Chip and Dale's Double Trouble Birthday Cup The town of Disney is all the rage on this day. Balloons are hanging from every available surface, and the entire town is nearly covered in either confetti, or devices to spray confetti. A special event was underway: Chip and Dale were given permission by Minnie to throw a huge tournament for everyone in the town. Because they were such a great pair, they wanted the tournament to show of the greatest two man teams in all the worlds. Now, here they sit behind a tiny announcer's table, with tiny microphones, jumping excitedly at the start of the tournament. Where there was once a gazebo, now stood a tile arena floor, very similar to Olympus Colliseum's arena. "Oh boy!"Yeah, Chippers, we got a great match for everyone!""Mhmm! First up is-"Posting Order: Ramza Beoulve, Alma, @crowe, @lea

Location: Disney Town Mood: Excited, Hopeful Status: Well Amidst his wanders, Ramza reached a colorful world populated by animals. Talking, walking, thinking animals. It took him a while to get used to the idea, but it was a pleasant enough place.
The Knight had reached the world in a fortuitous moment as well; a contest was going to happen, with prize money for the winners. What an opportunity! Fight for fun and profit was right up his alley. Lacking a partner, he signed up alone, leaving his fate for the goddess of luck to decide.
A few days later, however, when he checked the pairings, his heart skipped many beats.
Alma? Could it really be?! Oh, joyous occasion! His sister was well, and here! He barely paid attention to the other names. Excited beyond relief, Ramza rushed to the arena. The tournament became secondary in his mind; meeting his sister again was all that mattered. He prayed she would indeed come.

Alma wasn't entirely sure how she'd ended up in this situation. The past few days had been a blur of travels, introductions, planning and then suddenly this tournament was thrust upon her. 'An opportunity', it had been called. 'An excellent chance to hone one's skills and instincts'. The young conjurer was more eager than anyone else to improve her talents, but an outing like this was a bit too intimidating for her. All these people, from all different kinds of worlds, come together to compete for a money prize- There was no telling what kind of desperate people might try their hand, and how much stronger they might be than her. If she did come out on top, it would have to be a miracle, and one of her own making. That was kind of the intention, though, wasn't it? Her whole craft had quite a lot to do with 'miracles', anyway. And now she found herself stepping into the plaza-turned-arena, surrounded by a number of bystanders who didn't seem nearly as worried as they should, considering how close they were to the action. Wasn't there a danger of collateral damage? She'd seen the kind of magic that could be put into play in these new worlds, so it was easy to speculate why standing so close might not be the best idea. She concluded that, if they were so content, they probably had some measures in place to keep the viewers from getting hurt. Maybe it was one of those barriers, like she'd seen in... Where was that, again? There had been too many names and titles thrown at her recently for her to remember them all. She looked to the other end of the arena, where someone else had already entered. As expected, she didn't recognize him. Not one bit at all. It wasn't that surprising, since she'd only been told a general description of her intended ally. Meanwhile, her opponents had remained a complete mystery through the whole process. She had heard their names, at the very least, so this person was either Crowe or... Ramza, that was the other one. Whoever he was, he seemed strangely focused, as if he was searching the arena for something. Maybe someone he knew was in the crowd. It reminded her that there might be a familiar face watching her as well. That kind of pressure probably wouldn't help keep the stress off, but she'd still appreciate the sentiment in it. Alma gave a small wave to the first contestant from across the arena. Even if they were here to beat on each other with various blunt objects, who was to say they couldn't at least start on friendly terms? As friendly as one hand was, the other still held her crook in a firm grip. When the violence started, she'd be ready for it.

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Looking over the entrances, Crowe could only recognize one name as far as she could tell. One of the Prince's entourage, Prompto Argentum. Did this mean that Prince Noctis was on this world? She really needed to find Prompto after this match... She doubted he'd know who she was, considering she was merely one of the Glaives.
Lacking any kind of support as Crowe wound up onto these foreign worlds, she had decided to sign up without a partner. Looking at the name on the board, she didn't recognize it. As she had anticipated. A person named Ramza. With that knowledge, she checked the names of the opponents, an Alma and a Lea.
