The black mage was now running away?! "You idiot you left yourself completely unguarded!" Vanitas said with a demented smile. "Take this you loser!" Vanitas laughed as he drew out his keyblade the Void Gear as he pointed it toward the black mage as three dark crystals surrounded him as they circled his keyblade in a clockwise motion around it. "Hahaha! Now you are mine!"
The black mage would be locked on multiple times as the crystals prepared to fire dark energy at him. "Now! Dark Cannon Fire!" the crystals formed three small separate dark energy lasers that formed onto his keyblade as a huge laser of dark energy fired from the tip of the Void Gear keyblade.
"There is no escape! Now die!" Vanitas said as he fired off the large beam of darkness. After it the beam was fired Vanitas would not let up as he formed a large fireball in his hands as he threw it at the black mage. The fireball would split into three different small fireballs that also homed in on the black mage along with the dark laser that was the Dark Cannon. "You can't escape now you coward. Take this!" Vanitas would say as he now jumped into the air and summoned Lightning from the air in front of the black mage.

The story that followed her inquiry was quite farfetched, at least off first impression to the young queen. She found herself raising a brow as Nick explained the reason for his apparent exhaustion. The story in of itself was curious to say the least, yet were it not for how genuine he appeared in tone, Stella would have passed it off as a tall tale and nothing more. Whatever had happened in the First District, it had certainly been enough to startle the young man, and possibly anyone else that had been around. Then again Stella never knew the other district to have been very busy in the first place. Today was evidently different it would seem. She would take a moment to let all the information sink in, deducing this attacker was probably the source of the strange echoing thunder heard from before. Stella would open her mouth to speak, yet paused as another boom rang out, this time with enough of a force to shake even the buildings in the Second District. A moment was taken to regain her balance.
As the small tremor would subside, a small amount of dust would shower the pair from the ceiling. Stella took this as a cue to leave, raising a thumb to the nearest door. ”Well, sounds like whoever it was hasn’t finished. If your house is back in that direction, you would be better off following me back to the coffee shop.” She lowered the gesturing hand to rest upon her hip, giving a glance to the concierge. ”Not like there’s a spare room to hide in here anyway. Come along then,” suggested Stella further with a nod, before turning to leave herself.
The young woman’s pace was quick in her stride, yet she fought the urge to run so the kid could keep up if he chose follow. Her journey (serenaded further by distant booms) would take her back to the other side of the district, to a small establishment with old timed bay windows. ”We’re here,” she informed the teen, her amber eyes wandering up to the clock embedded in the hanging sign. The Bean of the Brew was spelled out in faded brick colored letters, above a quarter passed two. Whether in the morning, or afternoon, Stella could not tell for the lack of a sun in the sky. She took a moment to glimpse up and down the road, noting how empty it appeared for the hour. Theorizing the distant fight had somehow put the civilians on alert, taking refuge within their homes, Stella thought nothing more of it as she moved to open the door.
Inside the shop was as she remembered it to be; a set of tables and chairs set apart to the left, and a weathered bar with lining stools that dominated most of the righthand wall. Approaching the bar, she caught sight of a familiar old man at the far end, pulling a tray of freshly baked scones from the oven. ”Seito,” began the young royal as she aimed to catch his focus. The old man turned his head, and greeted her with a smile. ”Ah Stella, you’re back. Good. What news of Ms. Fairweather’s Inn?” The tray of scones were set gently on the counter, before he would approach his guests.
”She’s full up. Listen, we might have a problem…” Nick Laruzo @blackwaltz3 @vanitas

