Young Rynn’s adventure and studies continued. After reaching Destiny Islands, meeting various people there and observing what he could find, the next world the young man was meaning to visit had something of a connected history to the islands— and this intrigued him greatly. What exactly was that shared history about? Essentially strung along by his curiosity once again, Rynn had to know; or at least get closer to knowing.
After a short trip on another Gummi Ship service, he had arrived on the world known as Radiant Garden; that had a beautiful pearly castle as the main feature and a town surrounding it. Plantlife was plentiful here, as per the name. Content to simply stroll around and see the sights, Rynn ended up having a similar feeling regarding the atmosphere here as he did on Destiny Islands. He was on the trail of something, that much was certain.
Soon enough; he came across a modest little building with a sign above it— Merlin’s Magical Manuals— this obviously intrigued Rynn immediately. Another little sign in the window read ‘home of the Radiant Garden Reconstruction Committee’, which was something a few locals had mentioned to Rynn when he asked about the world. The store/committee centre was open for business, so Rynn entered. Unfortunately, Merlin was not around it seemed, according to the people currently taking care of the place.
While disappointing, there was no reason to be all that disappointed, for there was still a whole archive of stuff for Rynn to investigate. During his browsing; Rynn happened upon a very odd and out of place book that was simply left on a table rather than be returned to the appropriate shelf… Was it a children’s book? There was a picture of a young man with spiky brown hair wearing adventurer’s garb and a little yellow bear with a red shirt. ‘... Winnie the Pooh?’ Quirking a brow, Rynn moved to get a better look at the book. ‘Who left it out here like this?’
Strangely enough Rynn felt some manner of unique magic emanating from the tome. Picking it up, he sought to find its proper place; but the mysterious weight to this book seemingly called out to Rynn with a warm fuzzy feeling, as if the book itself was wishing to guide him; and it felt perfectly fine for some reason. Seeing no harm in such an honest little book, Rynn answered the call, and opened the book…
In a soft glimmer of light, Rynn blinked found himself in a completely different place! A calm and serene clearing near some woods, the sky the grass and the wind were all so real! Rynn was confused for a moment, then realized that warm and fuzzy feeling he felt moments ago, was effectively all around him! He knew what this tome could be like; a storybook that was literally a portal to another world! “Woah…”

He counted the clouds in the sky, simply waiting as he sat patiently upon a log planted firmly in the pastel green fields. He pointed his finger upwards, wistfully counting each one. Well...Until HE arrived. The eccentric master lowered his hand, turning his hooded concealed head to look behind him as the young traveler garbed in black appeared.
"Let's see...One hundred fifty seven, One hundred fifty eight, One hundred and fifty nine...uhh, nope. Lost count! I was wondering when you'd show. Somebody left the back door to this place wide open, so I let myself in. Hope you don't mind! Kind of a quaint, peaceful place if you can ignore that yellow guy who keeps asking for honey."
He jokingly cringed a bit though, as he quipped further.
"Though it's all...Bright and sunny, euughhh gross am I right?! I mean I AM right, yeah?"
After throwing his rhetorical question out, he stood up, turning to face Rynn. His stance was firm and unwavering, his expression revealing nothing about him. Despite him being so jovial, his actual appearance was...Enigmatic. If someone hadn't heard him talking, they would have assumed he was far more serious than he actually carried himself. Still, he didn't seem off-putting, nor was he attempting to make himself a threat to Rynn.
"So sport, what brings you around this neck of the woods? WAIT WAIT! Don't tell me yet, lemme try and guess this! That slick looking black coat, the way you're walking and looking around, youuu...Are looking for something! Looking for knowledge! Stop me if I'm wrong, but you look like the sort of man who wants to expand his magical library, explore the depths of his powers and eventually become a master mage! Am I wrong?"
Though Rynn probably couldn't see it, under that hood the Master held a cheeky, playful grin.

Rynn wandered for a little while, and moments later he heard a voice just around the other side of a nearby giant tree. They were counting clouds? Or at least they were until they gave up. Who were they talking to? “Hm?” Rynn quirked a brow as he looked around the tree to find someone in a black cloak…
Okay, not just any black cloak, one of those black cloaks. The ones that handful of suspicious weirdos wore around Twilight town, the ones that commanded the Nobodies! Now, Rynn wasn’t fool enough to simply accuse someone only on the basis of their fashion choices, he was a cautious and methodical guy after all.
He had to admit though; the way this individual spoke was incredibly weird. They were waiting for Rynn? This place had a back door? It was a world inside a book, so unless there was a second book Rynn didn’t know about that brought people to the same place, he was kind of lost on what to say. Rynn wasn’t the owner of the book, nor was he any sort of authority in book’s secret realm either, but if anyone was about to cause trouble here, he would definitely protect it. “Wuh..?” Rynn blinked in confusion. What a strange man this was.
All in all, this weird man didn’t seem to take presenting himself all that seriously, he was jolly even! Rynn opened his mouth to speak, but the man loudly proclaimed the desire to guess why Rynn was here. Hilariously enough; this man was pretty much right. Rynn did come to Merlin’s little place to read up on some stuff and perhaps meet the wizard but that could’ve been easy to guess for anyone that went into his store.
Clearing his throat, Rynn found a moment to speak. “Uh, yes, yes I am here to brush up on all things magical… Uh.” Rynn tilted his head at the stranger, in a manner of curiosity. “Sorry, your exact choice of clothing threw me off for a second. I’ve heard rumors of people wearing what you are right now, with… Less than altruistic tendencies and goals.” Rynn stood up straight and tapped his chin. He couldn’t quite place why, but this man didn’t seem like the type to be allied with those ruffians, or not openly anyway. That aside, Rynn felt that this man was to not be underestimated, and as if he held answers to some questions Rynn might need answering.