Well then, Crowe turned and moved to head for the match as she had been called to enter. There she would see what kind of people her comrade and her opponents were. It appeared to her that a man was rushing up to the ring, it seemed to her that this man was excited about something and she was curious as she followed and entered the stage in a calmer motion. From the appearance, this man was searching for someone? She focused on the other side of the ring, figuring the man was Ramza as the announcers called his and her names. Then the opponents' names were called as she already saw that a girl in white garb had arrived.
From what she understood, this girl was Alma, then all that remained was Lea. Looking at the other on her side again, she spoke up: "excited? I hope you are prepared," she smiled and readied herself as she waited for the last figure to enter the stage.

Lea about ran right up to the other tournament participants the moment his name was finally called. His eyes were practically glowing in his excitement. It was about time he got a chance to show off all his recent training! Maybe he'd even get ballsy enough to use the keyblade instead of the chakrams that were quite honestly still his comfort zone in a nutshell. He'd come such a long way. Either way he was sure he'd impress so of course he was cocky as ever.
After he sidled up to the young woman in the white robe that he was evidently paired with, he took a moment to get a good look at his admittedly intimidating looking opponents. Hrm. He turned his attention then to his partner and shot her a suave smile. "Hi there." he greeted her confidently with a small single wave of his gloved hand. He sincerely hoped that she could handle a little heat.
Greetings and friggin salutations apparently out of the way, Lea waited for instruction taking a few paces back, his face illuminated with his eagerness.

Location: Disney Town Mood: Saddened, Determined Status: Well Ramza could not hide his disappointment as Alma was called. She was blond like his sister and, from the clothes, she even seemed to me a White Mage (was she from Ivalice as well?), much like his sister, who never became a formal mage, yet had great proficiency with the healing arts. She even had the same aura of his sister, that sort of naive purity that suppresses violent urges. And yet, she was most definetly not his sister. She took a moment to answer her greeting, and did so with a hasty bow. A few seconds later he became aware of his own rudeness; he would apologize after the match. Next came his partner, also a woman - something he had not deduced from the name. That woman, however, was clearly a fighter, and an experienced one. As she spoke with him, he responded "I feel... A bit distraught. Personal reasons, I'll explain myself after the match. I'm sorry for this. But I'm honored, Milady, to be thy partner. Let us emerge victorious!" He did his best to cheer himself up. Readying his blade, he awaited for the last challenger, a red-haired man with a relaxed demeanor. He didn't seem very disciplined, but his eyes glittened with a sharpness that can make a cunning fighter. And Ramza had been on enough battlefields to learn the power of a fighter backed by a White Mage, although said advantage was minimized in a more personal melee such as this one. "Lady Crowe" he called. "I believe the priority must be to take down the White Mage" He said, pointing to his not-sister, Alma. "I'll entrust thee with this task; it is not becoming of a gentleman to attack a lady. I'll keep the man at bay while you do so. Agreed?" He didn't really wait for the answer. He knew he wouldn't be able to attack Alma; she did have too much of his sister in her to be able to fight optimally. And, besides, Ramza would feel awful attacking any female, even moreso an unprotected mage. Perhaps it was dirty to pass the job to someone else... But she had a feeling lady Crowe would have less of a quarrel with the situation than he did. This was about optimizing the distribution of power.
