody to protect them if something were to... happen. It almost tempted him to see what kind of false heroes would crawl out of the woodwork if a spontaneous thunderbolt were to fall from the sky and shatter one of these seemingly fragile buildings, Which one of these people wouldn't go running and screaming from the fires and, instead, walk grimly into it. It was quite tempting... to break this sickly silence. Heh... Wouldn't that be a sight. Nobody would see the true culprit... He could just watch. Even now, his glowing yellow eyes flicked over various buildings, then across the soft humans that patrolled the streets... Which ones indeed would come to the aid of those trapped in a burning clock-tower...? Which ones would put their lives on the line for their fellow person...? None of them, he judged... They were all too soft... self-serving... After all... who knew what to do in these situations when all you ever seem to know is this... paradise? @tag
