(Music)In all of the craze that's been going on in her world, meeting Skuld and Terra, battling the Heartless... Vaneera didn't hear about something that had happened straight away. But the news was dropped on her nearly as soon as she went home. Motet's Mother had gone missing, and given the signs of struggle at the last known location... They suspected it was an attack, potentially by the Heartless. At least, that was what she was told. The only other thing that was known was that Motet was missing too. Once that fact settled in, Vaneera immediately set off back into the city in an attempt to search for Motet! Her childhood friend...
Vaneera didn't want to imagine something happening to her. In a sense, something already DID. Motet may not have liked her mother much, but to have a parent die... It was going to affect anyone negatively. Of course, even as she was running at her full speed, trying to track down where her best friend could have gone... The Heartless kept cropping up, getting in her way due to her Keyblade. She didn't even waste a second thought on them.
"Get out of my way!", she roared, swiping her keyblade mid-run at each of the dark creatures that ended up in her path, cutting her way through them and keeping her stride. But it did give her a thought, maybe if she kept moving towards the greatest source of darkness... She could find Motet. It would mean running into many more Heartless at the same time, but she didn't care about that. It wasn't going to stop her from helping her friend!
At the pace she was going, it wouldn't take her too long to find this particular source of darkness... And sure enough, she'd arrive to find her childhood friend. Vaneera was still in her battle-high, leaping straight into action and cutting away any nearby Heartless. "Hagh!!", with another shout and impressive flourish of the blade, she'd put an end to the encroaching wave that was chasing her down. Taking a breath, she'd turn to Motet.
"Motet, are you alright?", she'd ask. Her adrenaline still surging from the entire event.

Never lived, Never died, your life has been denied They call you the Lucifer's angel
The source of that darkness would likely not be what Vaneera expected. The heartless were attracted by that darkness, radiating like light to the heartless, attracting them like flies around Motet. As Vaneera struck them down they kept popping up again and again, the darkness coming off Motet praticully forming a pillar for them to follow to her, the keyblade only made them want more. It was much like A swarm in that area, more than what usually popped up for sure. Evenually however their would be a calm in between their influx where Vaneera turned to check on her. Looking at her Vaneera would likely noticed her expression. Weak, tired. She was nothing like her usual energetic self. She reached out a hand towards her friend, but Quickly recalled it, balling her hands at her side as she looked at her friend with sadness.
"Your... Not here to purge me... Right Vani..? Mama... Said... I just feed... Your key now..."
Her voice was weak, the girl had clearly detached herself far more than usual. She even detached herself from controlling the darkness within her after her mom's speech to her. The darkness however would bring no harm to Vaneera despite it attracting all these heartless. If anything were Vaneera to reach past it and towards Motet it would have a warm feeling compared to most she came into contact with. Motet's darkness even as out of control as it was right now... Wasn't cold.
Something that might seem odd to some.
Motet coudn't bring herself to talk much. She was so happy to see Vani but... Not that she saw her like this. Not when she knew the truth. Not with her so angry... So mad... So.. so sad. She was a mess. Why did Vani have to come now? If she just let her make things right... Get things under control first... Stop the monster trying to use her. That manipulating jerk. She hated him! Took them in just to use them. Her as an example, a lesson. Vaneera as his hero, his weapon. His way to make a little army! It made her so... Mad. No one used her Vani! No one controlled her. She just wanted Vani... To have her own control. Her own destiny. She was a hero!

Seeing the horrible state that her friend was in deeply troubled Vaneera. The words that Motet uttered next did little to help that feeling. Not to mention all of the Heartless being so attracted to this area, especially now that the Keyblade was here... No, that was wrong. It wasn't just this area, or the Keyblade. As much as she didn't want to believe it, that Darkness had gripped Motet... She had no idea what caused all of this, or why it had to end up this way. But she wasn't going to let it end like this either!