With a quick hand gesture, Ramza casted Tailwind on Crowe, increasing her agility, allowing her to close the gap between herself and Alma with ease. He also Shouted, increasing his own speed and strenght, making him the fiersome slayer of demons, the Knight of Ivalice. With a battlecry, he rushed towards Axel, running with superhuman speed, his blade ready to defend himself as he approached. The man used a weird weapon Ramza had not really seem before, a metallic circle with spikes. A ranged weapon, perhaps? Ramza was on the lookout. If he did manage to reach the adversary, he would unleash a barrage of slashes, testing his adversary's might in melee combat. Tailwind on Crowe: 3 more turns Shout on Ramza: 3 more turns
Tailwind's cooldown: 1 more turn Shout's cooldown: 3 more turns
Summary: Ramza buffs Crowe and self, runs towards Axel and, if reaching melee range, unleashes a combo of slashing attacks. ✿ EDEL ✿

The second member of the opposing team entered, and Alma was reminded once more that there were people here much more prepared to fight than she was. Both of these people had what looked like more-than-serviceable uniforms for combat, especially that woman. All that sturdy looking leather would probably soak up a punch easily enough, right? It looked... tough. Tougher than her own coat, at least. The padded lining could keep out the occasional scratch, but this kind of garb couldn't deflect a sword like what the other guy had. It didn't end there, either. The aforementioned sword could probably do a lot more than her staff could, if it came down to melee, and while she couldn't see any weapons on the other it wasn't hard to imagine something hidden on her person. Someone with that gear wouldn't come to this kind of event truly unarmed, would they? Alma could cast magic, but even she needed something to channel it with. Usually. It helped, at least.
Come to think of it, where was her teammate? When the young conjurer looked around, she saw that someone had arrived in her corner as well. Just to her right was where he stood, a tall, lanky sort who wore a thoroughly covering black trench coat. It was mostly pretty simple, save for a set of rather simple adornments at the collar, and it didn't look reinforced in any way. Yet, ignoring his lack of arms or armor, his green eyes had a kind of spark in them. Alma had seen such a spark recently enough, so she knew full well what it meant: This man was here for the violence, and he'd probably contribute the most to it. "Hi there." He didn't introduce himself, give any orders or even discuss anything about the match. It was a simple greeting, and nothing more, though Alma knew nothing else was really necessary. They knew each other's names from the roster (In theory, at least- Alma couldn't quite make out all of the handwriting in the time they had to prepare, so she only got a chance to read their opponents' names) and she'd already gotten the gist of what he was here to accomplish. Just the attitude he carried with himself was more of an introduction than anyone really needed. "Hi..." she replied a bit more flatly than she intended. Everyone here was intimidating in their own way, so she wasn't in that verbose of a mood, but at least she could have some relief in that one of them was on her side in this. He even stepped back a bit. She quietly hoped that wasn't a silent passing of command, because she was not prepared to take the role of leader in this scenario.
Then, Alma heard someone shouting and turned back to the other team. To her surprise, they were already on the move! She panicked. Wasn't that a bit too soon? She was pretty sure there was supposed to be some more ceremony around all this? Apparently not, she concluded, as she did the first thing that came to mind: Throw something! Specifically, she thrust her staff forward, urging a loose paving stone to fly forward from the ground toward the approaching party. It didn't even matter to her who it was headed toward, so long as someone other than her was at risk.
She stepped backward with her left leg, crossed her staff arm over her chest, then stepped further with her other foot and swung to the right, willing the wind to move. A broad circle of spinning air and dust formed around her, the sharp gusts ready to lash out at whatever enemies came too close. She hadn't figured out whether she was a target of either one, but it wasn't something she'd take the time to find out if she could spend that time to get set up instead. Instead of defend herself, however, she turned to her ally again, readying a reliable spell of hers that she figured could help them against the swordsman they were clearly pit against. She just had to concentrate long enough to get it out, and...

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Crowe nodded as the man responded. From the sounds of it, this Ramza sounded a bit like a knight. In earnest, she had not really have any expectations or anticipations from what she could've expected from what would show up at this tournament. The entire deal with different worlds was already strange. Let alone the odd beings she had come across. Looking over her partner and then over the two opponents, they were at least all humans from what she could tell. Even if their race would be called differently, they at least had the appearance of a human and she was glad to not be fighting some dragon race or perhaps even more freaky in appearance. Such things made her think of daemons and Crowe wasn't entirely sure if she'd keep them intact. Too much happened and this tournament was... far away from home. “A pleasure,” she answered, slightly late and listened as he came with a strategy. Her task was to take out the girl it appeared, Ramza was quite the gentleman, she chuckled but nodded. “Sounds like a good plan,” she answered while looking at the red-haired man, his weapons weren't exactly common, “let's do this.” As Ramza cast his spell, Crowe did a simular one as she used enhancement magic upon Ramza to increase his physical attack power with Attack Code. Then she enhanced herself with Spirit Code considering she seemed to be up against a mage, enhancing her own magical defense. From there she clenched her dagger in hand and moved forward towards Alma before a paving stone got loose and sent at her. Bringing up her arms, she took the hit from the stone. Seeing the odd field of winds, Crowe conjured up a ball of flame with Firaga and launched it at Alma to see if the field of gusts and wind would halt her spell. She at least didn't plan to just jump into the field as seemed to be dangerous.