Nick had decided to follow along with the lady that spoke with him, thought it would be a good idea to get somewhere safer. His home wasn't safe at that very moment, since it was within the first district. When he had arrived at the destination, he looked up at the sign for a moment. Then, looked back in front of him. When he entered the building, so many questions were on his mind, but no answers to any of them. He did his best to act normal. Decided to take a seat, where ever there was a seat available. He would also be sure to introduce himself, when the time was right of course. He took out the message from his parents, looking at it. His mother's hand writing was pretty good. For a moment, he thought he saw something strange. He disregarded it. It was just some letters in the whole paragraph of the letter being colored differently. One of the letters were colored orange. Nothing special. At least at the moment.
"Whenever I look at this letter, I can imagine my mother's sweet and gentle voice reading it to me. Mother... father... where have you gone? When will you come back? I would love to taste your cooking again mother, and go on delivery jobs with dad. Its been too long..." He thought as he was about to put the letter away, only to accidentally have it slip out of his hand, and float through the air. He gasped with surprise, realizing his mistake of letting it slip out of his hand. It landed by the feet of young lady he had met in the hotel. Nick turned and looked at where his letter landed.
"My letter...!" He said as he walked over to her slowly to get it. | |

None of his attacks hit. The fact that this black mage would just run away was appalling but what made him even more angry was that his original target was nowhere to be seen. "COWARD!!!" Vanitas yelled out as he hit his fist against the wall of a building making a crack in the brick wall. Sure it hurt a bit when he did this but he couldn't get over the fact he just wasted three of his best attacks just then.
"Fine run away but that other one won't be so lucky anymore." he chuckled as he put away his keyblade with a dark shimmer. He took a breath and sighed. "Now where is that little twerp?" He then summoned another 10 Flood Unversed to his side. "Find the boy. He couldn't have gone very far." The Flood Unversed obeyed their master as they searched the districts like bloodhounds in groups of three. Three Unversed searched each of the three districts. "He's got to be around here somewhere but where?" he growled as he waited on his unversed to turn up any results.
As Vanitas waited on the results of his unversed to find the boy screams could be heard in all directions of each district as the Unversed had made their appearances known to each of them causing havoc in the streets. All he needed now was one of the three groups to relay their findings to the leader of the pack he created which was the single Flood Unversed he had with him at the time. This would ensure he would find that boy in no time. "I hate waiting!" Vanitas admitted as he tapped his foot in anger.

As the young man would take a seat, Stella would exchange a hushed recollection of Nick’s tale of the attack with the old man. A few glances were given the brunette’s direction, an occasional thumb over the girl’s shoulder, followed by more quieted whispers of concern as Seito debated a course of action. They both eventually went silence, the sound of warm coffee being poured filling the air, as the elder would prepare a trio of mugs. Stella felt her eyes dart between her hands upon the aged bar, and the steaming cups filled nearly to the brim but a few feet away. No answer came, only mounted anticipation, as Stella began to grow anxious for any hint or sign of one upon the wrinkled face standing before her. ”Seito…?” she asked in a whisper. Only a nod to the hot coffee was made, before Seito began to sip from the mug taken for himself. Stella felt her brow furrow at the old man, disapproving of the “wise old man” routine he was starting to pull. Was this really the time for it? Then it was that the young man would cry out, drawing the young royal’s focus to a letter that had drifted to the floor by her boots.
Hm? What’s this?
She reached down to seize the letter, before bringing it up to eye level to briefly examine it, yet choosing to mind the privacy of its contents. If it wasn’t meant for her to read, then Stella was never one to intrude on someone’s personal scripture. A code of ethics was among the first lessons learned in Elysian finishing schools. One of the uncountable requirements for any heir to the throne. Stella pinned the letter between a pair of fingers, raising it inquisitively, which caught the wandering eye of Seito. ”This yours?” she asked briefly, before it was promptly snatched from her grasp by the old man. ”H-hey! Seito, what’s the big-?” she paused, upon noticing he had set down his coffee, and was examining the envelope extensively. Stella cast a glance to Nick, making motion to dissuade any worry the boy might’ve had over potential harm to his parchment.
She would note the man’s raised brow, his widened eyes, as they moved from Nick to the return address, which naturally bore only a name. D. Laruzo The paper was then lowered, as Seito examined Nick’s face further. ”My boy- You are Derrick’s son yes?” asked the old man, his voice laced with a hint of disbelief. Stella shot the elder a curious look, before it found its way onto Nick.
”Whoa, hold on a sec. You know this kid!?”
The elder would nod solemnly, before offering the letter back to Nick, placing it on the bar before the brunette. ”I knew your father,” he began, ignoring the young queen’s skepticism. A sweeping hand was made to address the empty coffee shop. ”He would stop by here- every morning on his route. Derrick always had a new, delightful tale of the son I never had the pleasure to meet. That was of course- until he stopped making visits.” The old man returned his brew to his lips, taking a moment to enjoy the savory warmth that drizzled down his throat.
Stella had crossed her arms, and listened to the brief recollection. She watched Nick and Seito carefully, taking in what reactions the young man might’ve had to these words. She then recalled what Laruzo had said to her in the hotel; a mention, more accurately put, in regards to him being alone. Stella knew fully well what it was like to lose parents; the memory of her father being incinerated coming to mind at the thought. She frowned, looking away from the pair, as she considered how Nick might’ve felt, before in the hotel, and even now after hearing Seito’s tale. He was much younger than she had been when her parents were taken from her, yet Stella was certain it hurt and stung all the same. Not sure how to address the boy, Lady Lux Verum would simply choose to listen, and regard whatever words would arise.
That was until a scream rang out, from the direction of the stone courtyard down the street. Seito and the young queen both froze at the sound, before their eyes met with an understanding. They would both nod, then look to Nick, before Stella hastened to the front door to lock the deadbolt. ”Nicholas dear boy, would you please follow me?” instructed Seito with a wave. Stella would put her back to the door as the shade was drawn, the Closed sign flipped, her focus falling to Nick again as she nodded toward Seito. The old man would walk to the door at the far wall, waving again for young Laruzo, as he opened it to reveal a staircase to the Inn upstairs. ”Do not worry about Stella, she can handle herself. Hurry now!” The young queen would wait until the pair would disappear behind the door (if Nick heeded the elder’s direction), before she would round the far end of the bar. Pretending to tend to a rather needless wipe-down of the counter, Stella would keep a watchful eye open for Nick’s pursuer out the dirtied bay windows.