Vaneera reached out, grabbing Motet's hand and braving the Darkness in the process. "I don't know what's going on, Motet... But you're my friend. That won't change!", she'd answer, standing defiant even as they were both in Darkness, and Heartless swarmed around them... So long as Vaneera had her Keyblade... "Motet, I'm going to cut us a path out of here, just leave it to me!" she would then turn to the encroaching Heartless once more, and would begin to slash fiercely at each one that dared to come within her reach.
She stood next to Motet, however. Intent on protecting her. Though she still listened to what the troubled girl was saying... "Who, Motet?", she questioned, trying to make sense of the message that her friend was trying to give. Vaneera couldn't make heads or tails of it... Just what really happened after all? Thoughts raced through her head as she held the line against those shadowy creatures.
"Tch... Persistent bunch! But it doesn't matter, I've fought plenty of Heartless, this time it won't be any different!", she then shouts to show confidence. Right now, she needed to be a beacon for Motet. Guide her out of this dark place she had gotten into... Even if she couldn't just cut straight through and open a path for them, she could at least hold them off until they stopped coming. Vaneera just needed to show them that this prey wasn't as weak or enticing as they thought.------ Motet Oratorio

"Friend... I...am? Your not here to... Purge me?""
Her eyes were hazy, heavy as she looked to her friend. She felt warmth as her friend reached out and grabbed her hand. She wasn't going to... She still wanted her...? Even with the darkness flowing free from her? Vaneera was supposed to stop the dark right? She was... It was inside her, spreading out from her. But Vani still wanted to help her... To be her friend. Was mother wrong...? She had to be. Had to be. Vani wouldn't hurt her. She showed that again. Vani was a hero. She just wanted to help. Motet wanted to help her to. Could she like this...? It had all been lies. From mother and that horrible man. She watched as each heartless came in, only to be felled at her hero's blade. No heartless was able to get past her guard, so determined she was to keep anyone from touch her. It was enough to make a small smile appear on her face as Vaneera declared she would cut a path through for them. Mother was wrong, yes she had to be. Vaneera was the same as she had always been. She was Van Van, a hero.
Her hero
She was able to stand to her feet now, though still unable to properly fight back in her weakend state. She would launch the occasional kick to knock a heartless back to help Vani, but she was for the most part a glorified heartless magnet right now. Through it all Vaneera asked what she meant with her words and for a moment she remained completely silent. Vaneera cared about and trusted her, they had been the closest of friends since they were young. But she still didn't know if Vaneera would believe her, or rather she wouldn't call her a liar, but think she misunderstood. She didn't. She knew and she saw. He was the liar... In so many ways, just as bad as mother. But she couldn't just keep it from Vaneera ether...
"Mother... And... Uncle Nore lied... Lied lied... I wasn't supposed to be... I'm just an example... Why it's bad... Used and discarded. Mom didn't get what she wanted... Uncle Nore got his lesson"
She was still weak, her mind a haze that prevented her from being as clear as she was to be right now. She couldn't make the words flow right despite wanting them to. Yet still Vaneera's call gave her confidence, she knew Vani was a hero. The hero of this world. That much she did believe with all her heart. She summined her Scythe to her hand, though not held as expertly as her training would have usualy allowed the weapon was still deadly. Though her expression was weak their was a fire in her eyes that could be clearly seen if Vaneera looked. Motet believed in her and that belief gave her the strength to keep going.
"Van van yes let's break through!"

(Music)"Why would I come here to purge my own friend, Motet?", Vaneera asked, confused by the implications behind Motet's words... Whatever it was that happened, it was something that shook her friend to the very core of her being. To go as far as to believe that Vaneera could ever harm her for any reason... Well, she wasn't going to hold that against her either! Besides, they did still need to fight their way out of this mess. Or at least Vaneera did. Motet didn't seem to be in much of a condition to fight.
