Finally, Rojo had done enough to make himself a target in the opening battle of this tournament. His Firaga and Confuse spells had succeeded in that endeavor. First, the young woman he'd targeted with his fiery blast had dashed forward and launched a small sphere of swirling grey energy at him. Rojo had meant to dodge it when it came close, but the strangest thing had happened, it seemed to have missed. Then, it clicked: The sphere wasn't the real danger in the attack. Just as Rojo was about to move out of the way, the Ruin spell burst open, knocking Rojo off his feet, sliding down the angled rooftop he'd been perched upon.
Wincing in pain, he looked back at the woman to see another key-like weapon hurling his way. It was time for Rojo to engage in his other manner of combat. He drew his sword and quickly knocked the key back towards the woman. She should have known better than to have forced his hand in physical combat. Rojo's swordsmanship was matched only by his affinity for casting both offensive and defensive magics.
"Haven't you heard? I defeated Marilith the fire demon in hand to hand combat! And she wielded six blades herself! You'll need more than a comically over-sized key to defeat me!"
Before the Red Wizard could respond, the ground began to shake violently. Damn! He'd forgotten about the other combatants! It seems the beefcake had decided to finally go upon the offensive and cast some sort of earthen spell. Rojo was thrown from his rooftop by the sheer magnitude of the quake, and he immediately noticed a large spire of earth and rock hurling upward in his direction. There was definitely no time for him to react as the column of earth smashed directly into him.
Gravity took over here and Rojo landed directly upon his face, into the cold snow mound below. What was once a bright and cheery courtyard was now completely covered with burning drywall and cracked earth. The entrants of this tournament had really done a number on this place and ol' Sandy Claws was going to have his work cut out for him when this was all over.
Rojo lept to his feet, feeling a definite nagging pain in his back and ribs as he did so. There needed to be repercussions for these atrocities! Rojo first cast another ice spell. This one wasn't quite as devastating as he earlier spell, but it was more direct. Under the feet of each of the four combatants, a large spire of ice shot upward. The jagged crystals of Blizzara would help him catch the blonde haired man and the girl off their guard, but he would focus more on the woman. It seemed the guy who'd launched the fireballs could hold his own and occupy the blonde gorilla for the time being.
Rojo bounded forward in the snow and prepared for close combat. Once in range, he started with a horizontal slash. Then he moved to a diagonal slash going from the upper right to his lower left and, then, finished with a thrust forward. Rojo's physical combat consisted of small, quick combinations, so that he could cast spells between attacks if he needed to. He may have changed his focus to up close and personal, but everyone would soon know the legendary fighting prowess of Rojo, the Red Wizard of Light.

"I have no idea what you're talking about, but whatever it is, it doesn't matter."
Ainn would sidestep the pillar of ice launched below her, moving swiftly as she recalled her keyblade, a cluster of spheres of water, their color shifting before firing them off the tip of her keyblade straight at Rojo as the cluster splits into separate projectiles along their path ultimately still headed right for him. The spell used was Balloonra, its distinct method of attacking combined with its medium damage catching most enemies she'd encountered off guard, though she knew not to get too big-headed, especially against a mage.
She sighs, feeling this wasn't going to be easy from this point on seeing as he was a swordsman that used magic himself. She forgot momentarily about the ground breaking, her getting launched into the air by the impact of it, before landing, feeling the damage as she gets up, her keyblade aimed at Rojo again, about to fire off a spell before splitting off to distract him, casting Cura to repair her damages instead, her only a little more damaged than initially.

