"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Black Waltz 3 stood among the many forests out in Gaia's wilderness, the body of a beaten and battered warrior clenched tightly in his clawed hands. He held the man up by his collar, armor reminiscent of an Alexandrian Knight, someone sent to investigate the rogue Black Mages, especially the Black Waltz 3. Of course... there were some differences. Firstly, his gender. Alexandrian soldiers were mostly female so he immediately stood out in the mind of the Black Waltz. Secondly, the engravings on his armor were slightly different... Ignoring the substandard quality, the Waltz was barely able to make out the insignia of one of the... unique branches of knights: The Knights of Pluto one of the only male divisions of soldiers under the commands of Captain Aldebert Steiner! His luck couldn't have been more perfect. Of course, the poorly disciplined man was easy to subdue, a mere smash from his staff being enough to dent his helm and send it flying from his head, leading to the situation they were in now. The Black Waltz jerked the man closer, his glaring Yellow eyes staring into his fearful, agonized face... "Where is your captain, human...?" The Waltz demanded, lightly tapping an electrified claw against the soldier's exposed temple. "Tell me... or you shall suffer a most painful death..."@sora

ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY The forest was a dark place filled with monsters that were bent on killing anything that moved, especially creatures that didn't live there. Sora was one such creature going through it alone. Why was he there and not at the gates of the beautiful cities? To simply put it simply, he was lost. Helplessly wondering while trying to survive, the boy relied on his heart to guide him. It said to go forward and so he did, without stopping except to find an easier path around big drops or caves that seemed to be built for people to fall in by accident.
At one point the path became difficult with thorns spread everywhere like weeds. It wasn't like Sora to give up so he persevered through it all. the teen still had a smile on his face. All this effort would be worth the trouble. The boy had never ever been to Gaia in all his years of otherworldly travels. So all he knew was that it was a new world where an adventure awaited him if he looked in the right place. So far he'd met no one. It was just monsters and small animals that didn't talk or sing, just did whatever animals do. It was somewhat disappointing but every world had their dark forests, this one was just really big.
The lonely journey progressed slowly. Eventually he stumbled upon something unexpected, something that didn't leave him with a sense of wonder. No, this was a dangerous situation involving a powerful monster -that kinda looked like a bigger nastier Vivi- and someone that was being tortured. He didn't know what was happening but he knew he needed to do something.
Immediately Sora summoned his keyblade.
”Hey, let him go!” He yelled at the tall one with the glowing eyes and hat. Sure this was meddling in the affairs of another world but Sora didn't obey the rules that let people get hurt. Getting closer also meant putting himself in closer range of the unknown dangers. Sora could stay back and fire off rounds of ranged magic but that didn't have the same effect. He was going to get up close and personal.
"You should pick on someone your own size!" Those were fighting words. Sora could back them up and was prepared for a throw down. But first, he needed to help the one in the grip of the winged monster. He really did look like Vivi.
Then he wondered, was this Vivi's world? Too bad he wasn't close with that kid. He was a great struggler but not one for a lot of words. But quiet people could also be friendly so Sora would take a chance on him. Next time he was in twilight town, he'd pay him a visit and tell him what he'd seen in Gaia.
Getting back into the right mindset, he waited for his foe's first move. Would he drop the armored soldier and focus on him?

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" The Creature's glowing eye twitched at the demand for his captive's release, his head slowly turning to glance over his shoulder. There, with an absurdly large Key in hand, stood a boy with stupidly large shoes and an even more absurd outfit. He wasn't that large too, barely coming up to half the Waltz's height if he counted his outrageous hair style. He glared at the child as he continued to speak, looking over him with mild interest, recognizing something in him... While he didn't have anywhere near the grace in his stance nor the features of him, this kid reminded the machine of that white-haired swordsman he'd engaged not to long ago. It was the clothes really... Seemed to match up... The strange weapon in hand too helped him draw lines between him and that other man... Brought out the worst in the Waltz. "You've made a grave error in interrupting a Black Waltz." The winged mage rumbled, turning his head back to face the knight... He seemed to afraid... easily broken like a toy in the hands of it's maker. "You... and this man... Will die." Without any warning or indication, the massive Black Waltz would whirl around, hurling the the wounded soldier at the boy, daring him to dodge! Dodge and let this man die against the trunks around them! He knew that this kid wouldn't let it happen... Heroic types always so predictable. Not an instant after the man's armor had been released from his grip, Black Waltz 3 had already unleashed a bolt of THUNDER from his palm, tracking the wounded man mere inches behind him! "Let's see how much of a hero you are, child..." The Waltz murmured Thunder Spell cast right behind the man he threw at sora, making catching him and dodging REALLY difficult. @sora

ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY The bearer of the keyblade shortly became the bearer of a body. Sora was caught of guard by the unexpected toss of the wounded soldier so he was trampled, pushing him down under the weight of the injured man. Then that crackle of lightning shocked the pair of humans. It wasn't much to Sora but the soldier yelped then went limp. The man before him was now fully knocked out and likely dying if not already dead. Panicked, the wielder wiggled from underneath to free himself. The guy was heavy, a testament of strength for that monster, but Sora was free in a second.