To be honest, she's impressed that her friend made it this long without a Keyblade. The red haired girl already knew how hard it was to deal with the Heartless with such a weapon. She couldn't imaging squaring off with them without anything like that. Hell, the last she knew, Motet didn't even practice that much magic... Which also made it difficult to get answers. Motet could barely hold a straight conversation right now, so Vaneera would have to get the full story later. That was fine, she was more focused on getting her to safety. Everything else could be sorted out later!
Motet summoned her weapon to her hands, and was prepared to at least help out in combat. Vaneera decided to comment on this. "Don't worry if it's too hard, Motet! Just point out any that get too close, and I'll deal with them!", she offered encouraging words to Motet, and with that out of the way... Vaneera flew into action once again. Her Keyblade was still guiding her, but her combat experience made it seem like more of a natural flow. If she ever gets the opportunity to train with Skuld, she could likely learn some real techniques to make it shine.
But this would be plenty to start cutting a path through the Heartless for now! She was using one of her most powerful techniques. Strike Blitz, to be exact. The red cloaked warrior vanished from the spot, and re-appeared in front of a Heartless only to strike it down in an instant. Then she would vanish again, and reappear for yet another Heartless. She did this several times...
No, it was accurate to say that she wasn't stopping. The technique was draining, of course. But right now she was in a type of battle high, filled with adrenaline and a NEED to get Motet out of this safely. So she was pushing herself beyond her limitations, especially since the Heartless were pulling out all stops and coming in full force. But you could clearly see the results despite that.
Vaneera was holding the line, absolutely refusing to let the Heartless past an invisible 'circle' that surrounded her friend. This had another advantage, as it was likely to make their enemies focus on her, instead of Motet. Not that Vaneera was going to leave any of them alive to chance it, if she could help it!
"Come on then! I'll wipe you all out!", she roared. One way or another... Vaneera was going to defend her world, and it started with Motet.------ Motet Oratorio

Vaneera's confirmation gave Motet warmth, it steadied her stance fully. Mother was wrong. Of course she was wrong. Vaneera was a hero, Motet her sidekick! Together... They would protect this world. Yes that's what they'd do! No one would prevent it. Mother would not. Nether would uncle Nore. No Vani made that certain to her! Yes...
"You wouldn't Vani... Thank you"
It might not have made sense to her friend, but her words brought her stability, helped her mind begin to clear. It wasn't perfect of course, but she was far more clear than before Vaneera came. She stopped shaking and held her scythe without stumbling, though the stance still lacked it's usual polish by far. Vaneera's encouragement made her smile and she gave a firm confident nod. That was just like her hero. Her partner... Vani. They always stood at each other's side. When one couldn't stand... The other helped the fallen stand tall. This was no different. Weakend or not she would be an extension of Vaneera. Her ally to help quell the beings of darkness, no matter what.
"They don't stand a chance against us! Together... Out combination can't be beat!"
The words got Motet pumped and she followed close behind her friend. Vaneera made herself the immediate danger, which caused the Shadows to launch themselves at her in force. Vaneera was holding her own, but Motet wasn't just slacking ether. She would lighten her friends load by sending arcs of dark energy from scythe and the Heartless falling upon the keybearer, together with her friends lighting fast attacks it should be enough to push the small creatures back.
The problem was that they were pushing forward. Vaneera formed a tight circle that made it hard for most anything to get in but... One found a hole. A crafty creature it waited until Vaneera was stuck mid attack on one of its fellow Heartless to leap out.
A Neo Shadow.
"Ah!"
The Heartless wss attempting to strike Vaneera from behind.... But with a clash Motet leapt right in it's path, her scythe ringing loud as she blocked the attack. Slowly dark energy began to build around her. This time it was clearly not from the Heartless, but Motet herself.
"You won't... Hurt her... You won't.."
The energy reached it's peak and Motet launched herself at the Heartless in a frenzy!
"YOU WON'T HURT HER!"