It would appear that he didn’t have to call “them” after all. Snow was getting a little peeved and annoyed at the onslaught that the combatants set upon him, and it didn’t help in any way, shape, or form that they hurt either. Snow twisted his midsection to the left and right, stretching himself under the cover of his Quake attack, having been immune to it due to him casting the magic himself. Snow took relief in the fact that he didn’t have to call “them”, he hated bothering “The Sisters” with his problems. Besides in his current state, he wasn’t sure if he could call them. His L’Cie brand had been burned out and colored white, just like his friend Fang’s. Although she was able to call Bahamut in her state. However, due to the way this universe worked, one would never know. Once the spell ended, he refocused and reexamined the battle. Rojo had been attacked but he was still talking. Snow just couldn’t find it annoying anymore, he did, at first, but now it was just entertaining. It sounds like he’s been through a whole lot. Snow rolled his eyes, let out a chuckle at his Rojo's comments when he was attacked.
Snow figured that it would be kind of wrong to attack Rojo from behind since he had been occupied by another opponent, Snow would just focus on the guy that attacked him from behind. He turned himself to face the young man with the oversized key for a weapon and he pounded his knuckles together, hyping himself up. His focus was on the young man with the key for a weapon but he had saw something glow from under him. Snow looked down and widened his eyes, with his knowledge of ice magic, he knew very well that this was an ice attack. Snow tried to side step it but the Blizzara got a piece of him; the spire ended up coming fast, cutting his left leg up a bit and tearing through his pants. Snow hated it when his clothes were ruined. It was a pretty good cut but Snow wouldn’t be Snow if he didn’t suck it up and fight through it. Snow was a tank through and through and he was gonna prove it. He gritted his teeth and ran over to the man with the oversized key and stopped in front of him.
“Alright kid, let’s see what you got.”, Snow restretched his gloves over his hands and got into his trademark fighting stance.
Using his Ice Manipulation, he waved his right hand from his upper right to his lower left side and waved his left hand from his upper left to his lower right side. From there, two swords made of hard, dense ice appeared before Snow and before they hit the ground, Snow grabbed them at their hilts. Snow wasn’t sure if this kid had control of fire like Snow had control of ice, given his attack from earlier but he didn’t want to go in with his hands just yet until he’s figured him out as an opponent. The old Snow would have charged right in but the Snow Villiers that stood before the young man was a seasoned, thoughtful warrior, having been shaped by the consequences that he had to face because of the decisions that he has made for over 500 years. Snow got a good idea of who the young man was behind his back, now Snow wanted to see what he was made of when his opponent was facing him down.
“Let’s see your skill…when my attention is all on you!!”, Snow roared, using his Here We Go ability, letting his fighting spirit radiate through him in the form of a huge orange aura.
Actions Taken:
1. Snow attempts to sidestep Blizzara, but is cut in the leg by it.
2. Snow runs to the front of Kaiden and uses Ice Manipulation to make swords made of solid, thick, and dense ice.
3. Snow uses "Here We Go".
Abilities Used:
“Here We Go!!”: This is one of Snow’s strongest abilities. Snow will beat his chest with his right fist and yell “Alright!!” to pump himself up and have a bright orange aura emit from his body, from there he will gain plenty of power-ups at once as a result: Bravery(doubles attack power), Faith(doubles magic power), Protect(cuts physical damage by half), Shell(cuts magic damage by half), Veil(resistant to status ailment attacks), and Vigilance(increases the chance of interrupting the opponent's action when attacking, and increases resistance against interruption from the opponent while Snow is doing an action. This means that abilities that would stun or stop or parry Snow's physical or magical attack wouldn't work and Snow will be able to stop physical attacks completely like holding a punch or blocking a blade slash by clapping both hands and blocking magic spells with your palm at the cost of damage.) However, these power-ups can be dispelled by any magic that can purge them, such as Dispel or any spell with the opposite/negative effect on any of the buffs that Snow has cast upon himself, for example, a Deprotect spell can get rid of the Protect spell that is cast upon Snow (3 post duration; 3 post cooldown)
Esuna: Snow can cast this white magic upon himself to heal himself or anyone he chooses of any and all abnormal status effects that plague his body or the body of his ally. (1 post left)