"Yes, that letter is mine. It was from my parents while they were on vacation. Reminding me that there had been a slight problem, and they would return in three months. They never did." Nick said as he softly took the letter back, putting it back into his pocket. The sound of crinkling being made as he put the parcel inside of his pocket. He then looked directly at Seito and followed him. He was quite surprised to know that his father knew him. The screaming that can be heard from outside terrified him a bit, didn't have the time to think about what caused it, or even what was going on outside the shop. As he followed the old man, he decided to converse with him. He doesn't have many people to talk to now a days, and he found this gentleman to be a bit trustworthy.
"I remember the days when I would be helping my dad deliver mail, while my mother did some relaxing sewing at home. Sometimes, I made mistakes with delivering packages. Which was delivering packages to the wrong destination. My father didn't really like that, but he forgave me anyways. It wasn't that big of a mistake. He always reminded me to be careful with handling and delivering packages. I will never forget that." He said to Seito as he followed him. While on his way, he could smell the fragrance of coffee beans. It seemed calming to him. The reason for this would be that he would usually wake up to coffee being brewed by his father in the morning, right before he would head off to his job delivering mail.
While he walked, he had other questions on his mind. Who was that dark figure in his dream? How would he use the darkness to unlock the power within his heart? He was unsure if he would ever get an answer at all. After all, this all happened in a dream. He was unsure about the validity of the information that was given to him by the dark figure in his dream. Another mystery for him to figure out.