Her scythe and attack wss wild as she struck the creature with not a hint of Mercy, she left no room for his movment she she finished an upward clash that sent him flying back into the pile of Heartless behind her.
"No one touches Vani but me..."
An innocent enough statement, made more impactful by her feral tone. After the assault however the energy her dispersed to normal levels and she once more backed up towards Vaneera looking around their area. Her body was still tired... Despite her lash out that was still apprant. But she would not let any of them touch Vaneera! She was defending her.... And Motet would defend her in turn, with everything she could bring out! Her words echoed Vaneera's one might grt the impression their minds were in sync in fact, with how eerie the match up was.
"I'll wipe all of you out!"
Yet as they struck down Heartless after heartless the darkness began building somewhere else as in defiance to the pairs wishes. The more they struck down the stronger it became. They couldn't ignore it yet at the same they would have to fight through to get to it. Motet shivered a bit against Vaneera's back but stood her ground.
"Vani... Let's break them all!"

Vaneera smiled as Motet thanked her. "Of course, Motet! You'll always be my friend!", she replies. Slowly she was becoming more like her old self... Which made the red haired girl feel some relief. Though she couldn't afford to drop her guard right now. There was an unusually high amount of Heartless here... So it was all the better that Motet could fight at least a little now. Having someone to watch her blind spots made this several times more manageable. Although there was something that made her a little concerned... Motet was using Darkness to fight.
Just what exactly happened? She wanted to know -- But with everything going on right now, she couldn't worry about that. And besides that, it was still Motet. So it wouldn't do to make her friend concerned about that now. When they were safe, then they could talk about it! Still, even with their best efforts... Those Heartless were bearing down on them so harshly. There was something else that the Keyblade Wielder noticed as well. There were fewer Emblem Heartless -- Almost none, in fact.
It was all of those pure black types, the little Shadows. But some looked taller, stronger... And definitely meaner. One of which almost struck her, before Motet intervened in a very emotional, frenzied display. "H-... Hey! Careful, Motet!", she'd shout, expressing concern for her childhood friend. She knew how difficult the Heartless were to take down with a Keyblade. That, and if Motet wasn't careful, she'd end up in the middle of the horde! Still, it didn't seem like Motet was in the best of a mental state right now...
Vaneera didn't hesitate, backing up to keep Motet covered and striking each of the encroaching Heartless away in the process. But this was weird... The Heartless just kept coming, and the Darkness felt so heavy now. Like something bad was about to happen -- It reminded her of that time back on the bridge. Only this time, she didn't have Skuld or Terra to help... That made her a little nervous.
But Motet's words served as a reminder of why she came all this way, and why she couldn't just give up. "Yeah... We've got this, no matter how many come for us!", now filled with determination once more, she began to hold that circle just like before. Not intending to let any through her guard and injure Motet!------ Motet Oratorio

Motet had her friend's back, even in this state. Vaneera held their circle, and Motet prevented any from getting her back. Together there circle seemed unbreakable even in the face of this hoard. Their words kept each other strong, Vaneera's concern helped her focus on what was important here. She would not let anyone hurt her friend! It was a to a dance the way they flowed around the battlefield, stood at each other's back like a duet.
"Yeah with both of us together they don't stand a chance! Heroes always come out on top!"
For a moment it seemed their was a crack in the hoard as they seemed to come slower and slower. Ha proof of what she said! The bad guys would always quell against the power of real heroes! She would take the chance to lean in agaisnt Vaneera as the Heartless seemed to begin to seep away, the density however never changed. Which if Motet wasn't distracted more by them falling back would likely be more concerned about. Instead?
"Ya know Vani we really need a good team name! Like the Dawn Duo! Or o oh I know warriors of Midnight! Come on why the look of worry their falling back, so like I said nows the perfect time to..."
Motet stopped for a moment and looked behind her, to what was likely worrying her friend. Because behind them? The heartless had formed a mob of darkness, melding together into one large form, gigantic Heartless that quite easily dwarfed them both in stature.
