Walking past several of these odd oversized keys, Syel tried to think the reason of this all. Thinking back on the mission in the Library of the Ancients, there was the big guy also holding an oddly shaped weapon, much the same like these things. Yet here... here there was an enormous quantity of them. Do they all originate from here? she could feel some odd Mist from them, possibly there was something special about them. Grasping hold of one with both hands, the viera put some strength in as she pulled it out of the ground. Looking over it and feeling it out, it seemed whatever special power it held, she could not make use of it.
Her eyes slowly scanned the land that stretched out further and further, all filled with these enormous keys. "Curious, but what are these?" she had come here when her systems sensed the Darkness being here, but found these immense number of keys instead. Some of the younger members of the clan came with her, but were now looking around as the four of them split up. If anything was found, she was sure they would call her over. At least they discussed to return back to the Gummi Ship in a few hours if nothing was found.
Looking over the key she was holding, Syel pulled some rope from her pockets and strapped the key before pulling out another to try and collect a few. Perhaps she could figure some things out if she just gathered a few of them. "I'm sure nobody will miss a few of these," she said as she moved a bit further while dragging the two keys on her rope after her to check if any of them looked a bit interesting to collect, "treasures ask to be collected after all." Putting her attention to another decorated key, she pulled it out and stuck the rope through the opening at the 'handle' as she dropped it with the other two. ulla

This desolate wasteland, torn by war and winds was completely silent save for the harsh and sharp gales that blew across it's battered landscape. Why was he even here...? No, it didn't matter why. What mattered was searching for something that could remove his affliction. He stared down at the stretching desert from the top of a cliff, his cape violently whipped about by the wayward wind's force. His attention was mostly drawn by the thousands of key-shaped monoliths that jutted out from the lifeless grounds... Grave markers he assumed, a closer observation revealed that they seemed to converge. Though they were sparsely placed about all around, there was an area in the distance where hundreds seemed to have gathered in a single confined space. He stood up and hopped off of the cliff, sliding down the side of it towards the lowered ground ahead. He wandered towards that area calmly, noting it's location. As he drew closer, he felt something strange...As if despite this world being completely desolate.
... He wasn't alone. He drew Cerberus from it's holster, still keeping it at his side, but with his hand gripping it, ready to fight if he had to. After all, there was no telling what a creature would have to be like in order to survive living in a place like this. His suspicions of not being alone seemed to be correct as the sound of people conversing struck his ears, easy to pick out from the near-silence the world itself provided. He quickly ducked behind a rock formation in order to listen in on whoever they were, he wasn't going to attack them yet, not unless he had to. He couldn't make out their words from here save for a few. "Let's split up to cover more ground" seemed to be what they were saying. For now he stayed out of sight, watching as three people spread out across the wastes, going their own separate ways... All except for one, who headed right towards the epicenter of these strange graves. He watched for the others to leave before coming out of hiding, making his way towards the strange bunny-eared woman. He approached right as she mentioned "No one will miss a few of these", and not long after, also heard her say something about treasures..."Strange... I wasn't aware graves were valuable."His pistol remained at his side still, even as he made his presence known to the woman collecting keys from their resting places. He certainly wasn't looking to pick a fight, but he didn't fully trust this group yet. They could have been thieves after all.--- Syel the Green

