Altair... She liked this place. It was simple, but beautiful. It was even nicer to see the results of people rebuilding. Well that's what she heard anyway, apparently their were a few world's with their own mad clowns. That was sad to know but... Seeing the results of their effort gave her hope for her own to get back to it's own original state. Of course people like Edgar were already making efforts towards that... But this helped. Seeing the other end of what was to come. She sometimes forgot the state of the world, Thamasa wasn't hit as hard compared to some. Well that was to say their wasn't a large divide going down the middle of Thamasa. Others hadn't been so lucky before they ended that clown's madness.
Of course such a sight made her want to paint it. She did so as she traveled around the town. It was good practice drawing a town. Their were many angles to consider. Landmarks, water sources, the inside and outside of buildings... It was always nice to practice her hand a bit more. If their was a downside? It was that she hadn't found him yet. With all the beauty these worlds offered she sometimes got distracted from her goal. Pages were filled with paintings of the world around her... But nothing of him. Ok where was he?! This was getting ridiculas! Even Shadow couldn't possibly hide this good!
The artist sighed. It was such a downer sometimes. She expected to go out, find her father and have a magical reunion complete with her ranting his head off. Instead she kept coming up short.Town after town between a few worlds now? Where did he go? Why didn't he want to see her? It was confusing to her. She still didn't get it.That's all she wanted was to know the 'why'. If she could know that... She felt like she could move on.
Well on the upside at least she hadn't run into the others yet. It wasn't that she didn't want to see them. Far from it she was starting to miss them. At least in Thamasa she got the occasional visit from them. No she didn't want to see them because everyone aside from Gau, Gogo or Mog and his friend were liable to try and get her to go home. She knew why of course. This was a wild goose chase. Even she knew their was the chance she wouldn't find anything. Their was probably also the excuse of her being a kid but... Even they had to admit she was no defenseless child! She could defend herself just as well as the others!
She did want to see them, truthfully. But she didn't want to go back until she found answers. She just... She needed to know. Well for now she needed to calm herself. Relax her mind before she continued her search. For that of course their was one clear answer for her!
So she lost herself in her art again.

Another town that looked like it had come under attack, though not as recently as others seemed. This place was well under way with the repairs. What could be going around causing all this? There had been so many new things she'd seen recently, you'd might even think she was on another world entirely, but how was that possible? There were no machines or magicks that could do this, was there? Something tweaked in the back of her memory and the black-haired Miqo'te stopped in her tracks where she paused for a moment before turning to look over her shoulder, feelings eyes on her. There was nothing out of the ordinary; everyone were going about their daily lives helping with repairs, running their businesses, so on, so forth. Frowning, Kira looked back ahead of herself and lowered her eyes to stare at her right hand, clenching it into a tight fist with the creak of her leather glove accompanying the movement. Wasn't there story of someone travelling the Lifestream once? Being lost from Eorzea for a time before being pulling back into reality? Who was that again? One of the Sausage or Scribble people? Tonk-Reed? Or was it the other one, Eee-Sold-Her? Could the same thing have happened to herself? Surely she'd remember being consumed by the Lifesteam if it were. And it that -was- the case, then why her? What made her so special?
Shaking her head from side to side, her tied back hair whipping behind her in the motion, the Miqo'te decided to push such thoughts to the back of her mind. She was still on the search for her beloved chocobo and wasn't anywhere closer to finding him then when she was a few days ago, and frankly, it was making her both sad and worried. Normally her red-feathered bird was always by her side and if he wasn't, she'd know exactly where he was, both be having telling him where to go and also by feelings for his Aether. Here, in this place, she felt nothing. Nothing that felt like her large red bird anyway. She could feel the Aether of a lot of souls wondering around, mostly small, insignificant Aethers, like tiny embers burning in the bottom of a campfire. No, her chocobo was a raging fire, full of life, full of energy. I'll find you Genesis... I swear it, the Miqo'te thought to herself as she relaxed her right hand and lowered it back down to her side. Taking a moment to check she had all her belongings, she raised her head back up and continued on her search.
Soon enough, something caught her attention, both physically and mentally. A child was nearby holding some weird stick with hair on the end, using it to place colours into a book she held. What was she doing? Didn't she want to read that book? Upon closer inspection, the book was blank and the colours being applied were starting to look like an image. Kira blinked and shuffled closer still, close enough that she could peer down and look at what the child was doing. Turning her head left then right, Kira's ears stood upright and watched with pointed interest. She was painting some sort of building? Looking up and peering around herself, the Miqo'te noticed a very similar building not far away, same as was coloured on the blank book. ”... What are you doing?”, the cat-eared female asked, her tail swishing behind herself slowly as she held her hands behind her back, leaning forwards a fraction to get a better look at the image being drawn. There was something odd about this child. Her Aether was brighter then most others around here. It felt warm and young, yet also seemed worried and concerned. Wonder what could be on her mind? Come to think about it, Kira didn't much care. She was interested in the weird book colour thing she was doing though.