No moment to rest or think, Sora acted fast.
”Heal!” The teen said, casting magic on the soldier. A bell like flower of white and soft orange hues rung above the man, beautiful scents and green energy spreading over him in a rush of curing magic. After that Sora waited a second. It looked like he was still breathing. The blader was relieved. The hard part, getting the soldier out of harms way, was done. Putting his full attention on the big guy, the teen made sure he was standing between his enemy and his ward.
His opponent got him with a dirty trick. Anyone would be left a little angry, including Sora who was visibly angry. He was tired and his usual positive vibe was drained from arduous travel. He was now also injured from the thunder spell. But things weren't going to get better before getting worse.
Sora had to make sure this Black Waltz guy couldn't take advantage of the wounded soldier anymore.
"So what if I am young. I can fight." He said. The boy then pointed his key at the titan.
"Blizzard!" With that he used his own magic to created a sphere of ice. It launched forward, an attack that threatened to harm the Black Waltz if he stayed still.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Beneath the shadows that hid his face, a wide, sharp-toothed smiles etched into his face as he watched the Hero do what they do best: Take hits for the vulnerable. Lightning arched from the soldier to the child as he caught the armored man (already a physically impressive feat for a child). Still, his thunder was only meant to kill one of those targets... The man seemed to crumble under the force of his lightning strike, his chest falling flat... but only for a second. Much to the Waltz's annoyance, the boy cast some kind of green spell atop the wounded Pluto Knight, the scorch-marks from his spell disappearing, breath filling his lungs once more... but the more major wounds he sustained were in tact. Alive... but barely. "Heal...?" The Waltz inquired quietly to himself, raising a talon just below his lower lip. "He means Cure..." The child protested Black Waltz 3's observation that he was young, claiming he could fight! Well... he was strong... but that meant nothing. Unless he could fight... his last moments would be the epitome of hopelessness. "Child... where are your parents...?" The Waltz inquired, a seemingly genuine edge of concern in his voice. "Have you fled them...? Have you hurt them...?" An even sharper edge carved aimed to cut into Sora's soul. "Have you killed them?"The moment he stopped speaking, Sora unleashed a ban icy projectile from the tip of his key-like weapon under the name of... 'Blizzard.' This... This was what counted for a Blizzard attack...? Black Waltz 3 simply folded a wing across his body, the limb intercepting the small orb as it slammed into him, skidding the massive Black Mage... a bit. Huh... pain... several of his feathers were frozen too... Nothing notable. The Black Waltz simply re-extended his wing and folded it behind his back, lightly tapping his staff upon the ground. "This is a TRUE Blizzard attack, boy!" The Waltz declared! From where the butt of his staff had knocked the ground, a massive wave of COLD ripped across the earth towards the child! The moment it got underneath him, like jaws of a great beast, two jagged, icy shards shot up from beneath him to clamp down upon him from both sides! The instant they came in contact with each-other, though, they shattered, in a mighty icy crash! BW3 Health: 96% Thunder: Cooldown completed Blizzard: 1 turn cooldown

ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY Black Waltz’s every word was getting under Sora’ skin. That was a difficult achievement that only a few villains managed to do. Alongside contempt, a growing ball of disgust burrowed to the bottom of the bearer’ abdomen, peaking in size when the giant mage taunted the boy about his parents.
He wanted to lash out, shout, yell, and scream at this huge jerk. That wasn't normal. Something inside of himself was gone or maybe it was something new, left behind by Xehanort. So Sora didn't want to give into it. It would be like diving off a cliff after spending so much effort to climb up from the pit where the darkness had nearly swallowed him.
