Sputtering, Locke pulled himself onto the rocks. The water was cold and the weather wasn't helping. Rain was falling while thunder sounded through the skies. The ship he had been on had gone down, Locke hadn't exactly been able to keep it in check, he wasn't exactly familiar with how ships worked to begin with, so had chosen to jump offboard when the ship started to go down. Luckily he had reached shore nearby.
Looking over the rocks and at the mountain, the treasure hunter had preferred landing somewhere with trees and plants instead of rocks. He could see a cave entrance as he drabbed himself further. There went pain through his body, but the man forced himself up to his feet. "Dammit!" not his finest moments. As quick as he could, he moved forward and went for the cave to get some cover from the thunderstorm. Hopefully this disaster wouldn't last too long. Honestly, he felt he should consider this just another adventure. One that came out of the blue, but hey! Maybe he could even find some treasures.
Once he got to the cave, Locke looked around nearby until he moved towards some large rock he could pull himself to, taking a seat. Looking outside again, he shook his head. "Rest first," he said to himself, figuring he'd be able to think straight once he sat for a bit to recollect his thoughts. He had popped onboard a ship... somehow... and then the storm happened, the ship went down and he got to shore. Honestly, he wondered where in the world he was, the world had perhaps been warped a bit, but most locations should still be there.
Some excitement returned to his face. It'd interest the treasure hunter well if he had just landed on some place that hadn't been to in quite a while. That meant a treasure hunt, but right now he just wanted to dry a little there, stay near the entrance in case others came through the storm. Looking further inside, the cave seemed to go much deeper. Where am I? he wondered what town would be closest to here. If there were even any on this... land. He was uncertain if this was the main land at all. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!

[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Ravus had been on this island for an hour now. He had landed here with his ship, but due to the storm coming up, he couldn't continue his flight. He almost crashed into the island because of it, so of course he would rather not get back to it right now. He had found a cave and looked around a little in it, taking shelter from the terrible storm. From where he was, he had a view on the ocean and his eyes could make out the shadow of a ship sinking in the distance. Poor souls.. they had no chance. There was nothing the royal could do right now so he just stayed in the cave, walking deeper inside to investigate. He had seen some rather interesting.. decoration at the walls. Usually people would turn around and leave immediately after finding some skulls on the ground and hanging from the cave's walls with paint on them that seemed to be for some kind of ritual or any other spiritual thing. Thanks to Niflheim however, Ravus was completely giving it a cold shoulder, seeming interested in some paintings however on the wall. It seemed like this place.. had some kind of purpose to the locals of this island, where ever they are now. His thoughts were interrupted however, when he heard something coming from the entrance of the cave, his eyes moving to the light in the distance that slightly illuminate the part he was in right now. A person had entered the cave... could it be.. one of the locals? Carefully, Ravus turned back to the entrance fully, stepping closer to it to see a person sitting there, completely wet and exhausted how it seemed. Ravus blinked... could it be a survivor of the ship that sank not long ago? It would make sense, seeing that he looked like someone that fitted on a ship. He stepped closer until he could be seen better by the young man. “An other poor soul that has been guided here by bad luck... or in your case, more than just luck. I assume you are from the ship?”His magitec arm pointed at the ocean, where the ship was just being dragged down by the storm. The royal took a few steps closer to the man, kneeling down to get on his eyelevel. “Are you wounded?”

