- Initially having beginnings in Darkness, experiences (largely out of their control) have resulted in neutrality.
Anti-Sora has no family, at least not in the conventional way. Their connections are as follows:
- Sora - Somebody, "mortal enemy".
- Roxas - Nobody equivalent.
- Riku - Initial creator; specifically of the Shadow Sora 'prototypes'.
Hostile - Anti-Sora outwardly cringes at the mere idea of friendship and forging bonds with others, seemingly seeing it as a weakness or blight. He is aggressive, spiteful and standoffish to all others, preferring to be left alone at every available opportunity. It is unadvised to get Anti-Sora into a fight... Even if it is often himself that is to blame for a situation of that variety with his unkind demeanor.
Selfish - Looking out for number one, Anti-Sora does things without consideration for the feelings of others as well. Any form of 'charity' is generally a means to an end that puts him out on top or provide some sort of benefit to him.
Relentless - Giving up? Whats that? When backed into a corner or completely set on a task; Anti-Sora will not let up in any capacity until he is free or the task he has undertaken is completed. The taunts and eggings-on of foes in a fight will only fuel the already naturally spiteful specter... Encouragement on the other hand is met with confusion, followed by immediate haughty snobbishness.
Pragmatic - Anti-Sora is a bit of a realist. He typically assesses a given situation logically rather than emotionally like some of his counterparts would.
Genuine - Now, Anti-Sora isn't without some manner of positive traits. He is hostile, selfish, relentless and pragmatic; but he is honest. If something gets on his nerves, he will say so. If he thinks something is moronic, he will mention it. He will only avoid speaking the truth if it benefits him directly rather than lying.
[Kingdom Hearts I]Anti-Sora’s beginnings were not nearly as sunny as the being he was initially based on. At first, upon the original Sora’s arrival to Neverland, he encountered his best friend Riku who at the time wielded an increasing amount of abilities tied to the Darkness. One such ability was the creation of Heartless by his own design rather than simply summoning variations of them. Taunting Sora, Riku created a shadowy doppelganger before backing off as Sora, Goofy and Donald were thrown into the brig of Captain Hook’s pirate ship. Fighting their way out with the assistance of Peter Pan and Tinkerbell; there were many of these ‘Shadow Soras’ that had to be fought back and defeated. Upon the defeat of each of them, Riku was already perfecting the trick using what he figured out from the prototypes…
When the original Sora and his buddies reached the ship’s cabin, Riku wa in their way once again. This time he conjured something a great deal more formidable; this was Anti-Sora; a pureblood Heartless now fully identical to the original besides having glowing yellow eyes and being molded in Darkness itself. This creature, powered by what at the time was Riku’s disdain for Sora, engaged in battle with our intrepid heroes. In the end, this bout resulted in Anti-Sora’s defeat.
However, that was not the end. In the fight with the true Sora, something changed after the two exchanged heavy swings of their weapons. While Anti-Sora was in essence ‘defeated’ by Sora, even as it warped and writhed back into the pit of shadows from whence it came, it left a lasting impression to the point where this encounter wasn’t even documented by Jiminy Cricket as part of the group’s journal…
During the climactic events on the world known (at the time) as Hollow Bastion, young Sora pierced his own heart with a unique and mysterious Keyblade, releasing multiple hearts of pure light inclusive of Kairi’s. Unfortunately, this resulted in his own (as special as it might be) being temporarily consumed. This resulted in Sora being turned into a Shadow heartless, though slightly differently. He could control himself, he was still him, just not properly together. Due to various instances in his past as well as the earlier clash with Anti-Sora, the boy was beyond lucky. Eventually, Kairi’s light restored him… However, several changes had already occurred.[Kingdom Hearts II]A year or so later, the impact of Anti-Sora, and Sora’s own time as a heartless once again resurfaced in Sora’s Drive Forms. Specifically, this was the Anti Form, where the boy suddenly weaponizes Darkness, in a visage that is clearly reminiscent of Anti-Sora, only lacking any form of weapon. This form came into being typically around those further steeped in Darkness, as if what little Darkness in Sora’s mysterious and unique heart was reacting them. Through this, the imprint of Anti-Sora grew subliminally learning through Sora, although in a weak state deep within him, as an expression of his pitiful level of Darkness. All it could do was watch, unaware that it was even watching.[Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance]Due to an insidious plot orchestrated by the resurgence of Organization XIII, Sora was tricked during his and Riku’s mark of mastery exam. Sora was subtly guided into a trap that sent him into a deep dark sleep. Through the actions of the Organization, extra levels of Darkness attempted to latch onto Sora. Now, the young man was saved from immediately succumbing to it by Ventus’ heart, the one that shared his body. Ventus’ Keyblade Armor was conjured in the form of extra protection for Sora. However, even though this layer kept Sora safe, his condition was deteriorating and he was still in danger. What little Darkness Sora had within him groggily awakened as part of an instinctual response to the invading evil. When Riku made the plunge into Sora’s heart in order to save him, multiple expressions of Anti-Sora impeded him.
After Riku had rescued his friend, Organization XIII’s influence was expelled... Along with something else. The first, true Anti-Sora... Was also released and separated from the boy’s body.
Identical to Sora in shape and silhouette. The difference lies in that Anti-Sora is monochrome in incredibly dark purple. He also has glowing yellow eyes, typical of Heartless.
'Ridiculous… Look at them.' Far above the normal citizens, atop the tallest building of Traverse Town’s second district stood a shadowy figure; the rogue Heartless "Anti-Sora". The umbral misanthrope rolled his piercing bright yellow eyes as he watched the people below within his view scurry along. From here, he could see the first, second and third district quite easily, the fourth and fifth districts eluded him however. 'They have no idea what could be watching.' He looked directly down, seeing a young man saunter onward through an alleyway in the second district and into a local item shop, blissfully unaware that two pairs of glowing eyes followed him. The man narrowly avoided two Shadow Heartless that thankfully grew impatient and faded back into the abyss. 'No idea what could be lurking in the shadows…' In this case, quite literally.
Although he couldn't fathom how ignorant people could get, the rogue would be lying if he wasn't in some manner intrigued as to why they ended up like this. He hated lying after all. Almost as much as the idea of friendship at this point. The positive side to this conundrum was that he didn't need to be friends with someone to just directly ask, right? To that end, a plan had hatched from the rotten egg. Anti-Sora shifted and melded into the surface of the building, swiftly gliding all the way down to the door of that store the young man entered. It was here that Anti-Sora simply waited within the shadows under the awning of the store.
After a few minutes of waiting, his target exited the store and moved to return the way he came. Anti-Sora followed in secret until he was certain that nobody would muscle in on his agenda. Emerging from the nearby wall, Anti-Sora stepped in front of the young man, who yelped and tripped over small wooden crate. "Aah! What in the— Heartless?!" They stammered, with a mixture of confusion and fear on their face as they backed up into the wall. "So now you notice. You were being tailed by two Shadows earlier." Anti-Sora scoffed, seeing the man shudder and gasp for air. "Oh relax, numb-nuts. Unlike those pathetic brainless globs of Darkness I'm not going to hurt you unless you piss me off. So, You're going to answer some questions for me." Anti-Sora stepped forward and squatted down so that he was at level with his new 'friend'. Leaning in, he got uncomfortably close. "Got that?" With a nervous gulp, the young man complied with a shaky nod. In response, Anti-Sora's expression grew into a jagged grin. "Good..."