A Darkside
"Oh that... That's why huh...."
Motet would step back a bit, until she was standing right beside Vaneera. She gripped her hands at her side for a minute before shaking her head and summoning her scythe once more to her hand in a flash of darkness.
"The bigger they are the harder they fall! It doesn't matter Van van let's crush him to! It looks like all that stuff...."
From her... It had to be... Where else? But she'd stop it still. No matter what! Her darkness radiated a bit more, but it still didn't feel the same as 'normal' darkness, at least not around Vaneera... But it wasn't light ether. It gave off an odd warmth to the one beside her none the less.
"Its melded into them, so if we beat it we win! Let's go, ready Vani?"
She got herself into a battle position, her scythe at the ready, she would fight with Vani and take it down... Right back into the ground! --------
A ways off, and likely out of their site a man watched from atop a building, robed much the same as a figure Vaneera saw before. However he was likely to out of sight to be seen right now. The man smirked as he watched the pair.
"Go ahead dear sister... Let it all out"

Finally! It seemed like they were starting to break through! Just like Motet said, Heroes always come out on top, right? But... It didn't take Vaneera too long to start putting the pieces together. This wasn't as simple as just clearing out the Heartless. That oppressive Darkness was still in the air, and their numbers didn't seem to be necessarily thinning out. They were just... Pulling back? But they never retreated, as far as she knew. She began to trace their steps, wondering what was going on here. Something wasn't adding up here...
Motet seemed to think that they were in the clear, going by the casual banter that she was going through right now. Vaneera on the other hand.... She took a slight step back at the rising figure of pure Darkness. Then, she would point it out to her friend. " I don't think we're in the clear yet, Motet..." , she'd then comment. Skuld and Terra weren't here... Could she really handle a Heartless that looked as strong as that? Maybe their best chance was-...
Though, as she was in the middle of that thought, Motet summoned her weapon, and gave the words that Vaneera needed to steel herself. She takes a breath, and nods in agreement. " Right... If we work together, we can take it down!" , Vaneera then reaffirms. Running away was going to entail it's own risks. For the sake of everyone in the city, and for Motet's safety... This thing had to go down right now! " I'll take point! You're still injured, Motet. But I know you've got my back!" With that decided, Vaneera would charge in, planting the first strike on the Darkside Heartless, which... As she expected, a lot more solid than the small-fry. But she wouldn't let up, she began to strike at it several times, hoping to make a dent! She needed to give this battle her all so that her friend would be safe... This was just like back then, she just had to follow the flow of the Keyblade, and she would achieve her victory! As long as she remembered what happened when she first got her Keyblade...
Fight. That was all she had to do now. This was a simple problem to solve.------ Motet Oratorio Actions: Basic Attack @ Darkside Basic Attack @ Darkside Basic Attack @ Darkside

A dance
One could compare their charge to a dance. Darkness and light. The hero of light struck the beast with her key and it realed slightly from the impact, glaring down at the hero with empty eyes before attempting to bring it's fist down upon her in retaliation. Motet watched this exchange continue. Motet held her scythe to her side and began channeling her darkness inward. She didn't care what her mom had wanted. She didn't care what Blacknoire wanted. No what she cared about was Vaneera. Vaneera coudn't come to harm. Vaneera cared about her. She helped her smile, she wanted to protect Vaneera's in turn. She would not fail...
As the darkness increased within Motet, as it grew stronger Vaneera might notice the Darkside's power was slowly decreasing, as if Motet was absorbing the darkness from it. This was true to an extent, but not in the way Vaneera likely assumed. These heartless, this Darkside was created by her Darkness pooling out. Now? She was taking it back. She was taking it back and she would use it to put this beast down! She would use it to support Vaneera!