”You can try all you want. My light is to strong to be broken.” He said, keeping calm and watching the Black Waltz cast another spell for the same dilemma.
He dared not avoid the attack because the soldier behind him was still lying there. If he could wake then Sora could tell him to run.
The twinned jaws of freezing magic clipped him and shattered. Pain and numbing cold chewed on his chest and legs. Sora's body could handle it as long as he had the will to fight. That was a lesson he learned a long time ago, before the keyblade chose him as it's wielder.
The keyblader was steady, but he didn't have any ground to win a battle of spells. Not without Reflect, a spell which he'd lost but desperately needed here.
What he did have were his melee skills. But in using them there was a risk for the injured knight. The big Black Waltz promised both of their deaths so Sora promised himself that neither of them would die.
Shouting loudly and running forward, Sora took the offense in melee. It was an impulsive and probably stupid idea but it was something that changed the circumstances.
First his body propelled off the dirt, delivering him into the air at the mage monster. This was for an attack needing powerful momentum. His keyblade was a piercing tool with this ability, bypassing guards and undoing blocks.
Then by redirecting himself into a spin midair, Sora lobbed his keyblade overhead like the head of a whip to deliver it into the flesh of the black waltz with a powerful bludgeoning blow. This was his Aerial Finisher, the strongest attack he'd regained for melee.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" The Black Waltz was actually rather impressed the boy had managed to survive his Blizzard spell the way he had, clearly damaged by the cold but still managing to keep on his feet. Tough, but not smart. "You and every other fallen hero had made such claim." He rumbled, taking Sora's 'light' comment as a figure of speech. "Each one of them fell at my feet..." He could only assume that Riku somehow knew this child... Their similar weapons and personalities just seemed to fit together. If he got this wrong, it would no-doubt blow up in his face and completely backfire but if he was right... Then maybe he could break that 'light' of his. Let's start with some good ol' persuasion. "There was another who claimed he'd stop me... Riku was it...? He's dead." The Waltz chuckled darkly as the young Keyblade-weilder charged him so arrogantly. Of course, the telling of the kid's death was somewhat exaggerated though judging by the tone of the machine... one wouldn't be able to tell such. With a wave of his hand, a surge of flame washed over the area in front of him, his Fira spell acting like a tidal force of magic searing the ground black, instantly scorching the woods before him and setting the forest ablaze. "He was strong... cool in the face of his doom, but in the end he burned as you will BURN." With how HUGE this Fira was, it would've been foolish indeed for Sora to do anything but back-pedal, let alone charge right into it! However, if he still decided to do so, the kid would blast out the other-side of his spell, no doubt having sustained heavy damage... and Also leaving the poor wounded soldier alone to cope by himself... He was awake now, crying out and fear as the flames hunted him down! Sora had abandoned his heroic measures to get at the Black Waltz 3, the first step to breaking him! If Sora went on the offense despite BW3's attack, He would, with mighty flap of his wings he would retreat back far enough to avoid the thrust, but not far enough to deal with that whirling areal counter! The blade hooked downward, swiping at the massive mage's head, Striking hard against his face and managing to clip a good bit of his hat-rim in the process, jerking his head downward... His eyes glowed, enraged as his hand reached out quickly to grab Sora by the throat while he still hung in the air, Frost energies washing over him to Freeze him completely solid! It wouldn't do any damage on it's own, but the icy shell he had constructed would most certainly restrain his movement in it's entirety. If all this came about, The Waltz would throw the boy HARD to the ground, smashing his childish form against the earth with a brutal crash! As the forest burned all around them (also no doubt threatening Sora with smoke inhalation), the Waltz would bend down and take the boy in his grip again, this time by the face. "Join your comrades in death." He would proclaim, the gleam of his sharpened, needle-like teeth shining through the darkness that cast over his face. With those last words said, electricity would crackle about his palm surging with electricity! A massive Thundara-electric pulse would flood into the frozen child, super-charging his body with enough magical force to fry any normal soldier inside out! Fira: 2 turn cooldown (targeting both the wounded soldier and Sora) Moderate damage
Freeze: (Used only if Sora Braved the Fira-spell and went on the offensive) Prevents action for 1 turn. 3 turn cooldown.
