It had been some time since she had left Hydaelyn. How long, exactly, was hard to say. It could have been a few weeks, but it could also have been a few months. Regardless, she had first been enthused by what greeted her upon entering the heavens. There wasn't a formless realm to ascend to, but instead a number of other living Worlds, one of which she soon landed on. The time since then had been spent wandering a dimlit forest, occasionally dealing with a number of dark-colored assailants. It was hard to tell what they all were, even after so many encounters, but they always had similar features- That is to say, a lack of features. Their skin was without pock or wound, even when struck, and their eyes were simple and blank. They reminded her of the Egi she'd heard described, but never once did she find someone who could have summoned them. Their origin remained a mystery, and so she decided not to concern herself with it. Fortunately for her, these creatures were seething with life and aether every time she found them. They were obviously a natural predator, but soon after her arrival they instead became her regular prey. She had fed well in her wandering.
As she walked along those unmarked paths, Altima watched the glowing of the stone in her chest. The small bits of aether she'd gathered had done well to recharge it, successfully restoring its basic functions. Unfortunately, it was far too little to squeeze out any of its real potential. She'd have to get serious about tracking some real game, but it was becoming clearer with every day that maybe such game didn't exist in this place. The taste of the black creatures had already soured on her tongue, and yet she hadn't been able to find anything else to spice it with. For a while, she had considered the possibility of leaving, trying to reach another World and continue her hunt there instead. Whenever she ventured above the trees, though, she could see... things on the horizon. Beyond the forests were forts and castles, and those carried the promise of variety. Her goal had then become that of a pilgrimage, carrying her slowly toward the distant walls of stone. She was in no rush, though, and had taken a leisurely pace all the while. With such a find waiting for her, she could stomach the same taste for a while longer.
Still, she couldn't help but admit her boredom with it all. With such a grand thing as the heavens to plunder, she'd expected so much more of it, but only the mystery of these new creatures had served to really occupy her attention. In all, it was a disappointing find. Prowling along through the constantly snapping branches which rarely held her immense weight for more than a moment, she hoped her next destination would offer more of interest.

A nother forest, another world. As long as a massive wave didn't just randomly pop up all of a sudden and crashes into her. Now that'd be the best. Honestly, she still couldn't figure out how that even worked last time. Opening a door and an ocean came into her face. So she now had been in a place where all the colors were unnatural and in a place where unnatural things happened. Thinking back about the pink castle, she just didn't know what to say about that. Faeli wasn't liking the... normal around her right now. Pulling her bow from her back and standing ready, she expected something to happen as she remained quiet for a while. Nothing of the sort seemed to happen. There had been Heartless in some places and monsters in others, what would she confront this time? All of this just seemed like an odd experience. Not one she enjoyed very much. With a sigh, Faeli loosened herself a little as she started to press onward. It was just a forest, just a forest. Shrugging, the Au Ra wasn't entirely sure what to make of this. Was this back in Hydaelyn? Soon she found a path that felt foreign, but she had definitely not been everywhere in Hydaelyn. So where wou- her thoughts were interrupted at the sight of someone further up the road. The Bard stalked slowly further ahead, she had thought of maybe making a sound, but the appearance threw her off. Honestly, her first thought was 'dragon', but the appearance had more a feel like the Ultima Weapon. Still, these are different worlds, Faeli was utterly shocked by the appearance, but tried to calm her senses as well as she could while continuing to move closer, then remained at a large distance. What are you? Where did you come from? Are you a monster? Questions rushing through her head, hoping this wasn't like the Dark Rider situation, “excuse... excuse me! A-are you from here?”

At some point, she decided to stop and reorient herself. Without confirming what direction she was travelling, getting lost was inevitable. When she was about to take off, though, a voice caught her ear, giving her pause for the first time since her arrival. All she'd experienced until then was the aggression of the black creatures, so hearing the rather weak voice calling from behind didn't fit her expectations at all. She'd have been less surprised by another pounce or fireball. As new as it was, however, further inspection proved that the presence had little to it. The scent of aether- of strength -was there, but it lacked the potency needed to truly interest her. Her expression, which had gained a small bit of hope at first hearing the voice, turned flat at this revelation, knowing that the potential here was minimal. Thus, when she turned to address it, her response was not to answer the question she hadn't bothered to register, or even to ask one of her own. Instead, with her dull eyes focused on the stranger and her arm already in the motions of a back swing, her response was simply to remove it.
During that swing, a swift reaction was also taking place. Her clawed hand, bearing a port in the center of the palm, seized up while the port took on a glow which quickly brightened. It only ceased when the swing reached its apex, wherein the light left her hand and remained in place in the air. It burst apart in that same moment, turning a vile green color and exploding away from her toward the stranger, a blind spray of beams firing out in that general direction, none of which had a pattern or sense of aim to them. Each was a searing beam of brightly shining malice, given form by the devices on her body and directed to lash out at an unsuspecting traveler who, for all she knew, may have wanted directions to the same place she was going. It was a shame, she thought then, that they made the mistake of coming so close as to perish like this. Es'faeli's Party