Soft creaks in the wood of the stairs would call out to the pair whom climbed them. Seito would waste no time as he headed through an arch to the left at the top of the flight, the right being a hallway of rentable rooms. Entering a study, filled with an adornment of books upon shelves, the old man would round a messy desk. There was a globe, some other weird stuff in here too. A hat taking a nap maybe. After rummaging through the drawers for a moment, he would retrieve a small, brown wooden box. Forcing all the paperwork off the desk in a dramatic fashion, the old man then sat the box on the desk. Seito put his hands on his hips, nodding to Nick with a quirky raise of the brow.
”Bet you’re wondering what’s in that box huh?” he asked with a click of the tongue at the end. ”Well guess what kid I hate to break it to you…” Dramatic pause. ”But it’s a rock. Yep. Rock in a box. I know, real original. Who would have thought?” He looked at the box. He smiled, and shook his head at that box. Man, what a box. The old man looked back at Nick. ”Guess what that rock in that box does? Go on guess!” He made a buzzer noise. ”Time’s up! It does…something! What do you know of other worlds Nicholas!? Because that rock in that box, can take you to those worlds! The old man then reached over to the chain on the lamp sitting on the desk, and began to turn the dim light on and off very quickly, simultaneously making thunder sounds. He stood up and became very serious. ”I want you to take the rock, Nicholas. Use it to find your parents.”
He gave the boy an awkward hug, then walked out of the room.
These girls need some serious attention Stella thought to herself. Her eyes drifted over her nails as she inspected an upturned hand. The young royal sat bored at the bar, chin upon other hand as she had grown tired of maintaining the friendly barista ruse. It had grown quiet in her waiting for Seito’s return, and yet there remained no chores for the evening to be done, or morning, or whatever the hell time it was. She didn’t remember, nor cared at this point. All that the girl in the black jacket knew, was that it was getting late, and she was about ready for some sleep. She gave a glance to the windows, only to see nothing, before shrugging, and heading upstairs to the inn herself.
As she reached the top of the stairs, Stella would almost run into the old man, the moment he had finished his time with Nick. Frowning at him as he hobbled up a winding staircase to his quarters, she would head to her own room down the hallway. After locking the door, and climbing into bed, she would close her eyes, then go to sleep.

Nick looked at the rock he had been given, then back at the old man. He might of been a bit confused about how this magical rock would allow him to travel to other worlds, but he would probably find out another time.
"Thank you sir, I will make sure not to lose this rock." He said to Seito, watching him make his exit out of the room. He sat on the bed, taking his letter out. He began reading it to himself before he would give it a rest for the night. When he read through it, he noticed something interesting after reading the entire letter. The randomly colored letters actually spelled out something, an abbreviation. He didn't know what they meant. He took note to the abbreviations he had discovered. In total, he found three of them. The first one was in blue, second one in dark yellow, and the last one was in green.
"Let's see, the first abbreviation is olym, second one is agra, and the final one is d-w-l. Could these be referring to locations? I am just not sure. It's like a hidden clue was here the whole time, and I didn't take notice of it until now. Maybe, this clue will lead me to my parents." He thought to himself as he took out the magical rock that was given to him, holding it softly in his hands. He was curious to how he could use this rock. Maybe all he had to do was whisper one of the abbreviated words, and that the magical item would take him to where he needed to be. He put down the rock on the floor. He then whispered one of the abbreviated words.
"Olym..." He whispered to the magical rock. He then waited to see if anything special would happen, or if he would just get transported right away. Nothing was happening yet.
"I guess it takes a while to work." He said to himself as he sat on the floor, waiting for something to happen.

After what seemed like hours Vanitas did something he would hate doing, giving up. It was too much for him right now and he wanted to find that coward who he himself attacked earlier. So Vanitas called off his minions as they were absorbed back into him. Taking his time waiting was not something he could stand so as they all merged back into him Vanitas opened a corridor of darkness and left to what ever world he saw fit to go to this time.
"That kid better be thankful. You got lucky this time but next time I will make you suffer." he laughed manically as he entered the corridor of darkness and to wherever it would take him next.