Walking inside, it seemed unusual to Locke that this town was completely walled. Yet a lot of damage here and there was visible as people were rebuilding. There were some.. guards about, but it seemed most of the town was just busy with repairs. "Wonder what happened," he asked while looking a bit further to the right where in the distance he could see the sea. With a shrug, he continued into the town.
Considering things this was much better than the previous experiences, no more ships in a storm and no more clouds held up by rainbows to walk on. Also no more talking animals so far. Just a normal town in a normal world. The other experiences are possibly things Relm would be interested in, thinking about the paintings, he wondered if she'd be enlightened with paintings. He suspected that much, but at times found the girl difficult to read.
Thinking about the girl... and weird things. Hm? Locke noticed someone that looked suspiciously like Relm. Rather than that, it WAS Relm. Her entire outfit was still the same and holding a paintbrush in hand made it clear that it was her regardless. The treasure hunter moved towards her while looking over the second person that was there with her. A woman with... odd ears and seemed to have a tail. He wasn't going to think weirdly of it, he definitely would not, or so he told himself as he moved towards them.
"Relm?" he asked while putting his focus on Relm rather than the lass with her. Seeing the tail swish made it clear to Locke that it must be real. He had seen enough oddities that he didn't think of it too wildly, but it kept bothering him how many differences there were in these so-called Worlds. It was like Figment said, someone must just be imagining these places that spawned them to start with perhaps. Wait, does that make Kefka an imagination too? That thought troubled him and he remained quiet onward, but the two might notice from his face he was thinking far too deep about something. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!

Relm was spooked, Immediately stopping her painting and spinning around to face the lady behind her. Older than her... But most of the adults had left her alone so far because she wasn't getting in their way. This one was different than than the others in the town though. She looked human for the most part to her, but she traits of a cat to. At the same time she didn't seem like one of the more feral humanoid monsters ether. That got the young girl curious!
"Hi um... Where did you get those ears... Do you think I could maybe..."
Relm was interrupted by a familiar dog leaping between them. A rather fierce creature, more so when compared to Relm herself. The dog leapt to the artist's defense-Kira's apprence and way of greeting had given it reason to to think it needed to protect his master's child. A growl came from as it attempted to push frighten the intruder away. At least until Relm stepped in.
"Interceptor no! Down!, She's just curious"
After saying this the dog backed up some taking a position just behind her. Relm leaned down the pet the dog to calm them. Oh wait! Hadn't the woman asked her a question before she got distracted? She got back to her feet and turned to do so, didn't want her to think she was being ignored after all!
"Oh I'm painting! I really like the way this town looks, so I wanted to draw it myself, store it with my other drawings. Now that Interceptors calm... Could I maybe draw you as well? I don't really... See people like you often, you look amazing!"
The girl was clearly excited at the prospect of painting someone new. It had been a while! The last person she painted was Terra during a visit she gave her. Before that was the old man! The cat like girl was interesting to her... She wanted to capture that in her art.
It was at this point she heard a familiar voice calling after her. Turning her attention towards the sound she was met with a friendly face. The theif! It was Locke! So one if her friends DID end up finding her! It... Didn't seem like anyone sent him though like she would have expected. No he seemed surprised to see her instead. So that meant he just... Happened upon her? Well she was ok with that! It was great to see one of her old friends.
"Locke hi! What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be shacked up with Celes? Last I checked y'all were all heavy and warm!"
The girl was rather to the point with the things she noticed and said. In this case? Celes and Locke! Far as she was concerned they might as well be a married couple at this point!

