-Struggle Battle Mechanics-
Struggle matches are one on one battles. There will be a total of three rounds. If the third round is ended with the same amount of ORBS, there will be a sudden death round.
Characters have fifteen ORBS. ORBS are synonymous with ‘Life Points’ or ‘HP.’ In the case of a Struggle Battle 0 ORBS does not amount to an automatic loss because there are opportunities to replenish ORBS.
Characters get six actions per turn. You can flavor your character’s motions and ways of carrying out these actions as much as you’d like but ultimately only the first six actions will be accepted. Your options for these six actions for a struggle battle are as follows:
STRIKE: Drops five ORBS from your opponent but leaves you open to a PARRY or a STRIKE.
GUARD: Negates up to five ORBS from being dropped if you are struck while guarding. Does nothing if you are not struck.
PARRY: If attacked, it negates up to three ORBS from being dropped but also drops up to two of your opponents ORBS. PARRY does nothing if you are not struck.
COLLECT: You pick up dropped ORBS that are on the field. Up to 8 of them but are left open to a STRIKE.
Per round each player will submit via pm to the person running the match (the referee) their six selected actions in this format:
Ex…
[Mickey STRIKES]
[Mickey PARRYS]
[Mickey STRIKES]
[Mickey COLLECTS]
[Mickey GUARDS]
[Mickey COLLECTS]
[Mickey STRIKES]
[Mickey PARRYS]
[Mickey STRIKES]
[Mickey COLLECTS]
[Mickey GUARDS]
[Mickey COLLECTS]
Once the ‘referee’ has had both pms submitted they will reply to both strugglers that the actions are ‘locked in’ and who is up in rotation first. That person will then have a given amount of time to put their actual post in the struggle battle thread. The first person to have sent their chosen actions posts first. They are not made aware of the other players actions before the post is made. Once both players have their posts up in the match, the referee will post with each players current amount of ORBS and give permission to submit the next set of actions.