Her wounds slowly healed, allowing her to more easly move, an aura filled her eyes and surrounded her body. In the next moment she raced forth to support Vaneera. As its fist came she took the chance to aim for the head with her Reaver skill, unleashing a barrage of attacks at her foe, this monster formed of her darkness. The darkness in her enhanced her attacks upon the heartless. This was followed by her leaping back-giving room for Vaneera to make her own move. Looking for an opening ahe would finally fire her Piercing Arc to top it off. She was full of enerfy even still, she stood beside Vaneera as her wounds continued to close. She hoped this didn't scare Vaneera, she hoped it didn't make Vaneera see her in a darker light. She was still the same Motet. All she wanted was to be a hero, all she wanted was to help HER hero.
"Vani! It's getting weaker! Let's take it out! All of it! Lets make it dissipear! Side by side... Right?"
She offered a smile a smile that even among the darkness around her.... Was warm, likely gave comfort.
A dance.

Vaneera was fully prepared to fight this massive Heartless off by herself; Motet was too injured to be able to participate in such a dangerous fight as this, after all. Just like back then... She would protect her. That was what the Keyblade Wielder had decided, she didn't flinch or hesitate as the comparatively larger Heartless raised it's fist to strike at her. She would simply hold her Keyblade with one hand, and with her free hand she would prepare an incantation. Though to her surprise, the Darkside wasn't able to complete it's attack. As someone had jumped into the fray in order to help fight it off... And that person was none other than Motet.
Somehow, Vaneera's friend had shaken off her injuries and acquired a burst of energy. Motet would back off briefly, giving the Keyblade Wielder the opening she needed to make her own move. She would suddenly vanish from the spot, and reappear in mid-air, striking the Darkside's head within that very same second. This process would be repeated several times. A Strike Blitz to overwhelm the Heartless when it had already taken a beating beforehand, and that was enough to stun the creature, causing it to slump over as it tried to regather it's bearings. Vaneera would kick off of it's head, and begin to charge two spells while in mid-air.
Motet took that as her chance to attack the Darkside once more, and at the same time, Vaneera would fire off a Fire and a Blizzard Spell, all three attacks colliding with the head of their enemy at the same time. The Darkside would tumble to the ground, combined with the power that was sapped from it earlier, it had quite the impressive toll taken on it... But it seems that it wasn't quite finished, it was merely stunned. That would give the pair the chance to regroup. Vaneera would land on the ground gracefully, and turn her head to Motet, nodding.
"We've got this, partner!", the red-haired girl would then state, likely doing away with any doubts that Motet had in the process. "Let's show them what we can do!", she would then turn back to the Darkside. The massive Heartless still reeling on the ground from the sheer assault it had taken. But it wouldn't stay down for too long... Not unless they could finish this!------ Motet Oratorio Actions: 1 - Strike Blitz @ Darkside (Cooldown: 0/3) 2 - Fire @ Darkside (Cooldown: 0/1) 3 - Blizzard @ Darkside (Cooldown: 0/1) Notes: Darkside has been stunned temporarily from the constant, powerful attacks directed at the head.

They would do this together.
The Heartless was weakining! Motet was taking power from it, the aura of dark energy instead returning to and empowering her. Vaneera filled her with confidence. This mistake... She caused this. She knew that. She woudn't blame het mother, as much as she disliked her and Vaneera's mentor. No it was her fault she coudn't control it. It was her fault she broke down. But she would fix that all right now, alongside Vaneera.
Motet came to rest alongside Vaneera, looking to her partner with a bright smile, showing that confidence her closest friend had given her. Her wounds were still healing, allowing her to move in step with Vaneera. Yes they would do this together! Running foward she would take Vaneera's free hand in her own.
"Yes Vani! Lets take em down!"