The spooked child's reaction caused Kira to straighten up slightly, her sharp stare shifting from the sketchbook the girl held over to her face where she frowned and watched the child carefully. Her ears flattened slightly and the swing in her tail grew subtly more vicious but for the most part, the feline female didn't move. Nor did she move when spoken too, though her eyes did shift towards the dog that appeared and begun barking at her. Kira stood upright and glared at the animal, keeping her hands behind her back as not to strike the mutt to teach it a lesson, nor to draw her blade for the same reason. No, Kira assumed the pooch belonged to the girl and wasn't much fond of strangers. Or perhaps cats. Or perhaps cat strangers wielding swords. The black-haired Miqo'te even managed to hold back her own hiss in retaliation. She was rather impressed with her self control. Her eyes didn't move from the dog though, watching as it stood down at it's owners command and plonked itself on the floor behind the child.
Turning her head back towards the child, Kira stood fully upright and folded her arms across her chest, her armour rustling gently with her movements. Didn't Soileine paint? That was the whole, putting colours on something and making it look like something else, right? This kid seemed to be doing the same thing but just on a smaller scale. ”What's painting?”, Kira asked curiously, wanting to get confirmation that this was what she thought it was. Looking back at the picture in her sketchbook and then looking up to spot the same thing standing a short distance away, the Miqo'te subtly nodded her head. This kid was pretty good. The kid's question made Kira look back down at her and she frowned slightly. Don't see people like me often? What's a 'people'? Also, amazing? She things I look amazing?, she thought to herself, her frown softening slightly. She didn't see any harm in it, though she was more interested in finding her chocobo. ”It's not gonna... like... cost me anything, is it?”, she frowned again. ”I don't have much Gil on me. Oh and my ears? I've always had them... No, you can't touch them.”, she added on, her frown growing darker slightly but it quickly softened again when seeing the excitement the kid had in her. Argh, what was it with kids and making her do things she didn't want to?
Movement off to the side caused Kira's ear to flick that was while her eyes stayed on the child and her dog. Only when the sounds that turned out to be footsteps, drew closer, did Kira turn her gaze and lock her sights onto the oddly dressed stranger walking towards them both. She didn't feel any malice on this guy and his aether was bright and cheerful and... mischievous. Hm, she better not let her guard down around this Hyur. The child spoke this person's apparent name; 'Locke'. So they knew one another? The light in the kids eyes confirmed this, but who was this 'Celes'? Bah, she didn't need to know and also she didn't care. Kira just remained silent and watched the Hyur approach, her tail flicking behind her slowly, cautiously. She'd seen so many new people that looked nothing like anyone else she'd met on Eorzea. As crazy as it might sound, she was starting to wonder if that red-head kid called 'Akoomi' or something was starting to speak the truth about there being 'other worlds' out there. No, surely not. She had just somehow managed to find herself on a different continent on Hydaelyn, right? Right...?

"LOCKE!!! COME ON!! You CAN'T keep ABANDONING me like that!!!" He complained as he followed in quickly behind Locke, grabbing the man's shoulder's from behind and shaking him a bit. He let out a defeated sigh as he worked to catch his breath. All he could hear was the heart beat thudding away in his head as he bent forward, hands on his knees, catching his breath. "You know this armor is heavy..." He grumbled a bit as he worked to not wheeze. It was slightly frustrating that he was needing to catch his breath. But, with all the fighting they'd managed in the coliseum, he was due for a break. He was exhausted.
The man looked up to see the painting first, his eyes looking over the brush strokes. He knew that style anywhere as his eyes shifted to the small painter. "Oh, thank the Gods. You're safe. We were worried you might be somewhere unsafe without Intercept-..... Hello." He paused briefly, noticing an odd looking woman standing with the group.
"How rude of me!! My name is Edgar.... and what would be a fitting name for a woman as beautiful as yourself?" Has asked as he shifted to attempt to steal her hand to leave a soft kiss on the back of her hand. It was a shame that the man was such a flirt. He truly didn't mind who it was. As long as he felt he had even a slim chance to court the woman. The king hadn't even paid much mind the the current conversation that were already happening. He could be slightly oblivious when it came down to it. Especially when he knew he had an friend at his side

Locke was surprised by the sudden mention of Celes and how casually Relm brought it. Perhaps he should've known with this girl, honestly she still was surprising him no matter where they were. "Wha-" he shook his head, "that's just the thing! We were back homewhen suddenly the surroundings shifted, I thought it was probably another situation like when Kefka altered the world," he started explaining, hoping to make some sense of this all.
"So I disappeared and found myself all alone on a boat, initially I thought I was still home until I started finding these 'worlds' as they refer to them. New realms outside our own and the Espers'. I've been trying to fi-" he interrupted his explaining when someone shouted at him. Looking behind him at the complaining Edgar, he was practically the only person he had found thus far from back home. Smiling at the man as he continued to complain until he saw Relm.
When Edgar noticed the girl that was next to Relm and got distracted, Locke returned his focus onto Relm to try and explain further. "As you can see, I did find Edgar," he explained while pulling up his shoulders in a shrugging motion, "we've been traveling together since. I take it… you didn't find Celes by any chance," a hint of sadness was there in his voice. Since she thought he'd be with her, there was no doubt she didn't find her, but he wondered about the others. "Have you seen any of the others?" he looked for a moment at Interceptor, knowing the dog used to stick near Shadow. made by kiwii at btn! rebuild by metus at khmm!
