A dark place, darker than the night sky itself. Barely any light. This was Nick's next destination. It was known as The World That Never Was. He had gotten this information from the last clue he had received in The Dwarf Woodlands. This location is where his parents would be found. Every minute is a step a closer to being reunited at last with his mother and father, who have been gone for a very long time. The portal dropped him off in the middle of the world. It was a bit of a painful landing, but It didn't do much damage to him. He took out his magical rock, only to see that It was beginning to crack.
"Oh no, this can't be good," He said to himself as he tried to prevent it from cracking, but he couldn't do anything. He watched in horror as the magical item cracked, then fell into many pieces across the palm of his right hand. He was disappointed that the artifact he had received from the old man was now broken. He was now trapped in this world, with no way out. But, that wasn't the main focus of course.
"Well, looks like that rock has turned to dust. However, I cannot let this prevent me from finding my mother and father. I must continue forward," He thought to himself as he dusted his hands off, watching the crumbles of rock fall to the ground. From there, he began walking forward. Down towards what looked like an empty road. There was barely any sound, only the noise of the wind. He looked around for a sign, anything that might relate to the location of his parents. For a moment, he heard a noise that echoed across this quiet area. Voices. They were a bit loud, but sounded very far away.
"Those voices... could those be my parents?" Nick asked himself. Uncertain of what he was hearing. "It must be, I don't think there could be anyone else that could make that noise. I just have to be sure." He added as he began to run.
As he ran, he felt the slightest bit of wind in his hair. He was going north, which is where the source of the noise seems to be coming from. He couldn't stop for anything. He believed that nothing would get in his way, or at least that is what he thought.

The World That Never Was...How long had it been since the keyblader had stepped foot in the home of what was once Organization 13 looking to bring a piece of Sora back to him? How long ago had been since that fight against the leader of said Organization? It had been quite a while and yet the place didn’t seem to change. The sky overhead was still dark as ever and the buildings of a city that had no residents still in one piece. Even the bitter taste of Darkness still lingered in the air of a place that could never be wiped clean of its presence remained. Oh yes. This was a place that was not forgotten by the one who stepped out of the portal, a slight limp to his step from an old wound inflicted upon in a void once upon a time.
As the portal snapped shut aquamarine eyes would look around the familiar area, the memories flowing in even if he didn’t want them too. As the memories flowed in, the white hair keyblader would wonder what had brought him to this place again as he began to walk down the empty. This place seemed stable, so what was it that – Hm?
The keyblader would stop as he sensed a presence in the area and then heard what sounded like voices coming from nearby. Curious, he would began to move again at a slightly quicker pace towards the sound and the presence. Was the Organization gathering or was there something else going on here? He had to know, so he pushed on towards the sounds the voices getting louder and louder as he came to a corner and stopped. Listening to the voices, he would press himself against the cold walls of a building and peek around looking to see what was there. He would look, but find nothing as the voices became quiet as soon as he peeked around the corner.
Frowning, he would study the area a bit before cautiously stepping out into the small open space where the voices had come from. There was indeed a presence there watching, but what it was he could not tell in this strange place that always messed with his senses….