Assuming Vaneera cooperated Motet would then toss her partner in the air for her plan. She from the ground and Vaneera from the air, a powerful combo of light and dark to finish this creature off! Twilight, Dusk, a union. A creature enveloped in one coudn't hope to survive both, of that she was certain. This was her and Vani's dance, this was the climax! As dark energy rqdiated off her body she became like a charging ball of darkness aimed straght for the Heartless' weak point, more than likely with Vaneera's own light to follow. It would make a beutiful streak white and black for their one audence member to see. The energy would build... Until they struck thew that weakpoint, with the full intent of finishing this now!
The self proclaimed dark hero looked back from the otherside. Had they done it? They had to have! Their was no way anything could withstand an attack like that from her and her hero!. Her Vani was the greatest hero in the world... Her key the extension of her light, the power to smite these creatures. That was why she knew, knew that putting their power into this... Meant they had won!
Her eyes filled with glee as she saw just that. The monster fell to the ground, and its darkness shed from its body in great amounts. Now an event likely odd to Vaneera would occur, odd to her but common for Motet. Her hero had never seen this, but Motet was sut what was ok.
Stepping foward she placed her hand agaisnt the fading darkness, and it began to enter her body, absorbed by her touch slowly. Though a lot dispersed into the air before she got to it Motet still knew her duty, even if her Mother went astray.
She was a hero
She would not let the darkness envelop their world.
She could not wield a keyblade like Vani, but she could take the darkness into herself, and use into to burn the Heartless away.
As the last of the darkness entered her Motet stood up with a smile. They had done it! The threat was gone... This area was safe again! She coudn't help herself in the next moment... And ran foward, tackling Vaneera to the ground in a tight embrace!
"Vani we did it, we did!"
Meanwhile the man from afar began a decent... It seemed he was done viewing the presentation, he saw what he needed to, Everything was on track.
It was time for the next step.
------ Feel free to interpit Vaneera's part of the attack as you wish, for Motet its simply a charging attack with the full brunt of darkness shes built up, if it wasn't ok for me to finish the Darkside just let me know and I can re write it!
1.Powerful darkness fueled attack in union with Vaneera to finish the Darkside!

Several questions were racing through Vaneera's head at the moment, but she couldn't address any of them just yet. They needed to get rid of all the threats in this location... Once Motet was safe, then she could ask about what was going on. Still, this was her friend, so when Motet offered her hand... Vaneera would accept it, taking hold of it, and then rushing back into battle! Motet would proceed to throw the Keyblade Wielder into the air, and she would immediately piece together what was being done here, this was to perform a combination attack and finish off the enemy! That in mind, the Keyblade Wielder would prepare another one of her techniques, and just as Motet prepared hers...
The red-haired girl would attack at the same time with a Strike Dive, and as Light and Dark clashed against the same target... They would land on opposite ends of the battlefield. Vaneera didn't need to look back to know that the Darkside was defeated. It had sustained an immense amount of damage, and that was certain to finish it off... Especially since it's power had been drained over the course of the fight. The Keyblade Wielder knew where that Darkness went, too. There wasn't much question about it now, especially when once she turned, she saw Motet absorbing the wisps of black that were otherwise fading away into the air...
Before Vaneera could even make a comment about that, Motet would suddenly tackle her, giving her a tight hug in the process! The red haired girl couldn't help but smile, and struggle to keep her balance after that... She'd gently wrap her arms around Motet in response. "Hey, I'm glad to see you too, Motet! I was really worried about you, you know.", Vaneera would say softly.
"So... All of that Darkness, you absorbed that, right? Doesn't it hurt?", the Keyblade Wielder asks, a little curious about the process behind this. She wanted to figure out what was going on without upsetting her friend. Once she had a little more information about this, maybe she could pick what advice would be best. Though as far as Vaneera was concerned... That power was dangerous. Not necessarily to others, but to Motet herself.