Tilting his head sideways and back, Locke tried to see if his bandana's caught too much water as he had a hand to his head. Slowly he removed the bandana's and tried to wring them when a voice alerting him of another presence. Looking up, Locke watched the other carefully. "Kind of, and no, not hurt too bad at least," he replied before going back to his wringing and getting the bandana's back around his head. "I was on it, but couldn't manage the ship on my own. There was nobody else there for some odd reason," he explained, still uncertain what that was about.
With the man closer. "Are you from here?" Locke asked with a concerned look at the man, he looked like some official or something, perhaps an advisor, chancellor, or something. Much like he had seen in Edgar's court. Definitely the look of a high-ranking individual. If the man was part of the Gestahlian Empire, he didn't really want much to do with him. Even if Kefka caused the empire to be shattered much like the land itself. Considering he had asked on his state, did he by chance have a potion? The treasure hunter was capable of a healing spell in anything.
Rethinking his question, Locke went on: "Actually, never mind that, where exactly did I end up at? What town is closest by?" he had an accurate memory of the world and locations, so he doubted he'd get lost once he got his bearings. Where the man was from was of little value in this regard. Still, the 'who' could have value. "I'm Locke," he suspected the man might even recognize the name, but he wasn't entirely sure how well those things spread in the world, especially after all he had done. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!

[attr="class","parmcontent"] [attr="class","parmtitle"]The protector [attr="class","parmesan"] Well, hearing the other was not hurt to much was good news to the other. He wouldn't have to spare a potion and that meant he had more for himself should things turn ugly. The man tilted his head slightly to the side when Locke started to inform him about what had gone down on the ship. He had somehow found himself on a ship alone? That.. that was very strange. Was the other lying to him? No.. it didn’t seem that way. Than the other really must be cursed with some kind of strange luck or something? Ravus shook his head, getting up again when he saw that the other didn’t need his aid most likely. He turned his back to the man, taking an other look around to make sure they really were alone and that wasn’t some kind of trick. He didn’t really have time to answer the other’s question when he seemed to not need the answer after all, the royal looking over his shoulder with that usual neutral expression he wore around strangers. “I am not aware of any town on this island. We are most likely stranded.”, he answered to the other, pulling an device out of his pocket and checking if it was still functional. “My ship has been caught by the storm and until it is gone, I won’t be able to leave this place. It seems we are both stuck here for now. I have not seen anyone except you till now.”Ravus gave the other a small nod before he attached the device on his torso, a light flicking on finally that would help Ravus take a better look at his surroundings in this cave. “Well, Locke, unless you want to try your luck outside, we are both most likely bound to this hole. You have two options, I presume. One, stay here at the exit and wait for the blasted storm to stop. Two, come with me and see if we can find anything here that might help us in our situation. Your choice.”With that said, he walked back, deeper into the cave he had investigated before. “Also, my Name is Ravus. Ravus nox Fleuret.”

His explanation on how there was nobody for “some odd reason” seemed like a bad way to start this companionship. Perhaps he had hit his head harder than he thought, Locke wondered if he needed to clear that up a bit better, but considering how the world was as it was, he deemed it was bad enough as things were. Instead, he focused on his current situation and what better way then to start with some old joy. Then again, perhaps the others were in a bad situation as well. This all didn't really help too much. He needed to get his mind back to the present situation.
Still, it wasn't like he knew where everyone was. Locke doubted they suddenly popped up nearby, he didn't at least. Honestly, they'd best not have ended up in the ocean, that was like the worst case scenario in his head for now, but none of them were weak enough to die that easily. He saw them all as strong individuals and Edgar was much more likely to know how to deal with this than he did. Perhaps he should focus on that instead.
Island, that word indicated that it was much harder to even bother trying to find the others, since the man knew of no town, it seemed like he was not from this island either. As Locke listened, he heard the very reason as well, but what seemed of better interest was that the man had a ship somewhere. In working condition. Then he had at least a ticket out of here.
Nodding, Locke liked his options actually. “Seems pointless to just sit here and wait, we may as well make use of the situation and search this cave,” the treasure hunter replied with a grin, “Locke Cole, professional treasure hunter at your disposal,” he replied when Ravus introduced himself. He just wanted to add to his previous introduction with a clearer one, the man's name sounded like royalty, much like Edgar Roni Figaro and Sabin Rene Figaro.
With that, Locke followed the man further into the cave. He pondered on what sort of monsters could be here as well, he wondered if they'd be affected by the state the world was in again, especially now Kefka was gone. The treasure hunter still knew not he was in a different world. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!