Curasa: Snow can use this magic to heal his own wounds or to heal the wounds of his allies. However, this healing magic works in a specific way. The more serious the wounds or damages are, the better this spell will work, which means that if Snow is near-death and he casts this spell upon himself, he will be brought back to optimal health. (2 posts left)
Quake: Snow will clench both fists and then punch the ground once. When this happens, the ground will shake and the earth will begin to break apart and dirt geysers will rise from the ground from under Snow's enemies, causing huge Earth-elemental damage. (2 posts left)
Icy Touch: Snow’s hands will start to emit a light blue aura and from this, he will gain the power to turn anything he touches to ice if he wills it to, rendering it useless. It could be anything from small to extremely large projectiles to concussive energy blasts or beams. If it is coming at Snow and he touches it with his right and or left hand, it will simply become frozen and it will turn to ice. (3 post cooldown)
Ice Manipulation: Snow, due to his long time experience as a L’Cie and with the element of ice, he is capable of bending the element of ice to his will. He can use ice however he sees fit if the conditions are right. For instance, if something were to fall on Snow, Snow, with the wave of his hand can erect a pillar of ice to hold it up. Snow is limited only by his imagination when it comes to this power, of course, he can’t use it to set something on fire since ice cannot do that but he can use this manipulative power to do many things. However, if he is in a very hot place where fires are ablaze, he will not be able to use this ability. This ability can only be used in places where Snow can use the moisture in the air, hot and dry places will not bode as well for Snow as would places that are of normal or cool temperatures. (Passive in the right conditions)
Tension Build: This is a passive ability and it happens to be one of Snow’s strongest abilities due to the fact that it increases the overall strength, power, and tenacity of his finishing move, the Sovereign Fist. Whenever Snow attacks an opponent, his “tension” or rather his fighting spirit will start to build but he must keep attacking the same opponent for it to build. For every turn in battle he uses an attack, be it physical or magical on an opponent, the tension will build. However, if he goes to attack another person, then the tension build will reset. It starts 100% once he attacks, then his tension will go to 200% then 300%, until it reaches 500% MAX Energy every time he uses a physical or magic attack. When his tension increases, the overall power of his finishing move increases, which means that the Sovereign Fist can grow to be 5 times more powerful than it usually is. Once the tension builds to 500% MAX Energy, Snow must use Sovereign Fist immediately on the next turn, if he doesn’t then, then the tension build is lost and he will not be able to build it up again for the duration of the battle. Snow does not have to wait to reach 500% MAX Energy, which means that he can apply the augmentation given by the tension build ability at anytime it might be building. Snow cannot use this ability more than once in a battle; it is a one shot, after he applies the buff that this ability gives to the Sovereign Fist, he won’t be able to use this ability in that battle anymore. This means that the first time Snow uses Sovereign Fist in battle, the augmentation that the Tension Build ability gives will be automatically applied to Sovereign Fist. After that, Sovereign Fist will not be powered by Tension Build, given the fact that it can only be used once per thread. (Passive, active until Snow uses Sovereign Fist for the first time in battle, can only be used once per battle/thread; Tension stays at 200%)
Steelguard: Snow can use his raw power for defense as well as offense. Snow will spread his feet and put his arms in front of him in a defensive stance and start to glow gold. Using his incredible power as a Pulse L'Cie and his own natural strength, this move is one of Snow's best abilities as it enables him to withstand most attacks, both physical and magical, reducing the damage done to him immensely almost to the point of hilarity. However, Snow cannot counterattack while he is using this technique. The only ways that this move can be broken is if Snow stops using it by it reaching its limit of three turns, if he chooses to stop using it before his three turns are up or if a blatant move of obviously higher strength comes into contact with it and breaks it. It was definitely time to get down to business. Rojo had spent far too much time trying to use his personal endeavors to strike fear into the hearts of his enemies. However, nobody seemed shaken from the retelling of his besting Marilith in swordsmanship. Maybe he should tell them of the time he wrestled the Kraken into submission far into the seas. He had even saved the mermaids with that one!