Thundara: (Used only if Freeze was successful) 2 turn cooldown. Moderate Damage
BW3's Health: 90%

ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY Sora stopped in his tracks before attacking with his keyblade (undoing the melee moves of the previous turn). Seeing fire erupt from the titan mage, he couldn't carry through with his plan of attack. It threatened to burn Sora and the injured knight to ash. So acting quick, the boy did a 180 and went to the soldier. Behind his feet heat cooked the forest, trees and all. The pair would perish if they didn't get out of harms way.
It seemed the soldier was awake, thank goodness; however, he didn't looke like he'd walk on his own two feet for a while. Aiding the wounded man, Sora called out the power of healing again. The green wash of magic over the injuries and helped him recharge even if just to flee. Then Sora picked him up and they tried to make an escape. But intense flames scorched the ground behind them too swiftly. Only by throwing the injured knight behind a large tree trunk was Sora able to help. In doing that the keyblader wasn't able to help himself from the Fira.
Sustaining damage, he fell to the ashen ground. But this wasn't his end. He got forced himself back up, brushing off the dirt and coughing on the smoke.
"You call that fire? Your less of a Black Waltz and more like of a Red Nocturne!" Sora taunted. Though the boy had no idea if the mage knew what kind of heartless that was, he considered the comparison hilarious. Also the resemblance was uncanny now that he was seeing the similarities. A lot of heartless had many traits that were the same. Dark face with glowing eyes under the hat, elemental powers, a general tendency to destroy things.
"What are you anyway, three stacked heartless in a coat?" He wouldn't let Black Waltz be the only wise cracker. It helped the teen get back on top of this battle mentally too. If his opponent was trying to break him then it was right to diffuse his words with his own and just ignore what his enemy was saying.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" The Forest burns around this child and he acts as if his Fire was but a jest? Truly, the smoke was starting to corrupt his mind. Besides the fact, the child had taken his Fira-spell (granted not the full force of it) and managed to cast another healing spell upon the wounded soldier, granting him the strength to flee in such a short amount of time... t'was impressive... To recieve praise from the Black Waltz 3, even if it went unsaid was the a high compliment indeed. He was quite the tough little warrior, despite his GRATING arrogance. Clearly he believed himself the superior combatant even with all the evidence to the contrary... T'was amusing in a way. With the Knight of Pluto having safely made his escape out into the world, All that was left was Sora and the machine standing amid a burning, blazing forest as the black cloud of smoke hovered above them both, a hazard to only one. "Even if, by some miracle you continue to survive my attacks, eventually the background dangers will take you... Tell me, which do you think will kill you first? The Smoke...? or Flames?" Of course, Black Waltz 3 was fully confident in his abilities to finish of this admittedly agile runt... He just required one solid blow... "Come, brat. If you believe yourself superior to I, prove it... Or do run and tell that Soldier I'll be catching up with him soon. Either way, I shall prevail."@tag

ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY Exposed to the dirty forest floor, the inured soldier raised himself up to retreat from the dueling pair, not a cowardly move considering his mortal injuries. The exhausted teen exhaled from his sore lungs, finally relieved of his promised duty as the protector of a stranger. Starving himself the satisfaction of a full on assault, Sora acknowledged the strength of his mystic opponent by not rushing into danger. Instead the bearer refocused his mind away from a barren mindscape of cheap insults to the greener pastures of an actual battle plan. Though bursting with energy, the keyblader's ideas were not brilliant strategies. His abilities carried the boy over hoards of heartless but here they may not prove adequate tools. Departing from worry, he dashed forward with anxiety squashed down in his gut by swelling bravery.