Active Attack Code on Ramza: Three posts. Spirit Code on Crowe: Three posts. Cooldown Attack Code: Four posts. Spirit Code: Four posts. Firaga: Three posts.

There was a small hint of a pout from Lea as his partner returned his greeting in a pretty flat manner. "Eesh. Lighten up." he advised with a tilt of his head and a disappointed tone. See, he'd been backing up hoping that his partner would follow to avoid precisely what their opponents were doing. Was that uptight blonde guy seriously standing around talking about them? Lea could barely make out what he was saying. All he knew was that underestimating him would be a terrible mistake. That's alright. They'd get it memorized.
At the very least, Lea could tell just by looking at the both of his opponents, he out limbered them by far. He'd probably have to protect Alma. His opponents were on the move and he started a bit in surprise. Woa! They didn't announce the match's start or whatever first? Quite suddenly the blonde guy barked out something and before Lea could stop himself he'd straightened to attention. What in the heck was he doing?!
The other warrior on the opponent's team began a threatening move of some kind and they were definitely looking at Alma. Even Alma began to fight, throwing a stone and whipping up gusts of wind. He'd have guessed she was a caster anyway. She also looked at him and he felt something kinda tingly. Feeling strangely thick skinned, he crossed his arms in front of him, his chakram appearing in either hand small licking embers appearing at it's sharp edges. Speed would just have to be his savior and Alma's too. They didn't call him 'Flurry of the Dancing Flames' for nothin!
Lea sped forward to meet the ball of flame that came hurtling toward Alma intending to take the hit instead. It was a pretty powerful fireball but it would hurt him a lot less than it might hurt Alma. Over his shoulder he shot his partner a wild look. "Can you fly or levitate or anything?"
He turned his attention in front of him then focused on whoever would be stupid enough to try rushing at them. "GET BACK!" He yelled, his long limber arms outward in front of him. The chakram spun together like a powerful wheel and a vicious plume of flame was propelled outward. Let that be a warning to anyone trying to get too close to him or to his partner! Just as the flame cleared, he held up his chakrams in front of him to protect him from anything that might have managed to get too close.

Location: Disney Town Mood: Determined Status: Well Ramza saw Alma bring up a boulder from the floor and throw it towards Crowe. If there was one thing Ramza learned over the years was to evaluate people's merit, and his trained eye saw tons of merit on Crowe's. He trusted her to handle that attack, and pressed onwards; the priority right now was to reach close-ranged combat against the foes. If he did that, Ramza would be in an advantage, especially after being empowered by Crowe's own spell. He was quickly realizing that this hastly thrown-together team was a much better fit than he imagined at first. Suddenly, a fireball crossed his view to the left, rushing towards the enemy white mage. A spell from Crowe, he deduced. However, his own target jumped to the left, with outstanding agility. He took the fireball head-on, and seemed barely fazed by it. That sort of mental fortitude against magic, in Ivalice, was mostly seen amongst those of little faith. Ramza had no time, however, to ponder the religious inclinations of the man. The Beoulve himself took advantage of the time of the fireblast to correct his course, running 45º to the left. He needed to move the man away from Alma, so Crowe could take her down freely. The was close to reaching them when the man straightened himself and shouted against the Beoulve, warning against advances. Ramza merely readied his blade in response; he would back down to no man! The opponent, however, had bite to back up his bark. He threw the chackram straight against Ramza; the Knight, however, was expecting that. When the metallic disk came close, he Rushed upwards, defying gravity with a dash; the chackram hit the air that he occupied seconds ago. Ramza did not lose any time, leaving a trail of flames that heatened Ramza's back, but missed the Knight; he Rushed again, taking advantage of his outstanding mobility skill to finally close in on the adversaries, spinning mid-air to straighten himself for the upcoming attack he would give, emerging through the dissipating flames from the last attack. "For Ivalice!" He screamed, as he used his Triple Break skill against the redheaded enemy, a unique blend of three Knight skills that Ramza learned with much effort over his journey; three furious strikes, each one carrying the full weight of his frustrations, each one scarring not only flesh, but also soul, robbing the redheaded fighter from his Defense, Strenght and Speed - providing, of course, that they hit their target. Tailwind on Crowe: 2 more turns Shout on Ramza: 2 more turns