Altima ▪ Late and short, sorry. R eally?! Faeli leapt back only to find the being had fired a spray of beams all towards her. It wasn't like she could avoid the entire cone in any sort of way, perhaps with some sort of repelling shot, but instead the auri was barraged by the lasers and moved even further back. "I-I guess you're not up to talking then," she continued before hopping even further back now the lasers were over, her bow readied she fired Straight Arrow at Altima. This to ready herself for the fight. Well, she hadn't liked the 'normal' here thus far, so perhaps this change was what she needed. However, Faeli doubted that greatly, it would be nice to not be under attack constantly. There had been a lack of monsters, but she meant the smaller kind, not throwing monsters of Primal rank in her face so much. The smaller Heartless was nice, perhaps she should've stuck with the talking Heartless. The Bard tried to keep creating more distances as she moved backwards and fired two more arrows in quick succession, first one was Stormbite which would cause light damage, but create gusts of winds to keep harming Altima over time. Following this was Caustic Bite, which would also cause light damage along with poisoning the opponent. Thus causing two status ailments upon her opponent if both managed to hit the being, both dealing damage over time. Both arrows had a chance to deal a critical hit, increasing the damage even further, thanks to her previous use of Straight Arrow. Actions1. Used Straight Arrow to deal moderate damage to Altima as well as giving Faeli a status effect to add a chance to perform critical hits. 2. Used Stormbite to deal light damage to Altima as well as giving Altima a status ailment that damages her over time for three post rounds. 3. Used Caustic Bite to deal light damage to Altima as well as giving Altima a status ailment that damages her over time for three post rounds. Dice Rolls1 to 10 is success and will cause moderate damage instead of light damage to Altima. Stormbite: zrBDPTwV1-100Caustic Bite: 1-100ActiveStraight Arrow: Two posts on Faeli. CooldownsStormbite: Three posts. Caustic Bite: Three posts. 1-100·1-100

There was little surprise in that she survived the lasers. They were good for shock value, but weren't all that potent on their own... At least, not by this stranger's standards. The stranger in question was quick to react when seeing the bow come out, raising her arms up in front of her face and dropping to a kneel. The arrows themselves ticked harmlessly against the readied armor, and the poison tip of one was rendered completely pointless thanks to its lack of penetration. Though they were well-aimed, this archer was clearly in no position to hit any critical points, and that allowed her target to disregard the wide shots with no more but a single blocking motion.
Fortunately, the defense didn't make her invincible. Though none of the arrows were enough to pierce the plates on her arms, the enchanted Stormbite arrow didn't really need to. Making any contact at all was enough to set its spell into motion, turning the nearby air into a current of sharp winds that assailed her immediately and followed her movements. She didn't try to dispel or wave them away, though, which may have seemed unusual. In truth, it was because she already understood this kind of fighting. It was something that had been sent at her before. She knew how to move around it already.
Of course, to 'move around' really just means 'deal with it'. She stepped off from the kneel and, with her wings stretched wide, jetted forward toward the fleeing Bard. Her face, meanwhile, had gained the covering of a black visor, nearly completing her armored appearance save for the gap between there and the base of her neck. Already, she had a plan in place, taking a jagged route between multiple trees on her approach and releasing a pulse of green flame from her hands as she went. As she came closer, the flames retreated from the afflicted wood, leaving it bleached and dry before flitting through the air to return to the mechanical hunter. With each returning flame, her movements became the slightest bit more lively, with greater coordination and speed while the lights in her armor glowed brighter. Once she'd reached a sufficient speed with which to catch up, she gave herself some elevation and swung an open palm in front of herself.
From that palm fired a narrow laser which swept in a broad arc, passing over the Bard's head to form a large semicircular mark in the foliage she ran to. The marks remained for an abnormally long time, the glow of heat only intensifying, rather than cooling down. Meanwhile, the one who had fired them returned to sailing near the ground, claws at the ready to pounce on her target from the air if they chose to stop or turn away from the trap she'd laid. If, instead, she chose to keep running or just turn slightly, then the hunter wouldn't have to catch up at all. The exploding earth would do it for her.