Nick continued running, the voices he heard were getting quieter. Not wanting to lose the source, he picked up the pace. He did see something in the distance, some square object. He couldn't really tell what it was, but it was far away.
"An object of some sort. Maybe my parents are there, I just have to know!" He exclaimed to himself. Suddenly he was interrupted by a group of enemies, it was the heartless. They looked like a bunch of knights in metallic armor. Twenty-three of them had suddenly appeared around him. All waiting to attack. They came without warning.
"Heartless... well, if you've come to attack me. Go ahead, throw yourselves at me! I will do my best to knock you all down," He said as he started getting attacked by them. They relentlessly threw themselves at him, tiring him out. He did his best to punch them back, but he was outnumbered. Eventually, he was forced to the ground. All of the heartless were piling onto him.
"No... this can't be...!" shouted Nick as he was being covered by the heartless. He tried to shove them off, only for a couple of more to come and take their place. As he continued his attempt to get these creatures off him, he was getting angry, more agitated by the second. "Shove off you terrible creatures!"
After he had said that, he felt the veins in his right hand surge with some unknown power. It felt painful, yet cold on the surface of his skin. He decided to do one last attempt to get all these monsters off of him. Using his right hand, he clenched it into a fist, then forced himself to hit one of the heartless. This had caused a small explosion to occur, and blow the heartless away due to the incredible amount of energy that was building up. But not defeat them of course. After getting all those heartless off of him, he got back up on his feet slowly. He looked at his right hand, seeing a dark-purple glow of light surrounding his gauntlet.
"Is this the darkness that is within me? Has the power within my heart finally been unlocked? I am not even sure, for now... I have a fight to finish," said Nick as he looked at the enemies that were regathering around him for another chance to pin him down. He lifted up his right hand, and clenched it tightly. He angrily stared at the enemy, but they had no reaction to it at all. He prepared himself to take them on again. He saw two of them launch towards him, but he punched them back. This new power helped defeat the two of them, but It wouldn't be enough to take them all out. He was going to need someone else to help him.

He would continue survey the area, looking for the unseen watcher. It was probably Heartless or left over Nobodies that stared. No doubt drawn to his presence. Even so the creatures did not come out to attack which he found a bit odd considering the creatures usual behavior. So if they weren’t coming at him then were they waiting for something? Was there more to this picture than he could see? Hmm.
Staying alert, the keyblader would shift in his spot to move forward; however, he would stop himself as he felt the other presence from earlier get closer and then a sudden rise in Darkness…then the sounds of a struggle. Hmph. Maybe the reason they weren’t attacking him was because they had another target in mind. Whatever the case was, the keyblader did not stop to ponder as he took off in the sound of the fight, his steps echoing through the otherwise quiet area.
Rounding a corner, he would find the source of the noise and take a quick look at the problem at hand. There were at least 20 or more Heartless surrounding a lone figure that had some form of dark power leaking off of him. Unsure if this was a good or bad thing, the keyblade master would push away the trust issues for now and focus on riding the place of Heartless instead. Summoning his keyblade, he would push off the ground and head towards the masses just as a few turned in his direction.
Before the first Heartless could act, Riku would stab his keyblade straight through the creature sending it back to the darkness from wince it came. Following that, he would move to his left to horizontally swipe a second one that was charging towards. The creature was smart and jumped back, but it would find no space for breathe. Riku would quickly fling out his hand as white mist shot from it and struck the retreating creature freezing it in place as the blizzard spell hit. Moving in to finish it the keyblade would find its mark shattering the creature when it struck.
Heh. Two were down, but it looked like he and the other still had an army to go. Stepping back a bit towards the other with him, Riku would keep an eye on the enemy for now saying nothing as the masses around them shifted and swayed looking for the right time to attack. ____________________________________________________________________________________

Nick was surprised and relieved when he had seen this young gentleman suddenly enter the fight. He would no longer be outnumbered in this battle. He looked at the stranger and spoke to him.
"Thank you sir, I was afraid I would be outnumbered. Please fight with me. Together, we can take on this army of heartless. With this new power I found, It should be good with fighting the enemy," He said to the gentlemen as he got into his battle stance. He watched as the rest of the heartless began circling around them, not giving them any openings.
"Hm? What are they planning? Whatever it is, they won't be standing tall for long after they are defeated. I must fight for the sake of my parents, no matter how beaten up I get. I won't go down easily... " He thought to himself. He continued to observe their movements, watching as they circled around them. After a few seconds of circling them, the heartless started marching towards them slowly. Nick got his right fist ready, he felt it slowly power up with the same cold energy that he had felt before. Except, it felt a bit more painful than before. The young teenager did his best to resist the pain, but couldn't really do a good job of doing so.