Shout's cooldown: 2 more turns
Summary: Ramza closes on on Lea and Alma, dodging Lea's attack by taking advantage of Rush's maneuverability. He then uses Triple Break, for Medium damage + Defense, Strenght and Speed debuff if connecting. ✿ EDEL ✿

Alma's spell was able to go through, thanks to her partner's initiative in blocking the incoming fireball with... What were those? And for that matter, when did he get them? There was no way they could've been concealed in that slim of an outfit, and she hadn't seem them before, so it stood to reason that they were probably conjured. His next actions did well to confirm that he had access to some powerful magics of his own, wreathing the metal discs in flame to make a spinning wall of pain for anyone hasty enough to blindly run in. She didn't see the results, but she trusted they were better than what would have been if he had just stood aside. Alma didn't have a clear line of sight to what was in front of him, including the knight dodging under his attack and parrying them from below so he could meet her ally in melee. She just had to trust that, if such a thing did happen, her solidifying magics would lessen the incoming barrage of sword swipes.
In light of the hit he just took, though, she took the chance to ease the minimal wounds with a healing spell. It came late enough to help compensate for additional incoming damage, though it wasn't quite potent enough to restore any serious hurts. In theory, it should help keep him refreshed when trouble came- And come it did, when Ramza stepped up as he had, and though he had safely passed Lea's barrage he was stepping into a danger zone no clever parry could dispel: The circle of sharp winds which grew agitated to cut and slash at him. Though Alma was a slow-going and even merciful sort, the same couldn't be said for that particular spell, as the winds were vicious when set loose upon a trespasser.
The question of what she could do was one which, unfortunately, Alma had a bit of trouble answering. She took into account that, as varied as her arsenal may be, she'd already shown most of her tricks, and a lot of it centered around scaring off rats more than countering a trained mage- which the other team obviously had at the ready, judging by the fireball that had shot toward her earlier. Her teammate seemed powerful enough to give a fellow melee fighter trouble as well. Could neither of them counter a mage? There was one way to go about it she hadn't considered before, but it was a really dumb idea. The only reason she was even alive at the moment was because she never entertained it until now, and yet it seemed her preferred approach was precisely how this other team could overtake them. No, the passive play just wouldn't cut it against a team of thinkers.
"Try to find their mage," Alma suggested, not quite having figured out which opponent was filling what role thus far. "Use the winds as cover, and I'll keep them going." Though she didn't see much, she could already feel that someone had ventured too close. The wind was whirling around three bodies, and one was being harassed by it. If she made sure the winds kept up, any melee fighters could be worn down in a test of endurance- She couldn't beat them, so she'd time them out. The only issue was that mage, someone who could just ignore her field ability and kite around without an issue. That was their real target, and Alma was already gathering a plan to deal with it. The first step was another spell, wherein she drew her hand along the head of her crook, conjuring a white blade which spanned from the knot. Now, where would she point it..?

◄ HAVEN'T YOU HEARD WHAT BECOMES OF CURIOUS MINDS? Not at all what she had anticipated, the red-haired man jumped in front of her spell and took the full hit. Watching him come barely touched from the attack, Crowe was a little surprised, but noted that her partner was already rushing forward and was attacked by Lea. Seeing Ramza move forward, she felt she shouldn't daddies as she was moving once more. Rather than coming to Ramza's aid, she chose to continue to initial plan to attack the Mage as she started to try and circle around the strange field she had surrounding her. While she moved, she activated Magic Code to enhance her magic even further before a ball of electricity appeared in her hand. She honestly hoped the field wouldn't stop magic, otherwise she had currently no way of dealing with the Mage. Throwing the Thundaga towards Alma, Crowe continued to circle around the field before coming to a stop before she would reach the other end of the ring. There she prepared herself to either leap into the field or throw even more spells forward, whichever seemed the best option depending on what the spell she just threw did. The Lightning spell would burst and send out sparks all around the area where it would hit if Alma were to dodge it, making it still possibly to hit her target even if they avoided the spell itself.