Rojo was quickly attacked with a barrage of water blasts. He wouldn't be able to deflect these, and he certainly didn't need to be taking this kind of damage. Rojo's hands glowed blue for a brief moment, and he instantly bounded from his spot in a blue blur. He had kicked off the ground and moved toward a building, where the oversized key bearing woman had launched a key at him. He bounded again, without missing a beat, landing this time on a large pole in the corner of the courtyard that looked remarkably like a giant candy cane. Rojo wouldn't have been able to move this fast without the help of Haste, but it ensured his safety a moment longer.
All traces of his lighthearted demeanor had completely left his face. He needed to be thoughtful and calculated at this moment. Something he only did in the most serious of threats. Now that he had a good vantage point, he would need to cast something to help himself offensively.
The sky grew darker than normal and instantly the first bolt of lightning when crashing towards the key swordsman lady. The second hit a house across the courtyard, but the third and fourth when after the other key swordsman, the young man who'd assaulted the juiced up neanderthal. There were several more that hit other areas around the battlefield, but the red wizard didn't pay enough attention to where those ones landed. He did see, however, one more bolt of his Thundaga go for the key-wielding woman and one finally aim for the blonde guy he'd been having trouble with as well.
Rojo wasn't sure, but the other woman who'd been in the battle must have left. He hadn't seen her since right after the fighting began. She must have gotten the clue that Rojo was, in fact, strong enough to single-handedly overpower Chaos. The others were about to know the truest nature of his balance between physical prowess, black magic, and white magic.

The pure adrenaline of red magic was flowing through his veins, still heightening his sense of speed. Rojo had performed well so far in every department except defense. He'd taken a few heavy blows and knew that he needed to compensate for it rather quickly. Therefore, he had sped himself up with a haste spell.
The Red Wizard knew he needed to breathe new life into his sore aching body. His hand began to glow a pale, mossy green as Rojo began casting the Curaga spell. Wounds all over his body began to close while his body took on an aura the same color that originated from his palm. Now, his body could keep up with the actions his mind could dictate.
Still covered in the blue blur of his Haste spell, Rojo dashed towards his opponent. One would think that he would attack the mysterious key wielding woman that had plagued him prior, but he had actually sent himself spiraling towards the blonde behemoth that had been tanking through all of his attacks. This time, Rojo cast another spell as he rocketed towards his opponent from atop the candy-cane pole. Right before he was within striking distance, the mage completely vanished once more. The Invis spell had made a comeback, and it would help him gain advantage during the physical bombardment his opponent was about to receive.
Now, it was time to attack. The heightened speed and invisibility should combo into a beautiful display of the Rojo's devastating utility. Just mere moments after he'd littered the battlefield with powerful strikes of lightning, he had healed his wounds and charged in for a physical attack while under the effects of a Haste and Invis spell. Rojo quickly made a diagonal slash at the fighter followed by a horizontal slash and a final thrust before he leapt backwards.
He knew his opponents were having trouble keeping up with him. He'd managed to do all of this while they were still dealing with the effects of his previous techniques. When Rojo put his mind to it, his utilitarian combat style made for an extremely dangerous combination.

Ainn had frankly had enough of Rojo's shenanigans and the strength he had to seemingly back it up. She had always hated people like that, wondering if it was some power trip or something to boast. Either way, she dashed out of the way, avoiding Thundaga's onslaught, before contemplating within the space of less than a second whether or not to to use her strongest attack yet due to his blinding speed, knowing it can't last forever. No magic is perfect after all. Ainn launched another Ruin against Rojo as she ran up to him, her ether drive making it look like she just created matter from nothing, firing her ultimate attack, Ragnarok at him at point-blank range, a large sphere of energy forming at the tip of her keyblade before firing off a large cluster of energy appearing now as a storm of projectiles launching at him swiftly. She now had a look of intent to harm on her face as she did, her not really caring anymore what happened to this jerk, her knowing her Ether Release was fading quickly.