The whispered syllable reverberated through the room, steadily growing in intensity until it shivered through every surface. Timbers creaked with growing protests and then began to rattle. Loose objects danced and toppled as localized seismic force pulsated through elementry particles and loosened potential energy only to have it dissipate through unseen apertures. For though all matter within the room convulsed, floor, ceiling, and walls rippling with undulations as if sold wood had became water tossed to and fro by tidal force, the rest of the building above and below remained completely untouched. The young man’s room was an isolated pond in time’s meandering jungle, his relic a tossed stone disturbing its newtonian placidity. This dissonant ‘Olym,’ continued to rise in pitch and breadth until marrow shuddered with pain and eardrums threatened to bleed. The air twisted and heaved, as if the visible world were simply a portrait a divine artist was crumpling up in frustration. Conical points formed and met in a claustrophobic haze that reduced empty space to melted glass. Swirls and gyre-shaped masses distorted everything until at last with a spine-chilling crack, something invisible but axiomatic to the world’s sane structure snapped in half, and the universe itself seemed to bleed. Cold unlike what any winter had ever brought rushed into the room, but it was Darkness not frost that coated the wake of this stygian exhalation. Ink-forms billowed outward, reaching out for any light and life. “GAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaAAAAAAHHHWWWWWAAAAIT!!!!”With a thud, a parcel of rumbled fabric and flailing limbs was deposited on the floor. In an eye-blink dimensional wounds and voluminous shades were gone, as if just a waking nightmare glimpsed behind heavy eyelids. A young man leaped to his feet, hands blazing with cerulean light and bruised face a mask of pure horror. “NO-no-please-I didn’t steal it!-OH GODS DON’T DISSEVER ME!-My-soul-belongs-my-soft-delicate-body-not-in-your….” The rush of words stilled slowly as the mage processed the boy’s surprisingly non-soulwrenching aspect. Puzzlement gave way to calculation, and with the whispered word the threatening blue light vanished. Opting for caution, the wizard swept into a deep bow worthy of any genteel court before the boy enthroned on the bed, the outer hem of his battered blue over-coat lightly brushing the floor. “Pray great summoner, why have you plucked me from the roiling firmament?” Nick Laruzo

Nick falls back a bit in surprise. Dropping his rock in the proccess. He didn't expect this to happen when he spoke the word "Olym". He thought that this rock would only allow him to travel to other worlds, not bring other people to him. He looked at the gentleman, then spoke to him.
"Summoned you? I didn't really intend to bring you here sir. I was actually hoping that I would be taken to another world." He said to the gentleman.
After he had said that, a magical portal appeared five feet to the right. He directed his eyes from the individual that was before him to the portal. The young man walked over to the portal, he was amazed and confused at the same time from what his eyes saw.
"What is this thing? is it like a door?" He asked himself, approaching the magical entity carefully. Nick put his hand through the magical door, he could feel some kind of cold wind from inside of it. Taking his hand out, he then put his left foot inside of it. Felt the same.
The young gentleman then thought of something, to walk through and see what would happen. Before he could do so, he looked at the person that was brought to him. Then decided to apologize to him since he had to be on his way to find his parents.
"I apologize if I disturbed you in anyway, but I must get going." He said to the other gentleman that was on the floor. Now that was done and over with, only thing left to do. Step through the magical portal. He looked at the big door and walked towards it. Taking the rock that he had received from Seito with him, including the letter he has been holding onto. As he entered it, he felt the cold wind surround him. It sucked him in gently as the door began to slowly disappear. He looked all around him, only seeing black and purple magical lights inside.
"Mother... father... I am coming to bring you home. I'll do whatever I can to find you. I can't let anything stop me from doing so." Nick thought as the portal completely vanished in a flash of light.
With the portal gone, the young gentleman would now be on his way. All he had to do now is sit and wait for something else to happen. It was quite a day for him. He would not forget the events that had taken place in his peaceful home of Traverse Town.

The novice worldwalker departed and Blaise was left to own puzzled thoughts. With nary an explanation or proper greeting his unintentional summoner had departed into the vast reaches of transient interspace despite indicating he knew little of portals. Blaise knew he himself wasn’t exactly the soul of prudence, but the younger man seemed recklessly calm in the face of the unknown. Ignorant of the myriad dangers of the In-between or even his destination, the boy had confidently strode through midnight’s aperture. Blaise admittedly envied that firm of will, though not the young man’s probable fate of being devoured by Heartless.
What drove him to leave so suddenly? What was he seeking?
What would would he find at the Thebian pinnacle if he even reached it?
“Oh well,” murmured Blaise, looking around the now empty room. “Free lodgings!”