‘Try to find their mage.’ Alma’s words just behind him sounded more like they were being spoken directly into his friggen head. There was a lot of movement and a lot to try to look for. It was hard to focus on anything now because…CLANG! One powerful strike knocked back his left hand and the chakram that guarded him. CHING! One more knocked back his right arm which he’d desperately braced to attempt to guard his body. CHUFF! That last strike cracked pretty friggen hard against his ribs but something almost like he’d been wearing a glass body glove or something fizzed to life signaling its hand in saving the red head from what was obviously supposed to hurt pretty badly. Instead it just…well it did hurt that was for sure. ”Well I’m gonna go ahead and guess that it probably isn’t this guy!” Lea hollered over his shoulder before fixing the blonde guy with the hard hits a fiery glare.
Where was that other one though? Had she circled all the way around? Why was she avoiding him? Why was she going after Alma. Honestly it was just hard to see anything through the whipping winds and he was pretty sure that most of his fire attacks would end up somewhere other than where he intended to go…then again…that might not be a bad thing. Unpredictability didn’t seem like something the other team would know what to do with. Given that this knight guy seemed pretty set on beating the crap out of him, Lea decided it best to Sizzle on out of that situation, his lanky form darting so fast around the knight that it was almost like he’d been a teleporting blur. ”What’s the problem?” Lea taunted from a different direction.
”Name’s ‘Lea’ but people who fight me call me ‘Flurry…” He’d begun his dance… ”’of dancing flames.’” Lea fluidly adjusted himself, leaping backward to dodge the next attack that might have found its unfortunate way toward the air that was once where he was standing. ”And with good reason!” he called from the bit of distance he’d attempted to put between himself and opposed before he slammed his chakram on the ground sending column after column of flame upward with rapid speed from the ground below the knight’s feet. ”Got it memorized?” he taunted with a devilish smirk. If the knight turned with Lea’s movements then Alma was standing right behind him, wide friggen open. That was precisely why Lea was taunting him. He’d make his way back around to the cover of the wind storm she’d made. Alma would be okay…for a bit…he hoped.

Location: Disney Town Mood: Determined Status: Mild Injuries Ramza's biases underestimated Alma's power. She looked like a White Mage, she acted like a White Mage... But she wasn't one, at least not like the ones in Ivalice. The Knight gave little importance to the whirling winds, confident that it was a protective spell. It wasn't. He learned quickly as his tunic started tearing here and there, as well as his skin. The pain wasn't immense, but it was enough to disturb - death by a thousand cuts, rather than by one stab to the chest. Still, adrenaline managed to keep him on track as he unleashed his Triple Break, which landed admirably. And yet, as the blade made contact with flesh, it didn't tear nearly as much as Ramza expected. Sure, he was pulling his punches - he didn't want to kill Lea, neither was he trying to - but still. He quickly pieced it together: Some sort of protective spell from Alma increased Lea's resistance. Clever girl. Worst yet, she healed his ally, which meant Ramza's efforts came with little gain and signifficant cost. He was at a disadvantage. Still, he kept focused on the plan - if Alma was wasting time helping Lea, she wouldn't be able to properly defend herself from the flurry of spells Crowe was sending their way. Ramza was a decoy, a red herring, for the true damage dealer of the team. And if his flesh and bone needed to pay the price for that distraction, so be it. If Crowe took down Alma, Lea would be a much easier target. And it also meant he wouldn't need to hurt Alma. Ramza was not sure he could bring himself