[attr="class","niknik"] [attr="class","niknik4"]ciru-ajiru, blue mage | [attr="class","niknik2"]This place was far better than the previous place in Ciru-Ajiru’s opinion. They weren’t in the clouds, they weren’t underground, there wasn’t any chances of falling down from heaven of possible tunnel collapsing to end up in hell or something. Not that the last scenario is likely, outside the fact you could very well get stuck underground. A dungeon out in the open was definitely the best. Even if it was a wasteland covered in keys. "Whataru key fits whataru lock?" he asked while pulling out a key.
The tarutaru wondered if there were like chests or dungeon doors somewhere, maybe at the mountains in the distance. Maybe Syel would want to go there, he thought while staring out at the horizon. Ciru-Ajiru preferred they stuck out here, but something told him that it wouldn’t last too long. Also there was nothing to kill out here thus far. Even the Heartless hadn’t shown thus far. Looking around, he didn’t notice any other guards, they probably wandered off on their own.
All this research wasn’t really for Ciru-Ajiru, he preferred to not have to think too much on things. Still, he felt he was a ‘thinker’, but in his own way. At least he felt himself smarter than most adventurers, who walked into traps, monsters, and the like while expecting him to save them. Always happy to be rid of the stupid ones that ran off without checking on the healer. Plus even as the ‘healer’, he was very capable of holding his own. Or just holding everyone else down while he murdered them.
Turning back to where they left from, Ciru-Ajiru headed towards Syel to opt some suggestions, but as he walked back, a person came into sight. It seemed someone was stalking the officer of their clan. "Hey!!" he shouted as the small blue mage dashed towards the two, hearing the man speak of graves, pulling out his scimitar, he readied himself to attack the man, "whataru graves? These are keys, probably for some treasures, who are you and whataru you wantaru?" he asked in an angered tone, ready to blast the man with magic or slice the man down to size.

Hearing the voice, Syel looked up at the man before looking at the keys again. She didn't really get the idea of graves so quickly, there were a lot of them. Though, before she could respond, another voice intervened. Looking at the small figure of Ciru-Ajiru placing himself between them, Syel tilted her head a little. "As Ciru-Ajiru mentioned most crude, I was not aware these were graves," Syel replied in a friendly tone while her hands went out to the small blue mage.
Trying to push down the arm holding the scimitar, Syel tried to remove the hostility from this situation. "Then you're the grave keeper here?" she asked in a kind tone, "I hope I'm not a burden, but I was just trying to learn more about this place." A light bow towards the man. "If you planted these graves, I can place the keys back where they came from. There didn't seem to be any towns, cities, or rather any kind of civilization on this world. We checked it beforehand from space before we landed here." She hoped she hadn't caused enough trouble to warrant hostility, even though Ciru-Ajiru went quite offensive immediately.
Syel tried to go by how the man had reacted thus far, seeing he had simply mentioned the graves in a casual sense and not been hostile towards them. She could see some others immediately attack them when removing parts of a grave. Yet these things were so scattered about that if there were graves, she'd assume most corpses were stabbed by the keys. The space between each key was too little to be capable of holding a person of this man's size. Unless this was a baby graveyard, that just sounded terrible in her head at all. ulla

As he approached the woman and fired off his single sentence, he heard a voice call out in an admonishing tone, he looked over to witness a very small...Child...? The last thing he expected to see here was someone so young, but this lad seemed rather feisty, jumping in to the defense of the woman in green. He WOULD have become more alert at this, however, the woman spoke - Expressing surprise over the situation. ... So, they weren't grave robbers then. He shook his head at her question."I only just arrived here. You're the first living things I've seen. ... Sorry."He grabbed hold of his cape, flipping it outwards as he extended his arm. Though he was hesitant to speak of such things, it was clear from his tone that he had misunderstood the situation entirely. He looked down at the Tarutaru in blue, nodding slowly."Keys... But do you see any doors around here? Any locks to be opened? Maybe they aren't graves, but someone left them here for some reason. If they're really as important as you claim, I don't think they were put here willingly..."He lowered his head in response to Ciru's question, closing his eyes for a moment before opening them."... Vincent Valentine. I'm...Searching for something."He left his purpose vague, though it was clear from his tone that it likely wasn't for sinister reasons, rather... He seemed to not know exactly WHAT he was looking for. He looked back to the woman in green, she seemed apologetic... He had his weapon holstered, so it seems she likely wasn't a threat. Or at the very least, not an immediate threat."... It doesn't matter what you do with the keys."He crossed his arms, thinking to himself for a moment."... If you find out anything, maybe you can tell me too. I haven't seen any towns either. Not even ruins... I have a very bad feeling about this world."He was understandably cautious, though... He seemed calm now at the very least. Perhaps the two who had been set upon by this strange crimson man could get some cooperation out of him now that he wasn't on the alert.--- Syel the Green @ciruajiru