"Don't thank me yet. We're still surrounded," the keyblader would say as he took a small step back as he raised his blade into a defensive position. "Don't worry. I plan to stay by your side and help you with these guys." He wouldn't leave the other on his own. Not when he had a means to fight back. Besides it was his duty to protect others anyway and he was never one to run away from a fight, so why start now? That aside, he would watch as the Heartless circled them for a bit before slowly beginning their march towards them. The keyblader would hold his ground as he caught the other preparing for battle himself; however, something seemed to be wrong as the other charged up his dark power. He saw the other was in pain or some form of discomfort from it. It made him worry for the other. "You going to be alright?" he would ask, but before he could get an answer the Heartless nearest to him would attack.
Unlike before four came at him in one small cluster, spinning and slashing out in a chaotic fashion to hit him. Moving quickly, the keyblader would move his blade to block the attack before having to hop back as a fifth slashed at his stomach. Landing he would push forward, as the small horde re-positioned itself to attack again. Giving it no chance, the keyblader would dash into the small mass trying to get his blade between the tangled mass to separate them. In the process of trying to separate them he would destroy two of them leaving two more to deal with. Without their buddies to help, the pair would attack simtanously with the fifth heartless that had been lurking about. Hopping over a low blow, the keyblader would dance out of range of a side swipe as he raised his blade to swipe at the shadow coming at from above. Slice and dice. Two more bit the dust, but then bam!
The last of the group had gotten in a lucky blow, the claw marks drawing a bit of blood from his left arm where it struck; however, the keyblader did not hesitate as he gritted his teeth and struck back impaling the little critter on his blade to return it to the Darkness. Once that group was gone, he would take a few steps back being careful not to bump into the other as he raised his blade once more into a defensive position.

"I may be in discomfort, but I can't let that stop me. I must fight, for my mother and father. I've tracked them here, and I cannot give up now. But, I appreciate your concern." Nick said to the young man as he saw two other heartless approach him rapidly. As soon as his fists were charged up, he would use his attack. Just as those two heartless were about to jump on him, he unleashed his attack.
"Take this you horrible creatures!" He shouted as he unleashed his attack upon one of the heartless. He punched the one heartless across the head with this right fist, then kicked the other off to the side. The first target was destroyed with a small blast of power coming from Nick's fist, and the other had been knocked to the ground for a few minutes. The one that wasn't destroyed stepped away to rejoin the heartless that were circling around them. He saw a few more try to strike him from the front, but he kicked them away, defeating them.
"Who wants some more?!?" He asked the other heartless that were around them. Just as he said that, the rest of them started to slowly crowd around the two, stepping towards them. Getting closer and closer by every small step. This was making Nick a bit nervous, because he didn't know how he would deal with this many heartless at one time. After all, he couldn't take on all of them. He was glad that someone was fighting along side with him.
"This is not good... we're going to need a plan... " He said to the gentleman.

"Alright. Just hang in there," the keyblader would say in response to the other's words. He was still concern what that discomfort could do to the kid, but they couldn't stop fighting now. The Heartless were closing in on them second by second and if they stopped fighting now, they would surely be taken down. On the other hand, the creatures crowding in wasn't good either. While it was true Riku could fight a good long while and had taken out numbers far greater than him, he couldn't put the other in any further danger than they already were in.
As his mind spun and thought, the Heartless kept making their attacks. One from the side, one from the front, one coming in low. With quick reflexes, the keyblader would move into the trio, his blade slicing and dicing the shadows as they came, the black puffs of smoke signaling their defeat a welcoming sign; however, the relief would only be buried under the weight of worry as the circle of black just pressed ever inward. Riku would back up slightly being careful not to bump into the other as he looked at the creatures around them.
“We need to get out of this ring,” he would respond back and then coming up with idea, he would continue. “I can cut a path through them as soon as you see the opening run. It is our only chance for now.” The keyblader would say before becoming silent. Keeping an eye on the heartless, he would charge his body with dark energy, his body slowly lifting off the ground until the charge was complete. Once it was done, the keyblader would push forward in the masses becoming a dark blur as he begin to move his keyblade in graceful arcs to destroy any of the Heartless that was in the way. He would take out a good chunk of them with the 8 strikes he dealt before pushing off the ground and up into the air. Coming back down he would strike the ground with his keyblade unleashing the dark energy in him into the crowd of Heartless causing the creatures to go flying. Some would get destroyed, but others would simply be knocked back. Either way, the creatures were in a confusion leaving a pathway open to run through.
“Go now!” the keyblader would tell the other as he hung back to bring up the rear. ______________________________________________________________________________________