to do it. Despite the winds, Ramza decided to not back down - he needed to keep the pressure going, or his strategy wouldn't function. He quickly striked against Lea once more - only to be tricked by his own evasive skill. Ramza stumbled forward as his blade hit nothing, while the redheaded fighter himself moved to Ramza's back in one odd, expectations-defying move. One second later, Ramza turned - and, fortunately, Lea decided to gain distance with a back leap instead of attacking back. Had he struck immediately, Ramza would have had no chance to protect himself. As it stood, however, when Lea used his pillar of flame, Ramza was ready thanks to his increased capabilities resulting from his Shout skill. When the flames came close enough, Ramza Rushed to the right, vanishing from their path in an instant, moving a few meters in that direction. He was dismayed to find out, however, that the whirlwind of sharp wind did not vanish when he left the original area - the spell followed him around, wearing his stamina. He would simply have to bear it, he supposed. Ramza was also no fool; he knew that Lea was trying to leave him with his back turned to Alma. And, in a sense, he succeeded, although Ramza was positioned a bit to the right, forming a triangle between the three, rather than a straight line. That would be the perfect position to strike the nimble White Mage; even with the protective winds, Ramza could close in and blast her with Chihijiraden or something similar. He quickly glanced to the left, at her, considering that line of action. The blonde hair. He couldn't do it. At least Lea was now far away from the winds that Alma had conjured. Although he had managed to gain a precious distance, which effectively halted Ramza's blitz, if the Knight could close the gap again, he would be able to pressure him without direct interference of Alma. "Crowe, keep the pressure going! Don't let her interfere! And don't worry about me!" He ordered, readying his blade and running torwards Lea. She seemed to be doing so already, but he wanted to reassure her that he was fine so far. Any spell not cast in Alma's direction was a spell wasted. Meanwhile, he continued to close in to Lea. While he did so, he grabbed one rock from his pocket. Lea seemed to be some sort of hybrid fighter, good at a distance and good up-close, but not great at either. Ramza would be on the lookout as he runned; if Lea even hinted at attacking, Ramza would Throw a Rock at him, boosted with a small magick. The damage would be minimal, but his idea was not damage, but harassment - try to interrupt any skill the redheaded warrior casted in the seconds it would take for Ramza, speed buffed by Shout, to close in. Ramza just needed to stop him for a few instants to be able to go on the offensive again. Since the man introduced himself, Ramza felt compelled to do the same as he runned. "I am Ramza Beoulve! Son of Barbaneth... Brother of Alma Beoulve!" He felt the need to add, with a hint of sadness, maybe to explain his awkwardness. "Slayer of demons and vanquisher of the Lucavi! I fight... for Ivalice!"
Tailwind on Crowe (Speed Up): 1 more turns Shout on Ramza (Speed Up, Strenght Up): 1 more turns
Lea's STRENGHT down (from Triple Break): 2 more turns Lea's DEFENSE down (From Triple Break): 2 more turns Lea's SPEED down (From Triple Break): 2 more turns
Shout's cooldown: 1 more turns Triple Break's Cooldown: 4 More Turns
Summary: Ramza attacked Lea, but he dodged it with Sizzle (Action 1) Ramza dodge's Lea's attack with Rush (Action 2). Runs against Lea, getting Rock Throw ready; will throw a rock at Lea to interrupt his first offensive action next turn (Action 3) and allowing Ramza to close in, hopefully. Ramza is hoping Alma will not be able to attack him as she deals with Crowe's offensive.
SKILLS USED
*Rush: Exactly what it says - Ramza rushes towards the enemy (Or towards any direction) with a dash. Its main asset is mobility, allowing Ramza do defy gravity for an instant. [Three uses per post, CD:0].