The master playfully pointed finger guns at Rynn remaining as jovial as he ever was - Seems he didn't take this situation too seriously, just as Rynn had guessed. That being said, he was exstatic at the fact that he DID guess right! It all made sense after all, nobody else would come this far out of the way just for some hunny, as it were!
"Haaa~! knew it! Y'might've figured it out already, but the old man's out! I kinda helped myself into his book here, it's a pretty nice spot, wouldn't you say? C'mon over, have a seat! Just take it all in for a while. Part of being a mage is being able to stop and smell the roses y'know!"
He unceremoniously reached down and plucked a small daisy out of the ground in front of him, he began to play She loves me, she loves me not" with the poor flower, slowly plucking away each of it's petals as he mentioned THOSE ruffians in the coats. Without even batting an eye, the master speaks up once more:
"Oh...THOSE wannabes. Yeah I get that a lot. Those guys are really cramping my style! I wore it first! And...Better, really. That grumpy chick with the eel hair? Yeah, black is NOT flattering on her at all."
He would make fake gagging noises, followed by a calm chuckle after; clearly having fun at the expense of the Organization. And why not? It wasn't like any of those jokers could actually even touch him! He finished plucking all the petals off of the flower, tossing it aside and taking on a childish immature sounding tone of voice
"Awww, no fair. I always get 'She loves me not!' No fair!"
He'd stop, clearing his throat for a moment and changing his tone back to it's usual sound. He'd look over at Rynn, keeping one leg propped up on top of the log and against his chest, and the other planted firmly on the ground. He plucked out another daisy from the ground, extending it towards the young mage in training.
"So! Go ahead, try it! Time to start smelling those roses!"

Rynn gave an awkward cough. “Yeah, I don’t know where he is, I am going to assume he is on some sort of break.” To be fair, Merlin was in fact a senior citizen despite being a man with immense magical capabilities. “I must agree, it is quite an intriguing, erm.. Book, I guess.” Of course, Rynn had his doubts, doubts that this was but a simple ‘book’ “I don’t think that is all this is though. I just have a feeling. I do not think I could explain it, though.” Given how this mysterious man acted, he probably knew already himself.
The stranger had some interesting thoughts on the organization, primarily negative it seemed. “Ah, is that so?” Rynn asked, quirking a brow. He couldn’t help but laugh a little at the comments about an ‘eel hair’ person. Rynn hadn’t met any of the organization directly, but given this ‘description’ he could probably pick them out of the lineup. “Hahah, eel hair? Thats very specific.”
As for the little flower game, Rynn knew it well enough. He never really did it to his knowledge and really only saw other people do it mostly for a laugh— which is what Rynn assumed this other guy was doing it for as well since he wasn’t so easy to read. “Oof, that iiiis a bummer.”
There were more surprises to be had though, as Rynn was offered a random flower— he couldn’t help but laugh somewhat as he graciously took the flower. “Uh. Its a figure of speech… Buuut, I see no fault in taking the expression literally sometimes.” He said, examining the flower.

"Oh it's a book alright! But sometimes..."
He took a small book out from a pocket. ... Come to think of it, did his coat even HAVE pockets? Uh well, it was best not to question his actions. He flipped through it, perusing it's contents in silence for an awkward minute before holding it out in one hand, shaking it and causing quite a large sum of glitter to come flying out, followed by a firework that shot up into the air, whizzing right past the Master's head as he barely gave it an afterthought.
"... A book is more than just it's pages."
He watched Rynn accept the flower and begin to examine it with curiosity, unseen eyes darting about as he went from watching Rynn, to the thorned flower in his hand. He shrugged and stood up from the log he was sitting on. He strolled forward carelessly, kicking a rock aside and watching it tumble down the little hill they were on. But all at once he threw out his arms in a showy manner, looking skyward.
"SO!!! What is it you wanna know? I feel like you probably didn't come here for cheap magic tricks. I'm all ears, just ask away!"
He brought a hand to his face, chuckling to himself with amusement.
"I love this job."
... What job he might have been referring to was not specified, and...Certainly others might've been confused as well. Teaching magic or sharing cryptic knowledge wasn't exactly his profession, so much as...Something he chose to do on a whim, honestly.
