Fair Heart, Fair Beauty
It was all so very beautiful! The kingdom of Corona apparently did the thousands and thousands of golden gleaming lanterns once every year and had a huge festival to celebrate. She understood that it was in honor of Rapunzel, and the tradition was a true celebration as she had returned home at last. It filled Snow White's heart with so much happiness to see the joy and festivity that went on for days. Truly there was something to be said about the hope and spirit of these people, to believe for so long that their lost one might return to the someday. She clasped her hands together, wandering the stalls and streets as the celebrations continued despite night falling.
It was as the sun passed the horizon, and stars began to shine in the night sky, that people gathered on balconies and causeways and even in boats to participate or simply spectate as the first few golden lanterns were released into the night. Soon there were hundreds, shining, shimmering, simply splendid and amazing, filling the sky with a dazzling golden set of 'stars'. It took one's breath away, to see such a sight. Truly, it was magnificent, and Snow White could only stand and gaze up at the stunning show. She was offered a lantern of her own by one of the kind people nearby and she was delighted to join in. The lantern was warm, but in a soft kind of way, and in a moment it drifted from her hands into the air, floating up to join the rest of the glowing dance in the night sky.