She didn't want to see that backfire on her...------ Motet Oratorio Actions: 1 - Strike Dive @ Darkside Cooldowns: Fire (1/1) Blizzard (1/1) Strike Blitz (1/3) Strike Dive (0/1)

"I'm sorry Vani"
Motet pouted for a moment. She knew Vaneera would be worried, but she coudn't help it. She coudn't go to her in the state she was in right? At least... Thats what mother had made her belive anyway, she could see better now. Vaneera would never hurt her. Vaneera only wanted to help her, the same way she always had. Mother made her make Vani worry to much-she coudn't help but belive she deserved what she got now. After evreything she did... Everything she manipulated, she coudn't feel sotry for her now... Her game was over, she was out of lives... She was gone.
Motet... Didn't miss her.
Motrt backed up a bit and gave a proud nod at what Vaneera said next, mostly paying attention to the first part of what she had said. She was very proud of her ability, despite its origin. It mean't that she could help now! She could use that power to contain the darkness the monsters spewed withen herself. What Vaneera coudn't purify with her keyblade Motet could take in and use for good. Two heroes working together!
"Yes I did! All inside me so it can't do anymore bad! Pretty awesome right?"
She was so certain Vaneera was proud to hear it that at first she didn't hear the second part of what she said, and when she took a second to listen she paused, tilting her head.
Vaneera wanted to know if it hurt?
Well... Yeah if she took a lot in at once she felt some pain but... It was worth it right? She could be an effective hero like this! The perfrct support to Vaneera's mission! What Vaneera missed she could absorb and strike down in her place. It made her so much more effective. So .. that made it good right? It was a price she was willing to pay in order to help her Van Van, in order to be a hero! Do it was ok right?
"Well... A little when I absorb a lot but... Thats ok! I can keep going or rest after and its all better don't worry! I promise! I want to be able to help you!"
It was true, that was all she wanted. To help and fight alongside her Vani. She was the hero and Motet her partner! That was all she wanted for so long... That was worth hurting just a little at times, defently! Besides... It wasn't that bad!

Motet began by apologizing, which Vaneera would respond to with a calm nod and smile. In the end, she wasn't mad at her friend. She was just glad that everything worked out... Motet was alive, and safe now. The Keyblade Wielder did try to keep her wits about her, just in the chance that other Heartless were still lurking about, but it seemed that everything cleared out after the Darkside was defeated, so maybe they could actually focus on this conversation, instead of having to fight off constant waves of Heartless.
"Don't worry about it, I'm just glad you're okay.", the red-haired girl would finally say, just in case Motet didn't catch onto the non-verbal response either. With that out of the way, Motet then eagerly exclaimed that she did in fact absorb that Darkness. Which... More or less painted the picture that it wasn't the first time she had done this. That explained a lot about the circumstances, and why all of those Heartless were attracted to her like some kind of beacon. It seemed that Motet was able to pick on this, and then further elaborated that it did hurt if she took in too much too fast.
But she wanted to do this in order to help Vaneera. Right... Now that she knew a little bit about what was going on... "Motet. You gotta be extra careful with the Darkness, okay? It's strong, but it has a cost. The Heartless will be attracted to it, too. I think it affords a level of control over them, but...", she paused for a moment, thinking of how to best explain the phenomena. "They turn on people that can't handle the Darkness, too."
Perhaps it was best to just keep it simple for now. "Plus I'm worried about it eating away at you from the inside... It doesn't just go away, right? So don't take in anymore if you can help it. I'll use my Keyblade to take care of the Darkness from here on!", she adds with a smile. Vaneera figured now was a good time to explain why that worked, too.
"You saw what happened to the Heartless that I defeated, right? The Darkness didn't just fade away like usual, it also released the Heart inside of them. So... Rest up a lot, alright?", maybe Vaneera wouldn't be able to convince Motet not to use that power anymore just yet. But she could at least convince her to use it not quite as often... It was worth a try, in any case. Because if she delved a little too deep with that... It might be something she can't come back from.
Vaneera didn't want that to happen.------ Motet Oratorio Cooldowns: Strike Blitz (2/3) Strike Dive (1/1)