The young teenager was amazed by the power of this gentlemen. The way he cut down those Heartless was something beyond what Nick was capable of. He couldn't stay still for long however, he was told that once there was an opening, he would have to run through. Once the opportunity had presented itself, he did as he was told.
"Got it!" He shouted as he ran through the opening that was made. The heartless were now in disarray due to the opening that was made. One heartless tried to grab onto him, but he shook it off of him. A good portion of the army of Heartless were destroyed, most of the army of the heartless had retreated elsewhere because something else had their attention.
"Huh? They're leaving? Guess something else got their attention," He thought as two heartless that weren't part of the retreat suddenly attacked him from behind. Not seeing this coming, he took the incoming damage and fell to the ground. He watched as the two last heartless approached him. They began to slash at his face.
"You won't take me down easily!" He screamed as he shoved them off him. He then kicked one of the heartless, and punched the other one straight in the head. Since these heartless were already weakened, It was easy to defeat them. The last two heartless from that army were defeated, Nick watched as they exploded into a black puff of smoke. It was over, the battle was over. Nick kneeled on the ground a bit, trying to shake off the pain he had. Nothing else was in his way now. All he had to do was continue walking forward. But, before he could, he had one last thing to ask of that gentleman. He approached him and spoke to him.
"Thank you sir, you've really helped me out today. Now I can proceed forward to find my mother and father. Once I find them, I will go back to my home of Traverse Town. However, the magical artifact I used to get here was damaged, and is no longer usable. So, I would like to ask you one question: Will you help me and my parents get home? Whatever your decision is, I will respect it," He said to him as he awaited his response.

The opening was made and the other with him made a run for it as commanded to. Slicing down another one of the critters, Riku would follow. As they ran, some of the Heartless pursued them, knocking over the kid who proved he was capable of taking care of himself as he got them off. Pausing only once to slice down another of the heartless as it tried to attack from behind, Riku would continue to move until the Heartless stopped their pursuit.
Pausing to rest and make sure no other Heartless lingered about, Riku would move from his defensive position into a slightly more relaxed one as he turned his eyes to the other. It looked like he was injured from the attack the Heartless made on him, but despite that was approaching him and making a request?
The keyblader considered what he said, but instead of answering right away he would lift a hand and summon a strange green magic to his hand before looking over at the other. “You don’t have thank me. I think anyone with a heart would’ve done the same. Here, let me heal you,” he would say before attempting to toss the magic spell towards the other. If the spell hit, it would begin to heal the other taking care of minor wounds and giving him a bit of strength back. Wherever that went, in time Riku would respond to what the other had asked.
“What makes you think I can get you back home?” His question was gentle as he tilted his head at the other. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Nick felt some energy surround his body, this energy helped get rid of his wounds. It felt wonderful to him. He took a breath for a moment before he would respond to the gentlemen's question.
"To be honest, I am not sure. I just want to return home with my mother and father, and If I must, I will find another way," said Nick as he heard shouting in the background. The voices were familiar. It brought small tears of joy to his eyes upon hearing them after such a long time. He turned around and replied to those voices with "Mother? Father?"
Two figures appeared walked right infront of the two gentlemen. It was a women in a green dress with black shoes, wavy brown hair and brown eyes. This also included a man with emerald green eyes, straight brown hair, he was also wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, and brown boots to complete the outfit. These two were known respectively as Daria and Derrick Laruzo.
"My son! My beautiful son! You've come for us!" The woman shouted for joy as she ran towards her beloved son to hug him. Nick hugged his mother happily while she cried tears of joy. The man watched happily, trying to resist crying his eyes out. He was very happy to see his son again, after thinking for such a long time that he never would.
"This is a joyous day... My son has come to save us, " said the man as he watched his wife hug his son. He eventually joined in on the hug.
"It's good to see you both again, I was sad when you two hadn't returned for months. But now, we are reunited at last. After the long journey I've had to endure to find you two, its finally over," said Nick.