"It's you and me!" He braced his body for the force of leaping. Over the scorched earth he sailed higher than any average person with his keyblade thrusting like the bow of a ship. The bludgeoning tip and the teeth served a double purpose. First to strike and second to wedge itself. This was Sora's opening ability with the power to overcome normal guards and blocks. Exploding off rebounding momentum he probed his luck with a combination of swings. First strike swiftly aimed for the monster's board wing then the second clubbing whatever happened to stick out.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Even though the Waltz wouldn't admit it even to himself, without the soldier as his little personal Sora-magnet, he would find himself at a severe disadvantage now... Even with all the flames and the smoke and the heat and all that which would EVENTUALLY have an effect on Sora most likely and with the Waltz not being subject to such fears, the Machine had two certain disadvantages that put him at risk in this fight: He couldn't fly being the first one. The forest above was now a mess of gnarled burning branches and twisted trunks up above, and that meant his magic casting potential was severely crippled. If he couldn't take to the air, he was vulnerable to the boy's swings with his sword-key-thing and his spells weren't as great as they could be. The second problem with this battle field (and one of his own making) was the smoke created by the burning wood. The Waltz need not breath but he did need to see... and amid the darkness, he was having trouble locating the boy's exact position. This meant that every spell he wasted trying to pinpoint Sora's exact location meant another one he couldn't use for a short while, giving more openings for the boy to attack... Much as what would happen now... With Sora on the attack, The Black Waltz stood his ground (as that was about all he could do), Sending a blast of Thunder his way! If this didn't hit (likely given the smoke) Sora's areal attack would come down like a hammer on the machine, his overhead-strike cleaving at the monster's chest, the second a thrust that struck the Waltz's right in the stomach! Hissing in pain, the machine tapped his staff against the ground, a wave of Blizzard shooting out around him in a blind effort to punish Sora for getting so close! Should this too fail the follow up strikes would slam into the Black Waltz with visciousness, the first cutting at his wing, the second striking wildly at his head which he barely leaned back in time to dodge! The machine would lash out with his foot, intent on striking the boy in the chest and send him reeling back, raising his hand to fire off a Fire-ball his way too! ONE SKY, ONE DESTINY Crackling electricity glanced the ferocious keyblader. Pushing through but having his nerves numbed by the sparks, Sora's swings stuck (from the last post). But not even a moment later his strikes were walled by a wave of freezing wind. Re leaving in the way that it helped cool him down but his reflexes again inhibited by the frosting magic. Since this was the best opportunity for offense he couldn't stop even if the keyblade felt heavy than a large body. He tripped on landing that last blow (to his enemy's face) and fell to a knee. His breathing was hard before but after those swings he was inhaling too much smoke. He let off a string of coughs, opening himself to an assault by a foot.
Knocked back Sora fell flat on his bum. He yelped at the push. Then the black waltz launched a fire ball which came at him quicker than a bullet. The boy reacted just in time by rolling over on his front. He breathed in the dirt and soot which were equally terrible. He rolled his face to see the earth beside him. It was horribly scorched by the magic blast. A meter deep hole was there. It could have been Sora instead of the dirt. He winced at the searing heat inside him and the stinging in his muscles.
He forced himself up on his feet. Thinking about going right for the the monster again, he thought too slowly. His body already knew what it wanted to do. It wanted out. The smoke was burning him inside and the heat hurting him on the outside.
A forest fire was something he didn't really think about being a danger to him. but now he understood why using fire near a lot of trees was a really horrible idea. Even with the plants being a foot away their blazing fires created an aura of suffering for the boy. There were too few ways out already so staying at the epicenter of the fire storm would close them by the time the boy finished the battle. One thing to do. Something that he didn't really like doing.
He wheezed, then giving in to fear he turned his butt to the titan and went as far from the fire as he could. It sucked to run away but this was just bad, really bad.

"Get out of my way! Do you dare fight a Black Waltz?" Black Waltz 3 was disgusted that the only hit he had landed came from the wild boot he threw in Sora's direction, knocking the child on his rear... though the magic attack he'd thrown as a follow-up had missed. Giving into his cowardice, the boy had decided to run away, weaving through the burning forest in a desperate attempt to escape! ...This... was something he would allow... The fire was JUST NOW starting to get out of control and that meant the lush-green forest was now a burning inferno of gnarled branches and smoke. His teeth bared in a snarl, the Waltz raised his staff, a massive BOLT of Thundra erupting from it's tip, blasting a large hole in the ceiling of gnarled branches above! With a mighty flap of his wings, the Waltz propelled himself through the gap in hell, hovering in the air above the fire he had created! "He will never survive..." The Waltz chuckled, content with this outcome. As he had ascessed before, even if this boy's luck had held up with him so far, the burning trees and smoke wouldn't be so forgiving... The machine shook his head, his lips curling upward into a wide, needle-toothed smile visible through his shadow-veiled face. He began to fly off in the direction that knight had fled, scanning the area around the forest fire below. "I will return later to retrieve that weapon off his body... Something about it is... unique."@tag