*Stone Throw: Ramza's only ranged option (besides Ultima) is quite lackluster - he throws rocks that he carries with him. The strenght and speed of the projectile is boosted with some minor magic and they do damage, but not much - main use is for harassing and distraction. Minimal damage. [Three uses per post, CD:0]
EDIT: Needed to do a quick edit in the post because I realized I made 4 actions by accident. Sorry for that. I removed the stab at Lea at the end of the post, thus ending Ramza's turn in the effort to approach him, and hopefully be able to attack next turn. ✿ EDEL ✿

Much like she expected him to do, Lea soon left the nearby space to zip around to the other side of the intruder, perhaps at an inopportune moment, as a straight sword was actively swinging through the space he'd just occupied. The follow through nearly sent the blade into Alma's shoulder, and she froze in the slowly-moving moment while her mind processed the danger. Thankfully, she was still slightly beyond the weapon's range, causing it to whip harmlessly through empty air as her sense of time returned to normal. Had she been but a pace closer, could that one dodge have gotten them a loss? More than that, it was a sharpened weapon in those hands! She wanted nothing to do with that severe of a wound, regardless of whether the combat here was just a contest. Her silent panic may have gotten her wounded anyway if the attacker didn't appear to be occupied, turning away in an instant when he could have spent it to cut her down. But where was he going? Her tactical mindset returned to its rightful place, overwriting her fear of the previous moment, and she thought of what his objective was.
Then, as the winds around her faded and a clarity came to her, she realized what it must have been. It was probably obvious to this other team that Lea was the greater threat, so it was a matter of priority after all. If they overwhelmed him with their spells and grapples, then he couldn't really focus, and he'd be an easy knock-out from there. At least, that was likely their theory. Alma didn't have any evidence of what he was capable of, but he was an open powerhouse from the start. Targeting him would be the first tactic to come to mind, wouldn't it? She already knew how she could support him, even before the knight started to move again. The winds around her had calmed, so it was time for her to rile them up again. Instead of placing them at her feet, however, she swung her crook forward, provoking the air from afar- The air between the squire and his target. As a circle of dust began to spin and howl in his path, however, Alma heard him give an incriminating order, to 'keep the pressure going' and not 'worry about him'.
Time slowed again. To leave him be would mean letting up the pressure, and doing that meant abandoning the plan, but he spoke as if that was the plan, so if the plan wasn't the plan, then...
There was a crackling. The cold air grew hot to her left, and she turned to see what had changed it.
What was the plan?
She saw it. Flung through the air, soaring toward her at an uncomfortably slow speed in this too-long moment, was a blue ball of fierce lightning that looked ready to explode. Judging from how much she lingered on the image and her new conclusion, Alma was sure it already had. I'm the target. The thought had barely graced her mind when the orb hit her, bursting apart immediately and sending arcs around her from her shoulder. What she felt was a stinging, burning pain that ran through her not just in the first moment, but back through and through once more in the moments to follow. It was a prolonged experience, sapping her of her strength as the sparks flew. As unaccustomed to such a pain as she was, the young conjurer nearly fainted near the end of it, with her limbs seizing and raising above her head, almost dropping that precious wooden catalyst.
...But she wouldn't let that be. Her empty hand met the other, and they grasped tightly the glowing crook before slamming it down to the ground where she knelt. It was the same moment in which the sparks dispersed, and finally she had a moment of calm to kneel down and recover her senses. She had to remind herself, force herself to raise the staff again, tapping it weakly against the pavement to conjur an aetherial wreath above her head, shining down with a healing light that soothed and rejuvenated her. It was a version of Cure she hadn't really needed yet, but this was a situation in which such things would have to be deemed necessary. After what had happened thus far, as little as it was, she was struck with a motivation she hadn't felt before, especially not in such a competitive scene.
She stood, still shaking, but her unsteady movements weren't from the pain anymore. Now, it was from the adrenaline in her, and the need to move, and move more, and when she looked up and saw the person who'd thrown the spell to her, she wanted to run forward and... Well, she didn't quite know what, but she wanted to do something about it. There was such a feeling brought up in her by the strike of lightning that she kind of wanted to do everything! To not just show up the person who'd outmaneuvered her, but to win the tourney, cure a few diseases and maybe conquer the world too, there was so much energy in her now. More than anything else, though, she was ready to hit someone, and she took up her crook not as a catalyst, but as a hammer of war, still with that shining blade readied at its head. With eyes locked on the leather-clad mage, and not a word yet spoken, she sprinted forward, running at full speed with a mind set on bludgeoning. She was convinced earlier of her first conclusion, but it had been proven so terribly wrong that now it was her duty to make sure she didn't become an easy 'step one' for this other team.
